I cannot believe it didn't dawn on me before...

When Clone Force 99 is first introduced, they save Echo from imprisonment and experimentation on Skako Minor.

In the Bad Batch series finale, Echo saves Clone Force 99 (or what remains of it 💔) from imprisonment and experimentation on Tantiss.

The cavalry first saved Echo; now, he's saving the cavalry.

(If we want to take it one step further: in the series premiere, the cavalry returns to Kamino to save Omega. Now, in the series finale, Omega helps save them.)

Also, I find it rather poetic that, after years of Clone Force 99 being rejected and shunned by the regs, it's regs who agree to help free them from Tantiss.

Bo-katan obviously knowing who Ahsoka and Ezra are, and not needing much introduction to Luke as she knew Obi-wan and Anakin and has heard plenty about him from his great feats that brought down The Emperor

there's a gif of percy waving and shrugging next to gif of ezra smiling and shrugging.

next we see annabeth walking towards percy, paired with sabine walking towards ezra.

we then see percy, guesturing with his hands as he makes an explanation, and ezra doing the same.

the next two gifs are annabeth hugging percy and sabine hugging ezra.

we then see close ups, in the first gif of percy's face, from confusion to a slight smile, and ezra, smiling very happily.

the last two gifs show annabeth, letting go, almost as if a little confused of what came over herself, and sabine letting go as well.

artist's notes: these edits were a nightmare to try and convert: tumblr said the clips were too small to covert to gifs, my video editor app won't let me loop gifs, and i ended up with several road bumps while using canva. eventually i got them working though!

hi yeah i don't like these parallels

a parallel i’ve been thinking a lot about lately is the “needed a parent, but ended up with an older sibling” dynamic that exists between anakin, qui gon, & obi wan and che’ri, thrawn, & thalias

anakin & che’ri both didn’t have a strong paternal figure when they were really little, but found one when they were like 9/10, in qui gon & thrawn respectively. but then those people were taken from them all too soon (by either death or exile) and the person that was left, obi wan & thalias, still cared for their young charges a great deal & would do anything they could to protect & support them, but both of them are still growing up too and will never be able to replicate that parent/child dynamic & exist more as siblings. we get to see more of that play out with anakin & obi wan since we get to see them at various stages of life and only have earlier stages of life of che’ri & thalias in canon right now

all of these relationships are so much more complex than just this, but this has really been activating my “it’s like poetry, it rhymes” senses this week
