Inspired by Lor (@figmentforms)'s amazing comic, A Tale of Two Rulers, precisely page 249.

This page... broke me, to put it simply. I know that in the story nothing would come out of it but I wanted to see him hugged, even if this was only in a friendly manner.

As you can see, there are two versions and they basically follow each other "plot" wise.

Side note: As of today, the next page has been released and no matter what Vaati is scheming (because of course he was scheming), I will always just be there, staring at him lovingly.

Alright Zelda fandom. I see your loving Ganondads. I see your growing up gerudo dads and tales of two rulers dads. They’re all great Ganondads!

BUT

I would like to raise you. Reluctant Ganondad!

Picture this! Link and Zelda are very young (like wind waker age) and they both have unfortunate home lives. Link has no family and was essentially raised in the castle training day in and day out. Zelda only has her dad who is just like Roahm in botw but worse. They both absolutely hate that they have to do all this (at such young ages too). Well the time comes for them to fight ganondorf. He’s expecting full grown adults, not literal toddlers.

He absolutely refuses to beat up children, but they aren’t leaving. They obviously need actual tlc and a goddamn nap.

He takes them in and takes care of them. They keep trying to fight him and he just shuts down every attempt (like calming a bratty toddler down from a tantrum). And eventually he just flat out refuses to allow them to go back to their awful homes and there’s peace in hyrule forever the end!

Link is reborn as Zelda's daughter, and while she’s still just a kid, Ganondorf arrives at the border of Hyrule, ready to invade. In a effort to break the cycle of violence (or at least buy some time for Link to grow up in secret as the princess of Hyrule, Rinku) Zelda offers to marry Ganondorf and share the kingdom to keep it from being destroyed by war. Part 248 of  “A Tale of Two Rulers” (May 1, 2024)

A month late, but done! Thank you all so much for your patience. ^_^'

I got unexpectedly delayed by a wonderful surprise! After all the surgeries and ivf, my husband and i got extremely lucky. Our embryo lived and will be born around late fall/early winter! I'm just as surprised as I am thrilled!

 i'm also apparently one of those pregnant people who gets very, very, VERY sick in the first trimester. This was the hardest update i've done in ages just because it's very hard to think clearly and move one's hands precisely when you're constantly fighting off vomiting and unexpectedly falling asleep all the time. I was nervous to say anything at first because i wasn't sure if the baby would live, but it's been several weeks and so far he seems very strong so I think it's ok to give word of his existence (I'm so proud of my lil' one! Fight! Fight! Fight, Lil' Dude! <3).

More pictures of my Ganondorf Tattoo in different and better angles! Just finished TOTK, and bawled my eyes out (with a six minute sobbing rant im not sure is cohesive enough to post) but because of it im thinking about a Demon Dragon tattoo to add onto it, perhaps with a marbled gloom style with red and blue, kind of like traditional Japanese clouds with a suminagashi style? There are more concepts to be had while I get through school and artwork!

Ganondorf as a character meant so much to me, since playing ocarina for the first time, becoming obsessed with the first poc (black for little baby me) character I got to see in fantasy media and desperately needing him to have MORE CHARACTER, to the amazing interpretations of the Zelda fans that got me to where I was in art today. His character means so much to me because of the world it introduced me to. Yay!

I just received my "The Art Behind A Tale of Two Rulers" book from @figmentforms Etsy shop and it is truly one of the most magical things I've graced my eyes on. There are very few things in this world that fully enrapture me like the story and art of Lor produces. And having followed them and their comic for a little over half a decade at this point I'm so blessed and privileged to have found something so meaningful to me and to have experienced to impeccable story that Lor has crafted and illustrated here! I feel so strongly about this and I have so many emotions seeing just a glimpse into the behind the scenes of something I hold so close to my heart.

I will also support and believe in Lor as a creator no matter what ❤️ If you see this Lor know that you will always have my unconditional love and support in and outside of this sphere because I truly believe in you as a person ❤️❤️❤️

Comics?

Hi Ghoap people! And shippers from the COD universe! I see comics are popular (Im also a sucker for those so dont worry!)

And I was wondering: What are the bare minimums for you to enjoy a comic? You see, I never really worked on a comic. I tried years ago for a project of some sort in my local area but never got anywhere. I always struggled with my art, perfection, proportion etc I put a lot of pressure on myself and projects a lot and either i dont do much effort or I do WAY too much and it burns me out. I get overwhelmed and it’s not fun. I am always feeling some imaginary pressure from others as I often got judged in the past and got my things examined closely and it started to get me paranoid and make me feel not good enough. Thats why I never published art before I joined Ghoap in over ten years or so. Im also terrified of art thieves and even more of all that AI shit going around. I want to be credited and known for my art, not be forgotten while my art keeps being reposted you know? SO if I were to make a comic (at least try) and tell a story, what are the bare minimums requirements? I see some comics have amazing art and I know I can’t deliver that. But I do see diversity of style from the 1Farm1 AU from Grimmzee to the Monster 141 AU from Bluegiragi to the CoffeeShop AU from Blueishfishfood and many more I’ve seen here and there. Some have backgrounds, some dont and some have simple elements. Some have amazing details and shading, some have basic shadings etc But what they all have in common is: getting proportions quite good if not excellent. And amazing angles instead of the basic standing/sitting. And all those nice facial expression that makes it nice to read what the character might feel. Especially the eyes for characters such as Ghost or Roach. Aaaand I know colors don’t matter. So at least there’s that. So what are the minimum requirements? I don’t expect doing amazing fight scenes like the Monster AU, I am clearly not that talented ahah but I know that it’s more interesting to have… something more than standing characters all the time. So please in the comments, let me know? Show me exemples? Doesnt have to be COD related but just comics from people around the internet who do it for fun and not professionals working for DC Comics for example ahah I just want to tell stories so badly but I know that writing is… a lot for me. Too much even. I’ll keep trying… but it’s complicated for now. And I know that comics are a great way to see your art get better with time! Lots of mangaka got better the more time passed so.. Why not me? Oh also another comic I’ve been following for years is A Tales of Two Rulers by Figmentforms And THAT is something I can never achieve. The attention to details and the shading and… UGH <3 But it still makes me want to tell a story. So please, comment and let me know! <3 Thank you! -Dexterlittle

Thank yo all so much for your usual patience and kindness! Next update will be in about two months. Hopefully sooner.

I won't be able to go do conventions for a while since getting sick right now would be very very very bad timing with my medical situation, so I took on a big commission and a kickstarter to supplement my income a bit, so that will slow me down. If you happen to like Mothman or/or ita bags, you may like the upcoming KS. I will make a post when it's ready, but I promise I won't spam about it.

(Also, comic will be looking a little different like this from now on because my old set up broke and i had to switch to another one. ^_^')

Yay for not having cancer! A nice relief there! I'm now taking the various medications required to start my first embryo transfer. I'm really excited but also nervous. It will happen in just a few weeks and i'm really praying that the lil' guy lives and gets to be born. lol, now to enjoy the impossible task of trying to NOT be STRESSED as HARD AS I CAN.

Hi!!! Last episode of LOR was super awesome, you two make a great work! but now I'm super worried for Alex, poor guy :((( Since you've mentioned it, what are your general thoughts on A Tale Of Two Rulers? I just read it and I liked it A LOT (but I'm terrified for Rinku 0_0)

A Tale of Two Rulers is great! I was astounded by the art when I found it, it felt like a dream come true to see a Zelda comic drawn so beautifully. And I am such a sucker for enemies to lovers relationships, I'm pretty sure that comic was what originally got me on the Zelda x Ganondorf train, prior to that I was like "ew???? why the fuck-" but now I'm like nah, it works, this is my jam LOL

IIRC I started reading around the time their marriage was officially happening which is... wild, because that was YEARS AGO LOL Pretty sure I have my name printed in the first volume of the comic as a Patreon supporter as well ;D

The unfortunate thing though is that updates are very slow, so the schedule can be a bit erratic and I feel like the pacing has definitely suffered a bit due to that. But fortunately they announced they'd be going back to regular monthly uploads soon. In their defense, they're currently dealing with a lot of scary health stuff, so that's definitely something that takes precedent over uploads!!! And it makes it feel even more special when it does update, whenever I see the Patreon email notification pop I get so excited, it's like Christmas LOL

P.S. this is my go-to sass response that I only bring out for special occasions LMAO
