Ib is still very important to me.

I grew up with it, it played a role in my development as a person. I'm so happy I still get to play it and cherish it; I still get to talk to Garry about macarons and now, in the remake, I get to talk to Mary a lot more too.

Playing it, drawing it, remembering it brings back the good times, now lost in my foggy memory and even tho it looks like a nostalgic thing to say, in the end everything went well.

In the end, somebody did come soon and I'm not alone anymore

Skitch totally gets Wanda into Animal Crossing. They mostly just liked it for the fishing and bug hunting, but Wanda? Oh she loves the customization.

I can see Skitch playing Animal Crossing casually and then showing it to Wanda one day like, "check this out really quick" and her getting stuck on all the villagers and ambience they're passing by trying to get to the museum.

"That deer's really cute"

"Oh, that's Bruce, he's pretty chill. I'm probably gonna evict him soon."

"What? Why???"

"Eh, he just rubs me the wrong way."

"Yeah, my island started with those. I need to get rid of these weeds tho."

*realizes that their standing in a cluster of weeds and not tall grass* "why are there so many???"

I wanna say that Skitch's island is well looked-after and they are pretty proud of how it's coming along, but things like weeds get overlooked sometimes. It's an "out of sight or of mind" kinda thing, but it never gets too egregious.

But this just spirals for Wanda after she decides to check the game out herself. I feel like her island is very aesthetic™️ and pretty maintained. Wanda also plays casually, but she keeps things in order. She needs to have peach trees, and she must have Shino on her island.

Wanda's assistant, Mandy, is also an avid player of AC, so I can see her giving Wanda tips and trading stuff often. I feel it in my heart of hearts.

Also, every time Skitch visits Wanda's island, they leave behind a little gift for her, probably by her house. This ranges from innocuous nonsense like a bag of weeds to something Wanda was actually looking for.

I hate talking about my IBS because most people are either completely grossed out or just like, "Shit problems, huh? HAHAHAHA" and it's like... This isn't funny and I've been living with this for as long as I remember. It SHOULD be talked about more without ridicule.

#personal #Literally ever since I was a little girl I had bathroom problems. My mom tells me it all the time.#But I was only diagnosed a few years ago and I HATE that GP and I never went back.#They had the worst bedside manner and offered NOTHING but dietary changes.#And I made said changes even cutting out dairy and it doesn't help #Still remember the worst flare up ended me in the ER and that ER visit was one of the most traumatic things I went through.#Not to mention the nurses were rude as fuck but my local hospital is pretty much known for being God awful.#My IBS has been kicking my ass completely the past two weeks and I'm constantly terrified I'll end up back in the ER.#I'm hopeful that this new GP I'm seeing in a week can offer SOMETHING. I'm tired of living like this.

as a guy that loves getting into obscure media that like. maybe 5 people talk about now. it is interesting the difference between consuming media that is SUPER popular and everyone loves your fave (a curse i would never wish upon anyone. the posts will never be good) and a media that like. there is NO ONE actively posting about. it has barely any fan presence online. and honestly its kind of peaceful

#twist rambles #like. being into the wit/cher books and games and show (the good one. the hexer) was a hellish experience. there was such isnane shipping o #that old man everywhere. there were 5 million bad takes. there were ibs whump fics (which is a plus. more of those should exist).#and it was just like. 50 million incorrect characterizations of my faves. it made me a bit insane. but then irt vol/foss and gan/gsta #its like. peaceful silence. like gan/gsta actually well. has like a minor audience i just have a lot of the tag blocked bc racism is insane #esp when ur like wow ^-^ would love if this complexly written black character was treated half as nicely as the popular guy in that media.#it does not happen. but w vol/foss. there is NOTHING on ao3 (good for me due to loving to torture myself and friends w bad fanfic) and mayb #five posters in the tumblr tag. like NO ONE is really actively playing this that ik of. even on the jp side there hasnt been a ton of #interest for A DECADE. but its weirdly peaceful other than i CANNOT talk to anyone whos played it and go insane over how well its written #its so dire that ive contemplated emailing the person who made a rly helpful fansite back in. 2004 or earlier. and being like hi. thank you #nearly 20 years later lmao. like im glad both of those medias arent super popular BUT it does mean i rly have to make all the content for i #or pester chris for 5 million hours as im in the vol/foss agony mines. but all of that to be said. popular media is such a hellhole for fan #content most of the time. so its been weirdly nice to just be peacefully vibing. even w f/e im still on shadow dragon so its VERY like ok i #care abt this old man that everyone else doesnt like so i can just. peacefully exist.

*lies on ground* I have written the first drafts of my essay responses, so now I just need to reread them and make edits so I can quickly and easily submit them w/ the residency application

#I haven't written anything like this since uh...#since I think I was trying to appeal my thesis topic which got rejected the first time I tried to submit it #which was back in like...2019 or something #I mean sure I also wrote the thesis paper which was HELLA academic writing but at least that was like #very directed on a singular topic and also the only thing I had to think about for like 6 months straight #I'm still scared as hell but nothing gets me to act despite my anxiety about something quite like a deadline #god I have to think about how to word my ''please write me a letter of rec'' to my old professors who haven't heard from me in literal year #but that's for future me present me has to figure out how I'm gonna get to sleep tonight on IBS Pains Night no.2!#the good thing is this will all be over by Wednesday before I have to go to work but god I hate being all wound up like this #oracle of lore

Will forever love and adore the game Ib, it's the very first rpgmaker horror game I've played and it has a very special place in my heart. On that same note, it's also very funny how my memories of playing this in the past was all bout how scary the game was but now that I've revisited it, it actually aint even scary bro.
