right so here i am w MORE URIE BALLET HCS

- the first time urie went to a ballet class was against his will

- i wanna say hsiao took the quinx bc the way i see her move in the manga reminds me of a dancer…yeah she probably goes for cross training or smth

- urie was pretty reluctant and not looking forward to it at all. probably thought it was a waste of time

- but he so quickly came to love it. like by the time they were done with tendus (literally the second thing you do in a ballet class)

- i wanna say he was one of those people who didnt think much of ballet and ballet dancers, but after that class he really came to respect the art

- i’ve said before that i think he would appreciate the way it combines all of his fav hobbies - the creativity of art, the athleticism of working out, and ofc we rarely see him not listening to music in his headphones

- but i think what he likes most is the structure and discipline of ballet

- he’s someone who has a lot of thoughts at all times. ballet classes are very predictable and you should be focusing on the technique, so your brain kinda goes quiet. i think he would appreciate that

- anyway after that first class he’d kinda get obsessed w ballet but he would keep it to himself

- his fav company is the bolshoi ballet btw

- after a few weeks of obsessing, he would finally go to another class, but he would figure out when hsiao went and specifically go on different days. or he would straight up find a completely different studio

- idk why he’s so hellbent on hiding this new hobby bc you know the quinxes would be supportive as fuck

- the teacher really likes him because he’s always super focused and looking for corrections

- so the teacher asks him if he’d be interested in performing in the nutcracker with the company they’re part of (omg time for my fav urie ballet hc)

- urie hesitantly accepts because he really does enjoy ballet but he’s worried he’s not good enough and also that the quinxes will find out (again- why???)

- so he ends up being the cavalier for the sugar plum pas de deux, which he’s kinda like ???? because other than the nutcracker prince it’s one of the most coveted male roles in the nutcracker

- he’s also never done partnering before so he’s kinda nervous. very shy in rehearsals but also very cooperative with his partner. he wants to do well in everything so he works very hard and always asks for tips and feedback from his teacher and his partner

- he also finally comes clean to the quinxes about where he sneaks off to every night and theyre so excited to come see him dance. he thought they would tease him, but no one does because they can see how much it means to him

- they all come and sit in the front row. saiko also told takeomi and yoriko, and kaneki and touka so they all come too and urie is lowkey mortified

- he slays tho as expected

also his dream role is prince siegfried from swan lake (bc his fav ballet is swan lake), and he kinda wants to do the russian dance from the nutcracker bc of all the jumps

HAHA, you're really indulging me huh

Ohhh what to talk about. It's funny, they occupy my brain 24/7 but as soon as someone asks me about them then there's nothing in that little head of mine. I guess I'm just gonna ramble lol.

Today I've been headcanoning about Touka sitting and waiting next to Kaneki while he's in his coma. Saiko and Urie being next to her as well and Saiko asking her who she is since she and Urie shouldnnttt really know her iirc. She introduces herself and also says that she's nekis wife (I will never get over her "MY HUSBANDS WAITING FOR ME UP THERE" MY GOD, I DIED AND ASCENDED HEAVEN THAT DAY) and saiko and urie getting shocked at that.

Saiko gets sad about the fact that she missed the wedding (calling her mamans wife from then on 😭♥️) and Urie mutters "First Takeomi, now Haise......." which catches Touka's attention. Since they visited yorikos wedding, she probably asked Kaneki who the man is she's marrying and what he's like. So if they know takeomi then they should also know what happened to yoriko!

And she freezes up because since she found out about the execution, she probs completely avoided thinking about it nor engaging with the topic in any way. She already did canonically with Kaneki but he knows how she feels and how that is and can give her comfort in the nights when the pain is too much to bear. Touka silently crying while Kaneki hugs her and kisses her trying to ease the pain if not at least a little 🥺

She is too scared to even ask if yoriko's still alive, too afraid of the answer. And while she starts trying to form the question, she unconsciously holds kaneki's hand enclosed between her two hands and squeezes it. Trying to find the strength to ask that question.

Urie starts answering before she even finished forming her sentence, assuming maybe she wants to ask where they are and tells her that they left the city (IIRC LMAO).

She falls forward, relief going through her whole body and holds kanekis hand against her forehead. Saiko and Urie ask her if she's okay since her body starts shaking but she says that she's fine. Knowing that Yoriko is alive and well and away from all the insanity that is happening right now in Tokyo, she couldnt be more happier about it. Now she only needs the person in front of her to wake up.

Gahhhh, I'm just.... soooo damn soft for hurt/comfort AND THATS LITERALLY TOUKENS WHOLE THING. Makes me think about the way Kaneki was nervous about seeing Hide again after all these years and going for Touka's hand, wanting to hold it in order to ease that nervousness 😭🤲🤲🤲 THEY ALWAYS GO FOR EACHOTHERS HANDS WHENEVER THEY ARE IN NEED OF COMFORT.

Although I also really like the thought of Kaneki needing lots of physical comfort and touka needing emotional comfort while the way that they give comfort is both the opposite, Kaneki giving emotional comfort and touka giving physical one. Perfectly aligning <3

Hug Me Like You Mean It

A/N: Ever since I read @hamliet 's TG highschool AU I've thought about something similar but with ghouls still being a thing.

"Would you go out with me?"

She puts her tall glass of blood down on the counter, with a clunk. The question makes her feel like the world is on pause for a moment, although there's not much action going on in the dorm's common room to even pause in the first place. It's dead empty, actually, and probably a good time for asking someone out.

She can't help but wonder what kind of human would ask out a ghoul.

She doesn't know that many humans. At least, not on friendly terms, except for Yoriko, and a few people from her dorm - her roommate Akira mostly. She's not counting the ones who used to be human - they still confuse her, tying her feelings into tangled knots.

But Yoriko's middle school friend, Takeomi, is standing across from her, cheeks a bit pink. She's seen enough of him in gym class to know the logical reason he'd ask out a ghoul, instead of the human girls he seems pretty popular with. As humans go, he's a rare kind of strong. The ghoul kind of strong. I bet he'd like someone he can give a real hug to without cracking her ribs. On the other hand, he could've asked out any ghoul. She knows her personality is all spikes and sandpaper on the outside, so...

"Why me?"

He winces and his shoulders slump.

Shit. I gave him the wrong idea.

"Hey. Look at me. This isn't a no, really I think you're a good, solid kind of guy. I'm just curious, 'cause you could've asked anyone, and I know I'm pretty abrasive."

He's quiet for a moment. She can almost hear him thinking through her words.

"Two reasons, I guess. One is that Yoriko says a lot of good things about you. The other is a piece of dating advice from my dad: 'if you find a good woman who doesn't know it, pick her and show her' is what he always said."

She feels her face go hot, she has to be bright red.

"Well I think it's working, because I've been much less grumpy with you than I usually am. One more thing," and she watches Takeomi perk up, "I bet I know why you asked out a ghoul."

He blushes heavily but doesn't say anything. She opens her arms wide.

"Come here and hug me like you mean it."

Yoriko wants her ears pierced. This comes up in conversation in front of Suzuya, who is probably over at her and Takeomi's place because Suzuya likes sweets and Yoriko bakes extra. A *lot* of extra.

Suzuya mentions having the right tools in his pockets.

Yoriko's just like "let's do this before I lose my nerve".

Suzuya's comment at the end of it is that it's "easier than doing piercings in the mirror" while gesturing to all his skin stitches.

(Does Suzuya end up being everyone's weird friend who does piercings and is paid in candy and sweet pastries? Yes. Yes he does.)

Some hcs for how Yoriko/Takeomi, nakimiza, fururize, and maybe tsukikana are with their baby who won’t stop crying at 2am?

Yoriko/Takeomi (they don’t get enough love!)

- Takeomi is rocking their child and offering silent prayers.

- Yoriko is in the kitchen brewing coffee/texting Touka for more advice. It’s gonna be a long night.

- Takeomi confesses this is harder than fighting ghouls, and they should be promoted to special class for this.

Nakimiza

- Naki is terrified, but covers the kid in kisses.

- Miza checks all the books to see if the baby is teething or has something medically wrong.

- When she’s satisfied the kid is healthy, they take turns cuddling the baby until it sleeps. 

Fururize

- Furuta is crying as hard as his kid.  “Please, I’m begging you, tiny demon, go the hell to sleep.” 

- He’s trying to quiet the baby so Rize can get some sleep, and failing miserably.

- Finally, Rize awakens. She marches straight in, declares the kid hungry, and sure enough, after bottle-feeding, their kid is calm again.

Tsukikana

- Like Furuta, Tsukiyama is also sobbing, but that’s because he doesn’t know what is wrong with his baby and wishes he could help.

- Karren decides to sing a German lullaby. She and Shuu take turns serenading their child in different languages. 

- As soon as the baby sleeps, Shuu asks her if she wants to make another.

✨Tokyo Dance Festival✨

The long-awaited dance festival has begun in Tokyo, where many people and of course couples came to have fun and have a good time. A whole crowd has gathered on the dance floor and every person dances differently.

Kishou × Eto

They are two very different people, not only in life but also on the dance floor. During a slow dance, they behave rather calmly and passively towards each other, but when the music changes to more energetic Eto breaks out of his hands and begins to dance with all her soul. And even in spite of his too cold nature, Arima also tries to support her in this, but he doesn’t do it as well as hers. Many people laugh about it (except for Hirako and Ui)

Take × Kaya

They don't know how to dance (I can say they don't know how to do it at all), but sometimes they attend such events with friends. They go to dance a slow dance, but after 5 minutes of slow movements they fall asleep in each other's arms and stand there until one of the dancers touches them. After that, they will probably go home before everyone else or stay and spend time together over a cup of coffee.

Uta × Itori

They are the most active and professional couple on the dance floor. Between them is the perfect energy that allows them to have fun in full. Uta knows a lot of dance moves, and Itori is good at playing along with them, complementing their dance well. Everyone looks at them with surprise and admiration, and some girls even begin to envy Itori and her great partner.

Ayato × Hinami

Ayato doesn't like dancing, but he went to the festival for Hinami and his sister (since she threatened to kill him if he didn't go with Hinami). He feels very insecure and cannot get rid of the thought, which looks very ridiculous. He wants it all to end as soon as possible and he will leave here, but when he looks at happy Hinami, who doesn’t stop repeating that he dances well, all his thoughts fade into the background, continuing to dance with her and not taking his eyes off her

Koutarou × Akira

Amon has been waiting for this festival for a long time to invite Akira to it and have a good time with her together. For this, he even took some dance lessons for this. Akira is not a fan of such events, but accepted Amon's invitation. He is still unsure of himself and during the waltz he keeps counting from one to three so as not to miss the rhythm. She finds it funny and when she starts to move with him he becomes more confident.

Nishiki × Kimi

Despite his arrogant and rude nature, he adores dancing with his beloved girlfriend. For all the time that they were together, they never missed a single festival, although at first he was against it. But every year he became more and more emancipation. They always dance energetically and cheerfully, so much so that compared to other couples who dance slowly and calmly, they can seem quite crazy

Koori × Hairu

At first glance, it's difficult to say, but Ui knows how to dance (and even better than many of his colleagues). He went to the festival with Hairu as she is very fond of such events where they can have fun. At first they dance a slow waltz, but if he starts drinking then his dance becomes very strange and ridiculous, but Hairu likes it and she starts playing along with him, not thinking about the opinions of others. Although he will regret it the next day when Hirako sends him a video of their dance.

Takeomi × Yoriko

I can call them the most ideal and adequate couple on the dance floor. They are very gentle with each other. During the dance, they keep their loving eyes on each other, even though Takeomi is significantly taller than her. They feel each other perfectly and that’s why they manage to stay in their rhythm.

Ken × Touka

Despite the fact that Touka made her brother go to this festival, she didn’t want to go there, because she doesn’t know how to dance at all and she did not want to disgrace herself and her boyfriend, but for his sake she agreed. When everyone went to the dance floor, Kaneki was also going to go with Touka, but she hesitates, explaining everything to him. He didn’t get upset and offered her his help and do as the body tells her. Over time, she no longer feels this fear and with great pleasure begins to dance with him.

There's something just so fun to me about how all of the characters in Tokyo Ghoul are connected to each other. Most series' minor characters are just that — used as filler or backgrounders. But in Tokyo Ghoul, everyone feels important and relevant but most of all connected.

Naki fought Akira, allied with Tsukiyama, and worked with Hinami in Aogiri for a time.

Takeomi married Yoriko (who is friends with Touka) but also highly looked up to Haise and was a part of Hirako's squad and was friends with Shirazu & Saiko (along with Yoriko)

Hide and Kimi are the "token" human characters, yet Kimi ended up working with Kanou and Hide with Marude (and implicitly Eto and maybe Arima)

With nearly every character, there's a whole web of interactions and relationships. There's not just a lot of history but a lot of potential for future interactions too.

Toss up between hidekane and seiakimon but I’m gonna go with seiakimon bc there are So Many Thoughts with these three. Akira and her two ghoul boyfriends

Obviously Takizawa need So Much Therapy before any romance stuff can happen so we’re gonna assume he’s been getting the help he needs for this (and so have Akira and Amon honestly, they’re not completely insane but they’ve got problems too).

SEIAKIMON COULD HAVE BEEN SO SO GOOD.

Taki was the only one who truly saw Akira as Akira. People in the academy chalked up her success to the fact that both her parents were investigators and didn’t acknowledge the work she herself put in. Everyone saw her as a product of her parents except Takizawa. He competed with her, not her parents and that’s why Akira liked him. He saw her as a bitch because he was jealous of her natural talent and how she often got more opportunities than him in the CCG, she got to go on missions while he was stuck in the office even though they were equally talented. And don’t even get me started on them only ever seeing each other from the side and the first time they truly look straight at each other is when Akira throws away her life career to protect Taki and lays her heart bare to him, telling him about how she tried to live up to everyone’s expectations but failed and how she never stopped thinking about him, wondering if she had just stopped him at the Owl Execution Operation. That shit hurted.

Of course we’ve also got the canon Akira and Amon, they work alright but need some more development. I really think Ishida has no clue how to write romance, every single one just comes out of left field, most prominently Yoriko and Takeomi. “Hey, haven’t seen you in a long time, nice to see you again. Anyway, you make good bread, wanna get married?” ????????

And with the right development, Amon and Taki would work well too. Amon’s closeted bi ass learning that it’s okay to be queer (thanks Donato for instilling religious trauma into this himbo /s).

In conclusion: Akira has two hands.

Takeomi Kuroiwa

Slight NSFW

When he was a small boy, he accidentally broke a lot of things and always felt really bad about it, until his father told him it wasn’t his fault.

He’s allergic to fur, but really wants a bunny or a hamster. Takeomi really loves fluffy animals (and watches cute cat videos regularly, in secret).

His favourite colours are Orange and Purple.

I feel like he wouldn’t have the best relationship with his father, because he always fall into his shadow rather than being his own person. It hurts him.

Takeomi is a very family oriented person! He likes children and loves the idea of having two or even three of his own.

He has a soft spot for chocolate cake and sugar cookies; or sweets overall.

I headcanon Takeomi as Bi or Pan. I feel like he doesn’t mind what gender his s/o is as long as he loves them and they love him.

I think he really likes board games.

Once kuramoto helped him with the concept of Snapchat and Instagram to them understand better, he made an account where he posts cool dishes he gets at restaurants in his spare time and likes taking pictures of his friends and cute animals.

Takeomi really loves how kindhearted and genuine Yoriko is.

He occasionally tries to help her while cooking.

Yoriko is the one who always does his tie in the morning because she really enjoys it, even if Takeomi can do it by himself.

She is good at picking up on his emotions even with the blank look he usually has.

But once they do they’re practically inseparable, especially due to how much Urie has lost in his life - he is afraid of losing another person close to him.

Takeomi really likes cuddling Urie close to his chest, and even though Urie won’t admit he really likes it too.

Urie really dislikes sweets, but has such a soft spot for Takeomi he is willing to heartily eat anything sweet Takeomi makes for him.

Takeomi loves cooking for Urie.

Urie is way too stubborn to be a bottom. But once, he gives in and becomes the very definition of a power bottom.

Takeomi is extremely loyal to Urie and often verbally reminds him of that.

If Urie is getting any more obsessive thoughts or having another breakdown - Takeomi always rushes to his side to be a steady force in his life.

With a s/o

Takeomi is a very loving boyfriend and an even more loving husband.

Once again, he is very loyal and treats his s/o with so much respect at all times.

He appreciates anything his s/o makes for him, whenever it’s food or one of their hobbies, he will be very thankful for it and will cherish it greatly.

Because of how much time he spends at work usually, he’ll feel slightly bad for how long he’s leaving his s/o on his own and will text them throughout the day. When he comes back, he often gifts them flowers or chocolates and give them any missed affection they wished for.

He’s extremely patient with his s/o in everything, any situation. Takeomi is willing to take any situation slow and help them ease into absolutely anything. He is there for them at all times and tells them that often.

His work is dangerous and he is aware he may die, so he cherishes his moments with them a lot and often tells them he loves them. A lot.

He takes things very carefully and gently in bed, he’s aware of his own strength and does not want to accidentally hurt them when he’s lost in the grips of passion. Takeomi is very loving and considerate in all his actions.

He makes the dictionary meaning of making love pale in comparison to how he takes things with his s/o.

Takeomi is naturally very calm, and if anybody is harassing his s/o he will try to talk things out and sort them fairly; but god forbid anyone raised their hand onto them or tries to physically harm them and he will not hesitate to jump into their defence immediately. He swears no harm will be done onto them.

He really wants children with his s/o; adopted or their own he really doesn’t mind.
