Moonwatcher; She’s like the definition of a Divination Wizard. Yes, her powers are innate which conflict a bit with the concept of the wizard class as a whole, but the fact that the Divination school covers pretty much all her canon abilities and the fact that she’s a big enough nerd that casting with intelligence makes more sense than say, the sorcerer’s casting stat being charisma, wizard just feels correct for her.

Kinkajou; Bard is, I think, the most evident immediate thought for her. College of Creation for her, for its emphasis on dance and song in its lore and for the fact that it gives a lot of extra utility to bardic inspiration. It’s Kinkajou, she’s gotta be a support class. I would additionally posit her as a rogue multiclass, particularly the scout archetype. Equating her natural camouflage to the rogue's stealth modifiers just comes pretty naturally, and scout in particular is all about being a fast, squirmy little guy who just kind of Appears during altercations, which feels befitting of her general abilities.

Winter; Paladin. No if-ands-or-buts this guy is a paladin. Oath of the Crown at the beginning, particularly to signify his relationship with his family and Icewing society in general. Post-character development I would argue him Oath of Devotion, since the tenets generally fall in line with Winter's Personal Beliefs, as opposed to Icewing Beliefs. Turtle; Divine Soul Sorcerer. I feel like Sorcerer is a very natural analog for Animus magic, and Divine Soul gives access to the cleric spell list. Turtle just feels like a healer to me. The math on this one is pretty cut and dry I think.

Qibli; Literally the definition of Inquisitive Rogue. You COULD argue Mastermind archetype instead-What with Insightful Manipulator covering the sort of over-analytical flavor, but I think Inquisitive beats it out for me. Mastermind proficiency that reflects the Scorpion's Den origins are easy to pick up elsewhere, and Inquisitive focuses a lot on Reading Others while Mastermind focuses on pure Manipulation. While Qibli is somewhat manipulative, it's not really in the Malicious for-my-own-benefit type of manipulation that Mastermind is built on. Plus, Turtle saying that Qibli's thinking of him and Turtle as a detective duo when he's trying to find a book genre to relate to is really funny. Additionally: Multiclass to Inquisitive Rogue/Fiend Warlock, if you're a fan of those "he does make a deal with Darkstalker" type AUs.

Peril; Wild Magic Barbarian. There's no real good analog to her firescales, and wild magic seems about as close as one can get to it. Beast Barbarian and multi-class Wild Magic Sorcerer, maybe, to reflect the fact that the firescales are a born ability ala sorcerer magic, and to have access to the bigger wild magic chart for fun? Either way, she's some sort of Barbarian, simply on the fact that violence is her best answer to, well, a lot of things. Carnelian and Umber a little hard, just on how little we have of them. I think they're both fighters, with Carnelian being Battle Master archetype and Umber being Banneret (Purple Dragon knight) archetype.

the trophies for the 2024 dutch gp are funny looking, but now that i could make out the words on them, the more i read, the more my heart sank.

it applies to all of them, to varying degrees, sure, but still.

so many sacrifices were made, are being made, for their dream to become reality, to be the best of the best, to rise above all. i have so much respect and admiration for that, but also so saddened by it, thinking of all the things they lost and had to overcome. things i could never have done, had failed in trying, and wouldn't ask of anyone, yet they went through it all. they all paid the cost.

update: i'm back and i thought about it some more while i was gone. if i don't write it all down, it will nag at me in the back of my mind. i thought about whether i wanna reblog or update this post and i'm feeling an update so here goes

there's something about seeing the drivers holding a trophy with these words written on them.

like, these are all concepts we are aware of, that they themselves are aware of. once again, it's the cost of making their dream a reality. they know what they are getting into, we know what they are getting into. yet… for them to be laid out like this, as a tangible object in these drivers' arm…

when i look at max, charles and lando holding the trophy high above their head, sun shining upon them radiantly as a sea of people cheer together in celebration of their achievement, i see it as the three of them triumphantly screaming "look at what i have overcame!".

when they cradle it in their arm, i see it as them nursing invisible wounds. physical, mental, and emotional wounds that they have collected over the years, some they got from when they were still so young, tiny little kids barely reaching their adult selves' waist, yet still ache til this day, because those wounds never truly healed, because it never really got a chance to, because it's an ongoing battle.

there's also the reality of knowing they are raising those trophies high today in victory, but comes morning, and the process repeats.

like i said previously, it applies to all of them, not just max, charles, and lando. anybody else on the grid could be on that podium today holding the trophy, and these thoughts would probably still gonna enter my head. it's inspiring and humbling. it was a sobering experience.

God knows how long it had been after it hit midnight when Yoongi stood in the kitchen. His eyes were red and heavy with drowsiness, but he couldn't sleep that night.

How does one sleep through a restless, biting night?

Surely not with a bad headache, or overflowing thoughts, and especially not with guilt chewing on his core.

He gulped, throat begging to be quenched as it held onto a slight, delicious, yet bothersome burning sensation. He opened the fridge and filled a glass with some water, raising it to his lips when loud a cry of his name, followed with a thud and a number of sobs, disturbed the quiet of the night and made him jump, startled.

His limbs froze in their place, glass almost slipping his hand and crashing on the floor when his sleep deprived brain realized that the muffled cries were yours.

Wide awake, he dashed after the sound. Thirst and sleep no longer occupied his mind, all he could think of was holding you in his arms.

He found you on the stairs, trembling as you wailed into your hands.

He hated it so much: seeing you in pain. He wanted nothing more than to shield you from the rainfall of your gloomy sky, from his own rainfall, from the world. How could one be an umbrella and the rain at once?

He blinked, once, twice, then gulped and heaved a deep, tired breath.

One storm doesn’t require another storm to be calmed down, that he knew. One needs to be composed and collected to stand still during a storm, that he knew as well.

With worried eyes, he gently called out your name and walked up to you, “darling, what’s wrong?”

You looked up as soon as you heard his worried voice, some tiny sense of relief washed over you when you saw him right there. A hundred daggers digged so deep into his heart and bones, aching, the moment a broken whimper of his name fell from your lips.

Without a second thought, Yoongi hugged your face to his chest. One of his hands was patting your back and the other affectionately caressed your head.

As he listened to his name that never left your lips, Yoongi held you there on the cold of the stairs with nothing but sweet nothings whispered back to your ears.

Everything he did and said was so gentle and soft, like he was so afraid you'd crack and come to tiny bits and pieces at any given moment. It all made you want to cry even harder, to hold him so tight and never let go.

Soon, when your tears started winding down, pulled away and cradled your face with his hands, palms faintly pressing on your cheeks as if he hoped to share their warmth with you.

Tender eyes met your wet ones and stared as their owner’s voice made its way through the noise of your sniffles and hiccups. He said, “It’s alright. I'm here. Talk to me, hmm?”

You answered his plea with a small nod, before wiping your tear stained skin and hugging him again. He smelt like home. You took a deep breath, greedily feeding your lungs with his lovely scent.

He hugged you back, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling your body closer to his. He pressed light kisses on your temple, patiently waiting for you to talk.

“I had a really scary nightmare. so, so scary- I woke up, didn’t find you there- then…then I remembered the fight we had earlier. I…I thought I lost you- I'm sorry. sorry for the stupid things I said earlier. I love you so much! please don’t leave. please..”

Your voice quivered with fresh tears ready to be spilled again. Yoongi started hushing you as soon as he noticed that you were working yourself up.

Squeezing you in his arms, he whispered “I never left, and I never will.”

“I’m all right, nothing happened to me, see?” he leaned away just enough to allow you to take a quick look at his body, then added, “a stupid fight is not going to make me leave. I love you way too much for that, and I'm sorry for hurting you too.”

He could still read fear and uncertainty all over your face, and he didn't like that. He knew that you trusted him, and he didn't doubt your love for him.

At first, he didn't get it. He didn't understand the insecurities, the anxiety and the nightmares you suffered from especially after the inevitably worst of arguments that happened between you and him. But after longer and deeper talks, with you expressing your feelings and him listening with careful ears, it made much more sense to him.

Sometimes he hated himself for triggering your alarms and making it harder for you, but he knew it was neither his fault nor was it yours.

Growth and pain are two key elements that come arm in arm with love, and fights are an unpreventable part of any kind of relationship. For all that, he always ended up blaming himself for making you question your worth to him when he can't even sleep without you happily cuddling his side.

Softly, lovingly, he started prepping tender kisses over your cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, temples, all over your flushed face.

It worked like watching waving fields of green wheat dancing with the wind, your storm started to slowly die down and your heart felt at ease again. slowly, but definitely.

Smiling ever so affectionately, Yoongi sealed his reassurance with a loving kiss that consumed you whole, and it left the corners of your mouth curving up in a dazzling smile. You nuzzled his chest and sighed.

“I really hate fighting with you.” you mumbled into his clothed chest, drained and light headed from all the crying and nearly-a-panic-attack you went through.

“I know, I'm sorry. I hate it too." he whispered back.

There was a pause of comfortable silence, with both of you breathing each other in, before he wondered aloud: “did you fall down the stairs? are you okay?”

You chuckled breathily at his question, recalling the hysteria he had to deal with just a few minutes ago. But Yoongi was there, right beside you. your arms were tightly wrapped around his torso, right by your side.

He had some kind of exceptionally irrepressible magic in those fierce eyes and that gummy smile of his, you inarguably couldn’t be more grateful for that.

“I'm alright. Was too busy crying, I didn’t even feel a thing to be honest.” you said, and he giggled.

“I love when you’re clumsy like that, but please be more careful, muffin. Can’t have you hurting yourself because of me even more." Even with your face buried into the crook of his neck, you could feel and hear the heavy pout in that comment.

Huffing, you leaned away with furrowed brows and a strict gaze. Yoongi gulped. Hesitation took over him, yet he knew that honesty is the only thing that must be present to drive this conversation to an end.

Honestly brings clarity, he found himself reminding himself of that very often.

"as long as we take care of each other, it's okay. I love you." you affirmed, and perhaps Yoongi almost teared up because of the way you looked at him right then and there. He wouldn't utter a word to spoil that information out loud, though.

The shy grin and the flushed cheeks you were met with were worth risking the entire world and its eight billion residents. You couldn't help but smile and pull him into another hug.

"This is great and all, but my butt is numbed. I think there's no blood flowing down there anymore," he said, his heart swooning when you giggled at his humorous change of topic, so relieved that he was finally able to hear your brightness again.

"Let's go back to rest, darling." He stood up, grabbed your hand and squeezed it in his, then gently pulled your body up and dragged you to your shared bedroom, where everything and everyone else meant little to nothing at all as you laid in each other's arms.

I still want to help organize a community name around the, for the sake of simplicity in this post I'm using my term, "Original Legend" niche of the LoZ community (I'm still collecting name suggestions too from my original post on it, please share suggestions wherever), but I have set up a collection on AO3 and a reading list on Wattpad (I know this is less popular in this community, but for the sake of building bridges) with the temp name "Expanding Hyrule" to try and help compile more fics for this niche for people to find.

I've mentioned a few times on this blog, I've only recently migrated to AO3 myself and so I'm still learning how it works. The collection should be open to entry, so if you know of fics that fit the niche/you write fics that fit this niche, please add them! Until there's enough folks who can see a poll for trying to pick a name, at the very least we can maybe put them in one place to get people motivated to participate in a selection. And if you have a work on Wattpad in the niche, please message me here with the link and I'll add it to that list, that one does have to be manual.

Tumblr Tips for the Twitter Migrant

Hey friends, as a long-time tumblr user who never left, allow me to offer a few tips to make your lives a little bit easier. This is targeted at the twitter community who moved here from the TTRPG community and are looking to run more “formal” blogs.

1. Use your tags!

It’s gonna make your own life ultimately easier. Yes, tumblr’s search functions are questionable, but you can generally rely on being able to find stuff via tag on your blog.

Reblogs do not show up in site-wide searches. So, if you tag a reblog as “pokemon,” it doesn’t show up in the site-wide pokemon tag. Not even if you added something in your reblog. But it will show up on your /tagged/pokemon. This is basically the best way for both you and your followers to be able to find and sort through your own stuff. So if a follower wants to find a specific post of yours, they can go to YourBlog/tagged/my stuff. And followers browsing your blog is pretty normal here—it is a blog, after all. Don’t be weirded out if someone suddenly likes your post from 8 months ago.

And for that matter, most people here also use tags for commentary. It’s generally less obtrusive than adding commentary to a reblog, so you can add some thoughts without necessarily interjecting - the OP doesn’t get any special notification unlike they do with replies or reblogs with text additions. It’s a little spice just for your followers. (Just be aware that they are visible in the notes.)

As a general rule of thumb, you shouldn’t use dashes in your tags (links get confused), but spaces are safe.

2. Reblog (& Reply Culture).

So unlike with twitter, replying to something doesn’t put it on your followers feeds. (In fact, your followers can’t even see your replies unless they actively interact with the post itself.) Your likes aren’t necessarily public. (They are, by default, but only if your followers have certain settings enabled will they be able to see posts you like on their dashboard.) Basically, if you have a post you want someone to see: reblog it.

Replies are mainly for quick comments. It’s a pain to hold a discussion in the replies, so it’s mainly just for a quick “this is a neat take” kind of comment. Responding by reblogging + adding commentary in the post is how discussion actually happens. That’s the equivalent of actually replying on twitter. Tag commentary is for informal thoughts that aren’t necessarily inviting active discussion. It’s the spot for anecdotes or funny commentary that whoever posted it doesn’t necessarily need to have put directly in their activity feed.

3. Use the Readmore

Unlike Twitter where nuance goes to die, you may have noticed there’s no such thing as character limits here. Tumblr does automatically cut long posts unless you change your settings, but it’s generally still considered courteous to put a readmore. This little button here (also ctrl + shift + k).

It’ll prevent people browsing your blog from having to scroll through a huge wall of text unless they actively want to. It’s a good way to keep things organized. I’m breaking my own rule here for the sake of accessibility, but in most other cases, if you’re doing a long thread-type post, you should usually cut it to be courteous. Especially if it’s image-heavy.

4. Post Types (Photo vs. Text Post)

Most of us are probably gonna be using image posts and text posts. You can put images in text posts, yes, but generally speaking, you shouldn’t. At least not large images. If you have multiple large images (like covers, for example,) a good rule of thumb is to put them all in one image post. It’s also more eye-catching when the pretty picture is at the top. This isn’t a hard rule by any means, but generally speaking, it should usually be either that or one flashy image at the top and a readmore to spare your browser.

Adrian Shepard has been primed for heroism her entire life. Her first chance ended in a tragedy, one neither she nor the Alliance has ever properly owned up to. Saren's betrayal and the beacon's vision offer her the chance to atone for her failure at Akuze, and she'll do everything in her power to do so - even (and especially) if it kills her in the process.

Or so she believes - but uncovering the truth means looking for allies, and the more she gathers, the harder it becomes to believe that her death should - or can - be the end; and that perhaps heroism is just a means of distraction from confronting her own demons.

Unnamed Pokemon Project

(Loose follow through/retelling of Pokemon: Soul Silver)

Giovanni Rossi, former leader of the Viridian City pokemon gym, has confessed to heading the infamous Rocket organization, whose poaching and illegal trade has devestated the Kanto ecosystem for the past twenty years. However, he claims it was all for a good cause - just prior to founding Rocket, Giovanni had been part of a team trying to create artificial pokemon... and their most viable subject escaped. Rocket existed for the sake of tracking down and eventually overpowering this creature, but now... well, he wishes those in the Kanto and Johto regions the best of luck.

Following a break in at the New Bark Town lab, an assistant to Professor Elm - a reclusive young man named Linden - tracks down the suspect, only to find it's none other than Silver Rossi, Giovanni's own son. The boy claims he wants to take down the creature his father helped create and clear his own name from the scandal... and Linden has reasons of his own that make him want to see how things play out, even if it means he must shadow Silver's journey by embarking on one of his own.

this  is  genuinely  based  off  of  experience,  but  if  your  blog  looks  pretty  and  organized,  people  will  definitely  flock  towards  it  more!  it  might  just  be  an  aesthetic  but  it  really  does  go  a  long  way,  because  at  the  very  start  i  didn't  even  have  any  graphics  in  my  intro  post  and  i  realized  activity  went  up  as  soon  as  i  did  make  a  graphic  and  improved  the  quality  of  vox's  reactions.  if  you  need  help  on  where  to  start,  @hellishradio  has  a  tutorial  on  their  faq  on  how  he  does  his  graphics  for  alastor's  reactions  and  i  personally  use  canva  for  my  own!

    3rd   :   consume/analyze  canon  media  of  your  muse!

your  portrayal  of  your  muse  is  half  of  the  appeal  of  your  askblog!  people  will  stay  on  if  they  find  your  portrayal  is  accurate  to  canon  or  agrees  with  their  idea  of  canon.  of  course,  since  your  running  the  askblog  it  also  should  agree  with  how  you  think  your  muse  should  be  portrayed!  and  of  course  the  best  way  to  answer  asks  the  way  your  muse  would  is  to  study  them  in  that  way  as  well.  ironic  as  it  sounds,  i  actually  really  hated  vox  when  i  first  started  this  blog  meaning  i  didn't  really  care  for  his  scenes—now,  i've  replayed  his  scenes  over  and  over  to  the  point  that  i  can  recite  probably  80%  of  his  lines.  i  even  did  impressions  of  him  and  spoke  in  his  voice  every  time  i  would  type  out  a  response  just  to  be  sure  that  the  things  i  typed  were  things  he  would  actually  say  HAHA  OMG  yeah  but  these  are  just  fun  little  suggestions  to  help  with  your  portrayal!

    4th   :   this  is  important;  if  your  muse  calls  for  it,  don’t  be  afraid  to  be  mean.

obviously  there  are  things  you  can’t and shouldn’t  say,  but  this  was  something  i  was  very  scared  about  when  i  first  started  roleplaying  vox.  you  can  skip  this  if  you’re  playing  someone  agreeable  but  i  thought  this  was  worth  saying  because  i  know  how  daunting  it  is  to  be  mean,  but  believe  me  when  i  say  it  makes  the  biggest  difference,  especially  when  portraying  someone  from  hazbin  hotel.  there  are  a  number  of  characters  besides  vox  (e.g.  velvette,  valentino,  adam)  who’s  insults  are  part  of  their  characterization,  so  definitely  do  not  be  afraid  to  be  mean  if  your  muse  is  naturally  a  mean  person! i think specifying that you’re only playing a character and that all of it is for fun also helps with the nerves!

    5th   :   reply  to  others’  askblog  responses.

it  also  serves  as  a  really  fun  way  to  have  short  interactions  with  others  in  the  fandom  and  a  really  cool  way  to  make  roleplaying  friends  and  mutuals!  it’s  basically  how  i  got  to  be  affiliated  with  the  blogs  in  my  intro  post,  and  of  course  people  from  that  person’s  askblog  will  check  yours  out  too!

    6th   :   an  honorable  mention;  try  to  make  funny  responses  if  and  only  if  you  can!

i  won’t  push  this  point  as  strongly  as  the  rest  because  i  understand  it  also  depends  on  how  your  muse  is  in  canon,  but  i  thought  it  was  worth  mentioning  anyway  because  it’s  what  personally  really  helped  my  blog.  (if  you’ve  been  here  since  the  ‘hdmi  cable’  response,  i  love  you  so  much  thank  you)  i  think  it  goes  without  saying  that  people  remember  funny  responses  more  than  others,  and  with  that  comes  a  smidge  of  extra  entertainment  for  them,  which  will  draw  them  to  your  blog!

I really don't mean to sound rude but why are you tagging your OCs/country humans stuff with the APH and HWS tags? APH England is not 'Arthur Aldwin', 'Marianne Durand' is not 'HWS France', so I don't know what you think you're doing but please keep it separate. You're free to have OCs but please understand that your OCs and these names you've made up have nothing to do with Hetalia characters. I get that you're young but this is why people find countryhumans fans so annoying. Also 'Mira' is not short for Marianne in English nor in French.

I tag it with my own names for organization on my blog, and I tag it with the hetalia tags because, even though I’m imagining different characters in my own head, it’s still applicable to others, at least in my opinion, so why not share it? The “Mr & Ms worldwide” joke can relate to any personification of FrUK for example (I have seen others that like hws!fem!france)

If theres a specific post that made you think this way, you’re welcome to present it, but if it’s just the names…you’re welcome to not read my tags. I reblog stuff about the hetalia characters while imagining it as my ocs, so I don’t see the issue in posting about my ocs when everyone else can think about hetalia with it. That’s why I (to the best of my memory) don’t get into personality- or family-specific things in the hetalia tags, because those are different characters. except things that do overlap, like both of the Alfreds loving NASA.

I call her Mira because, well, firstly I chose her name and can give her whatever nickname I want. But I do that because I originally gave her a different name that did shorten to Mira for a long time, but then changed it when I found out about the IRL Marianne. In-universe people call her Mira because she did used to have that old name, but changed it during the revolution.

And for the record, I observe my roots in CH, but really the only surviving pieces of it are…france & others being female, and there being more generations of each country. I’m not in the fandom anymore, the only interaction I still have is a few AMVs that were genuinely really good. Hetalia’s pretty much taken its place as the fandom I associate with to have fun with my OC versions.

Here are some posts I’ve made in the hetalia tags, and you’re welcome to explain how these cannot possibly be interpreted as the HWS characters and are instead purely OC-specific.

Alfred, Arthur, Matthew, and Jack have always appeared to be the hws fanon names for them in everything I’ve read, and I got Maria it from other people calling hws!Mexico that. Post 3 is in reference to parts of Alfred’s and Jack’s names; Jack having Kelly in his name was an idea I first got from a hetalia blog. Alfred’s is a part that yes, I did make up, but hey it’s funny and maybe this poster just decided to change the fanon name a little for the sake of this joke. I’m not the only person who uses the main tags while saying their own HC names.

On one hand, I definitely get not wanting to clutter things because I'm the same way. I feel really bad not reblogging a lot of posts because I just don't want my followers to be inconvenienced or annoyed. But also. Don't say your break was useless because you weren't productive. Though typing this, I realize I have the same way of thinking lol. You need breaks, even if you don't think they did anything for you. Especially with the sheer amount you're putting on yourself. It's probably lingering in the back of your mind the whole time, which definitely doesn't help you relax.

Imagine a machine that needs maintenance. If you don't make time to schedule the maintenance, it'll break when you're not expecting it. That's the same for a human. If you don't schedule time for breaks, your body or brain will do it for you.

It's easy to get to a point where you simply can't do the thing anymore because you're just so tired. I've experienced that quite a few times in my life actually. Hobbies, school, work, anything tires me if I keep pushing through it and eventually I just. Kinda collapse? Mentally and physically I guess? I'm still recovering from a lot of it actually (and getting noticeably better!)

What I'm saying is that you're definitely too hard on yourself. And I know you're thinking you don't "deserve" to feel tired, but everyone is different and there's never any guilt in taking breaks, or even lightening your load at all. (Like I remember you saying something a while back about the new TWOAL chapters being 4000 words? Which would be amazing of course! But also that's a LOT)

Though of course I'm exactly the same and FREQUENTLY feel like I'm not being productive fast enough, or making things of decent quality, and everything has to be PERFECT and FAST and whatever blah blah blah. I'm getting off track.

nfjnavfdnjfd I was trying so hard to prove you wrong. but also, reblogging as much as I do would genuinely clutter everything. Because I hated not being able to reblog, I made a side blog for it a while back. it's barely a year old and has 38,605 posts. This blog as less than 1050(which I can shrink even more if I go organize and declutter). I don't want to reblog stuff here, mostly for my own sake. I kinda freak out when things aren't how I vision them(which is always why I hate my writing at first), and not having this blog basically exactly as I want it will just make me cranky. I like having things organized(in my own way). I know it's odd and kinda frustrating from an outside point of view(or at least so I've been told), but I have to have it this way otherwise everything will go wrong.

Introduction

Hi! Call me Red.

I am a queer young adult artist with a passion for making stories! My pronouns are he/they/it.

Red 'Neath the Dogwood is a feline centric xenofiction world building project that is inspired by the blogs @/barrenclan, @/bonefall, @/trinitywc, and @/cathedralcomic, as well as published works such as Warrior Cats, Ratha's Creature, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and Watership Down. Other influences may show through, particularly the horror aspects present in media such as The Magnus Archives and Old Gods of Appalachia.

My goal with R'NtD is to create compelling groups with their own religious beliefs, food cultures, and a unifying language. The overarching story has not been decided yet, and while I flesh that out I will focus on characterizing the groups and who resides in them, along with creating unique roles and government systems for each.

This blog is a passion project and it is mostly just me working on it, with language help from my good friend @elkpaws.

Things To Know

Red 'Neath the Dogwood will not be a project for children and will include serious discussion of topics ranging from mental health, cultism, oppressive structures, and more. If these topics upset you, that is absolutely okay! This project will likely not be for you.

The main theme I want to portray with Red 'Neath the Dogwood is generational differences, finding one's sense of self, and what drives people to fall into fascist ideas. GROWTH, CHANGE, and PROGRESS, for better or worse.

This will likely be a story that follows many characters and will grow to reflect that, with different "arcs" and offshoot tales about characters within the three groups present. I will do my best to tag for organization's sake, but be warned that I am forgetful and might lose posts.

I will also try to remember to tag for triggering or otherwise upsetting subject matter, but if I miss something send me an ask and I'll take care of it as best I can.

Closing Thoughts

For now I believe this covers everything I can think of, and as this project grows I will likely rewrite this pinned post to reflect those changes. In future I hope to have several original tags set up for this blog, including things specific to food, culture, and character posts.
