Free string synthesizer sample plugin (Strykebrett)
Strykebrett is a free sample library for Decent Sampler featuring the Hohner / Logan String Melody II with some added features. All the sounds in the video are from a single instance of the plugin with no additional plugins or effects added.
User Interface: The user interface offers precise control over every aspect of the instrument and effects. Explore parameters to refine your sound, including control over the six drawbars, envelope, amplitude modulation with LFOs, highpass and lowpass filters, velocity/dynamics, oscillator drifting, and the immersive effects of ensemble, phaser, echo and reverb.
Mixer (Bass / Treble): Unleash the power of the six drawbars to shape your tone with precision. Each drawbar controls the amplitude of a specific octave or sound, offering you unparalleled control over the instrument's harmonic richness.
ADSR Envelope: Shape your sound precisely with the Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release parameters. Whether you desire a punchy, staccato tone or a smooth, lingering ambiance, the ADSR envelope allows you to tailor the dynamics to your liking.
Low-frequency Oscillator (LFO): The Rate and Depth knobs enable you to modulate the amplitude of four of the drawbars with the desired depth and rate. The LFOs for the treble section has a sine waveform for smooth transitions. The LFO for the bass section has a sawtooth waveform for a rhythmic effect.
Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF): Strykebrett has a highpass filter and a lowpass filter. The highpass filter ranges from 20 Hz to 2000 Hz and the lowpass filter ranges from 200 Hz to 8000 Hz.
Oscillators:
Dyn: Turns on or off the velocity controlled amplitude
Drift: When enabled, each sample will have a slight pitch drift. The pitch drift for each sample is unique and independent. It's less pitch drift in the bass samples than the treble samples.
Ensemble:
O: 3 stereo choruses with different speed and depth
Acc: Turns the ensemble off
Solo: Fast stereo vibrato
Organ: A slow stereo chorus
Effects: The phaser is the built-in phaser from Decent Sampler. The echo and reverb effects are achieved using carefully crafted impulse responses. The echo effect employs a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo recorded twice for stereo, while the reverb effect draws from a Chase Bliss Audio & Meris CXM 1978 reverb pedal with a room setting.
Echo: Select from two distinctive echo options: the short echo, delivering a classic slapback effect, and the long echo, characterized by a slower decay and numerous repeats.
Reverb: You'll also find two reverb effects: the short reverb, evoking the intimacy of a small room, and the long reverb, enveloping your sound in the vastness of a spacious environment.

never getting over how. melancholy im here sounds
the chords in the chorus sound a little more triumphant at first but it kinda just sounds like a half victory. the pain of the journey is still there, even at the end of it all. but its alright. i will be with you. im here

Corrupted strings au
-Corrupted forms of techno, country and rock
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are trolls corrupted by repressed negative feelings
When transformed, they are considered dangerous and will attack if they feel threatened, although they have a certain degree of consciousness, allowing them to calm down and return to their troll form, some are more dangerous than others.
techno: his limbs serve both in water and on land, being fast in both, his pupils will become slits when he feels in danger and he will become aggressive.
rock: they are mischievous and their small size will make them fast, they have sharp teeth and can create flames that are difficult to put out, when he feels in danger he will spread the fire in his head as far as he can.
country: they are big and they will use that to crush whatever is in front of them. They will use the star to hypnotize or as a distraction to escape.
Tumblr media
Once you start to transform it is very difficult to calm down again, it is possible to avoid it but somewhat difficult, some transformations are more sudden than others.
(delegates as an example)
•The techno will have blurred vision, when they are already at the limit their tears will be black and will change suddenly.
•The rock ones will have a severe headache feeling sensitive to sound, when they are at the limit their eyes will smoke, bursting into flames.
•The country ones are faster, feeling tired and heavy at first, transforming quickly.
When they are changed they all look the same, sometimes only the height is different.

pop music would be 8 million times better to me if it still had electric guitars and strings in it

thinks really hard about Joy Of Remembrance - Celeste [Farewell] OST bc. it opens with such a flourish, in an almost feathery soundfont not quite like what you'd heard leading into it, the violin setting up the primary melody... and then the backing track kicks in and its almost discordant. not quite, but its enough to be Jarring. like some sort of stumble. and it keeps that dissonance, keeps that feeling as though its hastily pushing several different discolored pieces into the same track, struggling to make them fit, harmonize-- through pretty much the entire track.
the clashing of the high violin and the more chiptune-esque lead, each one almost trying to overwhelm the other parts all at once. but then when it quiets down just before the loop, the more somber strings feel almost like some sort of parting in the clouds-- not a mark of clarity, but one of something that lies underneath the hastily spilled coats of paint.
its trying desperately to be a declaration of openness and understanding, but that Cant be what it is (re: madeline's denial and stubbornness pushing forward). a loud, beautiful piece that Wants to be something it isnt-- actively pushing down the realization of what it Actually stands for. the dawning understanding something is terribly wrong, but simply excusing it as something else, overwriting it with a reality you can more easily swallow.
pushing for the answer she Wants rather than the answer she Needs.
gotta catch that bird.
