Although her previous 1986 memoir, I Tina, detailed her life up to that point including her dynamic comeback album, Private Dancer, My Love Story picks up the ensuing years triumphs and struggles. ⠀ ⠀ In recent years she’s overcome a stroke, cancer, a kidney transplant and suffered the loss of her eldest son, Craig, to suicide last year. In the book, Tina reminds us to “keep going” as she’s consistently done. I take her words to heart as I work through my own challenges and also in the pursuit of my dreams. ⠀ ⠀ Tina has even inspired me to practice Nichiren Buddhism, which she credits for changing her life for the better over 45 years ago.
