star wars: dark disciple spoilers (idk if i have to write that bc it came out in 2015 but)

y'all watched the bad batch s3 trailer, right? and we're all collectively freaking out abt our girl ventress returning!!!

except me. i'm horrified. ventress has the same hair she had in dark disciple. the same outfit. the same lightsaber. and this is post-O66. so.. she's alive post-O66, looking how she did before she died.

in dark disciple, asajj ventress and quinlan vos team up to try and assassinate dooku, they fall in love, vow to run away together once the mission is completed, vos Falls, ventress dies to bring vos back into the Light, and dooku lives.

it's post-O66. so. ventress could be planning to assassinate sidious instead. but. we could get to see vostress with our own two eyes AND THEN LOSE THEM. i know TBB is about the clones and will be focused on the clones, but i have been begging for TDD content animated for years now. and TBB isn't afraid of killing off beloved characters, clearly.

tldr; i'm very excited for TBB s3 but i am also very terrified at the sight of ventress in that fit in the trailer

upon finishing dark disciple i am, once again, deciding that the story-group has made a decision regarding asajj ventress, but given that it is a stupid-ass decision, i've decided to ignore it.

i did like that this story added some of legends!dathomir back in there, giving the planet an ocean and the fact that there once were eighty-metre-tall trees, even if it is, like, the smallest of scraps.

the idea of a bar on mustafar??? is the best. the idea that darth vader had neighbours on that hell planet is amazing. i'm just imagining one of them coming in after a hard day mining lava and going 'yeah, we were told to fuck off early. there was a seppie high council meeting, and now two jedi are having a massive domestic on the lava river.'

(also i can't believe that katie lucas got to work on star wars: the clone wars when she was 17???? that's some nice nepotism that worked out for her there. congrats on your genetic relations.)

so i noticed that when crosshair was holding his rifle this episode his hand wasn’t shaking (at least when he was fighting ventress) and the thing is he wasn’t thinking about his hand.

he was caught up in helping hunter and wrecker and protecting omega that he didn’t have time to be actively thinking about his hand.

and while it may not be 100% purely psychological it appears that is a BIG part of it

he wasn’t focused on trying to keep his hand from shaking so he could make the perfect shot he was just lining up his shot like he would in any other circumstance
