Dune Awakening Class Guide: Swordmaster to Smuggler
youtube
Introduction: Picking the Right Class in Dune Awakening
Starting your journey in Dune Awakening means choosing a class that matches your style of play. Unlike other MMOs, the class you select here shapes more than just combat—it defines how you survive, fight, and grow in the harsh desert of Arrakis. This guide covers all five classes, their strengths, signature skills, and the type of players they suit best. And yes, while you can switch classes later on, your first choice will still define your early-game experience.
Swordmaster: Melee Expert and Frontline Leader
If close-range combat and fast-paced action sound like your thing, the Swordmaster might be your best bet. Trained in precision and agility, Swordmasters rely on skillful timing and quick reflexes instead of brute force or tech.
Starting Ability: Deflection – lets you block incoming projectiles and counter with a swift strike.
Playstyle: Great for aggressive players who love diving into battles and outmaneuvering enemies with fast dodges.
Strengths: High damage, fast mobility, excellent for solo and frontline play.
Advanced Skills: Unlock stamina-based combos, movement boosts, and elemental melee techniques later in the game.
Recommended for: Players who want fast, fluid combat and don’t mind a bit of a learning curve.
Bene Gesserit: Tactical Manipulator with Mind-Control Skills
The Bene Gesserit class is all about psychological warfare and subtle influence. These aren’t brawlers, but they can absolutely control the flow of a fight.
Starting Ability: Voice Compel – forces enemies to follow your verbal commands, like walking out of cover or into danger.
Playstyle: Ideal for those who prefer tactics and control over brute strength.
Strengths: Unique mind-control mechanics, great dodging, and excellent in duels or missions involving deception.
Advanced Skills: Unlock enhanced recognition, advanced dodges, and environmental resistances.
Recommended for: Players who enjoy manipulation, stealthy gameplay, and outsmarting their opponents.
Mentat: The Strategic Genius and Battlefield Support
Mentats are the brains of the battlefield. They process info faster than most computers and play more of a support or tactical role.
Starting Ability: Mark Weakness – highlights enemy vulnerabilities so they take more damage from all sources.
Playstyle: Support-focused but not helpless. These are the players who always know what’s coming next.
Strengths: Battlefield scanning, drone deployment, enemy tracking, and environmental prediction.
Advanced Skills: Tech-based support, hacking, surveillance, and even weather forecasting.
Recommended for: Strategic players who love planning ahead, analyzing combat, and giving their team the edge.
Fremen Survivalist: The Master of the Desert
For players who love exploration and survival, the Fremen Survivalist is unmatched. These desert dwellers are tuned into the terrain and thrive where others struggle.
Starting Ability: Sand Walk – lets you move quietly across the desert without drawing sandworms.
Playstyle: Balanced between survival, mobility, and long-range ambush tactics.
Strengths: Heat resistance, environmental adaptation, and terrain-based combat tricks.
Advanced Skills: Trap setting, desert creature summoning, terrain camouflage.
Recommended for: Players focused on open-world exploration, gathering, and living off the land.
Smuggler: The Independent All-Rounder
If freedom is what you’re after, the Smuggler lets you play your own way. They’re not tied to factions and offer a mix of stealth, ranged combat, and economic advantage.
Starting Ability: Smoke Screen – deploys cover that breaks line-of-sight for sneaky escapes or ambushes.
Playstyle: Flexible. Smugglers are ideal for solo play, trade, stealth, or sabotage.
Strengths: Trade routes, rare blueprints, black market access, and trap-based skills.
Advanced Skills: Black market dealings, vehicle mods, contraband runs, and infiltration.
Recommended for: Players who like sandbox freedom, want to profit from gameplay, or enjoy operating outside the rules.

Which Class Should You Choose First?
While you can eventually switch classes in Dune Awakening, your first pick really matters during early gameplay. Here's a cheat sheet to help:
Pick Swordmaster if you want to jump into the action and lead fights.
Choose Bene Gesserit if you prefer clever play and manipulating outcomes.
Go Mentat for support and battlefield control roles.
Try Fremen Survivalist if exploring and surviving in harsh zones appeals to you.
Select Smuggler for freedom, trade, and stealth-based versatility.
And yes—hybrid builds are possible later on. Mix and match skills from different paths to create your own playstyle. For example, a Swordmaster with desert movement from the Fremen path, or a Bene Gesserit who dabbles in smuggling tech.
Conclusion: Shape Your Destiny in Dune Awakening
The class system in Dune Awakening offers flexibility and depth. Whether you want to brawl on the frontlines, outwit your enemies, dominate the economy, or simply survive the sands, there’s a class that fits. Don’t stress too much—your starting class is just the beginning. The world of Arrakis rewards creativity and exploration, so dive in and start experimenting.
FAQs
Q1: Can you change your class in Dune Awakening? Yes, while your initial class affects early gameplay, you can switch classes later in the game by learning from mentors.

do you ship any league characters together? to you have any favourite ships/otps?
also are there any rarepairs you like or do you mostly vibe with the popular ships
I maintain that Lillia/Yone is actually kind of great, Kai'sa/Taliyah is a compelling dynamic especially for hurt/comfort vibes and healing, and... look, I just think Olaf/Soraka is a compelling dynamic if you assume Olaf has an actual personality and isn't just a "RAARR VIKING BERSERKER BLARGH" 2010s internet comedy trope.
youtube
Olaf's whole thing is he's obsessed with this very specific Destiny™ that he imagines for himself, and the world keeps dangling it just out of his reach. Odeipus-like, everything he does to reach the fate he desires pushes him further onto a path he hates and fears: survival.
And Soraka is the Star-child, seer and guide of mortal fates, the gentle hand who nudges a thread into the weave of fate when it's gone astray, or who quietly crosses it into a different weave when the fates are too cruel. Olaf badly needs someone to help him come to terms with his fate, or perhaps change it. And of course there's a natural dynamic in that Soraka's power is to heal with a gentle touch and Olaf's whole thing is charging headlong into as much pain and suffering as he can possibly find, in the hopes that some of it will finally kill him.
Soraka's healing is the single most fearful and terrifying weapon Olaf can imagine, a kind of cosmic horror almost, the very embodiment of the forces that keep denying him the glorious suicide he seeks. She has the power to force him to survive. Which, y'know, beyond the poetic resonance, there's a powerful kinky dom/sub dynamic there too, if you're of a mind to go look for it.
I think healdomming is already a thing in MMO RP spaces, actually? It's basically that, but with a sub who is actively, desperately, trying to die.

The funniest/most annoying thing about Destiny sweats bithcing about the game needing to be harder and that they shouldn't be forced to do self imposed challenges is:
Like literally no other gaming community is.like this. Self imposesd difficulty challenges is a tried & true & beloved asoect of many game communities.
From Pokemons Nuzlocke challenge, so many WoE, Runescape, and other MMOs, even notoriously hard games like FromSoftware projects to Cuphead and Celeste like
Those communities not only love self imposed difficulty but the ones that achieve it and master it are celebrated!
Like I'd be more impressed with Streamers choosing a stupid loadout and taking on a Raid and winning then some Career gamer having the most optimal load out
Yeah, literally. Same.
At the end of the day, no matter how much they want to deny it, these people just want to keep their place on the top and to retain their prestige and power. They want things nerfed because they have infinite time, professional gaming rigs and their pro buddies and it doesn't affect them. They don't want an even playing field and they don't want anyone else to have fun or get achievements. They mald over more people getting an emblem. Who give a shit. Grow up.
To me, Day 1 races are just completely off-putting to watch at this point. They all just mute streams, blur half of their screens and there's literally no content. To me, these events should be us watching the best players mess around, trying to figure out how to solve puzzles and entertain us while they go through content that's too hard for most other players. lt should be a light-hearted contest that's fun to watch. But no. Now it's just sweats basically streaming nothing while they read datamined guides and run full god roll meta loadouts that they later complain about making things easy.
Bro. That same loadout doesn't make the game easy for 99% of us. I'm glad you can do solo flawless Ghosts of the Deep in 40 minutes with bonk Titan, I can't. It took me three days and 60 deaths per run and a 3 hour run to just do the solo. I copied the "god roll" loadout. It didn't make shit easy. It doesn't need to be nerfed. And if that's easy to you, do it with a different loudout. It being "easy" literally only affects 50 people.
These guys would never survive playing any other game tbh. I guess Bungie should just give them difficulty options, but no special rewards for them, that would defeat the purpose. If you put a beautiful shader or adept weapon behind the hardest difficulty option, then people will want it and it will be deliberately gatekept and the gap between the pros and the rest of us will just widen. If you truly just care about the gameplay experience and experiencing super hard content, then simply experiencing that content is your reward. I've ran GMs for fun for zero rewards before because I just enjoy the challenge. I ran duo GMs for fun only. I've re-run master raids to help others despite there being nothing in it for me. Literally it's so easy to not be a babyman gamer bro. You guys play games for a living, you scored a jackpot, take your privilege and shut up.

How familiar are you with knights of the Old Republic by BioWare and Obsidian.
Back in the good old days of KOTOR 1 and 2, there was an implication that the main villain/Hero/Root cause of the game conflicts, Revan, turned to the dark side because he saw something in the outer rim of the galaxy. An empire of true Sith who would utterly crush the old republic and the Jedi one day and Revan turned to the dark side because he saw that militarizing the galaxy was the only way to survive the coming Sith onslaught. The implication was Kotor 3 was gonna be about finding these True Sith which terrified Revan and putting a stop to them with the True Sith being based off of the Shadows from babylon 5. Eventually, Kotor 3 became the Old Republic MMO and the True Sith turned out to basically be a Galactic Empire rip off with their own OP Gary Stue Palpatine rip off but that was obviously not what the True Sith where originally meant to be. The Lead Kotor writer heavily implied (IIRC) that they were trying to do a Galaxy scale equivalent of Malachor V based on all their talk about being based on the shadows from Babylon 5 and Kreia's talk of killing the force.
The True Sith in the original KOTOR III concept wanted to 'kill' The Force, silence the semi-sentient, pantheistic will forevermore, by turning every last planet in the Galaxy into a blood-drenched battlefield, a realm as traumatized as Malachor V. Bleeding the Force to its marrow by torturing the entire Galaxy to near-death. Since this concept was never acted upon, it's unclear if the end goal was to rule over the ashes, or simply leave the Galaxy in a state of perpetual war and suffering.
I would have made them eldritch abomination. Taking the red-skinned Sith Pureblood species as a baseline, then having them transfigured by the Dark Side over thousands of years into eldritch abominations. Acting as teachers and guides to others who would swear by the creed of "Power, at any cost."
A single True Sith might descend upon a world in the Outer Rim and be mistaken by the locals for a God. Every facet of their culture, religion, government and civil society would be bent and broken in the name of the Dark, a ruthless meritocracy where strength and cunning alone matter. When madness and utter selfishness has consumed a society in flames and internecine conflict, the Sith departs and starts again somewhere else.
Lower end of the spectrum, they'd be exceptionally powerful and mysterious dark side users appearing seemingly from nowhere, resembling a species thought to be extinct for millenia. Higher end of the spectrum they'd be godlike monsters, like Tenebrae or God-Emperor Sheev.
Considering they have thousands of years worth of unbroken knowledge and study with Sith Magic and Sith Alchemy I could see them being less like conventional Force users and more like Warhammer psykers in terms of Force bullshit they can do. Shit like detonating suns, moving moons with your mind and starting storms in hyperspace could all be within the ability of the higher-ups. I could also see the worlds of the true Sith being filled with Fabius Bile-esque abominations of flesh and bone given the special emphasis of the Sith on biological experimentation.
As for their aesthetic. I have been getting obsessed with Elden Ring lately so I think they should have a fromsoftware esque Dark Fantasy aesthetic. Ornate armour concealing… Something beneath their helmets, lightsabers wreathed in Eldritch darkness or even just regular blades and spears covered in dark side fire and lightning. Most of the underlings would still be vaguely humanoid but I see the higher ups being utterly insane in terms of appearance.
One thing to consider is that if these beings have been in the Unknown Regions/Extragalactic Void as far back as the time of Adas, embracing the Dark Side in all its forms and reveling in violence and destruction, there'd likely be … very few of them. A life devoted to the Star Wars equivalent of the Sword Logic is a lifetime of eternal winnowing, and after so many generations of constant competition and applying Sith Alchemy upon one's' own body, they'd be essentially unrecognizable.
And considering the emphasis of the Sith on embracing one's inner desires and transcending all limitations through acquiring power, how each True Sith appears and behaves would depend on the Sith Power in question. One might be a biomechanical horror, obsessed with pushing their physical form past all extremities of pain and euphoria, another might be a desiccated husk, allowing his body to wither away to focus on honing his mind into a weapon of mass destruction. This Empire would function a lot like the Hive, with lesser members tithing upwards to their superiors and so on, and the higher up you are in the chain the more freedom you have to modify the bodies and minds of yourself and your subordinates. There's be a veritable pantheon of a highly select number of Sith Lords that have essentially turned themselves into inhuman monsters over millenia, with Adas hovering somewhere above.

[ 🌎 ] are there any aus you have for your muse? what are they like, and how is your muse different in them?
PROMPTS I’D LIKE TO RECEIVE, PART 1.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only AU I had for Alexander was a very light AU based off the Wreck it Ralph world even after he was long turned into an OC and no longer a twisted version of King Candy Cybug. He was just more or less a trapped beast in the part of Sugar Rush nobody could see, he lurked there often, devouring or trying to devour anyone who went out of bounds. He was a post KCB that survived diet cola mountain somehow and healed up eventually living out the rest of his days as an abomination that had no control over his cybug instincts to eat and kill, what should of been to multiply. But I was not interested in that aspect. As the years went by my king candy was called Lurker and he more or less just did that so he was not just King Candy. He gradually became more draconic, and about ten years ago I made him into what he is now and very far removed from the Wreck it Ralph space.
When I returned to tumblr in 2022 I tried to set him up as him being a major world boss in an MMO called 'Of Knights and Knightmares' and he was fucking asshole boss that would make you rage quite, it was like an MMO soul-like and Cromwell was a tutorial guide character. Outside his duties in the game he lived like he does now, only with a few tweaks, he as very viral, so he was able to game jump and hide this fact that he was a virus. I'm really not engaging with this AU anymore, and just doing my own thing now.

I'm a big proponent of weird Sith stuff. Sith as Cenobites, do it you cowards. Sith initiation as limit experiences. Give them body modifications and mortification. Make them alien and totally philosophically misaligned with the Jedi, not just a breakaway sect. Have them be hiding out in the chaos just doing weird evil Sith shit.

if anyone here is a fan of artsy TTRPGs and/or Odd trans books a fav dev of mine is doing a big sale to fund her laser hair removal (link is to full bundle but you can get anything individually)
i can personally vouch for multiple of these and am going to now
Songbirds 3e: is, has, and always will be free so why haven't you checked it out yet bc omg????
.dungeon//remastered: a lot of TTRPGs have tried to replicate the experience of playing an mmo-type video game and maybe someone of them are more mechanically closer to that, but .dungeon gets the vibes. it gets what it feels like to play an online game w friends. reading it makes me nostalgic for an alt-reality internet that feels real. this game has received accolades for a reason ok
My Body is a Cage: haven't gone thru this one as much as the others but i wanna say holy shit that layout. game premise tho is you're normal ppl trying to survive your normal lives and one day you start dreaming of a dungeon. all the loot you get dungeon crawling? you wake up w irl. you also wake up (or don't) w all the horrific injuries and traumas inflicted by dungeon crawling
Lilancholy: god damn i need to get a physical copy. is a collection of rules for playing school yard games but also a warning/survival guide to any children who might be reading on how to ""safely"" deal w fairies, which are real and do want to eat you, and no, the adults don't care. massively blurs the lines between "work of fantasy/horror fiction", "game you can play", and "semi-bibliographical" idk man it's a trip. being a child is scary and horrifying actually, and i'm glad Snow is one of the ppl working to get that message out there
Endsville: An Unorthodox Setting Guide: vibes are off the charts, man. a game setting(??) written in the style of a found artifact. everyone goes to Endsville when they dream. i hope our houses are close to each other :]

Embers Adrift: A Unique Fantasy MMO Experience
Tumblr media
Embers Adrift the unique fantasy PvE MMO game launches on Steam for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative minds at Stormhaven Studios, this release bursts with passion, depth, and old-school magic. Which you can now find on Steam with Positive reviews. Alright, fellow adventurers – ready to dive into something real? Not another cookie-cutter MMO packed with pay-to-win nonsense and flashy fluff, but a gritty, immersive world that respects your time, challenges your mind, and rewards your grit? Buckle up, because Embers Adrift is here, and it's bringing the soul of old-school MMORPGs back with a vengeance. Developed by the passionate team at Stormhaven Studios, Embers Adrift isn’t just another fantasy MMO – it’s a call to arms for gamers who crave deep PvE gameplay, meaningful exploration, and a world that actually feels alive. The best part? This gem plays great on Linux – it’s already getting notice among the open-source gaming crowd. Let’s talk about what makes it sing. First off – no cash shops, no microtransactions, no loot boxes, no NFTs, no weird monetization at all. Just pure, honest gaming. Buy it once, and you’re in. If you like it and want to support the devs even more, there’s an optional subscription that unlocks extra in-game perks – but no pressure. Everyone gets access to the full game world regardless. The world of Embers Adrift is wild, weird, and full of wonder. With vast overland zones, sprawling dungeons (including rare dynamic ones that pop up for a limited time), and underground labyrinths with real escape routes, there’s always something new to uncover. And the lore? Deep, mysterious, and designed to unfold with every step you take.
Embers Adrift Launch Trailer
youtube
The Embers Adrift combat is strategic tab-targeting with a twist – defensive and offensive targeting adds layers of skill, especially in group play. Whether you're soloing, running tight-knit three-person squads, or diving into full 6-player dungeons (or even 24-player raids), the action keeps you thinking. And yes, there’s crowd control. A rare breed these days! At level 6, you choose from 9 specializations branching from 3 base roles. Add a rich crafting system with 3 gathering paths and 6 professions, and you’ve got a reason to go full artisan if that's your vibe. You can even imbue crafted gear with Ember magic to take it to the next level. Speaking of gear – this title’s got style. Asymmetrical armor slots (two bracers, single-shoulder looks, etc.) let you stand out from the crowd. Want to look like a wild rogue who’s seen too much? You can. Light matters, too. Since night isn’t just for screenshots – mobs behave differently, and your torches might just save your life. Drop a beacon in the dark to guide your crew through the danger. Oh, and death in Embers Adrift? It's got bite – but not in a way that punishes you with lost XP. Think of it as a chance to regroup and rethink. There's even a special in-game currency called bloops (yep, bloops) awarded by GMs during surprise live events. Spend ‘em in the City for exclusive titles, emotes, and brag-worthy flair.
Fast Travel
And yes – there’s fast travel. You’ll still need to earn your way through the wilds, but the game respects your time. The soundtrack? Each region has its own music, with dynamic tracks that also shift based on what you’re doing – fighting, exploring, surviving. It’s like the world sings with you. Whether you’re a lone wolf, a dungeon delver, a raid leader, or just someone who misses the days when MMOs made you feel something, Embers Adrift delivers. It’s challenging, heartfelt, and built by a team that actually listens – really listens – to its players. Ready to answer the call? Grab your copy, and step into a world where danger lurks, mysteries wait, and glory belongs to those who earn it. So join the forums or hop into Discord – the community’s already there, torches lit, waiting to welcome you. Welcome to Embers Adrift. Let’s make some memories in this fantasy PvE MMO. Which you can now find on Steam for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Priced at $29.99 USD / £24.99 / 28,99€.

Secrets of Gold Farming in WoW Classic: Mankrik Server Edition
World of Warcraft Classic, often abbreviated as WoW Classic, brings players back to the essence of the original MMO experience. Mankrik, as one of the servers in the Classic Era, fosters a distinct economy where gold remains a crucial resource for survival and progress. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, unlocking crafting opportunities, or gearing up for raids, gold management on Mankrik can significantly shape your gameplay. This guide delves into strategies and insights to optimize your in-game wealth. To get more news about buy wow classic Mankrik era gold, you can visit lootwowgold.com official website.
Gold Farming Basics Gold farming is fundamental to thriving in WoW Classic. Mankrik offers several lucrative opportunities for players to earn gold through grinding mobs, gathering resources, and completing quests. Efficient farming spots include zones like Stranglethorn Vale, where mobs drop valuable loot and crafting materials. Certain instances, like Blackrock Depths, provide the chance for players to grind mobs that drop higher-value items.
For gatherers, herbs and mining nodes are abundant across Azeroth, especially in regions such as Eastern Plaguelands. Players can focus on gathering high-demand resources such as Thorium or Black Lotus, which fetch premium prices on the Auction House.
Auction House Dynamics The Auction House is the backbone of the Mankrik economy, where players can sell crafted items, gathered materials, or rare drops. Understanding market trends is essential—prices for items fluctuate based on demand and availability. Monitoring peak hours and strategically timing your auctions can maximize profits.
Crafting professions like Alchemy or Enchanting can also provide sustainable income streams. Selling consumables such as flasks or weapon enchantments is particularly lucrative, given their necessity in raid preparation.
Smart Spending While earning gold is crucial, spending wisely ensures its longevity. Resist the urge to splurge on non-essential items or upgrades unless they contribute significantly to your gameplay. For instance, investing in your mount early can enhance farming efficiency, enabling you to reap greater rewards in the long term.
Player-to-Player Trading Beyond the Auction House, direct trades with other players can often yield better deals, bypassing auction fees. Networking within guilds or communities on Mankrik can unlock opportunities to barter items or acquire essential gear at discounted rates.
Events and Rare Opportunities Seasonal events or specific server-wide activities sometimes provide unique chances to earn gold or acquire valuable items. Staying informed and participating actively in these events can be a game-changer for your economy.
Mastering gold strategies on Mankrik not only enhances your gameplay but also makes the in-game experience deeply rewarding. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the realm, thoughtful resource management ensures your journey through Azeroth is as rich and enjoyable as possible.

If you're diving into Chrono Odyssey and craving a melee powerhouse that can eat hits, crush bosses, and still walk away with half a health bar, you're in the right place. This Berserker tank build is your ticket to face-to-face, non-stop action with some of the best survivability the game has to offer.
This guide walks you through everything from leveling to gear, skills, combat flow, and playstyle strategies. It's designed for players hitting level 15, where the real options for builds start to open up. Let’s turn you into the raid-soloing menace you were meant to be.
Getting to Level 15 Fast
Before diving into the core of this build, you need to reach level 15, where most of your skills and gear options become available. The best method? Daily bounties. They're straightforward, give solid experience, and also hand you useful materials you'll need later.
Don’t sweat your gear during this leveling phase—focus on speed and material farming. Once you hit 15, you can start putting together the real deal.
Best Ways to Farm Materials and Gold
Building this beast of a Berserker requires crafting. Materials like red trees, titanium, and advanced ary are essential, and you'll find a hotspot for them in specific regions—usually marked in red zones or areas with higher mob densities.
You’ll also pick up plenty of gold along the way, especially if you’re knocking out quests and events. Gold is useful for either buying gear directly from the trader or crafting it at the station. Both are valid, depending on your pace.
Pro tip: Spend your gold freely during the beta—there’s no reason to hoard it.
Crafting the Right Gear
You want armor with maximum physical defense. That’s your top priority. Damage comes naturally with this build, but survivability is what makes it shine in boss fights.
As for weapons? Anything with a high equipment score will work fine. You're not looking for specific traits at this stage—just pure stats.
Don't overthink your early build choices here. The right setup comes together fast once you’re farming bosses and picking up rewards regularly.
Core Skills You’ll Need
The magic of this build lies in its simplicity and efficiency. You’ll cycle between two weapon stances and rely on a handful of high-impact skills. Here’s the key combo:
Sweeping Slash I & II – This is your core attack skill. It hits in a wide arc and generates Bloodthirst, which boosts both your attack power and HP regeneration. Use this constantly. It’s a major damage dealer and rage generator.
Surging Force (Special Ability) – When you pop this, you gain Rage and heal yourself. It also activates two critical passives: Lingering Power and Seething Blood, which keep your damage and sustain going longer.
That’s your offensive foundation. It sets the tone for the rest of your rotation.
Key Passives That Make It Work
Your passives take this from a decent build to a top-tier one. Here’s what you want:
Ruthless – When you max out Bloodthirst, your crit damage increases by 30%. That means Sweeping Slash goes from strong to devastating.
Scrapper – Basic attacks get a flat damage boost. This is important because you’ll weave them between your main skills to keep uptime and Rage flowing.
Tenacity – This one activates automatically when your health drops low. It grants a shield, giving you time to recover and go full tank mode. Perfect for staying alive while spinning through the danger zone.
These passives let you push harder into fights without needing constant heals or support.
How to Use Rage and the Battle Axe
Once your Rage is filled from Sweeping Slash and your special, it’s time to switch to your Battle Axe. This is where things get brutal.
Use the Whirlwind ability in this stance. It turns you into a literal spinning blade of destruction. Against bosses, this melts health bars quickly—especially when timed after your full Bloodthirst and Rage setup.
Stay mobile while spinning, and if you get low, Tenacity kicks in to keep you from dropping.
This part of your kit is what makes the build feel like the melee equivalent of a wrecking ball.
Combat Flow and Skill Rotation
Here’s a typical fight setup using this build:
Start with a few basic attacks to engage and build initial Rage.
Use Sweeping Slash I & II to generate Bloodthirst.
Weave in more basic attacks to keep up pressure.
Activate Surging Force when your health dips or you need to boost Rage.
Once Rage is full, switch to Battle Axe and let loose with Whirlwind.
Rinse and repeat. It’s fast, effective, and doesn’t leave much downtime. Bosses rarely last long if you keep up this flow.
Survivability in Boss Fights
What makes this build so reliable is how tanky you are without giving up damage.
With high physical defense armor and automatic healing from Bloodthirst, you’ll find yourself outlasting most other melee classes in close-quarters fights. Add Tenacity’s shield and constant Rage-fueled healing, and you’re hard to bring down.
This means you can solo most bosses or survive while others regroup. You’re the frontline—and you stay there.
Gear Upgrades and Final Tips
As you progress, keep your eye out for gear with higher equipment scores and passive bonuses. Prioritize defense over everything, and don’t forget to swap out weaker gear even if it has minor perks.
The trader refreshes stock often, so check back after each boss run or bounty streak. Also, consider crafting upgrades when you’ve got spare titanium and ary lying around.
This build isn’t static—you’ll refine it as you go, especially once the full game launches.
Wrapping Up: Why This Build Works So Well
This Berserker setup doesn’t rely on tricky mechanics, timing windows, or party coordination. It’s a straight-up tank-damage hybrid, which is exactly what makes it fun. You dive in, stack up Rage, heal off your hits, and just refuse to go down.
It’s also low-maintenance. You only need to manage a handful of skills and passives to make it work. That means more time focusing on fights, fewer moments fumbling through ability menus mid-combat.
Whether you're farming bosses, helping out your squad, or just soloing content during the Chrono Odyssey beta, this build holds up incredibly well and is easy to master quickly.
So gear up, grab your axe, and get spinning. Berserker life starts now.
Conclusion: Built to Last, Built to Win
This Chrono Odyssey Berserker tank build gives you a powerful mix of defense, healing, and raw damage. It's easy to use, scales well, and doesn't rely on complex mechanics. Whether you're tackling solo content or tanking for a group, this setup has you covered.
Once you hit level 15, gather the materials, equip the right passives, and start stacking Bloodthirst and Rage. You’ll quickly find yourself dominating bosses and breezing through encounters that stop other classes in their tracks.
Perfect for the beta or the full release, this build turns your Berserker into a reliable frontliner and a boss-melting machine.

The Vision Behind Age of Frostfall 🌍
Warmest Good Limited saw Age of Frostfall as something much larger than a game: an environment in which users can escape to. It is fun and rewarding because the player can see that their every decision matters when playing the game. 2. Tactical Combat and Dragons ⚔️🐉 In Age of Frostfall, you are commanding your troops against the dreadful Unmelted and employing dragons to defeat them. It also lends credence to the notion that this gaming ecosystem will also be healthy and continuously developing since the administrators remain dedicated to enhancing the gaming experience based on user input. Furthermore, a lot of the updates that have occurred in the game in the past few months – be they balance changes or new units – came from the fans themselves. SWTOR.
So. About that news about SWTOR, that it is slated to be transferred to another company - yeah. Let's chat about that. Or I will.  TL:DR version: The licensing agreement for SWTOR was set to expire this year. My own hypothesis is that the Mouse did not renew it and pulled the license from Bioware because they did fuckall with it. Also Bioware has been fumbling a lot of their other games. So this isn't quite a sunny transfer.
Tumblr media
My final screenshot of Viri and Lana at home in Naboo (headcanon for the Alderaan stronghold), February 2022, just before uninstalling SWTOR. One thing I have not seen mentioned is the fact that SWTOR's licensing agreement with the Mouse was scheduled to end this year anyway. 2023. It's been said for some time. Is it really a surprise the Mouse would not want things to go on as they are?
Given the near complete lack of attention and care that has been paid to SWTOR for a good five or six years now, I can fully understand why the Mouse would not renew the licensing agreement. Onslaught and Ossus looked as though a fair amount of development money had been poured into them - Ossus, Onderon and Mek-Sha had the same sort of acheivements and datacron hunts you found on the OG planets - but they were bright spots in a very bleak period.
The amount of content released in a single patch of some other MMOs is more than the collective total of what was released for SWTOR in years.
The story was haphazard. The companion reunions had no continuity, with some characters not even recognizing NPCs they'd actually worked with before (Nadia Grell and Jaesa Willsaam not recognizing Lana, for instance) or behaving completely out of character (Risha being completely indifferent about the fate of her planet, for instance). The writers killed off almost every character that moved and pulled a "somehow, the Emperor survived" stunt (not with the Emperor). The head writer did not even know a timeline for the story and had to talk it out on the message board.
The devs tried hard to shove everyone into PvP (both ground and space) and Ops, while alienating other types of players, and made story content ridiculous. Known game-breaking bugs remained in the game for years.
There's been a lot of turnover in the dev team and numerous reports about management completely ignoring feedback from devs. A few devs were witnessed mocking players on dudebro discords, and the changes they made seemed to benefit a select group of players. A few message board posters were plants trying to deliberately provoke players into inflammatory exchanges or white knighting any and message critical of the devs. Or that criticism was removed outright.
Players who had invested a substantial amount of time and money into SWTOR and put a lot of effort into developing player guides and fan sites said "fuck this" and walked. The Steam charts show playership of about 3000K players per day. People stopped going to the test server because it became painfully obvious that the devs were completely ignoring most feedback. Problems and bugs test players pointed out made their way into the released patches anyway.
Meanwhile the staff of SWTOR was getting poached for Anthem and Dragon Age. Anthem failed. Battlefront II went into maintenance after only two years. The next installments of Dragon Age and Mass Effect were proving to be complete clusterfucks.
Is there really any reason the Mouse would have wanted to keep the license with Bioware?
I do think this is a way to get SWTOR into a safe place - away from Bioware - but given the profile of the new company, I doubt it means we're going to see a Renaissance. I think it means the game is going to have a safe place to continue in maintenance mode. That's how it is with two other MMOs they have. The number of devs, as someone pointed out, is going to be 50% of what SWTOR has now.
I do think they will keep it in maintenance mode as long as they can; as long as enough people keep subscribing to make that profitable. But I do think overall, this is it for SWTOR.
I have not played SWTOR in a year and a half. I uninstalled it on the day 7.0 came out. My characters are all parked in their favorite strongholds with their favorite companions. I headcanon the game itself cut from Ossus directly to Echoes, with the scene at the end of Echoes, with Lana and the PC literally flying off into the stars being the end of the story. I feel it's better that way. Given all that was happening with SWTOR I feel like this was inevitable, too.  All the same, given the positives that SWTOR had - some of the gameplay and class stories, the rich lore, the planets, some of the characters - it leaves me bitterly angry and disappointed by the outcome. It's such a waste. An absolute waste of talent and time and people who were so totally invested in the success of this game. At the end, that's all there is.
Farewell, SWTOR.
