Y/N glared at the back of a random girl’s head when she saw Sirius leaning against the wall beside her. Talking and flirting. Talking and flirting. Her glare turned colder if that was possible when Sirius tossed a wink over his shoulder to a random guy passing. 

“Merlin, he’s such a flirt.” Remus sighed and shook his head in slight amusement, but his face turned concerned when Y/N didn’t hum or respond in agreement. “Y/N/N… You alright?” 

“Hm? Oh yeah yeah, I’m fine.” Her voice was light as if she was bringing herself out of a daze. James shared a look with Remus, a distinct look of pity on their faces. James finally spoke up, “You know you could just tell him?” A sharp look was thrown his way in response. “Y/N I’m not messing with you. Just talk to him.”

“I can’t do that.” 

Remus furrowed his eyebrows, “Why not?”

“He’s not mine in any way, shape, or form. I just… Just need to accept that.”

“We can’t keep doing… this.”

Y/N froze. She couldn’t bring herself to look at the boy next to her on his bed, “Is that because of what’s her face?”

“Jessica? Yeah… I um, I asked her to be my girlfriend and, um she said yes. So…” He ran his hand through his hair awkwardly as he waited for her response. Y/N nodded numbly, “I’m-” She finally turned to look at him and reached for his hand. “I couldn’t be happier for you Siri. Honestly.”

He smiled shyly, “Yeah? You’re fine?”

She let out a laugh, hoping it didn’t sound as forced as it was. “I’m fine! We said no strings attached and there aren’t. I’m just so happy you found someone.”

She shouldn’t be jealous. She has no right to be, but she couldn’t help it. She hated the disgusting feeling growing in the pit of her stomach. She wasn’t anyone special to him, she was just someone he’d call upon. Someone he would touch, but never truly hold. She hated that she let herself fall for him. She wasn’t his in any way, shape, or form.

She reached for her jacket and slipped her shirt back on as she made her way to the door, “I’m happy for you.”

Music blared through the common room, and the chatter of all the upperclassmen was an underlining sound that filled the room. Y/N normally enjoyed parties like this but today she sat on the stairs of a back corridor, hidden, with a cup in her hand as she tried to keep her tears at bay. Tonight was supposed to be a night to have fun and finally get her mind off Sirius. Not a night where she saw him making out with his new girl, pinning her against a wall. 

She knew she didn’t stand a chance, so why did it bother her so much? Why couldn’t her heart just move on? 

James walked around the corner and saw Y/N curled in on herself leaning on the wall beside her. “Y/N/N?” She looked up with slightly red eyes and a pathetic smile, “Oh, hey Jamie.” Her voice has hoarse as she wiped her nose with the napkin she held under her cup. The bespectacled boy moved to sit on the step above her and ran his hand up and down her spine in a comforting motion. “I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t apologize. It’s not your fault.”

“I know it’s not my fault, but I’m sorry that he’s an idiot. I thought I raised him better.” He smiled as a weak laugh fell from her lips. Before she could reply the sound of hurried footsteps and giggles floated to her ears. 

Sirius made his way around the corner with his girl clinging to his arm, swaying slightly. “Oh… Looks like this spot is taken.” A high-pitched giggle fell from her lips as she tried to tug Sirius away. He pulled back, stopping himself from moving, as he tried to take a step forward. “What’s wrong? Y/N, are you alright?” 

She couldn’t bring herself to look at him nor could she bring herself to answer. She angled her head down turning it slightly more into James’ side. The boy holding her felt his heart, ache as he shook his head at Sirius, silently telling him to go. 

Once he left the pair alone Y/N sighed and fully placed her head on James’ knees. 

“You okay?”

She shook her head and sighed, “I’ll be fine. Right now I’m just being dramatic, aren’t I?” He stroked her hair, “You’re not being dramatic. This hurts, it’s okay to hurt.”

“Yeah it hurts, but it’s just pathetic at this point. All the things I’ve done to get his attention just so he doesn’t notice. It’s embarrassing.”

James sighed to himself and bent down to kiss the side of her head, never stopping his hand in her hair as she cried silently, knowing this will be a long journey for her. But as long as I’m there for her, he thought to himself, she’ll be fine.

The progress she had made from that moment exceeded her expectations, and she was proud of herself. Within a few months, she had healed herself. She would’ve been even better -at least that's what she told herself- if Sirius didn’t approach her after lunch...

“You want… You want me?” 

“Yes!” Sirius let out an exasperated laugh, “And I’m sorry it took me so long to notice you. To realize what I had in front of me, and I know I was a total jerk about it then. James gave me an earful about it, but I see you now.”

She was cornered. So many feelings flooded her at once. Anger and frustration for him springing this on her unannounced. All the feelings she had finally worked through bubbled up in her chest again. She hated feeling so weak in front of him, it felt like giving into something she promised herself not to.

Y/N rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, trying to swallow the emotions rising in her throat along with her lunch. “No.” Tears pricked in the back of her eyes, “No no no. It’s too late. It’s been a year Sirius! And all it took was for you to go date some other girl, break up with her and then notice me?” She shook her head and backed away from him slightly, “That’s not fair.” Her voice was barely above a whisper.

“I know. I know it’s not fair, and I’m sorry! Honestly, I feel terrible about it all.” He tried to step forward to hold her hands but she turned away from him, not giving him the chance.

“You can’t just expect me to be fine with this. I did everything imaginable to get your attention. It was dumb love, the type of love that was toxic for me.” Her throat got tighter and tighter with each word before she was finally crying.

“I moved on, I’m happy now! Why can’t you just leave me alone? I wasn’t yours then and I’m most certainly not yours now. You can’t just expect me to forgive and forget. I had chosen you over all of our friends and I’m grateful they didn’t walk out on me, but I wouldn’t have blamed them. I was a pain in the ass when you got together with her. Ask James. Ask Remus. How many times have they caught me crying over you as if you were mine to begin with? As if you broke up with me, but Sirius we weren’t dating. You didn’t love me. I wasn’t yours! Get that through your thick skull. I'm. Not. Yours.” She let out a breath and unclenched her fists before finally looking up at the taller boy.

He stared at her, tears lining his eyes as he opened and closed his mouth trying to get words out. 

“Don’t try to fix something I already fixed myself.” She took a deep breath, “Please.”

PH celebration of Kid Krow's 3rd Anniversary

Anybody would go overdrive on the 3rd anniversary of Conan Gray’s best selling album, Kid Krow. 

In celebration, fans of Gray in the Philippines arranged a cupsleeve event which took place exactly a month after his concert in the country. 

Dubbed as Coneheads, March 18 was the targeted day of a group of friends which held the event at the Black Scoop Cafe in the Mall of Asia Arena.

20 attendees mingled to the tune of Gray’s music along with the handing out of freebies such as a cupsleeve, photo cards, a photo strip, and a hand banner.

With ages ranging from 11 to 25 years old, each Conehead was given a drink stub to claim a drink of their choice from the said cafe.

A raffle was also held for a chance to win merchandise, like notepads, tote bags, and necklaces.

Paula Dela Cruz, one of the organizers of the event said, “It was a delight being around people who have the same interest as you. We shared our own stories about our experiences during the concert while listening and singing along to his songs over a cup of drinks.”

Most of the attendees were also able to attend Gray’s concert the month before and they said it was an amazing experience overall.

Even two out of the seven winners of the previous UMUSIC PH’s–Conan Gray Party Bus who were lucky to meet the singer were present.

For Dela Cruz, they are not aware of any official Conan Gray fan event in the Philippines, if anything, this may be the first one to take place in the country.

When asked if there is a possibility for a next fan event, they’ve already planned for the 1st year Anniversary of Gray’s latest album, Superache to be held on June 24.

The location is to be announced but raffle prizes and more giveaways are to be expected.

Warning(s): fear of rejection

Summary: (Season 7) After an arguably poorly timed confession, (Y/n) goes into complete panic mode. When they try to backtrack later, Clara refuses to let the event go.

Author's Note: I changed who this was going to originally be about because I really wanted to write for Clara. I firmly believe the 11th Doctor and Clara were a major part of my bisexual awakening.

SUPERACHE - CONAN GRAY WRITING CHALLENGE MASTERLIST

I wanted to die.

Genuinely, I was fully prepared to open the TARDIS doors and throw myself into deep space. However, I could never get past the Doctor to make it that far.

"Did you develop laser vision?"

I jumped when the Doctor spoke up.

"What," I asked.

"You're glaring at the door like you're trying to destroy it," he said. "I was wondering if you were trying to utilize some secret laser vision powers that I didn't know about."

"Could I have hidden that from you, if I had those powers?"

"Probably not," he muttered. "So, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong-"

"(Y/n)."

He looked at me with an eyebrow raised and a small frown. I held my hands up, walking over to him.

"Alright, fine, I messed up," I explained. "Really, really bad."

"Anyone dead?"

"No."

"Destroy anything?"

"Not physically."

"Injured anyone?"

"Only my pride."

"Then you couldn't have messed up that bad-"

"I told Clara that I loved her."

"Oh," he mumbled. "That's not bad."

"I ran before she could reply."

"Oh," he repeated. "That is bad."

"Thanks."

"What happened?"

"We were running, she almost got hurt, I got protective, she asked me why I was so protective, and I just kinda... blurted it out," I explained quickly. "I didn't mean to. I wanted to make some romantic gesture out of it, but it was the only explanation that I had."

"It's alright," the Doctor tried to comfort me. "However bad you think it is, it's probably not close to it."

I sighed, hiding my face in my hands. "Can you just erase it from my memory or something?"

"Nope," he said. "You have to deal with this."

"Doctor."

We both looked over when Clara spoke up. God, how long had she been listening to that conversation? I probably looked like even more of an idiot now.

"Can you give us some room to talk," she asked.

"Yes, of course," he nodded, taking a few steps away from me. We both stared at him. "Oh, you meant leave."

"I meant leave."

"Sorry, I'll leave you both to it," he waved as he left the console room.

Once he was gone, Clara started rounding the console to speak to me.

"Listen, what happened... that was a heat of the moment thing," I started rambling. "We were both stressed, and it was a scary situation. That's all it was."

"Was it," she asked.

I nodded.

"Alright... I don't believe you," she crossed her arms over her chest.

"You don't?"

"Not even a little bit," her little smug smile both infuriated me and made my knees weak. This was just unfair. "I'm sorry, but in my experience, you don't blurt out that you love someone like that. You just don't."

I closed my eyes for a moment before looking back at her. I was so focused on everything that could go wrong. The awkwardness was inevitable, but what if she hated me now? Didn't want to travel with me? I would be willing to walk away, so she could keep traveling with the Doctor. I wouldn't take that from her. I just feared losing her completely.

I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Clara. I'm sorry for what happened. And you don't have to say anything back. We can just forget this ever happened. Ignore it and move on. Just keep running, y'know-"

"Stop it," she grabbed my upper arms as she cut me off. I stopped talking, just looking at her with wide eyes. "Say it again."

"What? The whole little speech-"

"(Y/n), say it again."

"I... I love you," I said quietly.

Clara moved so her hands cupped the sides of my face. "I love you too."

My breath caught in my throat. She leaned forward and pressed her lips to mine. I froze for a few moments. My eyes were wide and I didn't move at all.

After a moment, I got my hands to move and touch her sides, pulling her closer as my eyes fluttered shut.

She pulled away a few moments later.

"Was that so difficult," she asked.

"Shush," I muttered.

She chuckled and pecked my lips again. "I love you, (Y/n)."

"I love you too."

"Good news all around," we stepped away from each other when the Doctor walked back in. For someone who has been around for probably close to 2,000 years, he did not understand the art of good timing. "Now... where would the happy couple like to go?"

I looked at Clara.

"Future or past," she asked.

"Future."

"That's what I was thinking."

"Future it is," the Doctor said excitedly. He stopped for a moment. "I'm happy for you both... truly."

We both smiled at him. He turned back to the console. Clara reached over and grabbed my hand. It was nice to have those fears alleviated. Panic stopped, crisis averted.

And a pretty girlfriend.

I have to say... it was a major win on my part.

Astronomy

pairing: regulus black x fem!reader

el's thoughts: right person, wrong time.

They told her their love was as bright as the stars… She should've remembered that all stars fade over time. 

Regulus and Y/N were one of the lucky ones. Their relationship was known to everyone at the school, but those who truly knew them adored their relationship. They were the Slytherin prince and princess of Hogwarts and they truly earned their titles. 

Students paused and stared as the couple walked through the halls. The girls are envious of Y/N for catching a true gentleman, and the guys are jealous of Regulus for catching the literal translation of angel on earth. 

Hand in hand they walked, not paying attention to any of the whispers or glances they received. They were in their own little world as Regulus walked his girl to her next class, not really caring if it made him late for his own.

Their love was compared to the stars consistently. Stars were a complicated topic, but when they were understood it was magical. They were a sight to marvel at, their beauty was a breathtaking sight. Magical. Bright. That was their love, so it only made sense to make the comparison.  

Past cerfew and not a care in the world, the two of them made their way up the stairs of the astronomy tower. Their spot. Their little hide away from the gossip and away from the stresses of school. They would come up here and rant or just catch up properly, but Y/N’s favorite moments were the ones where they didn’t say anything. It was a peaceful silence that settled among the both of them, either wrapped in each other’s arms or just sitting side by side. That’s all that was needed from either of them to feel comfortable.

As time went on, their feelings for each other weren’t as strong. It became comfortable, it wasn’t love anymore but neither of them could say it was never love. 

Y/N had been told that if you really love someone you’ll feel the same way as you did the first time you realized you were in love. The feeling wouldn’t ever go away. It would be impossible. It was supposed to be impossible.

Regulus sat next to her, both of them leaning against the railing of the astronomy tower. “I’m sorry.”

Y/N only nodded and avoided eye contact. She knew it was coming, and they both did but they ignored it for as long as they could. They were on their last thread. “Don’t… Don’t be sorry Reg. You have nothing to be sorry for, in the end, we only hurt each other more. Regulus turned to her and wipe her cheek when a tear finally slipped its way past her waterline. He ranched for her hand and pulled her into his side, kissing the side of her head. “I’m so sorry.”

“Stop apologizing, Reg.” She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, “Please stop apologizing.”

Y/N knew then that what they had might’ve been love once but not anymore. Maybe he was the right person for her, but they fell in love at the wrong time, because stars don’t burn forever.

orchid ⇢ what’s a song you consider to be perfect?

The song I chose this time is Maniac by Conan Gray. Leaving the realm of anti-drops, this song is like a throwback perfection. 80s music is ageless and I love modern takes on it and Conan is just such an amazing artist it was bound to be awesome. His Kid Krow album is perfect from strat to finish and I can’t wait for Superache to be released on the 24th. And about the song, it’s another one that I listen to both the regular track and the clear instrumental, because they’re both phenomenal.

To begin with the instrumental, it’s full of synthesizers typical for this 80s vibes. The chorus has mostly bassline with drums and a sprinkle of synths and as someone who loves the sound of bass, I’m in Heaven. It works as a great build-up to the chorus because it’s so minimalistic but as the same time you really don’t need more to set the stage for what’s yet to come. The pre-chorus with this long long synth also works so well to hype the chorus upand oh my, I love the intrumental in the chorus. One of the prettiest 80s inspired choruses. This de do de do dee melody in a psychopath is chef’s kiss. I’m obsessed with it. I don’t know what they put in these few seconds, but it’s working so well on me. The only downside of this song is that because of the lyrics, it’s REALLY hard to hear in the actual song. Maybe that’s why I love it so much. It’s like a secret between people who listened to the clear instrumental. Like it’s there, but if you know and pay attention to it, you’ll hear it at least partially, but it’s a well-hidden gem. Then we have this complete stop and and the you maniac part and only after listening to the instrumental it clicked for me that Conan actually says ma-ni-ac in this part. Like this distorted sound in the chorus does say Ma-ni-ac some may say. That’s wild!! It took me weeks to notice and I only did because I thought huh the ma-ni-ac would kinda fit this instrumental and checked lyrics on Genius. But yeah going further, I really like that moment of silence at the beginningof the 2nd verse. I feel like after the post chorus, it was definitely needed to kinda cool of the emotions haha And then the beat comes back and it’s the same thing as before (why change somthing that’s perfect). The last thing is the brige which has both the bassline and synths and it sounds lovely with that very low synth and then we get drums?? Like this drum moment is so 80s I adore it! It’s simple, it’s stunning what more to wish for.

Now the vocals and lyrics are amazing as well. The whispered maniac at the begining was such a good move. Like for some reason it adds everything to this track and the into would be empty without it. Besides that Conan does nice layering with vocals with the song calls for it. One of his greatest strengths is how he can express his emotions through his voice and he spends this whole song taunting the past lover while also being kinda hurt by that on the inside and it sounds amazing. I could tell you that just by listening to his voice, I wouldn’t even need to understand the lyrics, and he always adds an extra attitude to make his songs more emotional. And another cool part of that is that quite often Conan tells a story in a song with plot twists and such (this one is a good example, but Fight of Flight is a great example), so we see his emotional reaction to the events we are told about. And I always get invested in the storyline as a bonus to an already great song. And one last thing, he often uses they or you while talking about love interests and other character in stories or makes the song so that it can be read as queer, which I find really cool.

bamboo ⇢ do you change into a different outfit when you get home?

Depends on the outfit, but unless I’m wearing something really fancy or uncomfortable, I don’t change outfits. I have some clothes that I consider inside clothes, but I don’t wear them unless I have nothing else to wear, because my outdoor clothes are already comfy and make me feel really confident, so changing into something else would take this atmosphere of being unstoppable from me haha

jasmine ⇢ do you have a movie or book you loved but will never watch/read again?

There were so many books that I loved as a child but grew out of and reading them again would only ruin the magic. There was this one book about dragons that I absolutely loved, but I don’t know the title and trying to find it would be too time-consuming. Sometimes I wish I remembered the title, but deep down I know I’d be disappointed if I read it now haha

“Hold My Hand” by Lady Gaga

a spacious reverb-soaked midtempo ballad with string vocals, booming drums, and of course, an electric guitar solo. The track also recalls ‘80s-era arena-pop and Gaga’s 2011 hit “The Edge of Glory” but certainly benefits from her aged and more controlled vocal skills that seemed to develop from the 2018 vocals of ‘Shallow’ and “Always remember us this way”. The rock-influenced anthem has Gaga belting well before she hits the chorus. It’s a song that demands vocal skill, strength and consistency but the songstress tackles it with ease.

Korea Singers Association President Asks BTS to Reconsider Breaking Up — “South Korea’s Tourism Industry Will Suffer”

The Korea Singers Association president has sent an open letter to BTS asking them to reconsider breaking up. Recently BTS made a statement about the future of the group suggesting that the participants might break off and pursue solo careers this comes after the release of the BTS album proof. The solar projects are reportedly set to be released via universal music group Geffen records. Meanwhile the stock has plummeted 25% after the announcement and the Korean singers association president ask them to reconsider citing that if BTS goes away there tourism will vanish hurting the popularity of South Korea has an Asian Hub for culture.

“What do you mean she has been calling you?”

James didn’t answer, he couldn’t look Y/N in the eyes. 

“That’s why you constantly get out of bed to answer the phone, isn’t it?” Y/N sunk into the armchair across from her boyfriend.

No matter how hard her mind tried to fight the thoughts in her mind she couldn’t. She couldn’t ignore the obvious signs of him slipping away from her. Going the whole week without talking. James excused himself to take random phone calls. The fake smiles and lies he told their friends. She was naive to think he was just going through a phase. Of course, he still loved Lily, they were the it couple in Hogwarts. No matter how hard she tried to ignore it, Y/N was always in Lily’s shadow. 

“You promised me she meant nothing to you anymore… Was everything you said to me a lie?”

“Y/N no- I meant what I said back then.”

“Back then… Do you mean it now?”

Her breathing became ragged as she overanalyzed all the times he held her. 

All the times he swung her around and kissed her softly. All the times he whispered sweet nothings in her ear from behind. Maybe it was all in her head. Maybe he was playing her from the very beginning but she wanted him so badly… His love blinded her. It was the type of love they watched in the movies, that should’ve been the first sign. No love should ever be that perfect to be real. Movies are fictional and exaggerated for attention, it’s not meant to be real. 

“Y/N. You did nothing wrong… It was all me.”

She threw him a sharp glare, “I know it was you! I knew it was you. I shouldn’t have turned a blind eye, I didn’t deserve that. I don’t deserve this…” She sighed loudly, emptying her lungs the best she could. “Maybe… Maybe it was love at first, but I can’t pretend that will ever come back. I’m not an idiot, James. We’re not in a movie, this isn’t the part where you try to explain yourself with some dumb excuse and I just fall in love all over again. This isn’t even the part where we agree to still be friends, do you know how hard that’ll be for me?”

James ran his hands through his hair in distress, “Do you know how hard it will be for me to lose you? Y/N, you’re everything to me!”

“Well you sure had a way of showing it, didn’t you?”

He watched her with tears and regret in his eyes. He knew what he did and he knew he shouldn’t have but he did it anyway. Even if he tried to explain himself… Any excuse he could think of was just pathetic.

She took a deep breath in through her nose as she unpacked the last box. “New place, fresh start.” Y/N knew they wouldn’t be able to save their movie type love. Not that she wanted to after all. She moved on rather quickly and part of her was upset over the fact. Just another sign that she didn’t feel as strongly for him as she thought she did. But no matter how angry she was with Jame Potter, she had to thank him for giving her a small moment of love that could only be found in movies.

Laughter echoed through the kitchen as James hummed, his arms around the giggling girl, swaying them back and forth. He spun her around every so offten and smiled when another peel of laughter fell from her lips. He slowed their swaying and placed his lips against her hairline. Her arms wrapped around his waist as he pulled her closer by her shoulders. “I love you.” His lips moved against her skin, lies being spoken directly to her head but she thought nothing of it. She only smiled softly and murmured back, “I love you.”
