I think it's so funny when I slide out of one hyperfixation into the next, especially ones that I write/wrote for. Cuz I get so so scared I'll never come back to it, never touch it again. And then time passes and I'm plunged back into it so easily like no actually the love remained

needed a break from reading so im doing some carry on annotations for my lore handbook ("valen isnt that just more reading" shh 🤏 it is a diff type of reading) but actually im not bc i cant decide what fucking pen colour to use for davy n this is clearly a very pressing decision

fascinating thing about the ADHD or maybe just being human is the sensation of having too many tabs open in your brain so you know you have to sit down with a real physical notebook and a pen or else none of the tabs will close, and you know the internet will not help you close any tabs because it will only open more tabs, and this goes on for so long that you feel guilty, even, about all the open tabs, and you know the only thing that can fix you is sitting down with the notebook and being bored for 20 minutes before you solve a bunch of shit in the next 10 minutes, and, again, you know this, you KNOW this, because it has happened so many times before. You know you need to sit at the table with nothing but a pen and notebook. and then your brain does EVERYTHING in its power to do EVERYTHING BUT sit down at the table with the notebook.

The "secret identity" trop for the Mac fic is GOLD. Maybe she could be a librarian (did i write it correctly?) or a law/political science/international relations student.

For the 1st one, he always goes to her library and every one of this friends finds that weird bc "can he read?". He's like a bull in a china shop.

For the 2nd one (personal favorite bc that's what im gonna be in september) he would tell her all the gossip and the "my (amateure football or smth) team let a rookie down after 2 matches" and she'd go on rants roasting everybody he knows based on the gossip he feeds her. (That's what i do)

Also, I agree, I think Max would accidentally hide his fame and then get stuck in a cycle of not knowing how or when to tell her the truth.

And then one weekend, when he’s ’travelling for work’, she gets a phone call from Max’s father, who tells her that he’s been in an accident (Silverstone 2021), and that’s how she does ultimately find out the truth.

That timeline would also mean that she could be there in Abu Dhabi to see him win his first championship.

Books of 2023: CONVERSATIONS ON WRITING by Ursula K. Le Guin with David Naimon.

Currently dual wielding books, over here--I've never really been big on reading two different fiction books at once, but I can pair fiction with nonfiction just fine.

I haven't read as much nonfiction as I'd hoped to this year (overcorrecting from last year, apparently), so I'm excited to get back into some Writers Writing about Writing stuff while I cool off of my current project before I gear up for NaNo. This one starts with "In Memoriam," though, so I suspect it'll probably break my heart a little bit. This is Fine™.

was on a call with my dnd friends and i was adding a page in my notebook about all our villains and the info we have (which is startlingly sparse, for all of them) and i was like "im so glad I get to add another color coded tab to my notebook" 💀

i wasn't really loving the gray so i changed it to gold but i feel like it stands out a little too much so i might try to mute it/tone it down a little more????? i think i like this more than the gray tho

also made some really simple little sticky note things out of the v/vengeance cover arts. low effort on purpose cus i was just experimenting really

i was also thinking of putting it up for download somewhere for anyone that likes digital notebooks like me but idrk a good place to host it lmao i'd rather not use google drive and i considered mediafire but i don't really know much ab it
