₊˚⊹。 keep this drive to just us two | fushiguro megumi
Tumblr media
wc: 2.7k
summary: megumi is a liar, but there’s a reason for all this.
contains: f!reader in mind but can be read as gn!, college!megumi, pre-relationship stuff, feelings, some swear words
a/n: happy birthday to our boy ♡ set in the same universe as this megumi fic (so a ~kind of part 2); some songs that inspired this & ones i imagine playing in the car: the shining by the neighbourhood, paradise by chase atlantic, & over the moon by the marías
part: 1 | 2 | 3 series m.list: by your passenger seat
Tumblr media
It’s just you and Megumi on a late night drive—a quarter past 11 p.m.
The passenger seat has long since been adjusted to you, his car a somewhat second home. There’s that characteristic reverb accompanying the deep bass of the music he listens to, and his knee is bobbing to the beat of it, like it always does when the music is good.
Megumi’s car always smells of mint, a fresh, crisp scent that cuts through—an accurate depiction of the man: level-headed, cool. A sharp honesty exists in every word he speaks; it’s the only way he knows how to be.
Except, maybe, lately. Like this moment.
Megumi’s a liar right now.
He feels a little guilty for it, tricking you into coming out tonight. But how bad can it be to invite you under the guise of it being from Yuuji?
“Yuuji said he’ll meet us there?” you settle into your seat, dragging the seatbelt across your body before locking it into place.
Megumi shifts the gear to drive, nodding as he turns the wheel to get out of the parking lane. He can’t trust himself to speak.
The ride is quiet save for the music, a comfortable silence he seems to only have with you. Nobara and Yuuji like to talk, to fill in the empty pockets of air he never feels the need to. You—you adjust, read the room; you become what the situation calls for all on your own.
That’s what he likes about you, among many other things—he’s stopped lying to himself about that, at least.
The streets whiz past you in a blur, both vaguely familiar and unrecognizable. There’s a fast food joint your group of four frequents as a post-party drive-thru, and the holiday lights are strung up on lampposts lining the sidewalks.
Yellows, reds, and greens melt into one another as the backdrop of your window. But all Megumi sees is gray—
When he dislodges his phone from the stand clipped to the AC vents at the center console, handing it over so you can control the music. His eyes stay locked on the road until he feels it, the slightest brush of your fingers against his.
He turns to you, a quick glance; you’d shrugged off your puffer jacket some time during the drive and tossed it to the backseat, leaving you in this right now.
—the gray sweater that he knows all too well; that you haven’t returned but you wear like it’s yours, as if this piece of him is something you’ve chosen to keep.
It looks better on you, anyway, he thinks.
He turns back to the road, breathing a little quicker, grip tighter and knuckles a bit whiter.
If he listens carefully, the comfortable silence between you hasn’t actually been all that silent lately. A constant beat’s been drumming in his ears, exacerbated only every time you’re near. You’ve locked eyes far too often for two people sitting in a car, driving from point A to point B, and this isn’t the first time your fingers have brushed, nor is it the second, or third (or even fourth if he’s thinking about the technicalities).
He finds himself smiling too easily when you speak, the corners of his lips aching by the time he’s dropped you off on the way home. You’ve looked at him fondly too, a handful of times, when you think he won’t notice; but it’s impossible not to when he’s paying just as much attention—from the corner of his eye, in his periphery. A responsible side-glance that inconspicuously catches everything.
There’s something between you two, and he’s grown more confident of that the more he’s accepted his fate:
He likes you.
It’s why he called you tonight, out of all nights, in the first place.
Aimless driving can only be so convincing up to a certain point, and that point comes fast approaching as Megumi is about to pass the same street for the third time. You don’t notice because you’re queueing songs on his phone, but he has to think of a diversion—just something to tide him over past midnight.
“I’ll get us some snacks,” he signals to the left, pulling over to a 7-Eleven.
“Oh!” you look up from his phone, swapping it for yours, “I’ll ask Yuuji if he wants anything. Did he mention if Nobara’s coming?”
Megumi freezes, panic setting in—if you message Yuuji now, you’ll realize that he’s been lying. He holds his breath, shifting the gear to park before pulling at the edges of his sleeves.
Think.
“He’ll eat anything, it’s fine. Nobara probably won’t come too. Wouldn’t pick up when he called.”
For someone who always puts things bluntly, he’s surprisingly good at coming up with lies right now.
You hum, nodding, “Okay. Do you want me to go down?”
“I’ll be quick,” he shakes his head, fishing around the center console for his wallet, “you want anything?”
Then he looks at you, your head tilted to the side as you think. A little pout causes your lips to jut out and he can’t help it, how his eyes fall to them, shiny in the way only your lip balm can make them.
“Maybe something warm?”
Your voice snaps him out of it, but the moment is frozen—like he’s been caught red-handed. He’s so sure you saw him staring, your eyebrows shooting up, flustered while watching his gaze shift from your lips to your eyes.
He doesn’t expect it when you do the same thing.
It’s freezing outside and his lips feel chapped; he wonders if they’re cracked, if you’re studying the grooves of split skin—if he should buy lip balm by the counter, on the way out.
He looks away, clearing his throat, one hand to the door handle.
“Okay,” he opens it, “turn up the heat if you’re–”
You nod.
“Yeah, okay.”
He steps out.
The cold is biting as he tucks his hands inside his pockets, rushing to get into the convenience store.
(You watch his back retreat from the window of his carseat, and the influx of cool air should make you shiver, but you feel warm, heat rushing to your cheeks.
This whole night has been confusing; the subtle touches and lingering gazes—ones like just moments ago, especially. Being alone with Megumi lately has been both comfortable and nerve-wracking; you have feelings that you aren’t quite sure are reciprocated, no matter how much Nobara teases the both of you already.
You can’t take it; you need a buffer—where is Yuuji?
11:41 p.m.
< are you otw already? we just went to grab some snacks
You wait, fingers tapping on the back of your phone.
11:42 p.m.
yuuji 🍡
> huh?
> otw where?
> who’s we?
> i’m outside fushiguro’s rn! with gojo-sensei!! apparently he surprises him every bday…
> you should come! you live near right?
You scrunch your eyebrows, confused. There are too many thoughts in your head right now—has Megumi been lying?
11:43 p.m.
< oh ok, i probs misunderstood!!
< and i’m out tonight, idt i can make it but lmk how it goes!!
You’ve never known Megumi to be a liar, but he’s definitely in it right now for some questioning.)
The 7-Eleven doors swing open, revealing Megumi with his shoulders shrugged up to his ears, hands deep inside his pockets as a plastic bag hangs around his wrist. He opens the car door, immediately settling in his seat before shutting it.
He still won’t meet your eyes, fishing through the random snacks he bought instead. It’s awkward, the air in the car tense; and it takes the biggest guts in him to look up as he hands over the warm bottle of tea he got you, just like you wanted.
It’s even worse when you’re staring right back, expecting—almost like you’re about to confront him.
“Be honest,” you start, eyes squinting.
Shit. Sweat forms at his palms as he blinks, the beat drumming in his ears intensifying.
“Did you bring me out here to murder me?”
He raises an eyebrow, expecting you to convict him for lying, “The fu–”
Which you do, bringing your phone up so he can read. Your text chain with Yuuji casts a white light over his face, his eyes darting from side-to-side as he scans each message.
(You aren’t mad or anything, just even more confused than you already are; some clarity would be nice, once and for all.
Embarrassment is painted on his face the more he reads through your phone screen, lashes entirely too long as it bats against the tip of his cheeks; a faint pink blooms on his skin, like winter peonies.)
There’s a reason for all this.
He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath; he’s dreading having to open them—do you think he’s weird now? That he had some ulterior motive bringing you out? His jaw clenches at the thought—
But then you laugh, a soft chuckle that accompanies the ‘click’ of your phone turning off. And when he takes a peek, squints one eye to catch a glimpse, you’re smiling; your lips are pressed together with the corners curled up slightly, as if you find this entire thing funny.
The tension dissipates, but he frowns, eyebrows scrunching as he considers whether he wants to be the reason for whatever it is you’re thinking.
“Stop it. Don’t make fun of me.” his head turns to the side.
You chuckle again, biting your bottom lip, “You’re just too cute.”
A beat.
(It slips out before you can catch yourself, heat rising to your cheeks. Megumi isn’t doing any better; his ears are flushed red, crawling down to the sides of his neck as he swallows.)
The plastic bag crinkles on his lap, cutting through the silence.
How can you just… say that?
You clear your throat, “So, uh, did you know about the surprise?”
(Your eyes shift to the corner of the infotainment system, 11:52 p.m. in white.)
He sighs, running a hand through his hair as he leans back on his seat.
“Gojo-sensei tries to surprise me every year, I didn’t think he’d call Itadori this time.”
“You sound like that’s a bad thing…” you tilt your head, curious.
He pauses, staring ahead as he considers his response, “Not bad… just,” his fingers fiddle with the plastic bag, “too loud, sometimes.”
(Megumi’s mentioned a bit about this ‘Gojo-sensei’ guy, his kind-of-mentor slash benefactor since being orphaned with his step-sister at age 6. You’ve never met him, but Yuuji never stops talking about how fun he is, how cool.
It makes sense why Megumi finds him a bit much, if anything.)
“And you think I’m any better?” you snort offhandedly, joking as you turn to the side, facing him.
He tilts his head towards you, leaning back on the headrest; your eyes lock for a moment, the corner of his mouth lifting subtly before he looks away, straight ahead again.
If he had the courage, he’d tell you that you’re the only company he wants to spend this birthday with—
That there are songs in his playlist he’d otherwise never listen to, but repeats and repeats and repeats because it reminds him of you;
That he looks forward to doing deep cleans on his car every weekend, but has started to dread it once he noticed that it washes away your scent from the Fridays that he drops you home;
That he’s a liar because he really likes you, but can’t find the words to tell you.
So he doesn’t say anything, shrugging.
The silence is telling.
(You feel too warm, whether from the heating system or from the implications of this moment. The 11:58 p.m. on the clock adds a pressure that it shouldn’t, an almost taunting presence that tells you if you act now, tomorrow could be very different.
Are you reading the signs right?
Should you just say it?
Each second drags on twice as long, and you think—
Fuck it.)
“Megumi?” your voice breaks through softly.
The plastic crinkles on his lap as he turns to you.
He could be any other place right now.
But he’s chosen to be here, with you, parked outside a 7-Eleven, minutes before midnight.
“If I tell you something, will you be honest with me?”
He blinks before humming, nodding. This is the least he can do after today’s blatant lying.
There’s an intensity to your gaze that makes him nervous; your fingers tug at the edges of his (your) gray sweater, a piece of him you’ve taken with you. Then you speak—
“I like you,” you say it plainly, unblinking, “and I need you to tell me if you don’t feel the same.”
—and you take the rest of him too.
12:01 a.m.
He stares at you, turning the confession over and over in his head. He’s always had a feeling but it’s different when it’s out in the open, when it’s from you and isn’t based on some gut-feeling.
There are so many things he can say, but you did ask him to be honest—to tell you if he didn’t feel the same.
“Do I stay quiet if I do?” he mumbles, cheeks deepening into red.
There’s a smile he’s trying to hide, one he won’t allow himself to let out until he gets one from you too.
You visibly relax, releasing the breath you were holding. Your lips curl up instinctively, wide and infectious—that feeling of your heart bursting.
“Smartass,” you scrunch your nose before glancing at the time, “happy birthday.”
When you look at him this fondly, there’s not much else he can ask for, really.
.
You eat the snacks in his car (an exception—whether it’s because of you or his birthday, you’re not sure) and tell him that your actual gift is back home, sitting in dog-patterned wrapping paper by your entryway.
The drive back is, for the most part, the same—lingering gazes when the stoplight permits, a brush of your fingers when you hand him his phone after queueing songs. You’re wearing his sweater and his car still smells like mint.
But you both can’t stop smiling.
And when he drops you off, he’s tempted to tell you to stay longer for just one more song, but he figures there’s lots of time for that now. So instead, he grabs your puffer from the back, gets down and rushes over to open your door, helping you out.
He holds up your jacket as you slip your arms into it, zipping it up so you stay warm and toasty. Cute, he thinks, when your grin reaches your cheeks; he could pinch them, would you complain if his fingers are too chilly?
Your hesitance is evident in the way you bite your lip, but you go for it anyway, diving in to land a soft kiss to his cheek. It happens so quickly, it barely registers to him—the touch of your lips to his skin. When you pull away, you look shy.
He doesn’t say anything, heat rushing to the place you’d kissed. You take this as a sign to go ahead, so you move, but he can’t—
—can’t let you go just like this.
Not when he’s been thinking about those lips since he last laid his eyes on it.
It’s reflex, the way he grabs your wrist, pulling you back to him. He lets go immediately, hovering, but his eyes drop dangerously, down to your lips—shiny and plump from the lip balm he knows you carry.
His breathing quickens and he asks so softly, “Can…”, he gulps, nervous, “Can I?”
You nod, humming.
(When Megumi leans in, long lashes fluttering over your eyelids, you think, this can’t possibly be real. But then his lips slide over yours, cold but not cracked, and you move yours against them, gentle in the same way he is.
His fingers slot themselves at the edge of your jaw, palm pressed to your cheek; it makes you shiver, how cool it is, but it warms up quickly.)
The kiss is over far too soon (you think so, too), and when you part, you’re beaming, a twinkle in your eyes that makes him want to kiss you again, if only to keep them shining the way they do.
It’s the end of the night, but the beginning of something new and Megumi’d be lying if he said he didn’t like the noise; this constant beat drumming in his ear is all he can hear now, swiping his tongue over his lips to taste mint—your lip balm of choice.

a glimpse at some soon-to-come Hashira interaction and a wee predicament in Compass
CW: slight reference to/implied roofie-ing • protective Sanemi • violently protective Sanemi • bad boy/gang AU • slight mention of throwing up
Tumblr media
“Y/N?” Sanemi catches you right as you stumble once more. He brings you in against him, keeping you upright with his body as your knees give way.
“Y/N. Hey, hey.” He lightly slaps your cheek, cool and clammy under his touch.
Your eyes have rolled back and you’re muttering and moaning incoherently under your breath, but you manage a single, whimpered “Sanemi.”
“I’m here, I’m here, baby’. I’ve got you.” Sanemi loops your arm around his shoulders, allowing you to fully sink into his side. His other arm anchors itself around your waist. “What happened? Did you drink something?”
You mumble again, your head rolling heavily into his shoulder.
Tumblr media
He sidesteps with Iguro, blocking him while keeping you in his arms.
“The diner on 12th street. Tomorrow night. Seven.”
And Sanemi knows, by the way his fellow Hashira’s eyes widen — marginally so — that he’s struck a chord.
Good, Sanemi thinks. Let him know that he has leverage of his own; an ace in his back pocket, should Iguro decide to test the limits of his patience.
His raven haired companion only responds with a tight nod that Sanemi returns before he turns toward your apartment building, and carries you inside.
“We’re home, baby,” he soothes, cheek pressed to your clammy temple as he carries you toward the door.
Sanemi doesn’t let himself think about the mental slip he’d just made, by telling you that you were both home; as though he has some claim to your apartment. As though he deserves to, especially after he failed to be with you tonight, when you needed him most.
He sets you down only for a moment to rummage his pocket for the key he’d had made to unlock your door, before he lifts you back up into his arms and totes you inside.
He makes a mental note to check your jacket for your own keys, as well as your wallet — to ensure they’re still on you and haven’t been swiped by whomever targeted you, lest they think it wise to return.
Some brutal, violent part of him dares them to try; let them come for you again. His reputation is brutal enough as applied to the lowlifes he’s tasked with breaking; let them see what he can do when someone he loves is threatened.
He’ll show them a monster.
But first, he needs to get you situated.
He makes for your bed, resolving to strip you free of your clothes and find one of the sweaters or shirts he knows you’ve swiped over the last few months when you begin squirming in his arms.
“Throw up,” you moan, pushing weakly against his chest. “Gonna — up —“
With lightning speed, Sanemi whips around and makes a beeline for your bathroom. He barely has time to set you down in front your toilet and flip open its lid before you’re retching into the bowl.
Sanemi sighs and settles in behind you, his hand gathering your hair together and sweeping it back, holding it out of your way. His other hand rests solidly against your back, occasionally rubbing soothing circles in between your great, shuddering gasps.
At some point, he helps you peel your sweater off of your sweat-dampened skin, leaving you in nothing but your bra and jeans as you continue heaving your guts into the toilet.
Sanemi leans forward and presses his lips against your sticky shoulder. “I’m sorry. I’m so fuckin’ sorry.”
You moan in some vague attempt at a response, though he’s not entirely sure you’ve heard him. You only rest your cheek against the cool porcelain of your toilet, your eyelids heavy as your breathing eases.
When an hour passed without you vomiting up your insides, Sanemi decides it’s likely safe to try and move you to your bed. He would be concerned by the heavy way you rest in his arms, dead to the world, if it wasn’t your steady breathing.
Once he’s stripped you of your jeans and underwear and found you his worn, white and black sweater to wear, he strips himself down to his briefs and climbs into bed with you.
You don’t move, even as he slides his arms under you to bring you to his chest , still too worried that you may throw up at some point in the night and be unable to roll to your side. But Sanemi basks in the temporary relief of knowing you’re here, warm and safe in his arms.
Whoever did this to you should be grateful Sanemi can’t unglue himself from your side right now. He will kill them regardless, and it will hurt; of that, he is certain.
But if he’d had the chance to hunt them down right then, Sanemi was fairly sure there would be no mercy. No where they could run, no where they could hide, where Sanemi would not hunt them down and make them pay.

"mind saying that again?" (heeseung x reader)

a/n: okay look idk what the fuck possessed me to end this drabble on such note but i couldn't help it 🤷‍♀️ i planned to keep it completely pg13 but my weakness for affection starved men took over again...

Tumblr media
With a giggle, you fiddle with the cool ring decorating his middle finger. You're too flustered to meet your boyfriend's gaze, and good for you because if you had, you'd probably end up burning in place at the softness twinkling in Heeseung's eyes as he looked at you.
His thumb rubs the skin of your hand gently before the two of you come to a halt in front of the bricked building of your apartment block.
"Well, text me when you get home, okay?" You ask, finally letting go of his hand and trying not to shiver at the sudden coolness of the crisp fall air hitting your warmed up palm. You tilt your head up to meet his pretty smile. "I won't fall asleep unless I'm sure you made it without getting yourself kidnapped. You're too pretty to walk alone at such hour, you know?"
He lets you pinch his cheek softly before he captures it in his own and moves it to his mouth to brush his lips over your knuckles.
"I'll make sure to do so. Wouldn't want my princess to lose her beauty sleep because of me, would I?"
You raise on your toes to press one last kiss to his cheek. "See you later. Love you."
Your whole world seems to come to a stop as you watch Heeseung's eyes widen with surprise. You suck in a sharp breath, realizing that you mindlessly blurted out the words that have been sitting heavily on your tongue for the past couple months.
Instantly flushing one more time this night, you raise your hand up and try to tuck the hair that the wind's carelessly messed up behind your burning ear.
"I- Uhm, yeah. You know," you stumble out, avoiding his gaze at all cost.
With his thumb and pointer finger, he lifts your chin up and holds it still as he watches the bashful expression blossoming on your face. He hums, eyes glistening at your state and he feels his heart swelling with adoration.
"Mind saying that again, love?"
"I love you too," he says with an uncontained grin. "Damn, you beat me to it. Wanted to be the first one to say it to you."
His voice only makes you weaker in the knees and you hate yourself for responding so eagerly to each and every word of his even after nearly a year of dating.
Feeling your face heating up and betraying you mercilessly, you slither out of his grasp and throw yourself on his body in an attempt to hide your flustered self. Burying your face in his chest, you can feel it vibrating with laughter as he wraps his arms around you loosely and presses his lips to the crown of your head.
"Shut up," you mumble into his chest but tighten your grip on his nonetheless.
"Oh, come on. Say it again, angel," he teases giddily, cold hands slipping underneath your jacket and hitching your sweater up, causing a rush of shivers to run down your spine as his fingers touch your warm skin. "Don't be mean, I've waited so long to hear it from you."
You scoff and pull away from him, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, really? How long?"
"So fucking long it's actually pathetic," he admits and pulls you close by your waist again.
You smile up at him, hand reaching up to cradle his cheek as you raise to your toes and lean up. "Well, if that's the case then I guess it wouldn't be fair of me to keep you on your toes for any longer," you whisper, mouth brushing against his as you press butterfly kisses one after another on his pink lips. "I love you, Heeseung."
And he fucking melts. He squeezes your middle as he ducks down and quickly captures your lips in a full kiss. You gasp in surprise at your boyfriend's sudden rush of eager affection and try to keep up with his greedy mouth.
"Say it again," he whispers into the kiss, hands coming up to cup your face and angle it better for him to suck your bottom lip absolutely maniacally. You're barely present, mind far away in the clouds as he repeats his words with a sudden neediness. "Say it."
And you do, tangling your fingers in his thick hair. "I love you."
"Again."
"Heeseung!" You gasp into his mouth, head dizzy from the lack of air in your lungs.
"C'mon, baby. It's just three words, you can do it."
"I love you."
And with a whine strangled in his throat, he pushes you backwards until you're leaned against the front door of your apartment block, shaky hands raking your pockets in a search for the keys.
"I love you too. More than anything else."

boynextdoor with a fashionable s/o ⊹๋࣭⭑
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
members: bnd legal line x gender neutral reader
genre & tags: fluff, established relationship
wc: 1.9k
a/n: as someone who adores dressing up, i just thought this was something i eventually had to write! i've slowly been building my closet these past few months, looking for thrifted clothes and jewelry i can add to my rotation! it's been fulfilling and i get a lot of energy from the outfits i wear (∩˃o˂∩)♡
🍎🍊🍋🍐🍏🫐🍇
ᯓ★ sungho
🍀 what style does he prefer? 🍀
i personally think sungho is attracted to people who wear more feminine styles of clothing. he just enjoys how pretty and delicate everything looks! he also likes someone with a cozy style—basically anything soft and huggable. the closest style i can think of would be coquette! think oversized cardigans, knit sweaters, pleated or tiered skirts, ribbons, mary janes, and cute hats (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
🐬 shopping with his s/o 🐬
sungho would definitely be an enthusiastic partner if you asked him to accompany you to shop. he looks at each item with an careful eye, assessing the item’s quality in comparison to the price point. i also believe sungho has your wardrobe memorized, so if you show him something similar to what you already have, he’ll point that out so you can look for something else. plus he’ll be a big help calculating costs when you’re shopping on a budget! he’s definitely your voice of reason if you feel indecisive, listing down the pros and cons of each piece. and he’d definitely hold you back if you wanted to buy items out of your budget ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!
🍧 couple items and coordinating outfits 🍧
sungho would def be shy about couple items that are too obvious, so he’d settle for matching necklaces/bracelets with subtle, delicate designs. sungho also tries to match your energy for the day—if you’re going for something lowkey, he’ll do the same, and when you put more effort into your outfit for the day he’ll dress up more! but he'll make sure to never outshine you... he wants everyone to see how pretty you are and focus their attention on you.
🍎🍓🍊🍋🍐🍏🫐🍇
ᯓ★ riwoo
🍀 what style does he prefer? 🍀
riwoo would most likely be attracted to someone who has a quirky and interesting style. the closest style i can think of would be that of 90s harajuku streetwear (think fruits magazine!). he’d like someone who has a strong sense of personal style and someone who’s knowledgeable about clothing materials. plus someone who knows how to layer and experiments/is willing to take risks! i can imagine him thinking someone with colored hair, bright makeup, and who accessorizes is cool (∩˃o˂∩)♡
🐬 shopping with his s/o 🐬
as the most fashionable member in bnd, riwoo would definitely possess a more critical eye when it comes to shopping with you. you’d have dates where you spend all day browsing clothing shops, especially thrift or vintage stores! riwoo makes sure to point out unique pieces or items with good silhouettes. he also thinks about layering and helps you pick items that go well together with your existing closet. he definitely considers durability as a priority—if the piece looks too flimsy, it’s not going home with you.
and if there’s something you really, really want but is out of your budget, he’d most likely buy it for you behind your back, then quietly gifts it to you before the day ends. (⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝) he would buy items you’re both interested in, mostly accessories and outerwear, so you can share them!
🍧 couple items and coordinating outfits 🍧
rather than owning couple items, riwoo and you would borrow from each other's closets! you share accessories like scarves, necklaces, rings, hats, brooches, belts, and even glasses, as well as jackets or layering pieces like vests or button downs. at the rate you nab items from each other, you practically have a shared closet. as for coordinating outfits, riwoo thinks it’s a fun challenge to match your outfits based on materials and patterns! your outfits won’t look similar, but they’ll look like they come from the same collection. i'm sure you and riwoo have a highly popular, shared instagram where you post your looks—you'd definitely be considered a "power couple"!
🍎🍓🍊🍋🍐🍏🫐🍇
ᯓ★ jaehyun
🍀 what style does he prefer? 🍀
i feel like jaehyun wouldn’t have any specific preference as to style, but i think he’d still like a well-dressed s/o! jaehyun would be fine with anything casual and comfortable—clothing that come to mind include cropped tees or button downs, baggy jeans, oversized varsity jackets, and chunky sneakers! but if you’d prefer something more feminine or dressy, he’ll be your #1 hype man ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) he thinks you look pretty in anything you wear because you’re you!
🐬 shopping with his s/o 🐬
jaehyun definitely likes to wander around, but he tries his best to stay Focused when you’re out shopping with him! he’s honest about whether something looks good on you or not. sometimes it results to petty arguments when you’re very insistent about buying a certain item he doesn’t like… but he’ll cave in when you give him your absolutely convincing puppy eyes ૮ ◕ ﻌ ◕ ა. it’ll be very obvious if he likes something—when you come out from the dressing room in a great outfit, he’ll look like he’s just seen his spouse in wedding attire for the first time, jaw drop and all ᰔᩚ૮ ᴖﻌᴖა. he’ll be so full of praise for you it gets a bit embarrassing when there are others in the fitting room area!
🍧 couple items and coordinating outfits 🍧
i strongly believe jaehyun is a sucker for obvious couple outfits or items—he wants everyone to know you belong to each other!!! ૮ ・ﻌ・აᯓᡣ𐭩 he’d definitely love matching jackets or hoodies, something that’ll be comfortable for the both of you! but he’ll also want to have matching necklaces for sure, something to remind you both of each other when you’re apart ₊˚⊹♡ similarly, jaehyun loves coordinating your outfits for special dates! like sungho, he’ll match your vibe for the day—if you’re going for a comfy look, he’ll follow suit; if you want to spend your day in baggy streetwear, he’ll do the same.

ᯓ★ taesan
🍀 what style does he prefer? 🍀
taesan would prefer someone with an opposite style from him, so he’d find a feminine style appealing and interesting! your style could be goth, alt, coquette, or even none of those—honestly, it doesn’t really matter to him. he thinks skirts are very pretty though, whether they be mini skirts with stockings, patterned midi skirts, or flowy maxi skirts.
taesan also likes how your nails are so perfect and meticulously done and considers getting his own nails painted. plus, he’s amazed at how you’re a master at your makeup routine and the amount of effort you put into it, so he watches makeup tutorials in his own time to surprise you by replicating your makeup routine on you (∩˃o˂∩)♡ he would also love taking fit pictures with you with a digicam, and he’d love snapping pictures of you as you pose along the street.
🐬 shopping with his s/o 🐬
taesan loves shopping with his s/o. it’s a time for him to observe his s/o’s preferences and what makes your face light up. when you see an item that makes you gasp in delight, he tries hard to hide a smile at your enthused reaction and silently takes note. he's pretty fashionable, so he’ll be reliable when you ask him for fashion advice! when you shop together, taesan will be honest about what suits you and what doesn’t. when you hold up an item that doesn’t look that nice, he’ll have that pensive look on his face if he’s not into it. he’ll help you look for alternatives when an item you want isn’t in stock. taesan also offers you tips on how to layer jewelry!
taesan is also the type to see an item he thinks would suit you and buy it for you. he ends up accumulating so much that it fills an entire box—when you ask him what he’s bought you so many clothes for, he turns red and shyly tells you how they reminded him of you… which makes you flustered and sooo happy (˶ ᵔ ̫ ᵔ ˶) ♡
🍧 couple items and coordinating outfits 🍧
taesan would secretly adore matching items. you bring it up in passing but are too nervous to directly initiate anything… (づ>/////<)♡ he's initially shy at the thought of it, but when he does his own research, he grows attached to the idea of having matching items with you, someone he dearly cares for. so one day, he gifts you with matching earrings while shyly mentioning he’d love to wear them together! from then on, you'd have fun looking for matching jewelry together.
like riwoo, he’d love to coordinate outfits based on materials and patterns. in particular, he’d love to coordinate a mix of knit, denim, leather, or plaid, typically in neutral/dark colors like off-white, gray, black, or dark red. still, the outfits wouldn’t look exactly the same and would leave room for you to experiment with your individual styles!
🍎🍓🍊🍋🍐🍏🫐🍇
ᯓ★ leehan
🍀 what style does he prefer? 🍀
i think leehan has no particular preference when it comes to fashion, anything goes really! he’s very supportive and content to see how happy you are with the clothes you wear. he wouldn’t mind anyone with a different style from him. at the very least, he’d want you to be comfortable and warm in your outfit. he brings bandaids, safety pins, and a little sewing kit around with him in case any accidents happen—he’d definitely trade his sneakers for yours if your feet start hurting in your shoes ૮ - ﻌ • ა  leehan saves every fit pic you send him and uses them as his wallpaper, and he'd take candid pics of you too and swoon at how cute and pretty and cool you are in your outfit.
🐬 shopping with his s/o 🐬
while he’s not particular about his s/o’s fashion, he’d want to be there while his s/o shops or chooses what outfit to wear for the day. leehan loves quality time with his s/o! but don’t rely on him for fashion advice or expect it to be a productive time; he thinks you look pretty in everything and will let you know. he’s so sincere about it too that you can’t even get mad at him.
but one thing leehan will be insistent about is you wearing fish or marine-themed clothing. 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 he makes you fit the most atrocious fish-patterned polo that looks like something your granddad would wear and thinks you look hot. he sees this cap that goes “fish love me, women fear me” and full-on begs you to buy it. and you know what? you do—because how can you refuse the pleading of a pretty boy like leehan? (ㅅ´ ˘ `) he's just happy to see you dressed up in something he has an interest in.
🍧 couple items and coordinating outfits 🍧
leehan would definitely buy you matching alien plush keychains to attach to your bags or belt loops 👽⋆。°✩ he’d feel giddy looking at your matching charms and how cute they look on you… it’s like you bring a part of him everywhere you go 🛸 and i stand by this—leehan would definitely have custom shirts printed for the both of you that say “i love fish and my s/o”. deep inside you’re embarrassed at how the design looks like it’s been shoddily done on microsoft powerpoint, but when leehan proudly admits he made it himself, you just shut up and wear it… anything for him i guess (๑>؂•̀๑)
something i’ve also observed is how in the bnd content online, leehan wears long sleeves almost all the time! so rather than have coordinating outfits, leehan would lend you his outerwear. he’s a man with a plan—but is veeeery sneaky about it. he accidentally “forgets” his sweaters at your place. he also lends you his jacket with the excuse of “adding layers” to your outfit (something he learned from you!!!). and somehow, his clothes make their way into your closet—you’re highly puzzled, but you’re not complaining (❀❛ ֊ ❛„)♡

IT'S GONNA BE MY YEAR
Tumblr media
“It’s gonna be my year.”
The mantra echoed in Eddie’s head, repeating itself with ever-increasing volume to the point where he didn’t even hear the obnoxious clang of the bell that signaled the end of class.
Shaking out the monotony, he got up from his desk and slowly ambled toward his locker. Going to class was a bore, but if this was what he had to do to get out of this hellhole he was going to make it happen. The hallways were abuzz with students talking about anything and everything. Nothing that actually mattered though. He caught snippets of conversations about weekend plans, the upcoming game, marching band, and some of his D&D friends talking about their most recent epic campaign.
Once his friends passed him, he tuned out the rest of the student body. Either none of them mattered to him, they pissed him off, or they were unattainable to him.
Before he could even register it, some asshole in a green and white letterman jacket jammed him in the shoulder, causing his books to fall to the floor. He bent down, grimacing all the while. He was used to it by now.
“Hey, douchebag!” Eddie heard someone scream from behind him. “Does that make you feel cool, Jason?”
Eddie turned his head around to see Y/N yelling at the head of the basketball team. She wasn’t in the “nerd group” so to speak, but she wasn’t exactly popular either. Thing was, she didn’t care. He loved that about her.
Jason slinked away without saying anything, which made a smile curl at the edge of Eddie’s lips. “Go ahead, walk away like a little bitch!”
When she bent down to help him, he met her gaze and smiled. “Thanks for that. I always love watching you call out the assholes in this place.” He hadn’t really meant for that last part to come out. Eddie the Banished wasn’t necessarily hurting for female attention, but he knew the hierarchy in this place. Who was on his level and who wasn’t. Y/N definitely wasn’t. She was ridiculously smart and effortlessly cool without fitting in with any one group.
“Jason’s a douche. Don’t pay any attention to him.”
“I try not to,” he laughed, a warmth spreading through him when she laughed too. She handed him his math book. He hated that thing. “I don’t know if I even want this back.”
“Not your best subject?” She asked.
He stumbled over his words as he took her in. She was wearing acid wash, a checkered red and black sweater-shirt thing that dipped just a little too low, and a little silver chain necklace that highlighted her chest. “Definitely not.” It was rare that he felt ashamed, but in her presence, admitting he could barely pass remedial math, he did. “Thanks for your help.”
“No problem,” she said softly. When he began to walk away, she called for him. “Eddie, I could help you with math if you want.” Her body swayed, a soft smile highlighting her beautiful face.
“You sure? You’re okay being seen with Eddie “The Freak” Munson?”
She jogged up to his side and they began walking toward the west hall. “People are assholes. I don’t think you’re a freak. I’d be happy to help. We’d just have to find a place to study because my parents don’t allow anyone over.”
“I mean, I live in a trailer with my uncle. Would your parents let you come over?”
She snickered. “No, but I also don’t really tell them anything. I just go where I want and they can’t really get mad because I get good grades and they have appearances they need to maintain. Grounding their only daughter doesn’t look good. Tonight?”
“Definitely, you know where the trailer park is?” He hated saying that out loud to her.
“Yup. How about 8?”
“Sound good.”
                                                               -----
Later that night, Eddie tried desperately to get the guy stink and reefer out of the air. He knew this wasn’t a date or anything, but he still felt the need to impress her. Despite hearing her car roll up to the trailer park, he practically jumped out of his skin when she knocked on the trailer door.
The breath was knocked out of him when he opened the door. She’d changed since class let out, wearing a black skirt, red crop top, and little red heels. “Ready to get started?” She asked.
For nearly an hour and a half, she did her best to break down the mathematical concepts he was supposed to understand. She was more than patient and didn’t say a thing about the fact that his room was a complete mess and the whole trailer still smelled of dope. “Can we take a break?” He asked, rubbing his temple. “I’m starting to get it, but my head is killing me.”
Smiling, Y/N stood up and stretched, even more of her silken skin peeking out from under her shirt. “Sure, what do you usually do to relax?”
Laughing, he replied, “What I normally do is probably not something you’d be into. I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable.”
Her gaze softened in a way that made him warm all over. “I’m not as innocent as you think, Eddie Munson.”
Scrambling off his bed, he went to his drawer and pulled out a pre-rolled joint from earlier - one he’d imagined lighting up after she left. “You ever smoked one of these before?”
“A joint,” she said, reaching across to take the joint and the lighter from his hands, “Yes, I have.” As the end of the cigarette caught flame, she inhaled deeply, and little wisps of smoke danced around her lips. She held her breath, allowing the smoke to fill her lungs. “Not my first time.”
“Who would’ve thought,” Eddie replied with a smile. When she offered the joint to him, he took in between took fingers and slipped it into his mouth, relaxing a bit as he jumped off the bed and grabbed her a snack from the cabinet above their heads. “So, when did you start smoking?”
She hesitated for a moment, taking her turn with the joint before answering. “A couple years ago. As an only child from a well-to-do family, I apparently need to have the weight of the world on my shoulders. My dad wants me to become a doctor, so I study my ass off and they continue to acknowledge that I’m his pride and joy. It’s a lot to handle. And lately, I’ve decided not to apply to college as a pre-med major. I want to follow my own dreams, not his, you know?””
Nodding, he took the joint from her and took a puff. “What do you want to do with your life?” He asked genuinely.
“I’ve always loved the idea of the ocean even though I’ve never even seen one. I want to study marine biology and learn about sea creatures and stuff.” He saw a weight lift from her shoulders - like she could finally be herself around someone.
“That’s fucking awesome,” he replied, handing the joint back to her. “Why do your parents not want you to do that? You’d be a brainy scientist.”
“Because apparently nothing is respectable besides being a doctor or a lawyer.”
She spoke with such disdain that he felt bad for ever assuming that her life was an easy one just because she came from better circumstances than him. He swallowed the lump in his throat. “You’ll make an amazing marine biologist, and you’ll do it on your terms. Fuck everyone else’s expectations.”
Silence hung heavily like the smoke in the air. When she went to hand the joint back to him, he held up his hand. “Take another one. I think you might need it more right now.”
Her smile shined in the smoke-infused trailer. Spinning around, her arms outstretched, she pulled the cigarette to her lips and took a small hit before stopping herself abruptly. “Thanks, Eddie. I really needed this.”
“It’s the least I can do for the math help.”
She took another big puff of the joint and crossed the space between them, pausing in front of him. His eyes fell to her lips and the next thing he knew they were on him, the smoke from her mouth traveling to his own. Slowly, she slipped her tongue across his before pulling away.
Eddie stood almost frozen in place, still feeling the heat of her lips on his. “Y-you didn’t just do that because you’re in a like, vulnerable place right?”
She shook her head, reaching for the hem of her shirt and slipping it off to reveal that she wasn’t wearing a bra.
“I...” Eddie’s mouth went dry.
As she stepped toward him, she reached out to grasp his hand. His fingertips were rough and semi-cracked from his near-constant guitar playing, but she didn’t flinch, placing his hand on her breast.
Without hesitation, Eddie pulled her toward him and molded his other hand to her skin, pliant and warm. Roaming her body, he breathed. “Fuck, you’re gorgeous.”
She bit her lip and cradled her head in the crook of his neck, filling herself with the scent of him - earthy wisps of dried flowers and a crackling fire with just a hint of something that was all his own. He drowned in the feeling of her warmth against him, a heavy breath escaping his mouth as she kissed the spot just below his ear.
“Want you,” she said softly, running her hands under his belt.
Eddie grasped a swath of her hair and pulled her mouth to his, their previous hesitancy and intent giving way to a frenetic intensity that neither had felt in quite some time. Clothing fell to the floor as they stumbled over the various items left there, landing with a thud against the wall right next to his guitar.
“Will you play for me someday?” Y/N asked, stepping out of her skirt.
Eddie nodded, moaning when she bit his lower lip and ripped his belt from its loops. “Absolutely.” His light-hearted smile fell as she dropped to her knees before him.
Looping her fingers under his jeans and boxers, she replied. “I’ll hold you to it.” His cock sprang free, and she smiled against him, placing kisses from the base of his shaft to the tip of his cock.
He let out a shaky breath when she added her tongue to the mix, nearly losing his balance as his knees gave way slightly. She laughed against the curls at the base of his cock and placed her hands against the wall on either side of him. “I’ve got you,” she said melodically.
When he looked down, he nearly lost it, her eyes glossed over in ecstasy, lips plump and dewy with spit. “Fuck,” he replied, swallowing the lump in his throat. “Need...” As she wrapped her lips around him, all thought was cut off and the rest of what he was going to say got caught in his throat.
Raw need permeated every nerve, his body on fire at the feel of her mouth, warm, wet, and swirling around his shaft. Slipping his hands into her hair, he guided her movements, showing her what he liked without saying a word. They fell into a rhythm of groans and thrusts, his cock randomly hitting the back of her throat, the feeling shooting straight to her pussy. When she moaned around him, he nearly came, pulling her off him just in time. “Wait,” he said, eyes hooded with need, “have to be inside you.”
Pulling her toward the bed, he knocked some of his knick-knacks over trying to grab for a condom. He quickly sheathed himself and fell back onto the bed, guiding himself into her with one smooth movement.
“Holy fuck,” they groaned simultaneously.
Pure, unadulterated lust overcame the lingering effects of the joint. Leaning forward, she grasped his lips in a kiss as her hips bucked up and down. "Fuck me, Munson."
Eddie slipped his hands into her hair, gently tugging at the scalp and smiling against her as she whimpered. She smelled like weed and sunshine, the scent filling his nose as he pulled her down onto him, filling her fully.
Without a word, he flipped her over and let instinct take over, grinding slowly into her sweet cunt until she was crying out, legs wrapped tightly around his waist. “Holy hell,” she breathed.
He pulled her in close, reveling in the feel of her sweat-slick skin against his. “I really hope you get out of this town, Y/N. You deserve it.”
“You do too, Eddie. What would you do if you got out of here?”
He pondered the question for a moment. "Honestly, I don't know. I've never believed I'd get out...until this year. I feel like I might actually graduate at 20."
"I'll help," she said sincerely, looking up at him, pressing a kiss to his shoulder. "I'll tutor you in math and once you graduate maybe we can shove off to one of the coasts. I can study marine life, you can play for me, and you'll figure out what you want to do with your life."
That sounded perfect, almost too good to be true. "I'd like that," he replied, kissing the top of her head. "It's finally gonna be my year."

2 years later
Hawkins, 1987
Sunlight peeks through the blue curtains in the large bedroom, the sound of cars driving through the streets fills the silence in the apartment, the smell of paint, fresh bed sheets and the vanilla candle that was lit for the first time last night, all mingle together. Both opened and unopened boxes are all across the room. Most of the clothes – jackets, sweaters and flannels are already in the closet. The dressers are decorated with books, pictures and a lone mug that was forgotten yesterday morning. A diary and a new lamp are decorating the bedside table.
Silent tiptoes echo against the hardwood floor before they disappear again and reappear on his thick blanket, the faintest purr and the softness against his skin pulls him out of his deep sleep.
A smile tugs at his lips when the little ball of fur snuggles against his bare chest.
“Hey there… Cat,” Steve mumbles, groggily.
The black kitten meows at him.
“Yeah, yeah,” he murmurs, opening his tired eyes. “You’ll get a cool name soon, don’t worry, dude.”
He strokes his back, gently. Smiling when he starts to purr as he moves closer to him.
A yawn falls from Steve’s lips, he runs his fingers through his hair, he looks over at the clock. He raises his eyebrows in surprise, it’s 6:46am.
“Look at you, I don’t even need an alarm anymore,” he mumbles.
Cat meows at him, standing up on all paws, he suddenly digs his nails into his chest as he stretches.
“Ow!.. Yeah, no, we don’t do that on humans, buddy,” he mumbles as he picks him up, giving him a kiss on the head, before he puts him down on his pillow.
Steve throws the covers off himself, stretching his arms out before he gets up and walks over to the window, he opens the curtains and takes a look outside before he walks over to the closet, picking out some clothes for the day.
“Gonna take a shower and then make breakfast for the princess,” he says to his new buddy, as though he would answer. He looks back at him to find him staring with his head tilted. Steve chuckles, “yeah, don’t tell her I called her that, she’d probably punch me.”
After a long shower, he makes his way into the kitchen, he feeds his cat before he gets started on the breakfast that he cooks for Robin and himself every morning. He sips on his hot coffee, bobbing his head to music that plays from the radio that he bought a few days back as he stirs the scrambled eggs.
Robin walks out of her room moments later, with messy hair and a very tired look on her face, she makes a stop in the bathroom before she joins Steve in the kitchen.
“Morning Dingus,” she grumbles as she pushes past him. She grabs her favorite mug from the cupboard and pours the freshly brewed coffee into it.
“Morning, Robby,” he chuckles. “How’d you sleep?”
“Like shit,” she mumbles, walking over to the fridge, she opens it and grabs the creamer. “I need coffee so so bad.”
Steve scrunches his face up at her, watching her pour tons and tons of creamer in.
“I don’t know how you can drink that, it’s too fucking sweet, Robin.”
She rolls her eyes at him, taking a sip from it, she closes her eyes and nods. “No, this is exactly what I need. Flavored goodness to wake me up in the morning.”
“Yeah, it’s the overload of sugar that wakes you up, not the coffee in there,” he chuckles as he points to her mug. “It’s bad for your teeth.”
“It’s not an overload, you’re just a grandpa.”
“Why? Because I don’t like creamer?”
“No, because you don’t like sweet stuff.”
“Not true, I got sugar in my coffee.”
She snorts, leaning against the counter, she holds her mug against her chest, “yeah, how much? A sprinkle?”
He takes a sip of his coffee, shaking his head at her, “nope, two teaspoons.”
“Oh wow!”
He rolls her eyes at her, placing his hand on his hip, he turns back to the stove.
She chuckles at his pose, “you know, you’re like a real mom – cooking breakfast for me, telling me to be safe even though I’m dating a girl, telling me that sugary stuff is bad for my teeth.”
He waves her off, “yeah yeah.”
She laughs, walking over to their kitchen table, she sits down and reaches for the newspaper, “hey, where’s your little buddy?”
Steve uses the spatula to point at the couch, “buddy is sleeping.”
Robin straightens her back, looking over to where he’s pointing, she finds the tiny kitten sleeping on the fluffy blanket she left there, last night.
Her eyes soften and her lips pull into a pout, “he’s the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen – I’m so happy you kept him.”
“Not like I had a choice,” Steve snorts, though his eyes are soft as he looks at his little buddy. “Dustin forced me to keep him.”
“Don’t act like it wasn’t the birthday present you ever got,” Robin says, glancing at him.
Dustin and Max thought it was a great idea to adopt a kitten for his 21st birthday. He didn’t exactly have a choice but to keep him – besides, Steve fell in love with the cat the moment he held him in his hands.
“Yeah, I love him. I don’t have a name for him yet though.”
Robin shrugs, “you didn’t like any of my suggestions. I guess he will stay ‘Cat’ forever.”
“No, he won’t,” Steve shakes his head as he walks over to the table, placing both plates on the table before he walks back to the counter to get his cup of coffee.
“That smells good,” Robin smiles at him, pulling the plate closer and reaching for the fork, “thanks mom,” she teases him.
He flips her off as he sits down across from her, making her chuckle.
She takes a bite of the toast and digs into the eggs, getting lost in her thoughts as she chews her breakfast.
Steve looks at her, watching the way she raises her brows before she holds her finger up, like she does every time whenever she remembers something important.
“Oh! I just remembered, Lizzy told me that someone’s moving in next door!”
“Really?” He asks, furrowing his brows at her.
“Yeah, some couple.”
Steve frowns at her words, dropping his fork, he reaches for his mug.
“Damn, let’s hope they’re nothing like the couple in the last apartment building,” he says in disgust.
Robin and Steve lived across the street in the old building for almost two years and almost every night, they’d both have to wear earplugs to avoid hearing them moan and scream.
“They were horny rabbits,” Robin laughs in amusement as she continues eating, totally unfazed by those memories.
“Yeah, like you and Chrissy,” he mumbles, glaring at her. “I hope the walls here are thicker than in the last apartment.”
Robin blushes at his words, though she keeps the teasing smile on her lips. Excitement rushes through her when she thinks about her girlfriend, who is currently away for college.
“You’ll find out next week.”
“She’s coming to visit?”
“Mhmm.”
“Cool,” Steve nods, smiling at her. “Alright, I’m gonna clean up the kitchen and you should start getting ready for work or the manager will kick you out.”
She snorts at his words, rolling her eyes at the teasing look on his face.
“You’re the manager, Dingus.”
“Not yet, Robs.”
“Yeah, well you’re almost the manager.”
“Almost, yeah.”
-
It’s the beginning of September, the last days of summer are going strong. It’s not as hot as it was in July or August, but it’s still very warm. The afternoon sun shines into the store, the soft breeze from outside touching his skin as he passes by the open door.
It’s a slow day at Family Video and Steve spent most of his time stacking up new tapes. Frowning every time he passes by Pretty in Pink, he came to hate the movie, simply because he gets asked about it at least five times a day – and because Robin and Chrissy force him to watch the movie with them, all the damn time.
He’s organizing the shelf in the back aisle, fixing all the tapes that have been put back unevenly.
He furrows his brows when he hears Robin’s whispers as she seemingly talks to someone at the front, though he doesn’t take a peek to look who it is, he figures that she’s using the phone to talk to Chrissy as always. Keith almost caught her during one of her phone calls – she came up with a lie and he of course had her back, Keith didn’t seem to believe that she was talking to a customer who was asking for a very specific movie, he also didn’t believe Steve when he told him that said customer calls all the time, but he brushed it off, surprisingly. He must have had a good day, otherwise he would have fired them both probably.
He almost flinches when he feels someone tapping his shoulder – he didn’t even hear the footsteps.
“Excuse me? – Can you help me find Pretty in Pink?”
It takes him a moment.
He almost groans in annoyance at the mention of that movie but then his eyes widen and his heart leaps to his throat. For a second he thinks that it’s his mind playing tricks on him but when he turns around, his eyes widen even further and his lips curl into a big smile.
The same eyes that were filled with tears after the last goodbye two years back, now stare at him with happiness and excitement in them.
You are here.
You came back.
“I– Dolly?!” He gasps as he looks you up and down, like he can’t believe that you are truly here after being away for so long.
“Hi, Stevie.”
You’re looking at him with a smile on your face as you take in the sight of him too.
It’s almost been two years since you had last seen each other.
Two years since you have left Hawkins.
You look happy, you look beautiful, even more so than before. Your hair is even longer now, styled perfectly, long bangs are framing your face. Your lips are cherry red, it suits you well. You’re wearing a short sundress, your sun kissed skin is glowing beneath the sunlight that shines into the store. He can smell your perfume, it’s a new one.
You look amazing, healthy and at peace.
Snapping out of it, he drops the tape he was holding, not caring where it lands. He takes a step forward, he wraps his arms around your waist and picks you up, twirling you around as he holds you tightly.
A squeal falls from your lips before you start laughing, you wrap your arms around his neck. Hugging him back just as tightly.
“I missed you so fucking much!” He exclaims, squeezing your waist. “I’m never letting you leave again.”
“I missed you too, Steve.”
He missed your voice too – you called him on his birthday but this is different.
You giggle, letting go of him when he puts you down again.
He squeezes you one more time before he pulls away from the hug, still smiling for you, unable to tear his eyes away from you.
“Hi,” he whispers.
“Hi,” you smile, giggling again.
You take in the sight of him. He changed, somehow he appears even taller to you than before. His shoulders are broader, his hair is longer, a light stubble on his cheeks. He looks older, in a good way. But most importantly, he looks content, he looks happy and that makes your smile even bigger.
He blinks, he opens his mouth to speak again but he is stunned, completely caught off guard.
He takes a deep breath, running his fingers through his hair before he puts his hand on the shelf next to him.
“I– wow, I can’t believe you’re back,” he says, shaking his head. “And you, you look amazing.”
You look down at the floor, smiling at his words.
“Thank you. You do too, Steve.”
Your eyes meet his again when you look back up.
“Thank you,” he smiles as his eyes soften.
He gets excited, too excited at the thought of seeing you around town again. Hawkins hasn’t been the same since you left. It was weird at first, places that you have always gone to, suddenly seemed so lonesome and lifeless, despite the people around them. You were just gone and he hated it.
“W-Wait, are you back for good or are you just visiting?”
You shake your head, “no, we’re back, for good.”
Steve can’t begin to describe how happy he feels to hear these words. He missed you, he missed his best friend.
There are so many things he wants to ask, so many things he wants to tell you but he is just too stunned.
He looks over your shoulder, “where’s Eddie?”
“He’s talking to Robin, wanna go say hi?” You smile.
“Yeah, let’s go,” he nods, putting his hand on your shoulder. “So, did you guys plan to come back here or was it spontaneous.”
“Both. We just kinda made that decision spontaneously, back in July. It’s been nice to live in a big city and travel around whenever we had the chance to but we missed everyone here,” you pause, smiling when your eyes meet Eddie’s as you and Steve make your way to the front desk. “Even Eddie, can you believe that?”
He chuckles, knowing how much Eddie always cursed about this town.
“Do you have a place here already or are you staying with your mom?”
You shake your head, “no, Wayne helped us find an apartment and Enzo was happy to offer Eddie a job again.”
Steve nods, smiling.
“And you?”
“Oh, I got an interview tomorrow at the new coffee shop here!” You explain, excitedly. “We checked it out earlier, it’s so cool! They sell books and records!”
His eyes light up, his lips curl into a smile, “it’s a good place, they make good coffee there.”
“Do you go there often?”
He nods, “yeah and so do Max and Lucas, they go there to study – like every afternoon,” he chuckles.
“Really?” You ask, your eyes lighting up.
“Yeah!”
“Cute,” you smile. “But uh, let’s not get too forward, maybe I won’t get the job.”
He pats your shoulder, giving you a soft smile, “nah, you’ll get it. You love coffee, books and music. They gotta give you the job. – But hey, if you wanna stack up VHS tapes all day, this place will look for a new employee soon, so if you’re interested,” he offers as his smile grows wider. “I’m gonna be the manager soon.”
You both stop at the counter and Steve places his hand on his hip, smirking a little.
Your eyes widen at his words, “no way! That’s amazing, Steve!”
“What’s amazing?”
At the sound of his voice, Steve tears his eyes away from you and looks over at Eddie. He takes him in just like he did with you – it’s almost odd to see him without his signature leather jacket or his vest, his skin a little less pale than usual. He notices the new tattoos on his left arm and how his hair is slightly longer than it was when you both left. Unlike the last few times they had seen each other, there’s not a single negative emotion lingering in his brown eyes – no insecurity, no jealousy, no fear. Eddie looks happy, just like you do.
“Hey man,” Steve nods at him, not even needing to force a smile this time.
“Hey Steve,” Eddie nods, smiling back at him and offering his hand to him.
They shake hands, taking in the sight of each other. There’s no tension between them, not anymore.
“Steve is gonna be the new manager here soon!”
Eddie’s eyes widen, he chuckles at your excitement and smiles at Steve, “congrats, man! That’s nice.”
“Thanks, Eddie.” Steve smiles.
Robin looks between them as she leans against the counter with her arms crossed over her chest, smiling at the two men.
Eddie wraps his arm around your shoulder once he lets go of Steve’s hand. Giving you a smile when you press yourself against him.
“Well, this is nice,” Robin snorts, clapping her hands together as she looks between both men. “You finally got a guy to hang out with, Steve,” she winks at him.
He snorts at her, rolling his eyes. “I got a guy.”
“Who, cat?”
You snap your head towards Robin before your eyes lock with Steve’s, “Cat? You got a cat?”
He chuckles at the excitement in your eyes. “Yeah, Dustin and Max got me a kitten for my birthday.”
Your eyes widen as a gasp falls from your lips, making both him and Eddie chuckle.
“Yeah and he still doesn’t have a name!” Robin exclaims.
“Oh my god! A kitten?” You pout as your eyes soften.
“Yeah, he’s really cuddly too. You’re gonna fall in love with him,” Steve smiles.
Eddie chuckles at his words, looking down at you, “she falls in love with all the cats, Steve.”
“Yeah, that’s why she fell for you,” Robin snorts.
Eddie furrows his brows, “what?”
“You give off cat energy, Eddie. Always hungry, hissing at everyone and clingy with just that one person.”
Eddie’s lips part, confusion flashes in his eyes but he’s amused by her words. He wraps his arm around you tighter and kisses your cheek in response, making you giggle.
“See,” Robin chuckles.
“Oh.. yeah,” Steve mumbles. “You’re onto something, totally reminds me of Cat–”
“Cat is the poor kitten he hasn’t named yet, by the way,” Robin interrupts him, glancing at the both of you.
Steve rolls his eyes but continues, “cat waggles with his tail when he hears Metallica on the radio.”
“You got a rockstar cat!” You laugh.
“Can we meet the little rockstar?” Eddie asks, surprising Steve.
He was unsure of how Eddie would react if he tried to be your friend again, fearing that he would have a problem with that or try to keep you away from him out of fear that he might try to get you back. He didn’t expect Eddie to be the one to make the first move though but it puts a smile on his face.
“Yeah, of course! You two should come over tonight so we can catch up.”
“Yes!” Robin says, excitedly. “You can tell us all about your fun adventures!”
“That would be nice,” you smile. “I missed hanging out with you guys.”
“Yeah, me too, surprisingly.” Eddie snorts.
“Don’t act like you didn’t cry over us every day, Edward,” Robin teases him, looking between you two. Her eyes suddenly flash with curiosity. “Hey wait, where are you two staying?”
You and Eddie share a look, smiling at one another before you turn back to her.
“Wayne helped us get an apartment! We moved all the boxes in and some of the furniture from our old place earlier,” Eddie explains, moving his hand to the small of your back. “The place is just around the corner.”
“It’s cool, we love it. And the landlord is a really nice lady.”
Robin and Steve slowly turn towards one another, sharing the same look as realization dawns on them both.
Lizzy, the really nice old lady, told Robin about the couple that was moving in next door just last night.
Steve purses his lips, slowly looking back at you, “w-wait..”
“Umm, your landlord doesn’t happen to go by the name of Lizzy?”
Eddie raises his brows at them both, nodding.
“Yeah! She was sweet and she complimented me – oh! And she told me how much her husband looked like Eddie when he was young!” You giggle.
Steve’s lips part in surprise and Eddie almost wants to laugh at his expression until Robin opens her mouth.
“Wow, she must’ve had two husbands then because apparently Steve also looked like her husband!” She says, chuckling as she takes in the confused looks on your and Eddie’s faces.
Steve pinches the bridge of his nose, mumbling something under his breath as his cheeks flush red at Robin’s comment.
“W-Wait what?” Eddie stutters, tilting his head at her. “How do you – huh?”
While your boyfriend takes longer to realize what is going on, it only takes you a second to understand that your landlord is also Steve’s and Robin’s landlord.
“So.. you are the couple who’s moving in next door?” Steve waves his finger between you and Eddie.
“Next door?” Eddie mumbles. “Didn’t you – wait, I thought you still lived in that apartment next to Radio Shack?”
You nod at his words, you thought the same thing.
Steve and Robin share a look, both sighing at the mention of their old place.
“Yeah, we moved out of that one two weeks ago, it was a shithole, honestly.”
Robin nods with her eyes wide. Tapping her fingers against the counter, “yep.”
You and Eddie chuckle in confusion, taking in their ‘traumatized’ faces.
“What was wrong with that place?”
“Oh, it’s a long story!” Steve laughs, scratching the back of his neck. “We’ll tell you all about it later.”
“Yes! We’ll order some takeout, have a couple of drinks and you two can tell us all about Chicago!” Robin smiles.
Excitement rushes through you. You missed your friends, you missed Robin and Steve.
Eddie squeezes your arm, he looks down at you.
You meet your boyfriend’s loving eyes, he nods at you.
A smile tugs at your lips, you lean your head on his shoulder and turn back to your friends.
“We’d love to.”
Steve’s eyes light up, he smiles at you, clapping his hands together.
“You’ll get to meet cat!” He chuckles.
Robin chuckles at his excitement, she runs her fingers through her hair, “Steve and I are gonna order the food!”
“And we’ll get the drinks,” Eddie winks at her.
She clicks her tongue, winking back at him.
Steve chuckles at them, he looks back at you, “alright then, neighbors,” he says with a funny look on his face. “I’ll drop by your place after work, gotta see and make sure that you didn’t get the better apartment.”
A laugh falls from your lips, “we totally did, Stevie.”
“You wish,” he smirks.
“The place is a mess, we gotta get some stuff done.”
“Like what?” Steve asks, looking at Eddie. “I can help.”
“Nah, it’s fine. I got it,” Eddie smiles, though he appreciates the offer.
“I’m off this weekend, so if you need anything, let me know.”
You’re pleasantly surprised to see them getting along with each other.
Time has passed, things have changed, feelings have changed. But nonetheless, you expected more tension between them – you are happy that it’s not the case.
And as they fall into a conversation, you and Robin smile at each other, knowing that things will be different this time.
-
Steve’s and Robin’s place is a little bigger than yours and Eddie’s. It’s colorful, not overwhelming though, it’s comforting and cozy. String lights are hanging from the ceiling, posters of Indie bands on the living room walls, pillows and blankets on the couch, you remember seeing those on Robin’s bed in her old room at her parent’s place.
Boxes of takeouts, drinks and snacks are all across the small table. Music plays in the background.
You’re sitting on the floor, a box of polaroids in front of you, a smile lingering on your face as you look through the pictures that were taken in the past two years.
Robin is next to you, telling you the stories behind every picture.
“He is such a cute little thing,” Eddie coos at the kitten in his lap, chuckling when he digs his claws into his shirt, using it to crawl up on his chest. Cat purrs as he rubs against Eddie’s face. “Damn, you’re making me want a cat too.”
Steve takes a sip from his beer, leaning back on the couch, “you should get one, they’re adorable.”
“Can’t believe you didn’t name him yet.”
“Yeah, everyone has been suggesting names!” Robin exclaims, looking away from the picture of her and Chrissy. “He hates every single one!”
Steve rolls his eyes at her, “they just don’t fit, Robby!”
“I fear he’s gonna be Cat forever,” Eddie pouts as he pets him.
You put the last picture back in the box and stand up, smoothing down your skirt and Eddie’s shirt that you changed into after your shower earlier. You sit down next to Eddie, snuggling against his side – the moment you do so, Steve’s cat makes his way towards you, jumping into your lap and looking up at you with his green eyes.
Your eyes light up, your heart soars in your chest as you pick him up and pull him closer, setting him down on your chest.
“Hey there, little buddy,” you whisper, smiling as he snuggles deeper into your chest, purring as he digs his claws into your shirt. “You are such a sweet little angel.”
Eddie chuckles, reaching his hand out to pet his head.
“You love those boobs don’t you, Cat?” He smirks. “I do too. They’re so fun to play with.”
“Eddie!” You gasp.
Robin laughs at his words and at the flustered look on your face.
Steve shakes his head, snorting.
“He is a very innocent little thing,” you coo at the kitten, scratching the spots behind his ears, he keeps purring, closing his eyes as he lays his head on your chest. “Oh my god, I love him.”
Eddie smiles down at you as you lay your head on his shoulder, he wraps his arm around you.
Steve leans his elbow on the headrest, looking between you and Eddie, the way you are so natural and comfortable with each other – it’s nothing new to him, you have always been like that with one another, maybe slightly less touchy.
The look in Eddie’s eyes as nothing but pure love and adoration as he laughs when Cat licks your nose.
You giggle, scrunching up your nose and closing your eyes.
He can’t describe the feeling in his chest at this moment, but seeing you so happy, seeing the love between you and Eddie makes him feel at peace.
Two years ago, he let go.
A part of him will always think back to it, back to you and to what you both had.
But he let go, and it’s good like this because he still got to keep you in his life, maybe not like before, but he is happy with what he gets to have now.
You left and you both lived separate lives.
But you came back and you’re here again.
And maybe, you both can go back to how things were before you crossed the line and left behind a friendship that you both mourn.
“Hey Dolly?”
You turn your face towards him, looking into his warm eyes, “yes?”
“Do you have some name suggestions?” He asks. “You always named the stray cats so..”
A smile pulls at your lip, “hmm.”
Robin reaches for the bowl of popcorn on the table, placing it on her lap, she begins snacking as she shoots you a look, “I’m warning you, he’s gonna hate all the names.”
“Shut it, Robs.”
She flips him off, causing Eddie to chuckle at their interaction.
You hum as you look at the black kitten on your chest, “void.”
Eddie snorts, “that’s a good one.”
Steve sighs, shaking his head.
“He rubbed off on you,” he mumbles, nudging Eddie’s shoulder. “What would the child, innocent and pure 10 year old Dolly name this cat?”
You giggle at him, turning away to look back down at him.
“Hmm… Stevie!”
Robin and Eddie laugh at your name suggestion.
“What?”
You look over at Steve, who’s staring at you like he’s waiting for you to continue.
“Not you. The cat! Call him Stevie – he gives off Stevie energy.”
Steve scrunches his whole face up, “I am not naming the cat after me! Seriously, do you guys even try?”
You all laugh at the disapproving look on his face.
“Ozzy,” Eddie shrugs.
“Huh?”
“Ozzy Osbourne,” Eddie says to Steve. “You know, from Black Sabbath?”
Steve stares at him with furrowed brows and downturned lips. But as he watches his cat claw his way out of your lap and jumps over Eddie to get to him, he looks up at him, yawning as he settles in his lap.
“Ozzy,” Steve murmurs, petting him. Steve smiles when he starts purring. “Yeah, I think he likes that one.”
“Is that a yes?”
Steve’s eyes meet Eddie’s, a smile tugs at his lips. “Yeah, shit.. you got a name, buddy,” he chuckles as he looks back down at Ozzy.
Robin claps her hands, “finally!” She cheers. “Wow, I can’t believe you let Eddie name the cat.”
“Does that mean you’re both his parents?” You ask, giggling.
Eddie snorts, pulling you closer as he smirks down at you.
“Sure, but I got full custody of my child,” Steve jokes.
Two years back, Steve would have rolled his eyes at your joke but now he just laughs and plays along.
You have noticed how much he changed.
Your last moments with him, before you left, weren’t the happiest. He was sad, heartbroken and lost. But now he seems content, happy. Even after his failed attempts at dating again, he doesn’t seem sad or heartbroken over it. He told you about his horrible date experiences with Heidi and Amanda – and he didn’t seem pained while he was talking about it, he was amused, that’s all. He tried dating and he gave up, not because he wasn’t ready but because he is just not looking for love or a relationship – ‘It will happen when the time is right.’ He said.
He is more relaxed now, calm and he seems more confident with himself. You like seeing him this way, he deserves to feel comfortable with himself.
“A cat is good training for kids someday,” Robin says, leaning back as she throws popcorn into her mouth.
“Oh really? Do you want kids?” Eddie chuckles.
Robin shakes her head with wide eyes, “hell no. I’m not Steve, he’s the one with a car full of kids.”
“Do I look like I have a bunch of kids?” Steve mumbles, confused.
“Yeah.” All three of you reply in unison.
“You have six kids already.”
He rolls his eyes but chuckles, “they’re not even kids anymore!”
“Maybe you can babysit their kids soon,” Robin wiggles her brows as she nudges her chin at you and Eddie.
“Oh my god,” you groan, shaking your head at her.
Steve suddenly frowns, blinking as he stares at you and Eddie, “wait, where’s your bedroom again?”
“Huh?”
“Your bedroom, what side is it on? Cause our last neighbors were fucking like rabbits!”
“Yeah it was disgusting!” Robin mumbles.
“You’re one to talk!” Steve glares at her. “I have to wear earplugs every time Chrissy comes to visit, they’re fucking rabbits too.”
She grows red, rolling her eyes at him.
You laugh at the flustered look on her face.
“Yeah, I hope you still have those earplugs,” Eddie chuckles. “Our room is right over there.”
Robin groans loudly as she looks at the wall he’s pointing at.
Steve sighs.
“We got kicked out of our last apartment because we fu–”
“Eddie!” You punch his arm, cheeks feeling hotter than before as you shake your head at him.
Steve and Robin stare at you both in disbelief.
“No, I swear. They kicked us out cause we were too loud,” Eddie says proudly, while you continue shaking your head.
“And you will get kicked out a second time if you don’t keep quiet,” Robin points at him with a glare.
Steve laughs, shaking his head as he brings up his drink to his lips.
“Time to use the ball gag, baby,” Eddie smirks.
Steve chokes on his beer, eyes widening at Eddie’s words.
“Jesus fucking christ, Eddie!” You gasp, burying your face in your hands.
Robin laughs loudly, throwing her head back.
“God damn,” Steve coughs, furrowing his brows at you. “I thought you were a good girl, Dolly.”
Eddie snorts at that, looking over at Steve to see him smirking.
You glare at them both, but you can’t even hide how flustered you are.
“Robin, help me out.”
“No, I’m having too much fun here.”
Rolling your eyes, you push Eddie’s arm off and get up with a sigh, “I need another drink,” you mumbled under your breath as you leave the living room in a haste. You hear their snickers even when you enter the kitchen, you can hear Eddie saying something that makes Steve groan and Robin laugh even harder.
You shake your head but a smile tugs at your lips.
You reach for the handle on the fridge when your eyes fall on the picture next to the many magnets. Your smile transforms into a softer one. It’s an old picture of Steve and you.
You remember that day, it was his birthday, his sixteenth birthday. His dad had gotten him the BMW. The moment he had gotten those keys, you grabbed your polaroid camera, you wanted to take a picture of him and his new car but Steve had pushed the camera into his mom’s hands and asked her to take a picture of the two of you in front of his new ‘baby’.
You were still best friends at that time. Steve's arm was wrapped around your shoulder, you were wearing a cardigan that was way too big for you, it hid the pretty dress you were wearing underneath. You looked so happy in that picture and so did he. You were smiling into the camera but Steve was looking at you with a big smile on his face, eyes that were still shining with happiness and love.
“You looked so small standing there in your cardigan.”
You flinch, looking back in surprise.
Steve is leaning against the doorway, looking at you.
“You scared me,” you chuckle, putting your hand on your chest.
“I’m sorry,” he smiles as he walks into the kitchen. “My mom gave me this picture when I moved out.”
“Oh, that’s where it was!”
He nods.
“Yeah. I remember how excited I was to go for a drive and forced you into the passenger seat,” he says, chuckling at the memory. “She put that picture into an album.”
You smile, looking down.
“You ever miss those days?” He asks, leaning against the kitchen counter with his arms crossed. “When we just got into high school, we'd just drive around, listen to music, go to the movies..”
“Eat junk food, gossip about the bad hair styles in the magazines,” you add, laughing.
“Exactly,” he nods.
“Yeah, sometimes. Cause back then things were simple and we were just teenagers who still lived in that safe little bubble.”
“Yeah,” he sighs but he smiles at you.
“I kinda miss talking shit about bad hairstyles,” you laugh.
He nudges your shoulder with his, “hey, we can still do that. I mean with the addition of Eddie and Robin now,” he chuckles as his eyes soften. “Eddie is… kinda.. cool now. I think we’ll get along better now.”
Your gaze softens, eyes shining with happiness.
“That’s all I wanted,” you whisper.
You wanted your best friend back in your life and you wanted your other best friend, your boyfriend to get along with him. But you knew that it might not ever be possible, because sometimes, time changes nothing – you hope that it did in this case, though.
“You know, I’m kinda excited to have you as my neighbor.”
Your eyes flash with surprise, your lips twitch. You weren’t sure how he would actually feel about this, having you and Eddie as his neighbors.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I can bother you all day now,” he smirks. “And Eddie too. I’ll blast pop music every night.”
A laugh falls from your lips, “don’t mess with Eddie, he will come over with his guitar,” you chuckle. “His electric guitar.”
He snorts.
“I’m not even kidding,” you giggle as you think about all the performances Eddie had given to you – sometimes wearing nothing but boxers while you laid in bed, watching him with a smile on your face.
“I believe you,” he chuckles. “It’s Eddie we’re talking about, he always loved his dramatic performances.” He refers to all the speeches your boyfriend had held on the lunch tables in the cafeteria.
“He really did.”
Steve watches the way your eyes glow with love as you think back to the times where you and him would watch Eddie jump around on the lunch tables. Had someone told him back then, that Eddie would end up being your boyfriend and he your ex boyfriend, he would probably have had a mental breakdown over it or maybe he would have laughed, not believing that you would end up with a metalhead instead of him.
When you left, he spent a lot of time wondering what would have happened if he never left you.
Would you have still met Eddie?
Would you have been the one to leave him the way he left you for her?
Was everything supposed to go this way because you and Eddie were always meant to be together?
So many what if’s had haunted him for a long time after you left but not anymore.
He made peace with everything, a long time ago.
He loves you, he always will.
You will always have a special place in his heart as he will have one in yours.
And seeing you so happy and in love with Eddie, doesn’t fill him with pain anymore, it fills him with joy because this is what you deserve – to love and to be loved ten times more.
And even if his wishes from the past didn’t come true, he is still happy because even after everything, you came back and he gets to have you in his life again.
You still wear his locket and he still wears your wristband – you are still special to each other, you are still best friends.
You left behind your first love but you never left your friendship behind.
“You know, I was a little worried that you forgot about me,” you tease him.
His eyes flash with sadness, a soft smile appears on his face as he takes your hand in his.
“I could never forget you, Dolly,” he whispers, squeezing your hand. “You’re my best friend.”
A breathy laugh falls from your cherry red lips, your bangs fall in front of your eyes as you look down for a moment.
“You’re my best friend too, Stevie,” you whisper, looking back up.
You both smile at each other, eyes filled with happiness and a love that you carried for one another as kids.
As you stand there and look at one another, you know that everything is okay now, everything is good.
There is no sadness between you both anymore, no tears, no pain, no heartbreak.
You’re both okay.
You’re both happy.
This love will last forever.
He lets go of your hand and brings it up to your face, pinching your cheek as 10 year old Steve would do.
“Come on, Dolly,” he teases, laughing when you swat his hand away, just like 9 year old Dolly would do. “I’ll race you to the living room.”
You roll your eyes at the cocky smirk on his face as he starts to walk backwards.
“You know I’m faster than you.”
“Oh, are you?” He chuckles.
“Yes, I am.”
Before Steve can even react, you move past him and push him back a little before you run out of the kitchen, laughing loudly when he groans.
He runs after you, reaching for your elbow but you push his hand off and bolt into the living room.
“Eddie, help!” You giggle.
Your boyfriend straightens up, watching you with an amused look on his face as you run past Robin and hide behind the lovechair.
“No, help me! She plays dirty!” Steve exclaims.
“Is that true, sweetheart?” Eddie smirks, his brown eyes flashing with mischief as he stands up.
You shake your head, pouting.
Eddie chuckles at that, moving towards you, while Steve walks towards you on the other side.
Your lips part as you watch them, eyes widening when they glance at each other with smirks on their faces.
“You’re teaming up on me!? You’re my boyfriend, you’re supposed to protect your princess!” You giggle as you start walking backwards. Glancing at Robin who watches the three of you in amusement while Ozzy sits on her lap, looking between the three of you.
“Are you good princess or bad princess, right now?”
Steve furrows his brows, looking over at your boyfriend, “why do I have a feeling that this means something dirty?”
“Because it is,” Robin gags.
You and Eddie smirk at each other – but your smirk quickly falls when Eddie suddenly lunges forward, you turn around, trying to run but he wraps his arms around you, picking you up with ease, “got ya, baby,” he whispers in your ear and kisses your shoulder and then your neck, making you giggle softly.
“She’s definitely bad princess, right now.” Steve snorts.
Eddie pulls you back towards the couch, holding you tightly as his fingers dig into your waist, making you squirm beneath his touch.
“Well, I captured the bad princess,” Eddie jokes, murmuring into your hair.
You giggle, your heart fluttering at the feeling of his hands on your skin. You place your hands over his, laughing when he pulls you down on the couch with him.
“Hold on tight to her,” Steve chuckles, smiling at Eddie.
Eddie tightens his grip on you in response, smiling when you turn around to face him, your smile mirroring his. His heart flutters in his chest – just the way yours does as you look into your boyfriends beautiful eyes.
“I always will.”
Robin looks between you and Eddie with a smile on her face. A strand of Eddie’s hair gets stuck on your eyelash, making you both laugh when he tries to pull it away. She looks up at Steve, he watches the two of you and for a moment, Robin fears that old wounds will be ripped open again, that even after two years, she will have to hold him again while he cries because he won’t ever get you back the way he had you before – but, the smile on his face isn’t faked, it’s very real and it isn’t a sad one.
“Hey Steve?”
Steve tears his eyes away from you and looks at Eddie.
“Yeah?”
“Do you wanna watch Pretty in Pink with us?”
Robin laughs, watching Steve’s face contort into annoyance.
“No!”
Eddie and you giggle at the look on his face.
“Anything but Pretty in Pink!”
“Anything?” Eddie raises his brows.
“Yeah.”
“But what if I wanna watch Pretty in Pink with you, Stevie?” You pout.
“Yeah,” Eddie chuckles, cupping your cheeks with one hand, he squishes them slightly. “Can you really say no to that cute face?”
He sighs, tilting his head as he looks at you.
“I can already tell, you two are gonna be menaces, even more so than Robin and Chrissy!”
Robin scoffs, rolling her eyes at Steve.
“Nah,” Eddie shakes his head, letting go of your cheeks, he pulls you closer. “You’re gonna love us.”
Steve sits down on the loveseat, smiling when Ozzy jumps out of Robin’s lap and runs towards him, he leans down and picks him up when he sits down by his feet. He pulls the kitten into his lap, letting him snuggle against his chest.
“Will I?” Steve asks, frowning playfully.
“Oh yeah,” Eddie chuckles, kissing your cheek.
“You definitely will, Stevie.”
You lay your head on Eddie’s shoulder and you look around, happy to be in a room with your favorite people. Excitement lingers inside of you, to be back here with Eddie, to settle in for good this time, to see your friends again – to see Eddie and Steve getting along, to see Robin and Chrissy together again, to hang out with Heather and Argyle again.
You place your hand over Eddie’s left hand, playing with the silver band on his finger – the one that matches your own, the one you put on each other’s fingers that one night in Vegas.
And you look around the room again, the conversation as trivial as possible. Your boyfriend and your best friend getting along – when two years ago this would have never happened.
It’s happiness, pure and absolute happiness and you are hoping that it will stay that way.
“Dolly, tell Eddie that Fleetwood Mac is superior to Iron Maiden, please!” Steve says with a smile, and you can’t even answer as you feel your eyes burn slightly from the joy your heart is feeling.
Yes.. now you are sure that this happiness will linger forever.
Like a tattoo.

A/N: Hi everyone! I’ve unintentionally taken a hiatus from here, and I’ve been working on this for longer than I care to admit. Just something I thought about one day, and wanted to bring a snippet of to life. There’s not much editing I’ve done beyond read it over and over and then close it and work on something else so…bear with me.
Warnings: piv sex, oral (f receiving), Joel’s got a big dick, some dirty talk
Word Count: 1.2k
There’s something about the cold weather and Joel.
His cheeks reddened, his eyebrows pulled down over his eyes in an attempt to brace for the cold. His hands become rougher, red and cracked at his knuckles as they catch on the fabric of his sweater and brush against his jeans when he wipes away the work from outside.
His breath comes out in large white puffs, circling his head and curling around his ears like how his hair does after a shower. His fingers curl into his palms to try and warm them up unsuccessfully while he remains outside.
But it makes him all the more happy to come inside and see you.
The way he sheds off his jacket, letting the warmth of the fireplace consume him while his boots kick off and begin to drip with remnants of snow.
The way he shuffles in wool socks across the tile of the kitchen floor to where you’re standing, those same cracked knuckles coming into view as his fingers wrap around the hot mug of coffee in your grasp.
The way he smiles when you tut over the dry skin, wanting to repair his hands before he presses his chapped lips to your smooth ones.
The way he holds back a laugh when you’ve forgotten what you were saying, staring up at him with doe eyes and parted lips. His hand comes up to run his cooled thumb against your chin, tilting you up into him again and pressing his tongue into yours.
He’s quick to change his pace, from slow to fast, pressing his body against yours. Joel rests his hands against the counter to cage you in, your mouth popping from his to sigh and shiver while he lets his lips trail down your throat. “Joel…” It’s quiet when you speak, barely above the sound of the water settling from the boil on the stove, the clock on the wall ticking away, the crackle of the fire in the other room.
The way he hums against your skin, humid and warm in comparison to the rest of him, has you closing your eyes and leaning your head back. You rest your hands over his, leaning further into the countertop.
He can’t stop himself from venturing further down, down, down. Lifting your shirt to kiss at the soft skin of your stomach, letting his hands stay stuck under your own. Pressed into your chest, squeezing gratefully as his tongue licks out at your skin above the waist band.
“I want you.” Is all he gruffs out, his hands slipping from under yours to work at the button of your pants. He smiles at the way you shiver when his fingers glide on your thighs, nipping at the skin lovingly.
You let him do as he wants, stripping you bare and pressing cold fingertips into your heated skin. The way his tongue peeks out and brushes against your clit, the only warm part of his body touching you, has your head lolling back and eyes closing.
Lifted to sit flat on the cold stone, rough fingers against your inner thighs, warm mouth engulfing your center. Joel groans into you, letting his mouth explore deeper into you. One hand supporting you, the other buried into his hair as you call out to him. “Joel–”
“No.” He growls, fingers digging into the supple flesh as if you could shimmy away. “I need you.” He corrects his earlier statement. “I’ve been missing you all day and–”
It’s like he’s in total distress, having spent all day out in the cold on patrol and now finally inside and warm and with you that has him going crazy and unable to look past the tunnel vision he has to your center. “Joel, please I want you inside of me.” You interrupt him, biting at your lip while stroking at his curls.
His eyes flick up, looking over your face as he breathes heavily over you. It’s frozen for a moment, until he shakes his head and swipes his tongue over you again. “After you come.”
Your eyes roll back, your protest dying in your throat as his tongue dips into your center and nose presses against your clit, again and again and again. Your fingers tighten in his hair, holding on for as long as you can until his humming of pleasure has you tipping over the edge.
When he finally pulls away from you, chin and mustache slick with your release and ushering you still naked into the living room where the fire crackles louder, you watch him. His cheeks are still red, but now from his blood pumping heavily through his veins. The puffs of air are invisible against your skin as he lays you down on the rug in front of the fireplace, murmuring that he “can’t wait” and “needs you now.”
The way he pulls the sweater over his head, unbuttoning the flannel beneath and shedding it like his coat earlier before smiling smugly at you. “What?” He chuckles, letting his fingers come down and grab just above your knees, maneuvering you to be spread in front of him.
You shake your head, embarrassment flooding your system and heating your skin. “Nothing. You’re just…” You trail off, your fingers unconsciously reaching forward to run through the trail of hair at his belly button.
He hums, his cheeks heating in his own shyness, his jeans popping open and resting half way down his thighs. He leans forward, his head tilted down to watch himself as the head of his cock presses at your opening.
Your hand stays planted at his stomach, resting gently but unable to move away as your own chin is tilted down to watch as he slides in easily. The initial stretch is always a bit shocking, an inhale of breath as his head snaps up to look at you and gauge your reaction. “You’re okay, shhh, good.” He coos, tilting his hips back and pressing forward again as he wraps your legs around him. “That’s it, I can feel you baby. You feel me? How hard I am for you?”
“Yes.” You breathe, digging your fingers into his arms. He grunts, happily pulling back and pressing into you again and setting a pace that has you both begin to wonder if you should still be in front of the fireplace.
The way Joel begins to lose himself, burying his head in your neck and grunting, groaning, gripping your legs tighter and tighter until he can’t hold back any longer. His hips continue to rock back and forth, his body breaking out in a sweat at his orgasm.
It’s only when he lifts his head from your neck to look at you again that he sees your smile, his own grin stretching wide. “All warmed up?” You ask somewhat breathlessly, biting at the inside of your cheek to hold in a laugh.
Joel hums in that way that tells you he knows you’re being funny, pressing a peck to your lips. “Very, might stay here for the rest of the night.”
You groan, smacking his shoulder and letting your laugh bubble out of you. There’s something about the cold weather and how horny it makes Joel.

Tumblr media
‘One look, dark room, meant just for you. Time moved too fast you play it back. Buttons on a coat, light-hearted joke, no proof, not much but you saw enough. Small talk, he drives, coffee at midnight. The light reflects, the chain on your neck. He says, "Look up" and your shoulders brush. no proof, one touch, but you felt enough’
Beige rough detailing ran over walls, warm air flooded the space as couples and friends — even families walked around. The shadows of each item showcased cascading down onto the floor.
The room was lit dimly by warm yellow lights that strayed from overly intricate chandeliers. The only sound was quiet mumbles and soft conversation from the people surrounding, gentle voices as if anything too loud may break one of the valuables.
Your eyes danced over a painting that hung on the wall, your eyes skimming over minor details as the a-ray of warm and cool toned blues and purples covered the canvas. What had given you the idea to come to the museum alone? You weren’t sure.
Maybe the need for distraction, or perhaps a break from the real world that seemed all too busy lately. Time seemed slower between the beautifully structured walls. Everything seemed delicate, and softer than the harsh of the world outside this building.
You walked around for a while before finding your way into a room that others crowded into. It was dark, apart from a few blue lights that came from under a table in the middle of the room. You weren’t sure what you were looking at — you also weren’t sure you cared when your eyes lifted and your mind grew empty of any thought.
There was a moment where your eyes just danced over the side of his face, the curve of his nose and lining of his jaw. Overgrown hair dragging down his forehead. Then his head turned and his eyes met yours.
Of course you would see Spencer. Of course the one time you decide to go out by yourself, to a place so beautiful. You would see him.
He fit right in, suit jacket over his shoulders, tie buried under a sweater vest. He was as beautiful as the architecture around you, looking as delicate as the items being showcased. You were sure outside of this room his dark suit and hair would contrast the beige elegance of the walls.
His eyes filled with something, a secret language that lingered between the two of you in the air. Almost a greeting but not quite. A soft smile lined his lips. The side of his face glowing different hues of blue as he stood in line with the table.
A year. It had been just over a year since JJ’s wedding. A year since you saw Spencer last. A year since a promise was made and broken between the two of you.
Three years since your world shifted and never quite found its balance again.
You smiled at him, before your gaze dropped down to the table but any idea you had of focusing on the sight before you disappeared as your mind filled with him.
Everyone around you and their gentle whispers of appreciation fell into silence for you. Everything besides him becoming a blur as you separated yourself from the reality of the world around you and back into the made up fairy tail in your head.
You spent a lot of time trying to grasp the fact that you had seen him, you had been given an opening a year ago, and you had failed to take it for what reason? You couldn’t name one now even though you were sure at the time you had one.
The room seemed warmer with his presence in it. Not uncomfortably warmer, not too warm but sort of like a hug in the dark of the night or the feeling of cold hands against a fresh cup of coffee.
When the crowd began to dwindle away from the room towards the exit, you followed. That until you heard the gruff of the familiar voice behind you.
“Hey stranger.” It seemed ironic really. His choice of words.
You turned on your heels, eyes meeting his. “Hi Spencer.” You breathed out. People walked around the two of you. Maybe you got a few looks but none that gained either of your attention.
He paused slightly — one thing you weren’t expecting was awkwardness. You and Spencer had never been awkward, a year ago you fell back into rhythm after a few shared words. Now it seemed different, the air seemed thicker.
“You uh.. You never called.” He said, his voice hesitant to bring it up. You almost wished he didn’t. You partly enjoyed the ignorance you both had chose to live in at the wedding, that everything was okay, that everything was normal and that maybe it would work.
You shifted slightly on your feet, hands coming to fidget with the sleeves of your knitted sweater, that blended in with the neutral tones around you. You thought back to the night of the wedding, his whispered repetition.
‘Don’t be a stranger’ He had said the same thing when the two of you broke up. You had assumed he was aware of that. You assumed he understood what his words indicated based off your history.
They were less of a, ‘hey! call me!’ and more of a, ‘i’m sorry about what happened and the fact things are different’ They were three years ago, and they were a year ago.
“I didn’t know you were serious.” You admitted. Your mind began to dwell on every word said since. His greeting. Was that as meaningful as his whispered words.
Stranger. He greeted you as a stranger and although you were aware of the common saying and reasoning behind it for everyone else. Now, knowing he was serious about his whole ‘don’t be a stranger’ thing, you wondered if they held a heavier implication of what had happened between you two — or what hadn’t.
His eyebrows knitted together in confusion as he waited a moment before he spoke. He cleared his throat, “I was..” He mumbled, his hands rubbing against the sides of his suit jacket for a moment before dangling by his sides.
You weren’t sure what to say. “I didn’t know.” You settled on. He let out a huff, a hum of acknowledgment before he looked around. The room was now void of others. Leaving you and him alone in the blue lit room.
“You know um- Blue lights actually help elevate brain function and boots alertness— Which um, I could feel someone looking at me. I wasn’t expecting to be you but I’m glad at it was.” He mumbled out and your heart warmed at the familiarity of his beautiful brain.
Your cheeks too warmed, when he brought up the fact he had noticed your eyes on him. You wondered if it was really because of the alertness that the lighting produced or more the fact that your eyes were filled with such heavy emotion the strength of your gaze was unavoidable. You didn’t know if the human brain was that aware, and while you were sure Spencer would, you decided against answering.
“You’re alone.” You stated, brain fogged.
He let out a slight chuckle as he nodded, eyes running down the features of your face. “So are you.” He stated in the same sort of tone. Wondering what your point was, and you weren’t sure you had one.
“I was observing.” You mumbled out, a defensive for your random statement. His lips parted as they tugged into a smile.
He tilted his head slightly, “You’re beautiful.” He said. Your eyes widened momentarily. He snorted at your reaction as your lips parted in lack of a response. What were you suppose to say when your heart felt like it was being squeezed of all life.
There was new something in the air around you. Something similar in the look in his eye and the gentleness of his smile, the same something fluttering around in your stomach.
“I thought we were observing.” He mumbled out, shrugging simply.
You huffed at his quick wit and the light hearted playfulness. It made the air feel less heavy of history. A smile on your lips as you shook your head. You looked behind you, over your shoulder at the door before your gaze returned to Spencer.
“Do uh.. Would you want to walk around with me? Would that be weird?” You asked, almost half terrified of what his response might be. All too aware of the fact he could laugh in your face and turn away — although you knew deep down he wouldn’t.
He smiled, “Id like that.” He mumbled softly. His eyes staying on yours. The two of you stayed in the same position for a moment, just looking at one another. Your eyes having a conversation of their own, before you let out a soft laugh and dropped your head, turning to walk away, he followed.
You found yourselves walking beside one another. No words shared really. There was no pressure to talk about what had happened a year ago, or two years before that. There was no underlying tension or bitterness.
You stopped in front of a large painting that took up the space on a plain wall. Having the entirety of the space to itself. The canvas was covered by greens and cool toned browns, causing the pink of the flower to stand out.
“Do you know what flowers they are?” Spencer asked, his eyes never leaving the painting as he stood beside you. Your eyes ran along the details of the artwork. Taking in every inch of it.
You nodded, “Lotus. It’s a lotus pond.” You mumbled out as you recognised the flower. He hummed in acknowledgment and recognition. A sort of validation you didn’t know you craved until you received it.
“Lotus flowers normally represent new beginnings. Lotus ponds symbolise beauty and growth. A lot of people believe that they are very spiritual and can represent rebirth and resurrection.” He mumbled out, you were silent for a moment as you listened to him talk.
Your eyes flickered to his for a moment, his gaze shifted to you. There was a shared glance, a weight lifted. Then you both as if in unison turned back to the painting. Admiring it in silence, appreciating one another’s presence without the distribution of conversation.
There was a lot to be said but none of it seemed important when his shoulder brushed against yours momentarily. You didn’t pull your gaze away from the painting, neither did he. The silence spoke a million words, the gentle touch, a million more.
There was an announcement over the speakers of the museum causing a damp in the quiet appreciation from the people around you. It was an alert that in half an hour they would be closing in half an hour. You hadn’t realise it had gotten that late.
Spencer turned to face you. You saw it in your peripheral vision but you kept your gaze on the painting wordlessly. His eyes lingered on the side of your face before he spoke, breaking the warm silence that wrapped around the two of you like a bubble away from the outside world.
“Im glad you’re a stranger.” He started, which caused your eyebrows to furrow as you turned your head towards him, a flicker of offensive covering your features for a moment before he laughed and shook his head.
“No- I didn’t- Not like that. Just- We were so young and everything was new and exciting and I felt so much- I feel so much for you. That never changed even if we have. I want to know who you are now. I want to learn everything new about you.” He said. His voice was quiet as if he was trying to keep that warm bubble around the two of you.
Any offence you felt disappeared within seconds. Your heart tightened in your chest at his sweet words. The recognition that things were indeed different, that you both had changed and that they wouldn’t be the same as they were all those years ago.
And that it didn’t have to be a bad thing.
“I’d like that.” You exhaled out. He smiled, and so did you.
He looked around for a moment, breaking the eye contact. The secret language shared between glances you learnt all those years ago, before he turned his gaze back to you. An almost playful look in his eyes.
“Hi. Im Spencer Reid. I’d shake your hand but a lot of germs are spread through hand shaking — not that i think you have germs, well everyone has germs— I um.. I think you’re really pretty and I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometime”
Your eyes widened at his ramble. You recognised it. The same way he had approached you five years ago in a cafe. You were partly shocked he remembered it off by heart, he was more nervous back then.
You snorted, unable to take the situation seriously. A wide smile on your lips as you attempted to play along through half hidden laughter. “Hi Spencer.” You re-introduced yourself, “I’d love to go out with you sometime.”
He smiled, the same sort of smile on his lips that was on yours. His gaze held yours. Everything was different between now and then, the look in his eye then was full of anxiety and awkwardness, doing anything to avoid your gaze.
Now, his eyes stayed on yours and were full of nothing but pure admiration and love.
Maybe not everything was different.

Let the Whole World See - A Togame x Reader Fanfic
Your boyfriend Togame convinces you to go on a date with him while wearing a very short skirt and no underwear.
Smut. 18+. Fem Reader. Togame is in his mid 20’s. Exhibitionism. Humiliation. Oral sex. Slightly rough. Public sex. Public nudity.
Tumblr media
“Jo!” you whine, trailing close behind your boyfriend, rubbing your thighs together nervously.
Togame invited you on a date to the park, saying you could take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors. It sounded romantic so you happily agreed, not realizing you’d end up like this.
He even bought you a new outfit, picking it out himself. You were surprised by how cute the outfit turned out to be - a white tennis style skirt and a pale pink sweater that bares your midriff. He also bought white over the knee socks to wear with it. Supposedly he got help from a friend of a friend from the other side of town. You appreciate the effort he put into this day, but you’re starting to think it was more for him than for you.
Because he insisted you wear no underwear, and the skirt is far too short.
A few weeks ago, only a few days after you started dating, he told you about his exhibitionism kink. Your initial reaction was that there was no way this would work out. You’re extremely shy, and you told him so. He’d only smiled and said, “That’s what makes it so hot.”
The comment turned you on, and since then you’ve been wanting to try indulging his kink at least once. So today is the day. You agreed to this setup, of walking in public with him in a short skirt with no panties on.
He chose a place with hardly any people. It’s a weekday, at a time when students are in school and most adults are at work. And with the weather getting cooler, the park is nearly abandoned. He said he wants to ease you into this.
But it’s still nerve wracking! Earlier you passed a lady jogging, and you’re very aware that there could be other people in the park. You keep tugging the skirt down, terrified a breeze will blow it up.
Togame notices, and takes one of your hands in his. “Just relax,” he says. “Look how pretty the leaves are.”
He doesn’t understand. Part of your discomfort is from the fact that you’re very aroused right now. The cool air passing between your legs, the friction of your thighs, the thought that anything could go wrong and a random passerby could get an eyeful… all of it is getting to you.
By the time you stop in front of a bench, your face feels hot and your skin is flushed, never mind the wetness that is just starting to drip down your thighs.
Togame stands facing you, smiling in his easy going way as he watches you blush. “Do you trust me?” he asks.
You look up at him, your eyes shifting about nervously before settling on his. “Yes, I trust you, Jo.”
He leans down and gives you a quick kiss on your cheek. “Good,” he says before squatting down in front of you. His warm hands move up your thighs, pulling your skirt up and exposing your glistening pussy. You shudder at the cool air, and give a little squeak of protest, trying to pull the skirt back down. What if someone sees?
“Is this too much?” he asks, looking concerned. “We can go back to my place or-“
“N-no! I want to do this. I just got a little scared,” you say, moving your hands from your skirt. You trust your boyfriend with your life, but you’re not so sure about whoever else might be lurking in the park.
He smiles again, pushing your skirt back up and pressing a kiss to your bare pussy, sending a shiver down your spine. Then, he pulls your whole skirt down to your ankles. You gasp, realizing this leaves you totally exposed. You’re so stunned you can barely react as he helps you step out of the skirt, wads it up, and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket.
“Jo! What if someone walks by?!” you demand, coming to your senses. You couldn’t just quickly put your skirt back down like when he was holding it up. With it in his pocket, you don’t even have access to it, and your sweater is way too short to cover anything, no matter how much you pull it. Togame has complete control in this situation.
And you’re so turned on you can hardly stand it.
Togame stands back up and wraps his arms around you, the sensation of his clothes against your bare lower half making you feel giddy. And you notice something: a big, prominent bulge in his pants. He’s looking down at you as he says, “Can you take care of this for me?”
You nod, starting to sink down to your knees, but he stops you.
“Not on your knees,” he says. “Squat.”
Squat? Like this?! You know that would put you in an extremely lewd position, but if it makes your boyfriend happy, you’re willing to try. So you lower yourself down, squatting, your legs automatically spreading apart. You can feel your juices dripping out of you and onto the concrete of the stone walking path below you as Togame pulls the front of his pants down low enough to free his thick cock.
You’ve sucked him off before, but not in public, and not while trying to balance on your high heels in a squat that’s already straining your leg muscles. So you don’t waste any time taking him into your mouth, your tongue burying itself in his leaky tip. You’re trying to get him off as fast as possible, before someone walks by or your legs give out. You pull out all the stops, deep throating him, letting your drool and spit cover him, licking his shaft bottom to top, suckling his balls, even using your hand to stroke him when he’s not halfway down your throat.
He’s breathing hard, making light grunts and groans as his fingers lace through your hair. You start to lose your balance, your head lurching forward and causing you to nearly swallow him. “Fuck, you’re being so good for me today,” he says as your hands move to his hips to hold yourself steady.
You can feel his cock twitching, and you know he’s close. You know how this usually ends too, how he likes to do it. His hand on your head presses you further onto him, and once he’s so far down your throat you can’t breathe, he shoots his load right down your neck. You swallow quickly, wanting all of it. Even as he’s pulling out of your mouth, your lips are still sucking out the remaining drops.
He helps you to your feet, his face a bit pink and his breathing still a little erratic. Then suddenly he pushes you behind him and turns his back to you. “Don’t move,” he says, and soon you find out why.
“Hey, Togame!” you hear a voice say casually.
You don’t recognize the voice, but it’s clearly one of his friends. Oh god, they’re going to see you like this! Your lower half is completely exposed, your pussy is dripping noticeably down your legs, and Togame’s cum is probably on your lips. You have no choice but to stand perfectly still behind Togame’s back, one hand clutching his jacket while the other vainly tries to cover your pussy.
“Hey,” your boyfriend says back. “What are you doing out here?”
“Just taking a walk. Are you out here alone?” the voice asks.
Oh no. Can he see your legs behind Togame’s?
Togame chuckles. “No, I’m with my girlfriend.”
“Oh? Is that her behind you?”
Togame shifts slightly, probably to keep blocking view of you as his friend tried to look. “She’s really shy, so I’ll introduce you some other time.”
“O-okay,” the voice replies shakily, and you wonder what sort of look Togame gave him to make his voice quiver like that. “I’m heading back now. See you later.”
After a few more seconds, Togame sighs and turns to face you. “Sorry about that. He’s gone. I understand if you wanna go back now,” he says, reaching into his pocket to get your skirt.
You put a hand on his arm to stop him. “Wait… I’m unsatisfied,” you say, shyly looking at the ground.
He tilts your face up to look at him. “Really? Then I guess I better satisfy you.”
Togame flops down on the bench and pulls you backwards into his lap, so that you’re facing away from him. Then his hands are on your thighs, pulling them apart. You rise up enough for him to slide his pants down a little, and when you feel his fully hard cock against your skin, you use your hands to line it up with your entrance and then sink down, taking him all the way inside your wet, needy hole.
You hiss at the stretch, but love the feeling of fullness only his huge cock can provide. His hands stay firmly on your legs, holding you open for all the world to see as you begin riding him, bouncing up and down on his shaft.
Your breaths are hitching, quick, sharp little moans and whines escaping you as you fuck yourself on his cock. His hands are hot and strong on your thighs as he leans his face close to your ear and says, in that maddeningly calm voice, “Someone could walk by any second and see this, see your slutty pussy gushing around my cock.”
“Jo… Jo… I can’t… I can’t stop!” you cry out, clenching around him, your hands gripping the fabric of his pants beneath you.
He reaches around with both hands and pulls your sweater up, exposing your breasts, letting them bounce freely with your movements. “It’s okay,” he says into your ear, “I want people to see. Let everyone see how well you take me, how deep I can fuck this little pussy. I want everyone to watch you cum, so they’ll know I’m the only one who can make you moan like this.”
One of his hands slides down, his fingers rubbing your spread folds, finding your swollen, tender clit and giving it a pinch that makes you scream in pleasure. There on the park bench, where anyone could see or hear, you cum with a loud cry, sinking down as deeply as possible on Togame’s cock.
As you ride out your mind blowing orgasm, you swivel your hips, leaving him plunged deeply inside you. His hands are on your tits now, squeezing them gently. Suddenly his grip on them tightens, and you hear him grunt as he cums again, filling you absolutely full.
When you finally climb off him, your legs are wobbly. He pulls up his pants, and just then you hear voices. “Jo, my skirt!” you say, and he hurries to pull it out of his pocket and help you step back into it. Just after you pull it up, you see his friend Choji and a few other guys coming around the bend. Choji spots the two of you and runs over.
“Hey, are you guys here on a date?” he asks, looking excited. You hope to god he doesn’t notice how hard you’re clamping your thighs together, trying not to let Togame’s cum drip out of you.
“Yep, just the two of us,” Togame says, putting an arm around you.
Choji laughs and slaps Togame’s back playfully, though it looks a little too hard to you. “I get it! We’ll leave you alone. Have fun!”
As they walk away, you and Togame both sigh in relief. Then he grins. “That was a close one, huh? Let’s go find a restroom.”
You nod, suddenly feeling shy again. You can’t believe you had sex in public!
Togame takes hold of your hand, leading you along. “Next time, let’s try something a little more daring. Maybe a place with more people.”
“What?!” you yell, shocked by the prospect. But you can’t deny that the thought made you a little horny. Maybe this would all work out after all.

Christmas Day is here before you know it as the cool air blows against your crimson sweater. It sinks through your denim jeans as you make your way back into the house, back to where Joel and Sarah sit in the living room. A football game is playing over the flat screen, and glistening lights flash against the huge tree that sits in the corner of the room.
Snowflakes tap lightly against the glass as your dad gives your mom the last of her gifts, your eyes flicking over to Joel as he leans into the back of the leather couch, a smile curled against the corner of his mouth as he steals glances your way every few seconds.
God, his smile gets you every single time, making butterflies flit through your stomach as you take in the brown doe eyes that you can’t seem to keep your eyes off. You just can’t believe he’s yours. Something he reminds you every single day.
You cling to the fleece blanket Joel gifted you, twisting your fingers against the soft material, bathing in the woodsy scent that sticks to it. And let’s not forget the Metallica concert tickets he got you, winking when your dad asked who you were taking. Joel fucking Miller, that’s who. Your man. Yours.
He’s wearing the new hunter green flannel you got him, the material clinging against his broad shoulders, biceps hugging the sleeves as you try not to drool in your spot because the man just looks so damn good.
You want to sit in his lap, rake your fingers through his greying curls, let his lips brush against yours while his large hands pull you flush to his strong chest, let his woodsy scent completely lather you as you get lost in this plush lips, fingers scraping over his soft scruff. You just want him.
“Hey, Sarah. Wanna go over to the Silverton’s for a few minutes with Claire and I?” Your dad asks as Sarah bounces off the couch, excited to visit because they always make her favorite chocolate chip cookies.
“Heck yeah! Dad, wanna come, too?” she asks as her long hair swishes behind her shoulders, her sparkling eyes finding yours after she calls your name a second later.
Joel flicks his brown eyes your way and shakes his head. “Nah, you go on, kid. Gonna stay back this time.”
She looks between the two of you and snickers, knowing exactly why you both had said no. She knows, and she absolutely loves the idea of you and Joel together which makes this whole situation much easier to navigate.
“Hun, you sure you don’t wanna come?” your dad asks as he pulls his bulky winter jacket on.
You shake your head. “No, I’m fine. Just gonna sit around the fire and watch some football,” you reply, trying to hide your smile as Joel smirks your way.
“Football, huh? When did you become such a football fan?” he laughs.
You shrug your shoulders and smile. “Guess I figured it’s not too bad to watch.”
Joel shakes his head, chuckling under his breath at the memory of a few nights ago. You were sat on the edge of his bed, his cock stretching your drenched walls wide as he thrusted his hips up and down, your back flush to his broad chest as the glow of the tv played a football game you were paying no attention to, just focusing on how fucking good he felt thrusting his cock deep inside your pussy until he made you come hard and long.
“Think she figured out how hard those players play ball,” Joel smirks. You giggle at the memory and throw a fuzzy pillow over at him as he catches it before your parents can see.
“Suit yourself. See y’all in a little bit.” He waves as he rushes your mom and Sarah through the door with a present wrapped in glittery blue paper tucked snugly under his arm.
The second they’re gone, you throw your blanket off and make your way to Joel, collapsing onto the leather couch as he tucks you snuggly into his side. You slide the palm of your hand up the inside of his black shirt, resting your fingers on his warm stomach as you breathe in the smell of his woodsy cologne.
“Comfy?” he asks, chuckling as he pulls you closer into his broad body.
“Very,” you smile. He bends his head down and presses a kiss slowly to your forehead, his fingers tracing the ends of your spiral curls as you sigh at the softness that makes Joel just perfect.
   “Figured,” he chuckles.
You watch the fire crackle with orange sparks in your vision, the Christmas lights shining brightly as the tree glitters with dark green lights twinkling in the corner. It’s quiet in here, a peaceful Christmas evening, and you have Joel all to yourself for the next few minutes.
Joel runs his fingers lazily over your back, pushing your hair across your left shoulder as he trails the back of his calloused index finger over your jawline. “I, ummm, got you one more gift,” he says nervously, his free hand raking down his greying scruff.
You sit up straight and stare at him, spellbound. Another present? “Joel, what more could you possibly give me? I mean, those Metallica tickets must’ve cost you a fortune! And that fancy steak dinner you took me to? You’ve done enough,” you giggle, letting your hand fall down on his denim clad thigh.
He chuckles and shakes his head. “I know, but jus’ trust me. I think you’re gonna like this one,” he smiles as he digs deep inside the pocket of his dark jeans, pulling a light blue velvet jewelry box out as he displays it in the palm of his hand.
You open your mouth wide in shock, your index finger grazing the outside of the velvety case as your mind starts ticking like a timebomb. “What is it?” you whisper, not even recognizing the muttering voice that asks the question.
“Open it and see,” he smiles, his brown doe eyes sparkling with excitement as he hands you the tiny box.
You slowly grasp it in your palm, taking a deep breath as you carefully open the lid of the box. Your eyes grow wide when you see a silver chain necklace displayed inside, complete with a key that glints under the dim lights of the living room. You pull it out and assess it, running your fingers over the crisp edges, and then when you turn the key around you freeze.
Right there in the middle of the silver key are the words “Miller’s Girl” carved in fancy cursive, completewith a little heart to the right of the name. You freeze, your heart pounding wildly in your chest as you take in the most perfect gift he’s given you by far. “Joel…” you whisper, eyes glossing over as you think you know what this is.
He turns you toward him and leans in, a crooked smile pressed against his mouth as he looks at you with longing, syrupy eyes that make you want to just melt into a puddle on the floor. “I know you’ve been havin’ a hard time pickin’ an apartment out of all the ones we’ve looked at, but I want you to forget that. Forget every single one we’ve ever viewed, forget the paperwork, forget the costs, forget it all,” he murmurs quickly.
You drop the jewelry box on the floor without a thought in your mind, one hand latched onto the silver necklace, the other laced through his fingers, holding on to every single word he’s telling you.
“You don’t belong in any of them. You jus’ belong in my bed, in my house, with me,” he states, honey-glazed eyes locking with yours as heat builds in your chest.
“Joel…” you whisper, losing your breath as you pull yourself back together. “Are you asking me to…?”
“Yes,” he sighs, brushing a lock of hair behind your ear tenderly. “I’m askin’ you to move in with me because I jus’ can’t stand that thought of not havin’ you in my arms every single night now, sweetheart. Wanna take this a step further, if that’s what you want, too,” he smiles as he brushes the tip of his thumb over your lower lip. “Wanna see what it’s like wakin’ up to your gorgeous face in the mornings, wanna know what it’s like havin’ you in my space permanently. Move in with me.”
Your eyes glaze over with pure admiration and love for every single word Joel just spilled from his lips. You think it’s the most beautiful sound you’ve ever heard.
You throw your arms around his neck and wrap him tight in your embrace as his arms tangle around your back. “Yes, a million times yes!” you shriek, planting your lips on his as he pulls you down against his lap.
When he pulls away, he spins you around, instructing you to hold your hair up as he carefully latches the necklace around your neck. When you turn back around and face him, one hand is caressing your cheek softly while the other is curving down your personalized necklace, the literal key to his heart.
Your thumb traces over the words Miller’s Girl and end on the heart as his hand comes down to clasp around yours. “Miller’s Girl, huh?” you ask with a wide smile splayed all over your mouth.
“That’s right, sweetheart. Thought I’d get it carved on there to remind you jus’ who you belong to so you never forget,” he smiles, his glistening eyes bright and beautiful as he presses a delicate kiss to the back of your knuckles.
You giggle and shake your head in amazement, watching the absolute love of your life express just how he feels about you. It’s all so surreal, all so perfect. And you honestly think it couldn’t get much better than this.
“You really want me to move in?” you whisper as you look into those gentle brown eyes you can’t get enough of.
“I really do, sweetheart,” he smiles.
He cups your chin and brings you to his mouth slowly, and then your lips are on his. The kiss is slow, passionate as your fingers curl around his soft flannel, breathing in the woodsy cologne that makes your head dizzy.
“Never gonna let you go,” he whispers as his mouth crashes back down on yours while your arms lock around his neck, and he pulls you flush to his chest.
You get so wrapped up in the kiss that you don't hear the front door being shoved open, and then your world shifts and stops in the next second.
“What the hell is this!” your dad shouts across the room.
You frantically pull away from Joel and shoot up from the couch, clutching your necklace with wide eyes as you freeze. Oh, shit.
Joel pushes himself off the leather couch and holds a hand out. “George, I can explain,” Joel replies softly, but you can see the panic flaring in his dark brown eyes.
“Can you explain why you have your mouth and your hands all over my daughter?!” he yells angrily as his roar echoes around the vicinity of the house. Sarah looks between you and Joel and wishes she could help; your mom just stands there with her hand on her chest like she can’t believe this is happening.
Joel takes a deep breath and sighs. “Jus’ cool it, George. I can explain.”
Your dad cuts Joel’s voice off and shoves past him, snatching your wrist as he starts to drag you toward the sliding glass door. “Excuse me, I need to talk to my daughter alone. I’ll deal with you next,” he growls as he throws you outside on the patio and slams the door shut, only having it become open again as your mom slips outside.
Your blood races in your body, and you can’t stop the sheer panic that’s making your heart beat straight out of your chest. “Wanna tell me why the fuck my best friend was all over you?” he asks sternly with his big hands on his hips.
“We… we're together!” you stutter out.
“Together? You mean to tell me you two have been dating behind my back?” His eyes glow almost red, and you fight to hide behind anything to shield yourself from how mad he looks.
“Yes! We’ve been dating! Not like we could’ve told you because this is how your reaction would’ve been!”
“That don’t give you the right to be sneaking behind my back, little girl. And Joel?! For the love of god, he’s twice your age! You know how bad that looks having my best friend go after my daughter who’s still in college?” he bites out with gnashing teeth.
“I’m not a child, Dad! I’m twenty-six-years-old,” you pout while you cross your arms over your chest, feeling the bite of frigid wind blast through your sweater. “And I’m not in college. I’m in law school, which is super hard to even get into in the first place. And you know what? I’m making straight A’s! But you wouldn’t get that, would you? Because once again, you’re disregarding my accomplishments and making me feel awful about them.” You feel warm tears splash against your cheeks while your mom just stands there in shock. She wouldn’t dare interrupt when your dad is having a meltdown, but you see it in her glossy eyes that she doesn’t agree with him. Maybe she’s on your side after all.
“I’m not overlooking your accomplishments,” he scoffs as he shakes his head.
“Yes, you are! Are you hearing yourself?”
“Just cool it, kid. Enough. He’s forty-five, twice your age. What the fuck were you thinking? Did he manipulate you into this or did he just decide it was okay to screw around with my daughter?” he asks with an angry tick of his jaw.
“No, it wasn’t like that at all! Joel is a nice guy, Dad. He would never hurt me. He cares about me, just like I care about him. And I really really like him, Dad.” You catch your breath and loosen the tight grip on your necklace as it falls against your chest. That was clearly a mistake because now he sees the glint of the key, and his eyes grow furious.
“What the fuck is this?” he asks angrily as he snatches it and yanks it off your neck. You reach for it, but he swipes it away as he inspects the silver key. “Miller’s girl. The hell does he think he’s doing? Is that a key to his place? Is that why you’ve taken so long to find an apartment because you were planning all along to move in with him?!” His voice is so splattered in anger that you barely recognize the man that stands in front of you, even your mom looks taken aback with wide eyes.
“No, Dad! God, just stop! If you can’t talk to me like a normal adult, then just stop. Me and Joel are together whether you like it or not. And that’s not going to stop either of our feelings.”
“Feelings, huh? That what this is?” He scoffs, scowling down at the necklace as his thumb pierces into the metal. “You clearly don’t know anything, hun. You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.”
“But Dad, I love him!” you whine, biting your lip to keep fresh tears from slipping down your cheeks.
“Love?!” he ridicules, spitting out the word like it’s poison on his tongue. “You don’t know anything about love or Joel,” he mutters.
“No? I think I know a hell of a lot more about Joel than you do. If you really took a good look at the picture, you’d see how clearly in love me and Joel are with each other. And this is why we decided to not tell you because you just wouldn’t understand. This is why I can’t tell you anything! Because you just throw it back in my face and never support my decisions. God, just for once don’t try to fight me on the one thing I want!” You blow out a deep breath and fist your tight knuckles at your sides.
“He’s not a good fit for you,” he mumbles under his breath while his fingers tap mindlessly against your necklace.
“No? Do you know who took me to Galveston when you canceled last minute? Joel did! And who took me around to look at multiple apartments, who spent hours trying to help me find exactly what I wanted? Joel! And you know who is always there for me, who helps me study for tests in my law classes, who is there for me no matter what time of day it is? Joel, Joel, Joel! That’s who! Not you, the man who’s supposed to always be there for me but can’t be. So forgive me for falling in love with someone that could give me everything I needed when I was never given those things in the first place!”
He looks at you with his jaw ticked, his eyes red from the anger that boils inside him. And maybe you see a tad bit of sorrow and regret in his lost eyes, but he doesn’t even apologize. He just clutches the silver necklace tighter and forms his mouth in a tight line. “Hun, just let me explain,” he tries.
“Explain?” You laugh and wipe a tear from your lash line.
“Yes! Look, I know I haven’t always been there for you with work and everything. But hun, Joel is not the answer to…”
You turn sharply and cut him off, looking to your mom who just stands in the corner meekly by the sliding door with her eyes wide and mouth locked shut. “Mom, please! Back me up here?”
“George, just listen to her. Will you? You’re not hearing her,” she tries with an even breath.
“I’ve heard enough!” he barks as he turns back to you with a deep scowl on his face, obviously still very unhappy with you. But when was he ever happy with you in the first place? Almost never.
“Yeah, I’m sure you have. Because you never listen. Thanks for letting me down once again, Dad.” You brush past him without stopping for the necklace, letting the tears burn hot in your eyes as the world slowly caves in on you. You don’t even look at your mom as you rush past her, just needing to be anywhere that they’re not so you can breathe.
   Breathe. Remember how to breathe.
You sniffle and rub at your blurry eyes, and then you find Joel standing in the middle of the living room with the saddest brown eyes he’s ever given you. This just makes you cry more.
“Baby, you alright?” he asks with a shaky breath, reaching out an open hand for you as if he can take all the pain away.
“No.” You push away from his advances and knock your shoulder against his, tugging away until you’re practically sprinting for the door. You don’t stop for Sarah who’s standing in the kitchen, don’t stop for Joel calling your name in that broken tone of his, all you do is rush for fresh air where you’re alone, where you can think. But you don’t really want to be alone, do you? You just want Joel. But your dad has completely ruined that. He ruined everything.
Tumblr media
Joel feels the icy sting as your shoulder brushes past him; he sees the tears cloud your beautiful eyes as they cascade down your flawless face. He knows he’s fucked, knows your father will hate him now, but all he wants to do is pull you into his strong arms so he can hold you and tell you everything will be alright, that the two of you will be just fine. Because he’s not letting you go. No. He’ll never let you go. Not even if your father hates his guts now.
Just when he starts to turn and go to you, he feels a looming presence behind him that feels a lot like a rush of cold ice freezing him out.
“Joel, a word.” George’s deep voice fills the room, and Joel nods and walks with his head down low like he’s a puppy being scolded for making a mess on the kitchen floor.
The air feels frigid, and he digs his large hands nervously into the pocket of his jeans while he stands on the back porch and looks over to see George practically tearing him to shreds with just his predatory eyes across the way.
“How long?” His voice is clipped, and Joel shivers at the sound of that icy tone.
   “George, I…”
   “How. Long.”
“Almost seven months…” he says quietly with his head down low.
   “Jesus Christ, Joel.”
He holds up a palm and tries to explain, but his shaky breath doesn’t do him any favors. “Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t…”
“Didn’t what? That’s my daughter, Joel!” His eyes glow violent against the hue of the orange sunset that’s painted in the sky, murky clouds trying to fog over the brightness like the depths of his dark soul right now.
“I know! You don’t think I didn’t think of that before I started this whole thing?” Joel’s jaw ticks, and his thick fingers form into tight fists as he tries to stay in control.
“I don’t know, Joel. You tell me.” George narrows his eyes and crosses his arms as he waits for an explanation.
“It’s not like I planned to fall for your daughter, it just happened.”
“Why the fuck didn’t you tell me!” George slams his hand against the closed grill, and Joel sees the glimmer of your silver necklace that sits locked in his unforgiving fist. The one with the key to his heart he so casually gave you earlier. Joel’s eyes glisten with frustrated tears, but he doesn’t let a single one fall. He’s stronger than that.
“Because this is why I didn’t, why we didn’t! Because we knew you’d be pissed.” His rugged voice comes out clipped because he’s tired, so very tired of hiding his feelings. No more, he’ll lay it out thick if he has to.
“You’re damn right I’m pissed! You’ve been secretly dating my twenty-six-year-old daughter without me knowing and have been sneaking around this whole time. Hell, did anyone else know?”
“Sarah knew,” Joel says quietly as he takes a step back.
“Oh, so you tell her but not me?” George looks positively pissed, to say the least.
“I didn’t tell her, she figured it out herself. Saw us on a date, and I couldn’t cover that up. So yes, she knows. And Tommy knows, too.”
“Even better,” George chuckles. “And this? What do you have to say about this?” He clutches the silver key in his palm and stares angrily at Joel while his mouth ticks up in a deep scowl.
“That’s… I asked her to move in with me.” There’s no getting around this, so he might as well come clean. But every bone in his body tells him to grab the necklace and run out the door. He needs to make sure you’re okay. That’s the only thing that matters now.
“Move in with you! Why would you…”
“Because I love her…” His voice is soft, quiet, like he’s afraid he’ll disturb anyone that hears.
   “I don’t wanna hear—”
“George, let him talk. I want to hear this,” Claire turns and nods to him. “Go on, Joel.” Joel hesitates but gives her a tight-lipped smile and says thank you with his softening eyes.
George pinches the bridge of his nose while he waits, and Joel takes a deep breath before he speaks, letting his nerves settle before he spills it all. “She’s been so stressed tryin’ to find the perfect apartment, and nothing right was workin’. And I jus’… I’d rather her move in with me. ‘Cause I want her there, and I’d look after her and take care of her, and…”
George grunts and clenches the silver key harder, but Claire just gives him a stern look and tells Joel to continue. “Go on,” she encourages with a small smile.
Joel takes a breath and starts again. “Look, George, I never meant to fall for your daughter, but I did. And you know what? It was the best decision of my life. She’s so… she’s so kind and smart as hell. And she jus’ is the brightest ray of sunshine and lights up my entire life. And she’s so beautiful, the most beautiful woman in the world.”
Claire tears up a little in the corner, and Joel picks absentmindedly at the fringe on his flannel. He can’t help but grin as he thinks of your beautiful smile, the way you make him feel as if no one else in the world exists when you’re with him. You’re like the golden sunset that stays up just long enough to wrap him in pure warmth and sunlight, the one thing that keeps his heart pumping through his veins. You’re it for him, he thinks you always have been. He just didn’t know it till this year.
“I never thought this would happen, but it did. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Even if it meant ruining our friendship and you never forgiving me. I can’t give her up, George. I won’t. She makes me so fuckin’ happy, and I’d die before there was a day I ever hurt her. Losing her isn’t a choice for me because I love her, will continue to love her for as long as I live.”
“Joel…” Claire smiles with a gleam in her clear eyes. “You really love her?”
“Mmm. I really do. I’d do jus’ about anything for that girl. She’s so precious to me. So forgive me if I’ve spent the last almost seven months givin’ her everything I possibly could. She has my heart and always will.”
Claire shifts and wipes a stray tear from her eyes, giving him a warm smile that says she’s so happy her daughter has him. And that takes some relief off his burdened back. Now it’s just George he has to worry about.
George stares and stares at the silver necklace with knit eyebrows, contorting his features into something Joel can’t make out what it means. There’s a beat of hesitance before George looks up and stares directly into Joel’s eyes, like he’s hearing him clearly for the first time. “You really love my little girl, don’t you…” His eyes clear up, no more hatred or scowling or anything remotely hostile. They’re just awestruck.
“With all my heart,” Joel mutters through the chill of the evening.
The cold breeze slips through Joel’s tousled curls, running straight down his spine while he waits to see what will happen next. Waiting to see if his best friend will toss him overboard for the sharks to tear him to shreds, or waiting for the acceptance that it’s okay to date his daughter.
It’s like the world stops spinning, the only noise is the bated breath he’s holding while he watches his best friend flip the gifted necklace back and forth repeatedly in his palm. The silence is torture.
Finally, George looks back up and sighs before licking his bottom lip and muttering. “Here, take it.” He holds the necklace by the clasp and jangles it in front of him, edging on Joel to take it.
Joel stares at the gleaming key, reading Miller’s Girl in silver letters, the one that belongs to his girl. And when he hesitates, George shoves out his arm again, letting the necklace toss and turn in his grasp. “Take it,” he repeats, a little softer this time.
He walks forward, scuffing his shiny boots against the pavement and stops in front of his best friend, till the key is safely back in Joel’s grasp. He looks up slowly and sees George’s eyes almost tear up, but they still hold some faint hesitation in those uncertain irises.
“Look, it’s gonna take me a while to be okay with this. You’re gonna have to give me a little space to process this, but I… I give you permission to date her because… because I trust you more than any of those other clowns she’s dated. And you lookout for her, especially when I’m not around, and you obviously care a lot. And sounds like you love her a lot. So… if this ever leads to more than just moving in together and dating then… just ask me next time, but I think I’ll be okay with it.”
Joel’s eyes go wide at the words, and before he knows it he has his arms wrapped tightly around his best friend’s back in pure shock. George pounds a strong hand on Joel’s back and mumbles under his breath that that’s enough. Claire gives him a gentle smile and watches the two friends make up in peace.
“Thank you, George. For trustin’ me with your daughter.”
George shoos him away and grits his teeth together into a pressed smile. “Yeah, yeah. Jus’ go talk to your girl, Joel. Let the old man have some space for a few minutes. I need a drink,” he sighs as he heads back inside for a cold beer in the fridge.
Joel nods to Claire and then makes a beeline for the front door, knowing you're sitting out there in the cold with tears streaming down your beautiful face. He has to fix it.
Tumblr media
The sunset slowly slipping under the grey clouds doesn’t help your mood as another tear escapes down your cheek, falling to the ground with a splash as you hug your knees tighter to your chest while you lean against the front porch railing. You always knew your father wouldn’t approve, and now he’s ruined your most favorite thing in this world.
You almost miss the large figure that stands behind you until he’s kneeling down and wrapping his arms tightly around you like a warm blanket that drapes over your skin. His usual coffee scent and strong cologne showers you in a still calmness that only he brings you, and suddenly you feel like you’re home.
“Joel,” you sniffle into his warm chest, nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck while his big hands run up and down your back in soothing motions.
“‘S’alright, sweetheart. You’re okay now. I’ve got you.” His gentle tone surrounds you in a cloud of comfort, and you suddenly feel warm and light for the first time since your parents saw the two of you kiss.
“But they… my dad…” You can’t even speak clearly. Your words are all warped and clipped each time you think of how angry your dad was, how violently he ripped into your heart when all you were trying to do was tell him how much Joel meant to you. It was a disaster that was waiting to happen, and you let it.
“Hey, look at me.” He tips your chin up and brushes the next tear away that clashes against your eyelashes. “Everything’s okay now. We’re okay.”
You look at him with confusion swirling in your irises as your fingers clasps around his fuzzy flannel you love to wear so much. “We’re okay?” you whisper out in a daze.
“Mhm,” he nods as a warm smile slips over his plush mouth. He digs into the pocket of his jeans and grasps the silver chain in his palm. Your necklace.
“Think this belongs to you.” Joel opens his palm and reveals the silver key that has your name written all over it. The key that promises for a future together, your future. A life with him in it, a step before a lifetime together.
“Joel… he gave it back?” You gawk as your finger brushes against the metal, clasping your hand over his so you can feel the promise of forever in the warmth of his calloused palm.
“Mhm. It belongs to you.” He pushes it into your open palm and closes your fingers over the cold silver, letting his hand linger over yours as his warm breath invades your space.
You take a moment to register what this means, what this might promise. Did this mean your dad… Your eyes flick to his with agility, and your lips part as you exhale a long breath. “Does this mean... Did my dad…”
A smile curls against his mouth and he nods. “‘S’alright now. After I talked to him, after I explained myself, he listened. He’s okay with us, darlin’. Well, as good as he’ll be right now. Might take some time to mend our friendship back to how it was, but s’okay. We’re gonna be jus’ fine. And you and me? We’re gonna be more than fine.”
You throw your arms around Joel’s neck and sink your lips against his, letting his cinnamon taste melt into your mouth until you can taste nothing but him. He pulls you against his broad chest and strokes his calloused fingers against the back of your neck, tugging until you’re flush to him so he can ravish and serenade your mouth with the taste and feel of his warm, lush tongue.
It only takes minutes of heated passion until he pulls his lips from yours and rests his forehead against yours. You’re both out of breath, but you guess that’s how the two of you always are. Always giving your entire being to each other until the other is completely satisfied. But it’s not about that this time, it’s about finally being able to express your love for each other out in public. No more hiding from your parents, your friends, no one. It’s you and Joel against the world now, and there’s not anything you can’t conquer now.
He moves your hair across one shoulder and clasps the necklace around your neck, leaving it right where it belongs now. Yours.
“There,” he smiles as he glides his fingers over the silver key. “Right back where it belongs. Right over your heart.”
You take a moment to admire the syrupy eyes that flick to yours as you rake your fingers through his silvery scruff, dragging your nails slowly as he groans at the feel of you. “I love when you do that,” he murmurs as his thumb strokes your bottom lip delicately.
“Well, get used to it because I’m about to be living with you,” you smile.
“Mmm. I like the sound of that. You in my arms every single night? Wakin’ up to the glow of your stunning smile? Bein’ able to kiss you whenever I want, wherever I want? Yeah, I could get used to this.” His lips drag down your cheek and end on your lips softly, but then they’re gone in a flash as he traces his fingertips over the back of your hand.
“Slow mornings with freshly brewed coffee, your lips, and me curled up in your lap? Yeah, I could get used to this, too.” Your lips find his once more, and then you’re floating off in a little bubble, to a place only you and Joel know how to get to.
When his lips untangle from yours, he smiles and gives you those loving sweet eyes you never can seem to get enough of. “I love you, darlin’.”
   “I love you too, Joel.”
The evening slips by in a rush. Your parents are weirdly mellow about the whole thing, but your dad still sends a couple snarls your way when he sees you and Joel holding hands. But he surprises you when he sends you off with a hug and a kiss on the cheek before you go back to Joel’s house.
It doesn’t take him long till Joel and him are doing fishing trips, watching football games together, and going out for beers again. And you kind of love that Joel didn’t have to lose his best friend over you. No. Joel got to keep both of you, and you couldn’t help but tear up when you saw how close they were again just a month after the whole Christmas disaster. You guess some things just fall into place like you and Joel did.
You never expected to fall in love with your dad’s best friend, but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to you. And now? You’re finally free to live your life with your favorite person by your side.
You don’t know what the next year will bring or the year after, but you know Joel will be there no matter what.

Tumblr media
Geto Suguru loved summertime. He got to take trips to the beach with you and the girls, and work was less busy, and you wore shorts. Let’s rewind a bit. You rarely wore shorts, tank tops, or dresses, all because you were insecure about your body. You had a big butt, thick thighs, and a tummy that Suguru loved. He thought every inch of you was perfect. However, we’re still insecure despite that.
Suguru would always try to hype you up, telling you how beautiful you were and buying you dresses he thought would look amazing on you, but you never would cave. From fall to early spring, it was always tights and sweaters. Which you looked amazing in! You looked beautiful in a hoodie and a tank top. But your boyfriend would be lying if he said he didn’t love it when you were short and spaghetti straps.
There was something about seeing your plump skin, how your thighs rubbed together, how he could see your breasts spilling over your bra. Your tummy, your thick thighs were. Everything about you was perfection to him. Despite him telling you that on multiple occasions, you still got shy, insisting to leave your shirt on when you had sex. Of course, your boyfriend wanted to see every inch of you, but he wouldn’t push you if you weren’t comfortable doing it.
However, your insecurities melted away when the days got longer and hotter, and the sun would blaze down on you. Because in the summer heat, you wore the least clothes you could. Making your boyfriend go feral, seeing your plump, perfect body. Seeing you hardly usually played the same way it always did. You were thrown over his shoulder and getting fucked within an inch of your life. Even though you both ended up a sweaty mess afterward.
Today was the hottest day of the year thus far. It was hot and humid, making the temperature rise. Thank God he always carried an extra hair tie because sweat was running down the nape of Suguru’s neck, making him groan. The heat was almost unbearable, but the prospect of getting inside the cool apartment had his feet moving faster across the hot pavement, longing to get inside and cool off, climb the stairs, hurry towards your shared apartment, eager to see you and chug down an ice cold glass of water.
“I’m home,” he announced as he kicked his shoes off, dropping his jacket to the floor before locking the door. We need an answer into the cool apartment, looking around. “Princess?”
“In the kitchen!” Chances were, if you were in the kitchen making dinner, there was a 50-50 chance you were using the stove or oven. If either of those were involved, he knew the apartment would increase in heat. After a long day of being out in the sun, he had had enough to last the whole week.
“Hey.” Rubbing his hand at the back of his neck, he said, “Maybe we could buy something for dinner?”
He found it as chili as the rest of the apartment. “Oh, I’m not making dinner!” His eyes followed the sound of your voice, and holy fuck; you were hot.
You were standing at the kitchen island in Black booty shorts that rode up, showing the curves of your plump ass. The band of your shorts dug into your hips, making some of your spill over the edge. You were topless, literally topless, with no shirt, no bra, just a white apron hooked over your neck and tied around your waist. Seeing your bareback on full display, Suguru’s jaw was on the floor.
“I’m making some chocolate-covered strawberries.” Your thighs jiggle as you reach over the counter, grabbing a ripe red berry from a bowl. “It’s going to be a nice cold treat for later.” When there’s no response from your loving boyfriend, you turn slightly to look up at him, showing off the side of your bare breast. “Sugu?”
Before you can even register what’s going on, Suguru has you pressed against the counter, making you gasp out, as his hands quickly work to untie the apron from around your waist. His hands grip your plump hips, gripping them and massaging them eagerly, pressing his fingers into you. His lips press against your neck, nipping and licking at your skin as his hands ever so slowly trail up and over your stomach. Gently, fingers brush over the stretch marks that line your tummy before trailing up higher and higher until his hands grope your entire breasts.
The feeling of his lips against your neck, his hands groping your breasts, and the feeling of him rocking his hard erection of your ass makes you dizzy. Your fingers, speckled with chocolate, grip the edge of the counter, holding it tight for support as Suguru rolls his hips roughly against yours, his cock throbbing inside his pants. His eagerness makes your mouth go dry as you tilt your head back, giving him more room to lick and nip at your sensitive skin.
”So fucking beautiful.” Suguru grunts against your skin, causing goosebumps to rise in his messy kisses. “Princess, you’re so fucking breathtaking.”
The desperate tone in his voice leaves no doubt in your mind that he speaks the truth, from the hoarseness behind his words to the desperation in his touch. Your raven-haired boyfriend was enthralled by you, leaving you a messy bundle of limbs. Whenever he got feral like this, your mind would go blank, jaw slack as you averted from his peering eyes. Every time he would look at you, there was a raw desire that always had you squirming eagerly against him because you wanted him just as bad.
“S-Suguru—“A wanton moan passes through your lips as he twists and pulls at your sensitive nipple between his thumb and index finger. “W-What’s gotten into you, baby?”
The twisting assault on your sensitive buds comes to a stop as Suguru somehow manages to pull his mouth away from your neck. “What’s gotten into me?” His warm, calloused hands leave your breasts, tugging the apron off completely before turning you around to face him. “You.” His hands are on your hips again, lifting you onto the kitchen island and sitting you on the cool marble counter.
Like clockwork, your hands reach down to cover your plush tummy from his view. His hands gently wrap around your wrists, pulling your hands away, allowing him to take you in. Your tummy rolls slightly as you sit up straight, and the stretch marks that line your stomach and thighs also line the sides of your perfect breasts. His hands grope the soft flesh of your tits, squeezing them and massaging them gently and trying to put his appreciation of your body into every gentle squeeze and caress of his touch.
He was obsessed with you and your body. There was no doubt or question about that. When Suguru touched you, you could feel how much he adored you. The erection in his pants told you how much he wanted you just the way that you were. Where you saw insecurity, he saw perfection.
“Me?” You gasp out as he slides your panties and shorts to the side, revealing your wet, dripping cunt.
“Yes,” he snarls loudly against your ear as the handrails back up to your breasts, squeezing them together. “You all of you, you’re perfect.” Heaps his tongue over both your nipples before sucking on both of them. “Mmm~”
The feeling of his warm, wet mouth and circling your sensitive buds has your back arching up against him: your plump stomach, his muscular chest. For a second, you almost pull away. Thinking that you won’t wear, they did such an exquisite specimen as himself with your body. When Suguru feels the slight shift of your weight, when you’re about to move away from him and his mouth, he releases one of his hands, wrapping around your body, pulling you flush against his chest, grinding his hard cock over your exposed pussy.
He watches slick coats his pants in his string of arousal. The sight of your wetness coating his still-covered erection sends shivers down his spine. He loves watching the way your thighs jiggle with each thrust against your clothed core. But he loves the sharp moans and inhales of breath that escapes your chest as your arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer to your incredibly sexy body.
With a sharp pop, Suguru pulls himself off your breasts. “I love you, my beautiful Princess,” Suguru whispered as he pressed his forehead against yours.
“I-I love you too.” The words come out in a breathless, singsong voice.
“God, I want you so bad.”
“Oh—“ Suguru watches your smaller hands work to unlatch his belt and unzip the zipper, “you can have me~ all of me~”
Suguru excitedly pulled his cock out, eager to please his Princess. With a smug grin, he grabbed her thighs before sliding your hips to the edge and grinding up against you. "God, you're so fucking soft~ Fuckin' love you~let me worship your body."
“I love you too~” you purred like a cat in heat. “Fuck~ yes, you can worship me.” Gentle hands grip your boyfriends shoulders. “You always make sure to do it~.”
He chuckled, nodding as he kissed down your neck before up to your mouth, pressing chaste, eager kisses against your lips. "Oh, I plan on it, princess~” Sliding a hand down, Suguru guides his cock slowly into your pussy. Hissing at the wetness that coats his tip, he pushes himself inside the tight muscles that pull him further inside.
“Oooh, good God.” Your back arched, pressing against his chest. You whimpered as the smell of fresh berries and chocolate flooded your senses. Suguru pushed into you, grabbing the counter and shifting the bowls. “Suguru~”
Suguru moved one of his hands to grip your back, forcing you to arch into him, and he thrust upwards, burying his cock deep into you. "I'll worship you every day, princess~"
“Oh, holy fuck!” You squeaked out as your eyes rolled back. The pleasure that rocked through you made stars twinkle behind your eyes. “Ooooh, my fuckin’ god.”
Your sweet, loving boyfriend laughed against you, kissing and biting at the soft skin around her shoulder and neck. "Oh, you're fucking delicious, baby~" his arm tightened around you while his other hand groped your hip, massaging you as he snapped his hips forward.
“Suguru~” A warm, rich laugh escaped you as you glanced down at him, the rays of the afternoon sun reflecting off your hair. Reaching into the bowl next to you, scooped up some white chocolate before smearing it all over Suguru’s lips. “Oooh~ I can’t wait to taste you~”
The feeling of you smearing chocolate against his lips made him growl, your beauty, and the dirty innuendos coming from your lips. He bucked up into you like a madman, desperate to make you cum, desperate to fill you up with his cum. "Fuck—fuck—Ahn!!" He growled, his cock throbbing inside you as he slammed his chocolate-covered lips against yours in a bone-chilling kiss.
Screams of pleasure flooded Suguru’s mouth as you cried out. Your toes curled as the taste of your boyfriend and chocolate washed over your tastebuds and lingered with the faint traces of strawberries. The intensity of the kiss, the feeling of his cock slamming into your g-spot and cervix, has you squirting as you came. You dug your fingers in his hair as your body arched against Suguru’s. Fuck, fuck he felt so good. It was intoxicating, so much so that you rolled your hips, eager to feel him cum inside you.
Luckily, you didn’t need to ask or beg for him to do so. Watching you come undone, feeling your plump legs, stomach, and breast jiggle, and the aftershocks of your orgasm. It was enough to send you tumbling over the edge. Suguru let out a roar of a moan against your mouth; your pussy tightening around him was just too much. He cummed inside, his hand tightening around her hip as he emptied his balls inside of you.
Sitting there in post-orgasmic bliss, you hummed in pleasure, your chocolate-covered finger running down his biceps. “Fuck~ Suguru~.” Your kiss-swollen lips pressed against his cheek as he recovered his senses.
"You have such an amazing body, Princess.” Suguri practically purred, kissing your neck and shoulder with a slight grumble. “God, you're fucking beautiful ~ I love every inch of you.” He threw you over his shoulder, grabbing the bowl of strawberries before stacking the chocolate on top. “Say it’s laundry day, right?”
“Ahh!” you giggled, looking over your shoulder at him. “Yeah! I just haven't changed the sheets yet.”
“Good, because we're about to make them dirty.” what could Suguru say? Your plump, beautiful body always had him ready to go!

idk if you do modern AU, but it could be really cool like a modern au of the clones from Bad Batch + rex and cody in like university. what would they study, what hobbies, what would they wear! idk
or maybe like in the y/n s/o perspective how they would help them study through finals and midterms?
love ur writing 🫶🫶🫶
I love university AUs sm ughh
Modern!The Bad Batch +Rex +Cody x GN!Reader: The boys as university students
Tumblr media
Rex:
Style: Athleisure for sure. Something presentable enough to attend class in but also hit up the gym in after. The same sneakers almost every day, and his gold chain.
Major: Philosophy
Study dates: In his dorm when Cody is out. You both fit into his twin bunk and quiz each other with flash cards.
Cody:
Style: Done up, slacks and a sweater every day for sure. I imagine him in brown loafers and gold jewelry.
Major: Engineering
Study dates: Out at a cafe with free wifi. He prefers outdoor seating so the two of you can have a bit more privacy while also enjoying nature, but he won't subject you to that in the winter. You doublecheck his math for him and quiz him on the different formulas he's got to memorize.
Hunter:
Style: Jeans, boots, and a graphic tee of some sort. A denim or leather jacket in the winter.
Major: Forestry/Environmental Science
Study date: Outdoors at campus, usually under a tree the two of you can lean back on. He brings snacks and a blanket each time, and the two of you study for your respective midterms in a comfortable silence until you fall asleep on his shoulder.
Echo:
Style: Similar to Rex's. Athleisure, but more boyish. Graphic tees of his favorite show and Nike sweatshorts.
Major: Biomedical engineering
Study dates: At your dorm because Fives always has a girl over. He tries to focus on studying but ends up getting distracted by the various doodads around your room, which results in you getting the great idea of holding him down and doing your skincare routine on him. No studying gets done.
Wrecker:
Style: He's the guy that wears shorts whether it's warm or not. A black pullover hoodie is a closet staple. (He let's girls borrow it so be ready to argue about that). Socks and sandals 100%.
Major: Sport's Medicine or Physics.
Study dates: In his dorm. He sits at his desk with you in his lap and you make him create/study quizlets. He takes breaks frequently to snuggle and kiss you.
Tech:
Style: Slacks, polo and blazer. Thinks you need to look your best to do your best. Him and Wrecker fuss over each other's styles constantly.
Major: Double majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science.
Study dates: In the STEM building in one of the many study spaces. He says what he's learned out loud to you to better adhere it in his noggin. He takes you out to ice cream after to make up for the lack of romance during the actual study part.
Crosshair:
Style: Dark academia on days he has a presentation. Rest of the time? Sweatpants and a black shirt. Something he can jump right back into bed in.
Major: I'm sorry but he's so a business major. Actually I'm not sorry.
"Study" dates: You go to his dorm and make out while a business textbook is open nearby. Studying!!

This is a little short and not proofread lolololol the last time i posted a fic was in july 2022 so if this is trash lmk.
Tumblr media
The heat of your room is suffocating as you drop your bag and tug at your jacket. June is approaching and a new month means new opportunities to wear cute new outfits for most people. You on the other hand have no choice but to make the awkward switch from heavy winter clothes to lightweight winter clothes. The ugly lines that cross your arms , stomach , thighs, and even hips are stinging reminder of why you couldn’t even think of wearing something other than hoodies and sweats. Not only are they the only things that conceal your scars, they don’t tug and irritate them throughout the day which is another plus.
Eren had been feeling particularly irritable all week, naturally deciding to take it out on you. Although you finally made it through the week you flunked yet another test. Your grades have been taking more of a toll then ever, lowering your gpa to an unredeemable average. You were numb to the disappointment of your grades at this point and the only thing that allowed you to feel alive was the secret you kept tucked away in the privacy of your room. after grabbing your coping mechanism and taking off your sweater you slid down the wall, taking your time to enjoy the coolness of it against your too hot skin. Your thighs were running out of room. Faint lines cross your biceps and so today you’d decided on your lower forearm to bare the weight of your week. You lowered the blade and slowly withdrew your stress. As little beads of blood came about, each one releasing just a little of the darkness Eren had created inside you. You were so lost in your comfort and hurt you started and nicked yourself particularly hard when you heard banging at your door.
Quickly you threw on the sweater from today and made your way to the front door, looking out the peephole.
“ Open the fuck up y/n, what did i tell you about making me wait.”
Eren.
Your heartbeat double in pace. You wondered what would be your demise first, your heart stopping from fear of the angry look on Erens face , or the way you just knew he would choke you out for making him wait.
You swiftly swung the door open while midnight a small apology.
“ I’m sweating like crazy so why are you sitting in this hot ass house with that sweater on?” he sneered, using his t/shirt to wipe his upper lip dry.
“ i had the ac on in my room i got a little chilly.”
“ so why is it still so hot in here? and there’s no Ac in that fucking hell hole of a school and you still had it on today, what’s your deal.”
“ Nothing I-“
He interrupted you by kicking the door closed behind him and pushing you against the wall before lowering his face to your neck.
“ Mmm baby you smell good.” he said, licking your neck.
Panick arose once again becuase the broad daylight would allow eren to see everything. The last few times he’d assaulted you had either been in a dark empty class room or with the lights off in the dead night of your room.
Before you had the chance to protest he was pulling the sweatshirt off of you.
You both stood in silence as he peered closely at your body, watching as you began to subtly quiver.
“ Y/N, what the fuck is this? “ He seethed, grabbing your arm, not caring about the blood clearly still oozing form your open wounds.
You had no answer, and you kept your head bowed in shame.
He pulled you by the arm into your bedrock before pushing you down on the mattress.
Wasting no time he stripped you free of the rest of your clothes and examined all the scars you’d given yourself.
He laughed to himself as he flipped you over and pushed your head down into your pillows before pulling you up the hips.
“ Count ” he said.
you felt a harass smack and jolted forward, trying to escape the assault.
“ one!”
you silently said a prayer to anyone who would be looking down on you.
Smack after smack you counted and cried out.
Just when you thought it was over, you heard something click and felt the sharp coolness of something against your ass.
“ Eren? what-“ you said sniffling.
You let out a whimper as you felt what you know knew was a blade lightly digging into you.
The agony was much worse than anything you’d put yourself through , you skin had a second heart beat and you could feel the blood dripping down your legs concerniny fast. You cried and begged for him to stop but he paid you no mind as he continued carving your delicate flesh.
Minutes passed by and you swear that you’d lost consciousness, fading in and out of black a few times.
Eren chuckled.
“ I’ve thought about doing this so many times. You have no idea how many times i’ve fucked my hand, making my cock cum over and over until i was sore thinking about making you permanently mine.”
Still dazed and confused, you had no reaction to his words or to the shutter of a phone that meaning he’d definitely photographed his work.
His finger spread your lips, using his thumb to tease your hole before spitting into it. He didn’t bother much foreplay before impaling you his thick and veining cock.
“ Fuck.”
His voice dipped and his breathing got heavier.
He used one hand to rub at the little nub that had you quickly seeing stars from the pain and pleasure mixed together. He used his other hand to pull you up by the neck so that tori back was touching his. He kissed your neck hard, biting and suckling at the skin to leave even more bruises. Tears fell down your eyes and whines left your lips as he pounding into from behind. You could feel the blood starting to dry and crust up on your ass making it even more discomforting to feel his movements.
removing his hand from your clit, he picked up his phone from off your bed and flashed you the screen.
In big red bruised letters red
Erens whore.
His sultry voice was almost tuned out by combination your ringing ears and the slapping of his hips against your wetness but you still heard him in your ear
“ Your heart , body, and soul is mine. Your skin belongs to me, and the next time you think about cutting what’s mine you won’t live to regret it.”
Eren never made empty promises… if you’d ever decided to hurt yourself again, you’d be signing your death certificate.

Early Birds | Akaashi Keiji
Pairing: Akaashi X Reader (female)
Genre: Cute high school fluff
Author's Note: I am beyond rusty; forgive me ;-; edit for after writing: IM SO BAD KAJSHD🧎‍♀️
Tumblr media
The streets were empty except for the occasional elderly person taking a morning stroll
Your body was warm but the crisp air crept through your jacket and the tights under your skirt
the cold chill woke you up a bit more on your morning commute to school - always early when the sun was just barely peeking over the horizon in the distance
it was peaceful and quiet
it was the only time you could think and be in your own little bubble
home was cozy but too rambunctious with your three younger brothers and your parents scrambling to get them up and to school
so you always left right when the chaos was beginning
and you were always early before most of the student body
winters were always brutal, especially for you
it felt no matter how much you layered on, the coldness still found a way in
the school came into view and grew bigger and bigger as you got closer and closer
snow crunched under your steps
the wind howled, blowing some loose snow from all around the campus into the school entrance as the door closed behind you
you changed your shoes and took off your coats and winter outerwear you wouldn't need in class
but you kept your pocket warmer knowing your hands would probably freeze off without them
school always felt like a whole different world before the rest of the students came in
it made you feel like a ghost roaming or haunting the schools
you slid the door open to your class, a faint warmth greeting you as you stepped in and closed it behind you
it was always warm around the center of the classroom but your seat was right by the window where the cold always crept in, right in the back too
in the springtime, the view was always breathtaking
but the view in winter was... still somewhat warm
the seats in class were sat in pairs and with the luck of the gods, you were sat beside akaashi, your boyfriend
you folded your arms, one hand holding your pocket warmer
your sweater sleeve was fuzzy against your face but comfy
it was either you laid on your arms or the cold wooden table
there was still quite some time before the rest of the school came
this was always your favorite time to take a quick little nap before the school chaos started
You watched the class, your eyes wandering all over the place, seeing all the things you've seen already every morning, but there was always at least one little thing you noticed was new
the classroom slowly began disappearing in your vision until it was completely gone
Akaashi stifled a yawn as he walked down the hall, waking a little too early this morning from having fallen asleep earlier than usual last night
but at least now he could sit in class and read and study ahead for the finals
he slid open the door, letting out yet another yawn, the cool metal on his hand and a warm little gust welcoming him in
He walked in and made his way over to his seat in a few strides
your hair was sprawled out over your desk and a little over his too
"y/n?" he was quiet as he carefully pulled out his seat from beside you, and took his seat
you stirred just a little, pulling your hand closer to your face but stayed asleep
"What's that?" he peeked at your hand, loosely holding onto a pocket warmer
he carefully placed his finger on it but as he suspected, just as he felt it coming from the windows, it was cold
He knew you always had pocket warmers, bringing one on a daily but it was at least warm when class started
you were always cold and shivering yet the teacher never did anything or moved any seats around
Akaashi took off his blazer and draped it around you to keep you warm
he knew you were always pretty timid so it would be rare for you to confront the teacher sternly
you mainly kept to yourself, you weren't the best at speaking but you always seemed comfortable around him and only him in class
you two even slid little notes back and forth every now and then
but it was true
you were so cute to him
you weren't the biggest fan of speaking or asking for help when you needed it but akaashi was nice enough to care and always noticed when you were struggling
he always helped you whenever and wherever you were on schoolwork
over some time, you slowly began to wake up but somehow, you weren't entirely freezing, mostly your legs
"You awake?" Akaashi tilted his head to see your slow blinking eyes, your head lifting up with a subtle confused look on your face
you felt something hanging on you but most importantly
Akaashi was already here - much earlier than normal
"Mmhm.." you rubbed your eyes
you realized the hanging thing on you was his blazer. You began to take it off of you when he stopped you
"you can keep wearing it. I know you're cold."
"Are you sure? Aren't you cold?" you hugged it closer, letting the warmth and subtle smell waft over you
"I'm okay, you need it more than I do." He patted your head but not messing up your hair
he knew you came early but was it really this early?
"Do you always come so early?"
"mhm," you nuzzled into his hand more. "I like how quiet it is.."
You rest your head back down, now wearing your arms through his blazer sleeves
"Well, I'll start coming early too." He mirrored you, leaning forward to rest his head onto his folded arms
"Why?" you brought his sleeve up to your mouth
"Because you're here. And I need to keep you warm." he leaned in close, pressing his warm forehead to yours.
"See? Even your forehead is cold. What'll I do if you get sick?" He put his hand on your forehead and you melted
he was so warm
"You feel so nice~"
He leaned close as you took in the nice feeling of his warm hand and went for it
he gave you a kiss on your lips, catching you off guard
as different as he seemed while playing or with Bokuto, you were the only one to see Akaashi's heart
he was the warmest view every winter
"I love you," he smiled, pressing another little kiss to your warm, rosy cheek

Soft Confessions (ft. Megumi)
Tumblr media
You and Megumi find yourselves navigating the delicate line between friendship and something more, unraveling unspoken feelings. (A/N: Last time i posted was Feb 20.... ANYWAY, here's some megumi fluff ‹𝟹)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a lazy Saturday morning, the kind where the sun spills through the window just enough to make you want to stay in bed a little longer. You blink awake, stretching under the soft weight of your blankets, enjoying the rare peace of not having anywhere to rush off to. For a few moments, you lie there, content to bask in the quiet until your phone buzzes on the bedside table.
Reaching for it, you see a message waiting for you—a single text from Megumi.
“Morning. You free today?”
Your heart skips, a familiar warmth blooming in your chest. You bite your lip, fingers quickly moving across the screen to type a reply.
“Yeah, what’s up?”
The response is almost immediate.
“Want to come over?”
Your eyebrows raise in surprise. Megumi inviting you over wasn’t out of the ordinary, but there’s something about the simplicity of the invitation that makes your stomach flutter. You push yourself out of bed, already feeling the excitement bubbling up inside. Grabbing a cozy sweater and your favorite pair of jeans, you get dressed quickly, wondering what he’s up to.
You step outside, greeted by the soft embrace of autumn air. The sun hangs lazily in the sky, casting a warm, golden light that filters through the trees. It’s the perfect day—cool enough to justify the cozy sweater you threw on, but not so cold that you regret not wearing a heavier jacket.
The familiar crunch of leaves under your shoes as you walk down the quiet streets is soothing, and your mind drifts, thinking about Megumi.
He’s not one to text you out of the blue like this—at least not without a clear plan in mind—so you can’t help but wonder what’s on his agenda for today. The thought makes your heart flutter, a tiny ripple of excitement in your chest. You shove your hands deeper into your pockets, trying to ground yourself as the cool breeze picks up, tousling your hair.
The path to Megumi’s place is one you’ve walked countless times before, but today it feels different. It’s not just the weather, or the quiet calm of the streets—it’s the sense of anticipation that builds with each step, as though something significant is waiting for you at the end of this walk. You can’t quite place the feeling, but you don’t mind it. If anything, it makes the walk more exciting, like you’re heading toward something special.
As you turn the last corner, Megumi’s apartment comes into view. It’s a modest place, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but it’s one that feels comfortable and familiar to you. You approach the door, your fingers tingling slightly with nerves as you knock lightly.
A few moments pass, and then you hear the soft shuffle of footsteps on the other side. The door swings open, and there he is—Megumi, standing in the doorway, looking like he just rolled out of bed, his hair slightly messy and his hoodie hanging loosely on his frame. His dark eyes meet yours, and for a second, he looks surprised, like he wasn’t expecting you to actually show up, despite being the one to invite you over in the first place.
“Hey,” you greet him, a small smile tugging at your lips as you feel your shyness creeping in.
“Hey,” he replies, stepping aside to let you in. His voice is casual, but there’s something in his expression—something soft—that makes you feel like maybe he’s just as nervous as you are. “Glad you could come.
You step inside, kicking off your shoes by the door and slipping out of your jacket. The familiar warmth of his apartment wraps around you, and you instantly feel at ease. It’s quiet here, save for the low hum of the heater in the corner and the distant sounds of the city outside. The place smells faintly of something warm—tea, maybe, or the faint scent of the laundry detergent Megumi always uses.
You follow him into the living room, where he gestures for you to sit down on the couch. The cushions are soft beneath you, and you settle in, feeling the quiet anticipation of the day ahead. It’s not like you haven’t been here before, but something about today feels… different. Maybe it’s the way Megumi seems a little more relaxed than usual, or the fact that he invited you over without any particular plan.
“I made tea,” Megumi says, his voice a little quieter now as he disappears into the kitchen for a moment. You hear the clink of mugs, the quiet whistle of the kettle being turned off, and a few seconds later, he returns with two steaming cups in his hands.
He hands one to you, his fingers brushing yours briefly as you take the warm mug from him. The contact is brief, but it’s enough to send a spark of warmth up your arm, and you quickly pull the cup closer to you, letting the heat sink into your hands.
“Thanks,” you mumble, taking a small sip. The tea is perfect—not too hot, just the right amount of sweetness. It’s comforting, much like the quiet presence of the boy sitting beside you.
Megumi settles down next to you on the couch, his leg brushing against yours as he gets comfortable. You notice the way he sits slightly closer than usual, his shoulder almost touching yours, but you don’t mind. In fact, you welcome the warmth that radiates from him. There’s something comforting about being this close to him, like you’re both in your own little world, separate from everything else.
“So, what’s the plan?” you ask, trying to sound casual even though your heart is beating a little faster than usual. You glance at him, watching as he takes a sip of his tea before shrugging.
“I thought we could just hang out,” he says, his voice low and unhurried. “Watch something, maybe.”
It’s such a simple suggestion, but the thought of spending the entire day with Megumi, doing nothing but being in each other’s company, makes you smile. You nod, feeling a sense of calm settle over you. “Sounds good to me.”
For the next few moments, you both sit there in comfortable silence, sipping your tea and exchanging quiet glances. The TV hums softly in the background as Megumi flips through streaming options, not settling on anything in particular. You don’t mind; it’s the kind of silence that doesn’t need to be filled with words. It feels natural, like this is exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Finally, Megumi settles on some random movie—something light-hearted that neither of you has seen before—and you both lean back into the couch, letting the soft glow of the TV fill the room.
At first, you try to focus on the movie, but your mind keeps drifting to Megumi. You steal quick glances at him out of the corner of your eye, noticing how relaxed he seems.
His arm is draped lazily over the back of the couch, his expression focused on the screen, but you can sense that he’s aware of you just as much as you are of him. Every time your arms or legs brush, you feel a tiny jolt of awareness, like there’s an invisible current running between you.
You shift slightly, leaning into him, and your shoulder gently presses against his. For a split second, you wonder if you’re being too bold, but then you feel him relax even more, his body– not moving away– instinctively leaning into yours. It’s a small gesture, but it feels like the most natural thing in the world.
You can feel the soft rise and fall of his breathing. The warmth of his body against yours is comforting, and before you know it, you’re resting your head on his shoulder.
Neither of you says anything, but you can feel the shift in the air, the quiet tension that wasn’t there before. It’s not uncomfortable, though. If anything, it feels like the unspoken promise of something more.
Time seems to slow as the two of you sit there, shoulders touching, legs barely brushing. The room is quiet except for the faint dialogue of the movie and the soft, steady rhythm of your breaths. You can feel your eyelids growing heavier, lulled by the warmth of Megumi’s presence and the soothing atmosphere of the room.
Without really thinking about it, you let your head rest on his shoulder, the soft fabric of his hoodie warm and familiar beneath your cheek. Megumi doesn’t flinch or pull away; instead, he shifts slightly, adjusting so that you’re more comfortable. His hand drops to the space between you, fingers brushing lightly against yours in a way that feels both casual and deliberate.
You close your eyes, the quiet rise and fall of his chest beneath your head calming your racing thoughts. You can hear the soft thud of his heartbeat, steady and reassuring, and for a moment, you wonder if he can feel how fast yours is beating.
Neither of you says anything. There’s no need for words right now. The comfort of being close like this, the quiet intimacy of the moment, speaks louder than anything you could say. You don’t know how long you sit there, resting against him, but you don’t want it to end.
The movie plays on, but your focus is entirely on Megumi—the way he’s so still, yet completely present beside you, the way his warmth seeps into you like a soft blanket. It’s moments like these that remind you why you’re so drawn to him—why you cherish these quiet, stolen moments of closeness that seem to happen without any effort at all.
You can feel the subtle tension in the air, though. It’s not an uncomfortable tension; rather, it’s the kind that makes your heart beat a little faster, the kind that makes you wonder if he’s thinking the same thing you are. You don’t dare move, afraid that even the slightest shift might break the spell that’s settled over you both.
And yet, there’s something unspoken between you, something that lingers in the space between each quiet breath. It’s as if both of you are waiting for something—some invisible line to be crossed, some acknowledgment of the feelings that have been building beneath the surface for so long.
The afternoon fades into evening, the sky outside turning shades of pink and orange. You’ve switched to watching random videos on your phones now, passing the time in comfortable silence. But there’s something lingering between you—something unsaid.
You glance at Megumi, you can’t help but study his face in the soft light. The way the shadows play across his sharp features, the slight furrow in his brow as if he’s lost in thought. He’s always had this quiet intensity about him, but right now, he seems different. More relaxed, maybe. Or maybe you’re just noticing things you hadn’t before.
“Megumi?” you say his name softly, almost hesitant to break the calm.
He turns to look at you, his gaze steady and thoughtful. “Hmm?”
He looks up, his eyes meeting yours. “What is it?”
You hesitate, suddenly unsure of how to phrase the question that’s been on your mind all day. “Why did you ask me to come over today? I mean, we hang out all the time, but… I don’t know. Today feels different.”
He blinks, clearly taken aback by your question. For a moment, he seems to be weighing his words, and you brace yourself for his response.
“I just… wanted to see you,” he says finally, his voice quiet but steady. His gaze flickers away, almost as if he’s embarrassed. “Is that a bad thing?”
Your heart skips again, and you can’t help the small smile that tugs at your lips. “No, not at all. I’m glad you did.”
There’s a beat of silence, and then Megumi shifts slightly closer, his leg brushing against yours. “Good,” he murmurs, his voice barely audible, but the sincerity in it makes your chest tighten.
The sun has completely set now, the room dimly lit by the soft glow of the lamp in the corner. You’re both sitting in comfortable silence, but the tension from earlier has grown, lingering in the space between you like a question waiting to be answered.
You’re the first to break it.
“Megumi,” you say softly, your voice barely louder than a whisper. “I—there’s something I need to tell you.”
He turns to look at you, his expression unreadable, but there’s something in his eyes—something soft, something vulnerable—that makes your pulse quicken.
You take a deep breath, gathering the courage you need. “I think… I like you.”
The words hang in the air, and for a moment, you think the world has stopped turning. You can feel your heart hammering in your chest, your palms growing clammy with nerves.
But then, Megumi reaches for your hand, his fingers brushing against yours in the gentlest of touches. He doesn’t say anything at first, just looks at you, his expression softening in a way you’ve never seen before.
“I like you too,” he finally says, his voice low but sure.
Relief floods through you, and before you can stop yourself, you’re grinning like an idiot. Megumi’s lips twitch in a small smile, and he squeezes your hand gently, grounding you in the moment.
Neither of you moves for a while, just sitting there with your hands intertwined. It’s quiet, peaceful, but there’s a buzzing in the air that you can’t ignore—the awareness that something between you has shifted.
Then, slowly, Megumi leans in. You can feel your breath catch as the space between you closes, your heart racing as his lips brush yours in the softest, most tentative kiss.
It’s brief—barely more than a whisper of contact—but it leaves you breathless. When you pull back, Megumi is watching you with a look that makes your heart stutter in your chest.
“Was that okay?” he asks, his voice barely audible.
You nod, your face flushing as you manage a soft, “Yeah. That was perfect.”
And in that moment, everything feels right.
