Teri Hatcher (born 8 December 1964; age 59) is an actress who played B.G. Robinson in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Outrageous Okona". As many of her filmed scenes were removed from the final episode, Hatcher specifically asked for her name to be removed from the credits. As such, she received no screen credit for her appearance.
She has since become known for starring as Lois Lane on the superhero series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993-97) and for her Emmy Award-nominated role as Susan Mayer Delfino on the hit comedy drama series Desperate Housewives (2004-12).
Later in 1989, Hatcher was seen in The Big Picture (with Michael McKean and Stephen Collins) and played the female lead in Tango & Cash, featuring Marc Alaimo, Roy Brocksmith, Clint Howard, Glenn Morshower, Michael J. Pollard, and Phil Rubenstein. Hatcher went on to co-star with Whoopi Goldberg in the 1991 comedy Soapdish. Subsequent films featuring Hatcher include All Tied Up (1993, with Zach Galligan) and Brainsmasher... A Love Story (1993, with Charles Rocket). 🖤⭐🖖

29. The Monster Kid Hall Of Fame
* Ron “The Ghoul” Sweed (deceased) – To many of us, THE TV horror host of Michigan, Ohio AND Toronto Ontario Canada for a good chunk of a quarter century.
* Dave Ivey (deceased) – props master, chief animator for animated segments and on-air talent for horror hosts Ron “The Ghoul” Sweed (The Ghoul Show) and “Wolfman” Mac Kelly (Nightmare Sinema, Wolfman Mac’s Chiller Drive-In). Ivey created brilliant puppets for two of the most popular horror hosts of this region, participated in fun productions on-stage and created comics for my own little horror movie fan magazine, Content Abnormal. He was a true Monster Kid from the moment the attending doctors slapped his back side and remained so through his dying days. He participated in the event to honor the life & career of Ron “The Ghoul” Sweed that was held at The Redford Theater, where The Evil Dead had it’s world premiere.
* Buddy Keys of Dearborn Heights, MI – horror host Creepy Clyde on public access TV in southeast Michigan for several years, radio talk show host who dealt solely with the paranormal, horror movies & haunted attractions in southeast Michigan with his show Spooky Talk, still sings in or just outside of Screams Ice Cream parlor in Hell, MI every Halloween season, is a contributor of his “Count Transylvania” comics to my own little Content Abnormal magazine and has also served as on-screen talent for TV Horror Hosts Ron “The Ghoul” Sweed and “Wolfman” Mac Kelly. Keys is without question a true Monster Kid at heart whose decades-long work in celebrating all things horror is undercelebrated.
* Lawson Deming (deceased) of Cleveland, OH. If there’s one horror host who everyone around here, my mom included, has the fondest memories of watching even before Ron “The Ghoul” Sweed really got going it’s Sir Graves Ghastly, who was played by Lawson Deming. Even though his show ended in 1982 (after having started in 1967) you’ll find t-shirts of Deming to this day in record stores across southeast Michigan as if he’s a punk rock icon.

Arthur Levine grew up in a middle class family that was half Orthodox Jews and half atheist. Arthur himself rejected of all fundamentalist religions, but he identify himself as Jewish. Before embarking on a writing career he started using the less Jewish-sounding Laurents to improve his job prospects.
In the military during WWII, Laurents was assigned to the U.S. Army Pictorial Service located in Astoria, Queens. While working on training films he met director George Cukor and actor William Holden. He also wrote plays for Armed Service Force Presents radio show.
Later in life he wrote his autobiography, about the war in NYC:
“Everything was rationed except the two things everyone wanted most: sex and booze. The city reeked of sex. . . . I whirled in a blender of sex and booze.”
After the war, his career in writing led him to Broadway. When his first play, “Home of the Brave” (1945), was sold to Hollywood, he achieve an opportunity to write movies
Laurents’ best known early film is “Rope” (1948) directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It tells the story about two young men who nurder a friend then hide the body in a chest while they hold a cocktail party. One of the stars of the film was Farley Granger who was already in a relationship with Laurants.

He later wrote the popular “The Way We Were” (1973) which starred Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford; and “The Turning Point” (1977) for which he was nominated for an Oscar.
But Laurents most memorable works are the musicals he wrote for Broadway (he wrote structure the plot and wrote the dialogue): “West Side Story” (1957) and “Gypsy” (1959). Laurents also directed for the stage: credits include “I can get it for you wholesale” (1962), the 1974 revival of “Gypsy”, “La Cage Aux Folles” (1983), and the bilingual production of “West Side Story” (2009.

The creative team of “West Side Story" (1957): Sondheim, Arthur Laurents, Hal Prince, Robert Griffith (a co-producer, seated), Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins.
But Laurents’ longest credit is his 52 year relationship with his partner Tom Hatcher. In 1954, fellow writer Gore Vidal suggested to Laurents that he visit a certain men’s clothing store in downtown Hollywood. The reason? The young blond man who worked there.

Laurents later described the encounter:
“It was lust, not love, at first sight.”
But out of that intense early relationship, Laurents and Hatcher were together until Hatcher’s death in 2006.

April 19 (UPI) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has turned away a last-ditch appeal from a death row inmate in Texas who says that his trial jury and his death sentence were tainted by racial prejudice.
The high court voted against the appeal from prisoner Kristopher Love, who was hired by a woman several years ago to kill her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend. Love and his attorneys have argued that the legal proceeding was unjust because it included a juror who said that people of color are more likely to commit violent crimes.
The Supreme Court turned down the appeal on Monday in a 6-3 vote. The court's liberal justices -- Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan -- voted in dissent.
Sotomayor called the ruling an "erroneous conclusion" and said that the Supreme Court should have sent the case back to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, which is the state's top court in deciding criminal matters.
"Racial bias is 'odious in all aspects,' but 'especially pernicious in the administration of justice,'" Sotomayor wrote for the minority, citing a legal precedent.
"When racial bias infects a jury in a capital case, it deprives a defendant of his right to an impartial tribunal in a life-or-death context, and it 'poisons public confidence' in the judicial process."
The dissenting justices noted that defense attorneys had tried to exclude one juror for "his stated beliefs that ... non-Whites commit more violent crimes than Whites."
The justices also noted that the juror in question, Zachary Niesman, also responded "no" on his questionnaire when asked if he sometimes personally harbors bias against people of other races.
The dissenting justices said that the Texas appellate court "never considered Love's claim on the merits" and instead concluded that since he'd received two extra peremptory strikes early in the jury selection process, "the court concluded that any error was harmless."
The additional peremptory strikes that allowed Love's defense lawyers to reject prospective jurors for any reason were used before Niesman was questioned about serving on the Love jury.
"That decision was plainly erroneous; an already-expended peremptory strike is no cure for the seating of an allegedly biased juror," Sotomayor wrote.
"I would summarily vacate the judgment ... and remand for proper consideration."
Love was ultimately convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in 2018 for taking money from a woman, Brenda Delgado, to kill her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend. The victim, Kendra Hatcher, was robbed and killed by Love in the parking garage of her Dallas-area apartment building.
The dissenting justices contended that the lack of review for Love's claims constituted a violation of the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments.
"If the juror were indeed biased, then because he sat on the jury, Love's conviction and sentence 'would have to be overturned,'" Sotomayor wrote for the minority.
Delgado and another woman, Crystal Cortes, were co-defendants in Hatcher's death. An execution date for Love, 38, has not yet been set.

Lily Rabe, Ed Harris, Vanessa Hudgens and Finn Wittrock To Star In Sony’s Adaptation Of Chuck Klosterman’s ‘Downtown Owl’
EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 Films has set an all-star cast for its adaptation of Chuck Klosterman’s Downtown Owl with Lily Rabe, Academy Award nominee Ed Harris , Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazer and August Blanco Rosenstein. Rabe will also be directing the pic with long-time collaborator Hamish Linklater, joining her as co-director. Linklater, who most recently starred in Midnight Mass, also adapted the screenplay. T Bone Burnett is doing the music.
The film was part of the Sundance Institute Creative Producing Summit and Talent Forum and will be produced by Bettina Barrow and Rabe of Kill Claudio Productions, Rebecca Green and Linklater. Laura Rister is exec producing as well as Lee Broda and Joel Michaely. Tom McLeod is co-executive producer. The pic is currently in production in Minnesota.
Three Point Capital is financing the pic. Initial artist support funding provided by Esme Grace Media.
The story is set somewhere in rural North Dakota in 1983 and is the fictional town called Owl where you won’t find cable or pop culture, but you will find a downtown with a first-rate Chevrolet dealership, three bars and a new high school English teacher whose presence upends the lives of locals just in time for a white-out blizzard for the ages. Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 Films acquired worldwide rights to the film. Barrow and Rister negotiated the deal with Stage 6 Films.
Eric Charles and Elizabeth Grave are overseeing the project for Stage 6 Films.
“We are so thrilled to have the opportunity, with this phenomenal cast, exquisite crew, and brilliant producing partners, to bring Chuck Klosterman’s human, haunting, and hilarious novel to the screen. We both grew up in small towns, towns that we love. The town of Owl, sweet and sour, has felt like home to us from the first read and we are elated to be making this love story about home into a movie,” said Rabe and Linklater.
Rabe can currently be seen in Showtime’s anthology series, The First Lady, and recently finished production on HBO’s limited series, Love and Death. She was most recently seen in Amazon Studio’s Tender Bar opposite Ben Affleck and directed by George Clooney; as well as Barry Jenkins’ Underground Railroad and Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Double Feature.
Wittrock’s film credits include Long Weekend, starring Zoë Chao, A Mouthful of Air, starring Amanda Seyfried, Judy, starring Renée Zellweger, The Last Black Man and If Beale Street Could Talk. He also starred in American Horror Story: 1984 and Ratched. Up next, he will appear alongside Mila Kunis in Netflix’s Luckiest Girl Alive and HBO Max’s Green Lantern, based on the DC comics.
Harris is a four-time Academy Award nominee and a two-time Golden Globe winner for his performances in The Hours, The Truman Show, Apollo 13, Game Change (HBO), Empire Fall (HBO) and Pollock – his feature film directing debut. His second film, as director, screenwriter and actor, was Appaloosa, co-starring Viggo Mortensen. He is returning for Season 4 of the HBO series sensation, Westworld. He will next be seen in Top Gun:Maverick, and can be seen in Netflix’s The Lost Daughter, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s award-winning film adaptation of the Elena Ferrante novel.
Grazer starred in Luca Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are for HBO. He also starred in Warner Bros. horror films It and It: Chapter Two, based on Stephen King’s classic 1986 novel of the same name, Shazam! and Shazam! Fury of the Gods and most recently voiced the lead role of Alberto Scorfano in Pixar’s Oscar-contending animated feature Luca and 20th Century Studios’ Ron Gone Wrong.
Rosenstein is a graduate of LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, and currently a student at Northwestern University. He can be seen as ‘Victor’ on the Netflix series Grand Army, created by Katie Cappiello and produced by Beau Willimon and Chris Hatcher. Storm of the Century (Full Mini Series) 1999

youtube
An American horror television miniseries written by Stephen King and directed by Craig R. Baxley. Unlike many other television adaptations of King's work, Storm of the Century was not based on a novel but was an original screenplay written by the author and directly produced for television. King described the screenplay as a "novel for television." King has called Storm of the Century his personal favorite of all the TV productions related to his works. A powerful blizzard hits the fictional small island town of Little Tall Island (also the setting of King's novel Dolores Claiborne) off the coast of Maine. The storm is so powerful that all access to the island is cut off and no one is able to leave. As the town prepares for the storm, tragedy strikes when elderly resident Martha Clarendon is brutally murdered by André Linoge (Colm Feore), a menacing stranger with a black cane decorated by a silver wolf's head. When Robbie Beals, the town manager, investigates, Linoge claims to know the repetitious inner workings of hell and states that Robbie's mother has turned cannibal and is waiting in hell to eat him. Linoge is arrested by supermarket manager and part-time constable Michael "Mike" Anderson (Timothy Daly) and his friend and deputy Alton "Hatch" Hatcher. As he is taken to his cell, Linoge makes passing remarks at nearby townspeople, revealing he knows secrets about all of them. Linoge gives no hint of his origins or motives, only vaguely saying, "Give me what I want, and I'll go away." Tim Daly as Constable Michael "Mike" Anderson Debrah Farentino as Molly Anderson Dyllan Christopher as Ralph Emerick "Ralphie" Anderson Colm Feore as Andre Linoge Jeffrey DeMunn as Town Manager Robert "Robbie" Beals Music by Gary Chang
