Hi i’m on season 8 of my first time watching of supernatural and every purgatory flashback stabs me in the soul.

I’m on episode 5 and the destiel beautiful bullshit is killing me slowly and has left me screaming “BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU!!!” at my laptop screen like a woman pleading for her lover’s life to be spared.

Don’t get me wrong I love the biblical retellings of supernatural, but I wish they did other religious retellings thematically. Like imagine the Purgatory arc (boring) but Dean is searching for Castiel to bring him back to the lane of the living but doesn’t trust that Cas is still following him so he turns around and dooms him to stay à la Orpheus & Eurydice (exciting and actually tragic) instead of Cas just tossing his hand away to Brood™ about his sins.

JENSEN ACKLES ACTING APPRECIATION POST

Watching Supernatural for the first time and Season 8 Episode 7 when Cass comes back and Dean sees him everywhere and then he shows up in their motel has an incredible display of Jensen’s acting capabilities and oml

The voice Jensen uses when asking Cass how he got out is so…soft and painful and beautiful and sweet and it’s something I’ve never heard before and that specific scene needs to be talked about way more.
