I know I said that I wouldn't post spoilers for a week, but based on my current progress in the campaign, I can imagine my Guardians* being so unbothered and I love that for them.

Duane is focused™ on the mission (not his first suicide mission) and RZ is just happy to be alive and exploring a new place lol.

*[inb4: "But canonically it's just [x/y/z] and-" I don't care. 💕 RZ and Duane are both perceived as The Guardian, so they can both be there if they want to.]

School was alright yesterday. I don't technically have to post about it here, but I feel like I should after making a big deal of it yesterday. Anyway, I don't think we have to deal with that movie thing in period 2 until at least next week, which is good. I have to do a project in there this week though, but at least that isn't something that might scare me. Stress me out? Maybe. But not scare me. Period 1 was a bit annoying, but the teacher hasn't corrected me yet. So at least that's something. Now I just have to hope he isn't rude to me today. Because that's always a distinct possibility, with the unpredictability of him.

Falin/Marcille is problematic because marcille is only 60 years old which by elf aging standards means she’s a minor :((( yeah I know that she’s actually a half elf whose rate of development is extremely different from full blooded elves, but we can’t be acknowledging any sort of nuance in these things. Plus it’s bad and wrong to eroticize their relationship at all cause then you’re a sapphic fetishizing yuri-enjoyer and you’re disrespecting Kui-sensei. ☹️

Laios/Kabru is problematic because people headcanon kabru as trans which is Obviously fetishizing trans people :(((( plus the inherent power dynamic with a king fucking his advisor? Not okay. 🙅

Kabru/Mithrun is problematic because ewwwwww huge age gap 🤮

Chilchuck/Marcille is problematic because yuck she’s basically his daughter gross

Chilchuck/Senshi is also problematic though because chilchuck is minor coded. Yes I know he’s a grown ass man with an estranged wife and adult children but he Looks vaguely childlike and if you draw fanart of them it would look Super Bad! Children who don’t know who the characters are could see that and get groomed!!!! Think Of The Children!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway in light of all of this it’s clear that the only non-problematic ship is obviously shipping the Touden siblings together.

Stay safe and Always moralize shipping!!! Because dangerous evil people are out there right now waiting to force children to read their inappropriate smutty fanfiction, and We Must Think Of The Children. Yes even when it is clearly marked as explicit content for adults, we simply can’t allow anyone to have freedom of expression in fandom.

have u watched gavv's first episode yet? it is so good. it is so freaking good.

sorry to be getting to this so late, but I have finally seen the first couple of episodes! and! I am enjoying it immensely! :> I do think the second episode has a much better sense of what the tone and story is going to be; the first one had some interesting stuff going on, but felt more like a prologue than anything else. I'm feelin' it though! (and I hope Hajime is a recurring character, I liked his dynamic with Shoma and I was sad to realize he wasn't going to be part of the main cast. 😔)

it's still pretty early on (especially since I find riders tend to need about 10-12 episodes to settle into themselves) but I'm liking the intrigue they've set up, and the main characters seem promising! and I'm also very into the unexpectedly sweet reason for Shoma to be so obsessed with junk food. I wouldn't have thought you could do a tragic backstory for something like that, but...it kinda works?

IT'S FINALLY DONE! :D Here's an 8 page comic of one of the very very beginning scenes of The Hollowridge Disaster: the moment Knife and Adri meet Dianne.

Having done this comic means a lot to me for a myriad of reasons, but the main ones are that I really wanted to get better at paneling and do more interesting texture work. And, this is also both a homage to my older HR comics, and my (successful!) attempt at getting back into making comics for this story, so it truly feels like I'm in my prime with it and it's finally somewhere that I am immensely proud of :] so please enjoy this scene in quite literally all it's glory!

[Disclaimer: this is a standalone scene (of a larger story), but it's not the beginning of a long form comic. Currently I have no plans of doing that, but I would like to do more of these short ones! ]
