I'll be honest idk what you're referring to there but whatever it is I'm going to respectfully disagree, the phrase "noticing patterns" is Exceptionally common (and is in fact my Job as a research scientist), and in this instance seems so incredibly tailored to the tumblr spectator sport of crazed media analysis that I think you'd have to double over backwards to read anything else into it

(putting more into this, in general I'm also not inclined to just hand phrases off to antisemitists or other bigots just cause some asshole probably used it next to some powerpoint slide of late night tv hosts and salaries or something - in that instance someone using the 'connected 2 dots' meme or like an emoji thinking face rather than the 'noticing patterns' phrase would Also be antisemitic in that context, but it wouldn't necessarily make those images antisemetic themselves ya feel?)

GREAT question. it's taken me a couple days to answer because i was like "this is probably not going to be surprising to anyone," but hey. we love character consistency. and i will use this as an excuse to plug some artists i like!

nova is the only one whose music taste does not overlap with my own at All. she's an EDM girlie through and through. the thumping bass is stimmy for her. the louder the better. unfortunately i do not have good EDM recs because my own autism recoils from it LMAO

ruby likes traditional music from home. lots of fiddle, lots of clapping, lots of singing. the kind of music you find going into a pub during a jam session. i also like to think her parents are musicians who met through their love of music... one group i really love is afro-celt sound system, which combines west african drums with celtic fiddle. i picture her parents' music sounding like this since she has a fantasy nigerian dad and fantasy irish mum. also, i imagine she listens to fantasy raidió na gaeltachta whenever she's alone. even though it makes her so homesick she feels like she's gonna throw up.

i think devin would LOVE shit like fire from the gods. really angry political rap metal. devin likes music loud and furious. anti-establishment vibes are Technically legal in tachni (as long as they don't "incite violence"), so. this type of band Absolutely exists.

i think it would be cathartic Especially because devin has the rageful nazi-punching instincts of the best angry metal frontwomen, but has been given a life where she's basically being forced at gunpoint to be an american senator. Harrowing .

sol is the only one who Might be surprising.... i think she mostly listens to soft, sometimes-emotional piano. she wants everything to be quiet forever & i don't think she'd get much out of angry music. i like to picture her listening to stuff like this gorgeous piece by elijah brossenbroek. he's one of my favorite favorite Favorite composers of All Time. i actually bought a book of his pieces for my sister to learn years ago & he was very kind in the emails we exchanged!

chat i'm having random thoughts about eos post-game and eevee protagonist. it's no secret that eevee is a popular pick for this game and imo no matter what you choose to evolve them into there's a very poetic explanation for each (though i'm not sure how well i can articulate my thoughts lol). like,

- Flareon: coming from a world of darkness and sharp hostility, the hero chooses to become a soft and fluffy fire type. the hero is so smitten by the sun in the past (and so horrified by the lack of it in the future) that they become a fire type to bring that warmth and light wherever they go! (plus flareon's my favorite :])

- Jolteon: similar to flareon, wanting to bring light to the people of the past. there's also something to be said about the fact electric type are immune to paralysis, as well as the idea that hero was gone for months after defeating dialga, then once they come back they're alive! they want to run, and jump, and celebrate that they're here!

- Vaporeon: the fact that Grovyle and hero were seperated in a storm, that they met partner for the first time on a beach, that the hidden land is across the ocean, (smth smth manaphy, ive never played that far), that water doesnt flow in the future, eeeeverything about chapter 5, and that the partner found comfort in the krabby's bubbles. water in eos is important when it comes to partings and reunions.

- Umbreon: they're a dark type. do i need to explain.

okayifyouinsist, hero comes from a world of darkness!! even if they don't remember it, that darkness affected them on such a deep level that their body never forgot! as well, umbreons and dusknoirs have lots of golden rings on their bodies, and umbreons have a type advantage against dusknoirs your partner still loves you in your new form, but everytime they look at you they can't help but remember Him, and shudder. it's about being forced to reckon with the fact you placed your trust in Dusknoir, and he took advantage of it and betrayed you.

- Espeon: right this wasnt just about umbreon. espeon and umbreon were made to be parallels; where umbreon has high defenses, espeon has a high special attack (+ dark type is immune to psychic). where umbreon has a type advantage on Dusknoir, espeon has a weakness. an umbreon hero will never trust Him again; and espeon hero chooses to believe in second chances.

- Leafeon: GROVYLEEE, it's about choosing to change your very dna so that you never forget your friend! in the short time you know him, you fully understand why your past self stood by his side! there's sorrow in that without your memories you'll never fully understand your relationship with him, but your soul remembers, and you still love your friend. deep down, a leafeon hero is ashamed they ever considered Grovyle a criminal, and wishes they could have had more time with him, in less dire circumstances. last note, the fact that the world of the future was so barren and lifeless without the sun, and the fact you become a leafeon to reflect how the future is alive. :)

- Glaceon: the fact that the hero comes from a world that was frozen, and still becomes an ice type, the future was cold, but a hero glaceon still found beauty in it. it's about remaining hopeful and that with or without fixing the future, you still need to survive in this world. it's about understanding your situation and making peace with it, while still striving to make it better.

- Sylveon: i remember that when fairy type came out, people were trying to justify why it was strong against dragon, and my favorite explanation for it was that in "fairy" tales, the hero slays the dragon. the sylveon hero did it! they slew the dragon, and their story has finally come to an end! as well, it's about wanting to give off a cheery look. it's about saying "don't look at the violence and darkness, look at me, smile! i'm here to help you!" (we'll have Explorers DX someday, trust 🙏. )

hi it’s me again (symbolism anon) this time to yell at you/with you about how absolutely HILARIOUS the inchident is to me. like, regardless of the original video in all its vine core glory, the background story behind it is legitimately so so funny. the fact that they were both being track menaces (fork found in kitchen) pushing each other on track, i can easily visualise. but then enter babyface!charles being a menace pushing max off track AFTER max had already won the race into a puddle of water. i emphasise on this, because in an interview charles says the water was “probably arriving at his hips” and that is what’s HYSTERICAL to me, the fact that he pushed his opponent out of pure pettiness into a huge puddle only to then shrug it off on camera as a simple incident.

best part of the whole thing: they were both disqualified from the race after. legendary origin story of you ask me, and again without even touching on their perception of the inchident now. (again, I could go on.)

oh again i ENCOURAGE you to go on ...

listen the inchident gained fame for funny pronunciation and bieber-hair, but it is so much deeper. the fact that there had been overtakes on track that charles deemed unfair (even max said in that one quote how it was "a bit defensively" which in fairness we all know means he drove a bit like a maniac), the fact that charles pushed him on track before, overtook him, had a battle of gestures on track too (we know max was already fuming by that point and charles was already petty by this point) and then max winning? taking the lead back and charlie pushing him off?! AFTER the flag? into a puddle? the pettiest move ever made in the history of men?

there is something so absolutely hilarious about charles being the casual little menace that he is, shrugging it off, seemingly getting away with it to a point because yep he got disqualified BUT SO DID MAX so no win taken from him. cause max has always been the one to beat. even to this day, the way even bryan tends to give him max' lap times (and yes he is leading the championship so i get it in theory blablabla but still), the way it is still all about beating max.

it is hands down also why i think max over the years learned how to race charles. i think it is max who has matured, truly. like yes charles is a grown man now too and probably will take less risks to a degree but i think the reason they did not crash or pull more insane moves is mostly MAX maturing. as in i have no clue what conversation went down post austria 2019 but i am certain whatever charles unleashed on max put the fear of god in that man cause he did not pull something like that after, not to that capacity and i truly think it's cause max understands one thing about charles: he WILL rather end both their races than lose out to max. he WILL not hesitate to send them both flying and he will be absolutely unhinged battling max the way he always has been.

How many worms on strings must it take to fill a trench coat so they are able to buy a movie ticket?

spectacular question.

first we need to know the average volume of a standard worm. keeping in mind that a worm is generally less than a gram in weight, that volume could be really small if you sincerely compressed it—so for these measurements, we are assuming that none of our worms in the trench coat are compressed. we're not packing them in there like straw, they're all standing on each other's heads to puppet the trench coat.

assuming this, then, i divided up a single worm into eight segments that could each be approximated to be about the shape of a uniform cylinder, calculated the volume of each of those cylinders, and then added the total volume up. in all, our uncompressed worm came out to about 38.27 cm^3. diagram below:

(a string was used to take the circumference at the midpoint of each segment, and these were then used to calculate the diameter of each segment for the volume calculation.)

okay. we're going to say that the worms are occupying your average adult male-fit trench coat. they would be looking to fill about 80kg worth of space there, 80,000 cm^3. (1 kg = 1,000 cm^3 at human body density). but we need to subtract the legs, because they are most certainly going to have the trench coat drag on the ground. so:

one total leg would come out to about 13.488 kg of your body. double that, and we are subtracting 26.976 kg from our estimated weight. they also would not fill out the hands, so we're taking off a tiny bit more in the form of 1.04 kg. we're leaving the head in the calculation, because i presume they will be filling out an inconspicuous hat too.

put together, this gives us a volume of about 51,984 cm^3, or a final answer of 1,358.35 worms to fill a trench coat!

this also means that you're able to calculate how many worms you are total so long as you know how many kg you are. take your weight in kg, convert it to cm^3 by multiplying it by 1,000, and then divide that number by 38.27. all together, i am approximately 1,306.50 worms large.

Can you play piano at all?

Soda was just writing to distract himself at this point, grabbing whatever little paper slip he could and scribbling something down on it to distract himself from whatever else he had to deal with — which, apparently, was a lot.

Well, if I try hard enough, I'd say I could play a little bit of everything!

But if I told you I could play piano, I'd be lyin' straight to yer face. HAHA.

Ponyboy is the one who does keys. I do strings and I know the harmonica a little bit, n' if I get a rhythm, it's not to hard to play drums.

All of us (me n' my brothers) are pretty musically aligned. But we ain't no professionals or nothin'.

The door chimes open as a collection of socs walk in, and Soda immediately brushes the note off the counter and underneath it.

He watches as the collection of what looks to be 5 all trail their way to the back of the DX, talking about some sort of story about a buddy with a car problem the week earlier. That's as much as Soda can hear out of it, at least.

Two of them separate from the group and make their way over to the counter, and Soda sits up right and puts on his charming smile.

“Well how do, boys? This all for ya?”

“Yeah, that'll be it.” The blonde one replies, coiffed curls bouncing as he glanced outside. He wasn't interested in conversation.

Soda just nodded and rang up their treats. And the same routine followed as the other 3 made their way into line, each getting the same small talk and ring up process.

The fourth one held the line for a bit, trying to grab something from behind the shelves, making up a new decision on what pack of cigarettes he wanted every time Soda went and tried to grab one. He was fucking around, and Soda clocked that immediately. He didn't mind, it was just wasting his time.

But, at the same time, being made fun of was also distracting him. So maybe it was worth it, in some depressing sense.

After about 5 minutes of this soc dragging Soda around, he finally settled on Winstons. Soda hesitated as he grabbed at them—always does—and placed them on the counter as he sat back down.

“Had your fun?” Soda joked roughly, ringing up the cigarettes and putting them in a bag, despite not asking if he should in the first place.

The group of 5 boys were cackling like hyenas, giggling to themselves, pushing each other around before the 4th one got his things. “Yeah, we're savvy.”

The final boy came up and nodded at Soda, grinning at him in a way that made Soda... confused. He was trying to pass some message off to Soda in body language, and quite frankly, it was a little funny because Soda couldn't tell if it was an apology or if he was flirting with the way he was keeping his eyes low.

Either way, Soda didn't comment on it. He just closed the register and waved to them on their way out. “Thanks for stopping by!”

He sighs tiredly and rubs his hands against the counter as he pushes himself back in his stool, like a cat stretching. “What even is today...” He mumbled to himself.

He looked up and over his shoulder at the clock. Four hours. Four more hours until he could go help look for Ponyboy.

He looked back under the counter and took up the note, folding it up and putting it back into the jar.

4. Can I be real and vulnerable with you the ghost bar worldbuilding is actually so underdeveloped it's embarrassing. Although the thing about Glenn is that he's a weird rehash/upgrade of an old oc I plucked from an entirely different discontinued story and I kept the broad strokes of his backstory basically the same when I put him in the ghost bar world. So in a way Glenn's old backstory (being cursed by some sort of magic, being in a weird limbo) influenced the world I put him in (magic in some form needs to have existed there, i want there to be other in limbo creatures for him to interact with like ghosts and cryptids) more than the other way around.

19. Glenn can play guitar and piano!!! I like to think he plays either the haunted piano in the bar or his own guitar for his ghost guests at least once a week <3

If its about the object insertion, seen people range it from vaguely phallic shaped objects (i could not look at vegetables without giggling for days after i found out about it lmao) like veggies or bottles (the handle of a hairbrush once, notably), to some really unhinged stuff lol. Dont know which part of the scale you might be comfortable with, so i would suggest looking some up in ao3 maybe? Its really one of those to each their own, since "object" can be so many things. Hairbrush/bottle might be safe-ish bets in this situation but if you come across something else that you want to swap it for go for it!

Thank YOU for the ask! For a little while it felt like just a personal project for me and a handful of friends + mutuals but I'm really happy that others are coming out of the woodwork to appreciate League!Viktor and talk about how they miss him and how sad they are that he gets lost in the flood of Arcane content... Hello! I found your build of the Baelaisa's "Casa do Mar" and I absolutely loved it! I started playing The Sims for the first time ever this year and I'm having a grand time, but I'm lightyears behind you from decoring my houses as nicely as you.
