Things I'm learning about Wellstring:

It's actually more difficult for people to approach you than with Tri-Stringer since you only need just under a first-level charge to fully combine all your bolts. If you miss a couple of them, another quick charge will surely do the trick if your aim is good.

If you must use Ultra Stamp (and sometimes you will), a well-timed rush mode can really help. Just remember that it's attached to a heavyweight backliner, so only spend a couple seconds swinging it, throw it, then reposition.

Mobility modifiers are your friends. Pack plenty of Run and Swim Speed on it, or have a Tacticooler on standby. This should sound very familiar if you've used Splatlings or Tri-Stringers before, but again, this one's a heavyweight, so that rings especially true here.

Oh and also one direct with this thing on its own is enough to break Wave Breaker, so RIP to any viability it could have had. :')

Had a good time in my FINISHED SECOND GRYPHON (well almost finished, I need to make the wings......................... good, but the free version is finished) and played a HORROR GAME and died, now I know how I’d do in Gantz. I’d be tentative at first, overcompensate with being cautious but survive many high-octane dangerous things due to my extreme cowardice, gain confidence and strength and start being a really useful cornerstone of the team, and then fucken bite it from some bullshit. About as I expected. Played some VRChat Among Us, too--REALLY REALLY excellent, by the way, I REALLY appreciate how fluidly it translates to VR. Played a regular round, won, then two spooky map rounds (“Among Us, But The Whole Map Is Spooky Electrical”), won one, lost the last. Then I just chilled................ then I chilled with some furries.......... met “which animals would you knife fight on a hike if you were attacked by them haha” guy again. He was a buxom, rippling shark woman. Talked about anime, Toonami, and Gundam Wing with some people. Believed one of them who sounded about twelve about their two daughters, Relena (ala Peacecraft) and Zoey, because I want to live in that world........... I want to live in the world where a twenty-seven-year-old who definitely sounds at MOST seventeen has two little girls, one of whom is fully named after Relena Peacecraft, and the second of whom is named subtle yet palpable pause, Zoey.

TWST Dorms Playing Splatoon 3

in honor of sploon 3's release, this! (I might so this again but with obey me characters idk tho) (also, I like how this is more self indulgent than all the romantic x reader shit I've written lmaooo)

Heartslabyul:

Ok, so first of all, since there's 5 members in heartslabyul but only 4 people allowed on the same team, I think Riddle and Trey would play the least since they're both the busiest and they switch places

Riddle, being that he doesn't have much experience with video games, probably plays with the regular splattershot

Trey probably uses the n-zap bc it's a simple weapon and also because he likes the tacticooler

Cater says he's a charger main but doesn't know how to use a charger (based lol)

Deuce likes using splatlings, specifically the heavy splatling, because they're basically machine guns and he thinks that's badass

Ace likes the splat dulies because of the cool little rolls (also I just realized Floyd calls him crabby and the special for the splat dulies is the crab tank

ADeuce I feel are really aggressive players who don't really pay attention to inking the ground, leaving Cater and Trey / Riddle to ink the base

Riddle would just camp at base since he somehow has really bad aim but he does alright

Cater tries to do cool no scope tricks but he, again, doesn't know how to use a charger so he just keeps dying

Trey's just average at the game, but he does really well under pressure

Deuce keeps trying to do his special but Ace refuses to booyah back like the little shithead he is (affectionate, maybe)

Savanaclaw:

Y'know how this is a team game, right? Yeah, Jack seems to be the only one who remembers

Leona plays the carbon roller since it's a faster than a regular roller and has autobombs that kill people for him while he sits in his ink

Ruggie, like Ace, also uses the dulies simply because funny roll go brr

Jack also uses a roller but he uses the dynamo roller because it can kill people easier and it makes him feel strong

Since they're one person short of a team, they'll either ask Yuu to join or they'll join with a random user

Leona doesn't really play much but when he does, he really just inks the base and sees how many cheap kills he can get

Similarly, Ruggie also tries to get a bunch of cheap kills but he also plays the game normally sometimes

Jack just plays the game normally and gets frustrated when he sees Leona just sit there trying to bait people out with autobombs

Octavinelle:

Probably the most insane 3/4 of a team

Azul is a fucking try hard and is definitely a e-liter main

Floyd is a fucking maniac and uses the aerospray

Jade is normal, sorta, and uses the bloblobber

Again, since they don't have a full team, they'll either ask Yuu, or beg Jamil or Idia to join their team (neither of them do btw)

Yeah, but playing against Octavinelle is a fucking nightmare

Floyd is a menace in his ugly ass outfit spawn camping people or trying to start squid parties for funsies

Jade, despite seeming like the normal one of the three, is really good at the bloblobber and usually gets the most kills, if Floyd doesn't

And Azul does the 360 no scopes Cater wishes he could do

Scarabia:

Despite Jamil hating disliking Kalim, they work pretty well together

Kalim would main the octobrush and make little hearts when he's not failing at using the zipcaster (same)

Jamil mains the tenta brella since it has the respawn beakon, which Kalim uses a lot, and since it doubles as a shield, which Kalim also uses a lot

Neither of them are bad at the game, it's just that Kalim's a little airheaded and sometimes doesn't see when people are trying to kill him

And Jamil's really good, as he is with most things, and is able to fill in the parts that Kalim lacks in

Since both dorms only have two members, Scarabia and Ignihyde pair up a lot and they're almost as bad as Octavinelle

Pomfiore:

I feel like Vil only really plays because it's a popular game that would make him look good

Also, probably uses the splat brella just cuz it's one of the cuter weapons

Rook definitely uses the bow weapons and gets a little too excited when playing with them

Epel uses the blaster for the opposite reason that Vil uses the brella: flames

Since Vil, again, doesn't play very often, Rook and Epel either ask one of the duos to play with them or Yuu if they're available

Epel, just like ADeuce, is really aggressive and Vil, surprisingly, isn't against it since no one would probably recognize Epel playing (minus the apple-themes user name but still-)

Rook is also pretty aggressive but he also likes to protect Vil even though that's not how the game works but go off

Vil is pretty decent at the game and is just surprising average overall

Ignihyde:

Arguably the best Splatoon 3 players in NRC (even though that's pretty obvious y'know)

Idia, being the gloomy samurai that he is, uses the splatana wiper (and is somehow good at it despite it being a pretty ass weapon???)

Ortho uses the slosher just so he can build his special (missiles, yay!)

Like I said earlier, they tend to team up with the Scarabia duo since they both have two members on their teams

Since Idia is, obviously, cracked at the game and Ortho's a baby robot, they obviously do well when teamed up with Jamil and Kalim

Overall, they're just good at the game I dunno what else to say lmao

Diasomnia:

idfk know how to describe they're dynamic like-

Malleus "I don't fucking know technology" Draconia plays the hero shot replica since he wants to show people that he finished the main story

Lilia plays with a different weapon and different gear every time to spice things up

Silver uses the splatana stamper because it's a cool sword weapon and he likes swords

And Sebek also uses the splatana stamper because he wants to show Malleus that he's the better splatana stamperer

So yeah, literal chaos especially considering Sebek indirectly sabotages the team by being glued to Malleus, who forgot how to use his weapon, the whole time

Silver keeps trying to stay awake but fails to do so, sometimes in the final minute of the game

Lilia is the only reason they win, despite having completely random gear each round

Bonus Content:

All of the sophomores having a squid party except for Azul and Jamil, who are fighting

Cater, Kalim, and Lilia writing little messages and drawings to each other

Floyd's locker changing every day and somehow repeatedly getting worse

Trey spending way to much time making his locker look nice

Idia completing the main campaign + after alterna in a single day

Idia also hosting a competition between dorms knowing damn well he's gonna win

Silver and Sebek having an epic (?) sword fight for literally no reason

Riddle almost breaking his switch lite because ADeuce aren't focusing on inking the ground

Inter-American Proposal Removes 47 – 47.2 GHz from Bands under Study for 5G Services

The 34th meeting of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) Permanent Consultative Committee II (PCC.II) concluded a week of meetings on August 16 in Ottawa, Canada, in advance of World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-19). The meetings were aimed at reaching regional consensus on WRC-19 agenda items. Attendees at PCC.II included ARRL Technical Relations Specialist Jon Siverling, WB3ERA, who is on the US delegation to WRC-19.

“The big news is that the Inter-American Proposal (IAP) going forward to ITU from CITEL countries has removed the 47 – 47.2 GHz Amateur Radio allocation from WRC-19 agenda item 1.13,” Siverling said. “We are putting forward a ‘no change’ proposal.” Supported by 13 member-states, the IAP would take frequencies in that range off the table for possible sharing with 5G International Mobile Telephony (IMT). Siverling conceded that other administrations could raise the issue at WRC-19.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) was to conduct and complete appropriate studies to determine spectrum needs for the IMT terrestrial component in the 24.25 – 86 GHz range, and studies on sharing and compatibility, while taking into account the protection of services with primary allocations on the band. ITU-R has not conducted any sharing studies between the IMT-2020 systems and incumbent Amateur Radio and Amateur Satellite services. “Therefore, it has not been demonstrated that the incumbent services can be protected, as required by Resolution 238 (WRC-15), and No Change is proposed for the 47 – 47.2 GHz frequency band,” the IAP said.

Fourteen administrations signed on to an IAP that voices no objection to an Amateur Radio allocation at 50 – 54 MHz in ITU Region 1 (Europe, the Mideast, and Africa).

Under WRC-19 agenda item 10 (future agenda items), language to protect the Amateur Radio primary 50 – 54 MHz allocation was included in a US proposal to study implementing space-based Earth Exploration Satellite Service (EESS) radars to operate in the 40 – 50 MHz range, in time for WRC-23, recognizing that 50 – 54 MHz is primary in Regions 2 and 3, with an alternative primary Amateur Service allocation in a number of Region 1 countries.

Also under agenda item 10, the frequency segment 47 – 47.2 GHz was removed from a proposal to study several additional frequency ranges for the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS).

Twelve member-states agreed to an IAP that supports no change to the existing allocation at 5725 – 5850 MHz, and 18 member states supported no change in the 5850 – 5925 MHz segment in the face of calls to consider these bands for higher power and outdoor wireless access points. The US and Canada are among countries with a secondary Amateur Radio allocation at 5650 – 5925 MHz.

Language in a Canadian contribution, with additions from the US delegation, was added regarding WRC-19 agenda item 9.1.6, which seeks to identify frequencies for medium- and high-power wireless charging of electric vehicles (WPT-EV). Delegates to PCC.II forwarded an IAP of No Change to the Radio Regulations. The wording emphasizes the requirement to properly set standards to avoid harmful interference to radio services from WPT-EV systems: “[A]s wireless power transmission and technology for electric vehicles continues to evolve, the protection of existing, planned, and future radiocommunication services against harmful interference, including unwanted emissions and harmonics, must be ensured. This can be achieved through further studies and the development or updating of applicable ITU-R recommendations and reports.”

I just read this piece from the Washington Post on the world of Tactical Instagram. I'm not really sure what they hoped to accomplish with this article other than clickbait from all sides, but it is an interesting outsider view on the "Tactical" culture. I understand that it is a lifestyle choice as much as that fixie bike that you never ride or that bar stand full of alcohol bottles you will never use. I even applaud companies like Alexo, a company started just up the street from me that makes women's running apparel designed for concealed carry while working out. Ladies click here to buy running tights with a built-in holster. I appreciate that you feel the need to carry a gun, but if you don't train to react in high-stress realistic situations to draw your gun from that cute clutch or that appendix holster then you're just carrying a heavy security blanket that you're more likely to hurt yourself or a loved one with accidentally.  I even understand that some people just like to collect things, show them off, and look cool doing it. Yes, guns kill people. But you know what kills more people? Cars. And also, falls. Check out this interesting New York Times article to learn more about the deadly menace killing a senior citizen every 19 minutes. If you have an AR and have put less than 500 rounds through it you're probably pretty tacticool and that's okay. Tacticool mobile action shooter extravaganza surprised everyone with its success. In just a short while, the game managed to establish itself as a fan favorite. Featuring its cleverly solved 3rd person and enhanced mechanics, weapons, and physics comparing to other games of its genre, it may very well be a hard hitter pretty soon.

As proof, we are not just saying that Panzerdog’s Tacticool won many prestigious gaming awards in 2018. It won the 1st place on the GTP Indie Cup Summer, 1st place <<Indie Showcase>> competition, 2nd at the Big Indie Pitch, and was a finalist in NGDC Season III, all in 2018.

The game has had over 1 million installs on Google Play and earned a 4.5-star rating with almost 17 thousand votes. The App Store doesn’t provide precise download data, but the game had 916 reviews and has an impressive 4.8-star rating and holding #21 rank in adventure rankings for iOS.

Tacticool Tips and Tricks

When you are not on a mission and looking at the home screen, tap the menu icon on the top left corner. Tap the ‘Settings’ at the bottom and there you’ll find all the options to customize your gameplay style for this action shooter. The options are as follows, with our tips included:

Graphics and Visuals

Seeing the enemy, tracking their movement, and responding in kind is crucial to get some kills. This is why it is important to have a good feeling of the surrounding terrain, bumps, walls, high ground advantage points, and cover. This is why you should consider going to the ‘Settings’ menu, tapping the ‘Graphics’ tab, and setting up the desired visuals. Now, if your phone is solid, it should be able to support 60fps with ultra settings, which will give you a distinct advantage in the game, especially with the physics and the intuitive feeling of the surroundings.

Tacticool Controls and Movement

Now, Tacticool 5v5 shooter is meant to be a mash-up of all sorts of players who are just looking for fun, but having some patience is always good. Particularly, people are mostly giving the game mixed feedback for the controls. Well, in the settings menu you can set up the controls sensitivity, which is set at about 30% by default but we recommend around 50% for a good response and fast movement.

Additionally, when trying to move out of the line of fire or trying to ambush someone, do not forget the ‘Crouch’ and the ‘Tumble’ abilities. Tumble can be of great value and it is why it has a 10-second cooldown.  

Furthermore, you can set up the entire game’s UI to suit your personal convenience. You can change the position of the tapping spots as per your desire. Because both of your thumbs are always busy, one for walking other for turning, we suggest you do not move all of the weapon functions to the right side, even though this may be a good solution for beginners. But, moving the crouching button from left to right can prove to give you a faster response time when under fire.

How to win in Tacticool?

Tacticool 5v5 shooter is a multiplayer game, 5v5, and thus encourages teamwork. Even when you are just playing solo and matchmaking puts you together with random players with whom you do not have any tactics in store, you can make the most of it by sticking together. Just pick a player and stick together.

Stay together when defending a position, of course. When moving in on an enemy, do not be too close together because it will be a good advantage point for an enemy grenade. Also, when exchanging fire with an enemy in close combat, both of you shooting at each other frantically, try to predict when you’ll need to reload and save your tumble for that. Tumble to cover and reload. Also, after successfully tumbling to cover, try and let the enemy come to you while waiting in a crouching position. Most people will chase if they are not too clever.

Tacticool Guns

Guns in Tacticool do matter, but there is no gun that is the best or the strongest, no matter what people say in the feedback. If you just have a gun or a plain rifle, try to stay close to someone who has something else, like a sniper or a shotgun. Diversity will beat people who just think one playstyle beats all, anytime.
