if i could go back in time and tell my college-age self that she'll get better at art eventually she would probably be like "oh sweet do i find the motivation to practice?" and i would unfortunately have to say "no you stop drawing for ten years and then when you start again you're just better for no reason. i don't know what the moral is here"

I've graduated to tablet weaving, which is inkle weaving but with a bunch of cards that you twist around to make patterns. It's a little fussy, but the results are completely worth it.
