every single playthrough I try my hardest to get the leaking bloodbag line from Cap Grizzly and Astarion but I can never get it. I really don't want to not save Mayrina when I play again because I feel bad for her plus I like xp lmfao. I wish there was like a code I can plug into the script extender where I can just force that line. Its sad too bc I'm almost positive I've gotten that line way back when the hags quest was severely bugged and would never check off as completed :/ if anyone knows if I can cheat it please let me kno

edit: i know u can use a code to get a bug of Gale talking about a dinner date after speaking to tara but you can only get it if you are romancing him but that essentially fixed it so I'm hoping there's a code that just lets me get that stupid dialogue. It sucks also because whenever I try looking up how to get it I get different answers :(

Fanart for Miraculous Team volume 10: Cosplay Chaos.

A lot happens in this volume: Hawk Moth recruits another lieutenant, Max discovers a device that could expose the Kwamis, the Japanese Expo comes to Paris, and Marinette is commissioned to help a mysterious cosplayer with her costume.

The whole thing is a love letter to pop culture and comic conventions. In my favorite chapter the team discusses people cosplaying as their hero selves, and they mention some creative gender benders. I’ve illlustrated some of the genderbends mentioned.

grizzly tales for gruesome kids: 5/10

absolutely fucked. what even was that?? every person i've talked to about it only seems to remember the episode where the kid was always late and the world ended w/o him, probably aided in my love of gothic aesthetics and subcultures, love the old-time cinema aesthetic but the dude who worked there gave me nightmares and im still really suspicious about eating popcorn without checking to make sure it's not bugs, again what the fuck was up with that show

Takeover Lisanna ideas

because ya’ll fucking delievered and I don’t deserve it. I have some artistic abilities, but I have no access to digital art supplies, and I cannot draw on my phone, so I try to go into as much detail as possible.

My headcanon is that Lisanna can take the form of animals she’s come into contact with, including mythical beasts like Dragons.

Angler Fish—Mermaid @sonnets-of-beauty

Lisanna is 5’2” in her human form, but transformed into her Angler Fish she’s 8’4”, with her tail taking up 3/4 of her body

Her tail begins just below her hip bones, it brown in color and trails down into a fluorescent green. She has two pectoral fins that are by her hip. She also has two fin rays below the pectoral fins that are luminescent like the one attached to her forehead.

She has fluorscent green fins attached at her elbows, and her forearms are cover in brown scales. Her fingers are webbed with the fluorescent green, as are her ears.

She has scales trailing up her adomen covering her breasts, and has scales dotting along her shoulders and cheeks. Her eyes are black, her pupils blinding white.

She gets hypnosis in this form, but at a small extent.

Lisanna is 20 ft long, once again, her tail 3/4 of her body. She quadruples in size, make her larger than anyone else by a long shot.

Her tail starts below her hip bones. Her face is painted white, trailing down her stomach to the end of her tail. Her eyes are painted black, like heavy eyeliner. Her back is black, with spotted white along her tail. She has a dorsal fin and two pectoral fins. She has a black sports bra.

Her massive size is helpful in this form.

Jellyfish—Mermaid @ella-tara

Lisanna is 10ft long, her tail taking up 3/4 of her body.

Her tail is light pink, and has the ruffle-like fins of a jellyfish. Her hair grows a bit longer, and the ends turn pink, being the stinging tenacles of the jellyfish. Her eyes are pink as well. She has a white sports-bra.

She’s able to produce poison in this form.

Scorpion @ella-tara

She unlocks this form after performing a Unison Raid with Lucy in her Scorpio star-dress.

She has the same fullbody suit as Lucy, and her hair is pulled back into a singlar ponytail like Lucy’s, with the same headband baring the Scorpio symbol ♏️.

Starting at her hips, her body turns into that of a scorpion, with the 6 legs supporting her. Her tail, itself, is 5 feet in length and her scorpion body is red with black accents like that of Scorpio’s. Her eyes are bright red.

She stands at 7 feet tall in this form, mostly due to the Scorpion’s body. She is able to produce poison in this form.

Lisanna gets a fur-like brown body-suit that goes to her shoulders and thighs, with a brown tail on the butt of the suit. She wears black shorts with bandages from her elbows to her forearms, and from her tights to her forelegs.

She has bear arms and legs from the arms to her fingers, knees to her toes. And two little bear ears on top of her head.

She gets super strength in this form.

Fire Dragon @animateddragon & @emily-nightwalker

She unlocks this form after a Unison Raid with Natsu (she can unlock more if she did a Unison Raid with the other dragonslayers).

Lisanna in this form looks similar to Natsu’s Dragon Form in Dragon Cry.

She grows horns that are permanently flaming, and has red scales that cover cheeks that stretch to her enlongated ears. Her hands and feet grow claws and digitigrade to her knees and elbows. She has wings made of fire, than can harden and shoot scales at opponents. She also has red eyes with slited pupils. Lisanna has a full body jumpsuit similar to Mirajane’s Satan Soul.

Lisanna can fly, shoot scales, and mimick Natsu’s Dragonslayer attacks in this form.

Lisanna wears a sleeveless white dress that ends at her knees. Her forearms grow white fur and her hands turn brown, like hooves. Her forelegs also grow white fur and has real hooves for feet, her legs digitgrade. She has moose antlers and ears. She has white tail.

Lisanna has strong, sharp hooves, and has a bit of super strength in this form.

From her pelvis bones down, her legs completely covered in brown fur, and digitgrade to hooves. She has a tiny boar tail. She grows boar horns on the sides of her face, and grows brown boar ears.

She wears golden armor plate, with shoulder pads. She carries an battle axe, like Taurus, and has a septum piercing.

Lisanna gets super strength and a battle ax in this form.

Speaking battle axes, Lisanna turns into a stereotypical Minotaur in this form.

She grows fur from her pelvis down, digitgrading the legs, like the last few, and has a tail. Her ears turn into an Ox’s and grows horns.

Lisanna wears a full-body suit with a mask, like Spiderman. Its a dark blue suit with black and red webs decorating her jumpsuit. The eyes of her suit are a light blue.

She can summon four more arms that help her maneuver around. Underneath her mask, she has eight eyes that are pitch black, and fangs that are retractable.

She has superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility, ability to cling to most surfaces, accelerated healing, precognitive “Spider-Sense”, and able to shoot strong spider-web strings from wrists.

Lisanna wears a skin-tight black body suit that covers her limbs. Her feet end with tarsi as she stands. Lisanna has four arms and grows two black, thick horns on her head. Her nose twists up into that of a Rhino beetle, and her eyes turn black.

Lisanna unlocks this form after a Unison Raid with Lucy in her Leo star-dress.

Lisanna wears the same dress as Lucy with the Leo symbol ♌️ on her right breast. Lisanna’s forearms and forelegs that have golden fur and claws, like that in her Cat form.

She has matching Lion ears and tail with Loke, and her hair grows thick, like a Lion’s mane. She has cat eyes.

Lisanna can use Regulus in this form.

Box Babe - Survive (Part 1)

A/N: hello and welcome to the second timeline in my Box Babe series! This occurs a few weeks after Katie’s training ends, so she’s being transferred to her Master. @fairybean101’s OC, Tara, will be featured in this timeline as well!! Anyways, let the whump begin!

“Six weeks on a fuckin’ boat,” Katie grumbled, her voice low and croaky after the rough sleep she had just woken from. “Six weeks going around, watching other girls get fuckin’ dumped off to disgusting pervs, waiting for our turn to get our death wish. Six weeks in this freakin’ shipping container, barely getting any food so we stay skinny. How - and why - the fuck are we still alive?” 

Tara stirred beside her, waking from her slumped seat to lazily look over to Katie. “So you’re grumpier than usual today. Been a while since I’ve heard you cuss so much...I think the last time I heard that many was-”

“In training, with freakin’ Fabio,” Katie finished for her, shaking her head at the dismal memory. “I...sorry for waking up grumpy. You’re probably sick and tired of me,” she leaned up against the bars of her cage, looping her hands through to reach for Avery’s. 

Ava’s delicate fingers locked on to hers, giving a reassuring squeeze. “It’s okay, really. You know that I’ve been there before too,” she looked around with a playful grin, then lowered her voice. “Besides, I wouldn’t trade waking up to your ferocious ass every morning for any of these other gals,” Tara commented, “We’ve all lost a lot of fight in us at this point, everyone except you.” 

Now that made Katie smile, but Tara always makes Katie smile. If they could be together throughout this ordeal, then Katie could totally handle this whole Box Babe thing. With Tara, she could smile, laugh, cry, yell - just feel normal (well, as normal as two Box Babe girls could feel). However, Katie knew they didn't have a lot of time left. They’re six weeks into an eight week shipment, and only a quarter of the original population of girls remains. It’s about time for one of them to go too.

“Thank you...for everything. Really. You’ve changed my life,” Katie’s smile softened, her lip turning up on one side. Her eyes remained locked with Tara’s, taking in the way the sunlight illuminated her honey brown eyes.

“Don’t go thanking me like that,” Tara quickly cut Katie off, pulling away abruptly. “We have time, stop acting like we don’t.”

Here we go again, Katie internally grumbled, but nonetheless she reached for Tara’s hand again - but Tara grumpily pushed up against the opposite wall. “We have no idea what’s going to happen to us. It’s time to start accepting that. We could end up halfway across the world from each other, we could end up at the same place. Neither of us have a clue.”

If Katie squinted hard enough in the dim lightning, she would’ve been able to see Tara’s bottom lip tremble slightly - the closest she’s ever come to crying since they’ve known each other. “Stop, okay? Just stop. We’re going to be fine, so just...stop it.”

“Tara, just listen to me!” Katie began, but the familiar clank of the shopping container door opening shut her up right quick.

They only check in three times a day, thirty minutes each. It’s easy to act pathetic for such a short period of time, to bend to their wills in order to get food and water and avoid punishment. All it takes is stifling dignity and pride, but all the girls lost that quite a long time ago.

It’s that man again - the one with the dark suit, the dark eyes, the dark hair. He only comes in when it’s time to transfer a girl to the Master. Please, not me or Tara, Katie pleaded to whatever god might be out there, sink the boat, let us escape! Just not us!

“Goooood morning, Box Babes!” The man exclaimed, surveying the dismal and depleted population that remained. Their eyes cast down, all focused on some invisible point on the floor. Making eye contact earned a hit, talking back a beating, and fighting it all...well, no one has done that on the ship yet.

“I’m sure you’re all eager to get sent your Masters,” the strange man continued, and all the girls nodded their heads with fake eagerness. “The lucky winner today is...461837!”

Katie’s head snapped up as her heart dropped in her chest. No, no, no. This has got to be a dream. Or some kind of universal joke, right? Katie backed up against the wall of her cell, her breathing becoming rapid as her pumping heart thudded in her eyes.

She drew attention to herself. The strange man’s head snapped to her, their eyes locking for a brief moment before she tore her head away to look to Tara. Tara had moved to press herself against the cell wall between them - Katie hadn’t even heard her move there - and her hand slipped through the bars again. In a hurry, Katie scurried over and looped her fingers with Tara’s.

“Wait!” The strange man interrupted, the excitement in his voice sending chills down Katie’s spine. “Just kidding, we have two winners! The other is...” Katie exhaled in relief. It’s Tara. Her and Tara are going together. Thank god. 

The knowledge that her and Tara would stay together made this a whole lot easier. She let herself be pulled away away by the guards, hardly even fighting. She was so, so, so tired - for weeks, she’s been stressing about this moment. Now that it’s finally here, and it’s exactly how she wanted it to go, it felt silly fighting it. Is that a bad policy to have? Probably. 

Katie kept her eyes down as they hurried to start the packing process. They really didn’t have to drag her out of the shipping container and across the deck so rough, since she literally was playing along to make it easier, but it’s water under the bridge. After six and a half weeks on a ship, you get pretty grizzly pretty fast - so she got a brief moment of privacy to shower herself, though a stuffy looking stylist ended the privacy fairly quickly. 

Is it bad that she didn’t want to feel much of anything? Is it bad that she just let it happen, just this once, to give herself a break from all the fighting? She’s just so exhausted, and it’s not like the stylist was punishing her or putting her through something painful. He dried her hair, put some product in it, did some other stuff to her face and body - pretty relaxing actually. The grand finale was changing - Katie gladly accepted the suitcase, scurrying off for privacy so that she could shed the grimy rags she’d been sporting. 

An abundance of neatly folded, clean, lavender-smelling clothes were packed tight inside. The stylist poked his head around the corner, mumbling something like “just take the dress on top, the others aren’t for you,” but Katie kinda ignored him. She set the dress on top to the side, then rummaged around. They were all different styles - plain sun dresses, elaborate gowns, mini dresses, even getups that looked like they barely covered anything. I thought that men just wanted us as personal hookers, but it looks like they’ve all got different reasons to purchase a fucking human being. Somehow that made things worse. Before the stylist could return and actually get angry with her, Katie threw everything back in and brought her attention back to her designated dress. It was modern and minimalistic, something she’d never wear before (she hardly ever wore dresses anyways). The yellow fabric was soft against her skin, but the larger sheath layer on top of the midi dress restricted her movement. There are worse options, Katie reminded herself, looking back at the suitcase. 

The stylist came back in a hurry, two guards by his side. “You were definitely my most difficult cleanup so far, but wow am I impressed with my hard work!” he quipped the back-handed insult. Hold your tongue, Katie scolded herself - seems that she’s getting her personality back again. Just at the right time, too! She knows the look in the guard’s eyes, the childlike giddy as they fumble around with their stupid clicker. As per usual, she braces herself for the splitting electric shock, and as per usual it doesn’t help her at all. The shock stuns up her spine, sending her in a spasm to the floor. It’s stronger this time than the last, but Katie doesn’t really notice that (she’s too busy writhing on the floor, in pain).

She doesn’t really notice the blackness filling her vision. All she can think about is the pain searing her body, and naturally Tara. I hope Tara isn't in pain. I hope Tara wasn’t difficult. She’s always difficult. She’s so stubborn. I hope I see Tara soon.

The muscles In her body went limp and she was out like a light. A shipping box was rolled out, Katie carefully placed inside by the guards. Unlike the others, they carried her with gentle hands, either because they didn’t want to damage the merchandise or they had an ounce of sympathy left in them. Darkness swallowed Katie in the box when the lid was secured back on, all except for the glass pane over her face. She looked serene, peaceful, made-to-order, plastic. If only that were true.

And, even though they never talked about it, she knew that he wasn’t just saying that. He had sacrificed for Exy, given up something essential to Edgar Allan in return for the promise of greatness and a professional career, only he never really got what he was promised, and he never got what he gave up back. Olivia was supposed to be his do-over, Olivia was supposed to be the one to make it. Olivia was supposed to be strong enough to do what she needed to do, to sacrifice what she had to, and come out the other side triumphant. She told herself that she could handle Penn State, that if she could make it through five years she’d have her entire life ahead of her, but in the end she was just like her father. She couldn’t take it. She cracked. All she wanted to do was play Exy, was cling to those times when they were on the court and they were winning and they felt like the team she had imagined them to be, but she couldn’t even do that. Her game suffered, and they kept playing her anyway, because it wasn’t about Exy at all. It was about selling a message. Using Olivia to do it. 

She wants to believe what Zia told her, what she’s been trying to tell herself: That there’s another way, that it doesn’t have to hurt so bad. She took the first leap: leaving Penn State, coming to Palmetto, but she’s not as sure about what comes next. Immediate Family: Garrett Finch (Father), Tara Pranav (Mother, estranged) How do they feel about their family?: She wasn’t a mistake, but she thinks she might have been an obligation: the trappings of a professional athlete went beyond the contract and the time on the court, to the trophy wife and the kids, the picture perfect family. For her, it didn’t quite work out that way. Her parents moved quickly, and they weren’t married when they had her. And though they planned to after she was born, it never happened: her mother stayed for the first trade, when Olivia was barely a year old, but she didn’t stick around for the second one. Olivia doesn’t really remember her, and it’s not like her father talks about her, either. 

But from that point on, it was just Olivia and her father. He was struggling with being a single parent, struggling with injury, trying to get back on the court and find a team he could stick with, taking too many pills. And then he was struggling with his career ending, drinking too much, taking even more pills, getting a job as an assistant coach and then losing it. New Hampshire, and his job at the boarding school, brought stability to their lives, but even then he wasn’t really there. 

Even more than he’s been her father, he’s been her coach. She’s always wanted to make him proud. She’s always loved him, even with all his faults. There’s a part of her that feels protective over him, and the best way to protect him always seemed to be to not disappoint him, like his life had disappointed him so many times before. She hates that she didn’t become a Raven, and she hated having to tell him that she was leaving Penn State. Some of the kids on the team with her at school said it must have been nice, to have her own room in her own house instead of staying in the dorms, eating in the dining hall, being far from home. Outside of what’s purely practical or comfortable, she likes hats, whether it’s a beanie or a baseball cap (worn forwards or backwards) and necklaces, especially when they have a pendant she can fidget with. Dressing up for her usually means wearing jeans, something other than a hoodie, nice sneakers instead of ones she runs in, but rarely anything more than that. She firmly believes that there’s no occasion where something other than a sports bra is required.  Favorite Bands/Songs/Type of Music: She’s not that picky, and she doesn’t really follow music. She mostly just knows what’s popular at any given time, and while she’ll hum along to the radio or whatever is being played in the locker room, when she’s on her own she’s usually not putting music on for herself. She likes the quiet.  Favorite Movies: She likes typical sports movies, underdog stories: Remember The Titans; Miracle; First Court.  Favorite Books: She’s not much of a reader. Van Wilder: Party Liaison (2002)

Look at that fucking stupid poster.

I only watched this piece of shit movie because the file was 2GB and I wanted it off my computer.  I didn't like it when it first came out and you can bet your ass I didn't like it this go around either.

I'm going to be unpopular here and say it: Van Wilder the character is Deadpool-lite, because they're all Ryan Reynolds, and he does the same thing every movie, and am I the only one who sees it?  Yeah, he does comedy well, but it's the same character every time.

And I have seen a LOT of Ryan Reynolds movies this year and I've got to tell you that I am OFFICIALLY over it.  I don't like him as an actor.  He seems like a great guy IRL, that I have no issue with.  But Ryan Reynolds the movie actor starring in films and playing different characters?  You can keep it.

Obviously, he's incredibly popular and I'm alone in this opinion, but I'm just consistently underwhelmed by every single movie he's in, and he's the only constant in those movies.  So it must be him I find myself underwhelmed with.

This piece of shit movie is about Van Wilder, who has been in college for seven years because he doesn't want to face the real world, and we are supposed to feel sorry for him and also like this is a sympathetic character point when really it's just a man-child acting like a fucking baby.

He's super popular on campus because he's Ryan Reynolds, and he's doing that smarmy Ryan Reynolds thing that I hate.  Then inexplicably the college newspaper, edited by Tom Everett Scott (who I've always liked), decides to put its best journalist (TARA FUCKING REID) on the case to write articles about how super cool Van Wilder is and how he's just the best.

That's right, this movie cast TARA REID as a journalist.

And I've got to tell you – the lady cannot act.  Like, not even a little bit.  It's the same flat monotone delivery for the whole entire movie.  She doesn't even emote! If she's angry, she looks blank. If she's happy, she looks blank. If she's sad, blank.  Everything is blank.

So Van Wilder has been in college for seven years because his dad is bankrolling it, but then his dad finds out that he's a total loser and cuts his funding.  And then… something happens.  Something horrible happens.

He goes to some lady in charge (I forget, I'm sorry) and she's an older gal, on the grizzly side, and she basically says he can stay if he has sex with her, and then… he doesn't say no, but she totally rapes him.

Like, he is raped by an older lady in this movie.

And it's played for laughs.

I was sitting there, agog, mouth hanging open going, "Did Ryan Reynolds just get raped by an older lady in this movie AND they played it for laughs?"

The answer is yes.  Yes, he did. And yes, it was.

I know it was the early 2000s, I know the times were different, but like… fucking hell. It's so gross.

Anyway, more stuff happens, and there's some drama with Tara Reid's douchebag boyfriend which results in the next incredibly disgusting, foul scene, wherein they masturbate a dog into pastries which the frat boy douchebags eat, and it's awful.  It's just so awful.  Then Van Wilder passes a bunch of tests to graduate and he ends up with Tara Reid and earns the respect of his father, like I’m supposed to care at that point.

And Ryan Reynolds has yet another Indian sidekick in this movie, which is not a recurring theme at all.  /sarcasm

I mean, it's fucking shit.  It's just a pile of fucking shit.  It's like American Pie, it just has not aged well at all (but again, I didn't like it when it first came out).  This stupid, college party movie genre deserves to die, honestly.

Bear Symbolism - Master Post

Good morning! So a few weeks ago, @wdway found a bunch of bear stuff to add to the Bear Symbolism Theory. Click on that link to go read the one I posted last season. I knew I wanted to post what she found, but as I read through everything, I knew I’d have to make a master post and include all the bear instances we’ve seen before. Here are all the instances we’ve noticed of the bear symbolism. (As always, if I’m missing any, feel free to let me know and I’ll add them. ;D)

1. 4x03 – When Carl and Hershel leave the prison to gather berries for Hershel’s tea to help the sick, they see a female walker with her leg in a bear trap.

Remember this is the same episode where we see the picture behind Hershel that says, “Smooth seas do not make good sailors.”

This is also important because TD-ers discovered years ago that there was supposed to be a Beth figurine sold with a bear trap accessory. The figurine was never sold that way, and I don’t think we know why, but it was considered as an idea and then scrapped.

I also think it’s important to note that the small game trap Beth stepped on in Alone is very similar to a bear trap. It’s obviously much smaller, and didn’t do nearly as much damage, but the concept is the same, as though it may foreshadow something bigger in the future.

2. 5x03 - Gareth, talking to Bob at the school in 5x03, gives a speech about bears. He says, ““You know, bears…when they start to starve, they eat their young. If the bear dies, the cub dies anyway. But if the bear lives, it can always have another cub.”

It’s the Termites’ way of justifying cannibalism and ties the bear symbolism to Terminus. I can’t help but notice it’s also about children (the cub).

3. You could argue we saw some oblique bear symbolism in S4. Beth’s D.C. spoon could represent the Little Dipper, which is part of Ursa Minor (“the small bear”). And of course she steps in the small game trap in Alone.

4.  5x06 - We catch the barest glimpse of a bear in the domestic abuse shelter Daryl and Carol stay in. 

There is plenty of other interesting symbolism in this room, including a quote about apple trees, pink lamp shades, etc, We also see a stuffed animal tiger. The tiger foreshadows Shiva, and is therefore meant for Carol’s arc. She sleeps on the top bunk where the tiger lays. That would suggest, by default, that the brown bear is about Daryl.

5. 6x10 - Carl tells Judith about the North Star and using it to find one’s way home. (North star is part of the Great Bear constellation.) The Great Bear and Small Bear constellations also have ties to owls, the horse theory, and possibly the deer symbol.

6. Also in S6, the Skybound account posted a modified poster from the film, Revenant with Norman’s face on it. Not only is this film about a man left for dead who then survives and, after a long arduous journey returns to his family, but his “death” or near death was caused by a grizzly bear attack.

7. In season 7, we have the bear Rachel and Cyndie find at Oceanside. It’s been washed in on the tide (much like Tara) and survived a stormy sea. It washes in with the sunrise.

8. 7x12 - We see bears hanging at the carnival Richonne go to.

9.The picture on Judith’s wall. We all spent a lot of last season trying to figure out what it was. It kinda looks like a bear, kinda like a dog, kinda like a horse or pig. Well, any of those would work for our purposes, since they’ve all been used as symbols in the show. There is a breed of dog in Russia that’s often called a Dog Bear. That’s because its face looks like a bear cub but it has the body of a dog. It really is a breed of dog, though. Anyway, that’s what we’re guessing this picture is of. It would combine the bear symbolism with the recurring symbolism of Sirius, the dog star.

10.   Finally, @wdway noticed this in S8. Right before Michonne heads out in this scene, she gives Judith a kiss. 

There are other Beth symbols in this scene, but notice what Judith is playing with. It’s a bear with blond hair. She’s playing with a little Beth bear! (And sitting next to some water, I might add.)

11.   While this isn’t specifically seen in the show, we should also consider the Goldilocks and the Three Bears template. It’s a perfect rule of threes template, and then there are bears and a girl with blond hair. Just saying.

So what does all this mean? What’s up with the bear symbolism? Well, in short, I do believe the bear = Beth. But let’s do a little bit deeper analysis than that. @wdway pointed out that bears hibernate. They disappear, sleep for months at a time, and then wake up again. It really is a great symbol for Beth because of that, and might be the reason the writers chose it to begin with. I’ve even used the word “hibernation” a lot to describe Beth being shot and her vitals becoming unreadable.

The walker in 4×03 had a bear trap around its leg. AMC nearly put out a Beth figurine that included bear trap. That's pretty good proof that the walker in this scene represents Beth.

I've said many times that, where Carl is concerned, this scene foreshadows his death by walker bite. That's mostly because we see a Jim walker in the scene, and Jim in S1, also died from walker bite. So my biggest take away from this has always been that Beth (the walker with the bear trap on its leg) will show up only after Carl dies from the walker bite. That should be any episode now, and the bear symbolism, whatever it means, should show up with her.

Gareth talking about the bear ties bear symbolism to terminus. We’ve thought for a long time that Beth would end up at Terminus. There’s a lot of evidence she will: cop cars at Terminus (Grady symbol), signature items that TF carried left there (Daryl’s poncho, the riot gear), and Beth got a Terminus poster in 4B (why give her a poster if she was never going to end up there?) So this is yet more evidence that Beth will be tied to Terminus somehow. If the bear symbolism = Beth and the bear is tied to Terminus, then Beth must also be tied to Terminus.

I don’t have a whole lot more to say about the S4 symbolism, except that it's all tied together. The small game trap could foreshadow the bigger bear trap later on. The D.C. spoon obviously represents her finding her way to D.C. If she navigates by the stars, as Carl suggests, and the stars are part of a constellation called the greater or lesser bear, it suggests the bear symbolism will also have something to do with how she gets to D.C. I'll come back to that.

Consumed, was two episodes before Coda, where Beth was shot. So the bear might show that we’re about to see the beginning of the arc the bear is linked to. After all, Carol and Daryl were searching for Beth in this episode.

The Revenant poster may be the most interesting example. Let's go over the plot of the movie again. Hugh Glass is attacked by a bear and then left for dead. I know in the real life account (just search Wikipedia for Hugh Glass) his buddies left him before he died. He was hurt so badly, they assumed he'd be dead in a few hours, and were going to stay with him, hold his hand until he passed, and then bury him. But then they were attacked by enemies and had to run or die. Later, Glass woke up and dragged himself over 200 miles to get back to his camp.

If you think about it, this matches what we think happened with Beth. Glass’s friends were gonna wait for him to die and then bury him. TF thought Beth was dead. We believe they probably tried to bury her. We think they ran into a horde of walkers (enemies). They had to leave her and run or else they would've died too. So the parallels are very strong there.

If we look at the role the bear played in the film, it would seem the bear symbolism has something to do with why Beth was shot and subsequently left behind. The bear in the film is the thing that inflicted Glass’s wounds, which is what made everyone think he was dead. We still don’t know where the bullet came from, but it wasn't from Dawn's gun.

Another thing to consider about this poster is that Daryl, not Beth, is on it. That could be because Beth was already supposedly dead in S6 and putting her on a poster about things coming back from the dead would be way too obvious. There's a few ways we can look at this.

1)    Daryl represents Beth. Because they couldn't put her on the poster, they put him on it. It might represent Beth, or both of them, since the arcs are so entwined.

2)    Daryl represents himself. While Beth seems to have died physically, Daryl died emotionally. I remember this poster came out right around 6x06. It was part of the reason we thought maybe Beth would return in 6x06. (I did a whole post about it.)

In my group, we’ve discussed that the reason 6x06 is so full Beth symbolism is it's the episode where Daryl completely lost the faith Beth instilled in him. Daryl did die emotionally when he lost her in S5, but we saw him recruiting with Aaron in 5B and trying to convince Rick that they still needed to look for good people in 6x01. He was trying to honor her and live the truth that she taught him. 

In 6x06, while he was trying to help “good people,” Sherry and Dwight screwed him over. It was the final straw that made him let go of what Beth taught him.That would explain a lot of the symbolism in the episode, including the Cherokee Rose. So this poster may have been to show that this was the final nail in Daryl's emotional coffin, but eventually he would return from that emotional death. Well, as of S8, we haven’t seen him return from it. If this is what they were going for, it has yet to happen.

Next, we have the bear in 7x06 with Cyndie and Rachel. This is one of the main reasons I believe the bear = Beth. It was washed in from the ocean and given all the water symbolism around Beth, it’s pretty compelling. I think Tara was 100% a proxy and foreshadow Beth and this episode, and she was washed on the tide. This could be literal (Beth will wash in with the tide as Tara did) or more symbolic. She will come in with the tide (symbolically Oceanside) right at dawn (the beginning of the new arc).

Cyndie suggests they use Sage and Lavender on the bear to improve its condition. @wdway points out those things are used for spiritual healing and have antiseptic, preservative properties.

Then there are the bears in 7x12 with Richonne. The biggest Beth symbolism in this episode is Rick’s death fake out. It looked like the walkers got him, but he escaped. There was yellow involved. There is also a deer in this episode. The deer died, so Rick lived. Given the dead deer we saw in 5x10, that's obviously a Beth thing. So the interesting thing about these carnival bears is:

1. On the foot of this one we see two entwined hearts. I totally think that could represent Richonne, as this episode was totally about two people becoming one (there was plenty of talk about their symbolic marriage in this episode). But I also think that it represents all the soul mate relationships on the show, including Bethyl.

2. The bears are shown right before the death fake out scene. Like, we literally see Richonne running toward the Ferris wheel and past these bears, and in the NEXT scene, Rick’s death fake out happens. So these two things (bears and death fake outs) are definitely related.

And how about Judith? The fact that we have her playing with the bear and there's been a lot of child symbolism around Beth, and she sitting next to water are all very interesting. These are all symbols we seen a lot. @wdway even pointed out there's a tunnel with a water outlet right next to her (Tunnel symbolism).

So what's my wacky theory? It’s more like a series of wacky thoughts. If the bear symbolism represents something that has to do with why Beth was left behind, and it has ties to Terminus, and maybe something about Terminus and its ties to Grady have to do with how Beth got shot.

Gareth talking about a bear and its cub was especially intriguing to me. A cub is the offspring of the bear, so we have child symbolism in that and there's been a lot of child and baby symbolism around Beth. Many people have theorized since S6 that perhaps at some point Judith will be in trouble and Beth will have to save her. As time goes on, especially this season, we’ve wondered if it won’t be Judith, but rather Gracie.

Either way, Gareth’s story justified the parent eating a child to stay alive, because the parent can always have another child. So I'm wondering if Beth will be at Terminus and will end up saving a child that maybe they were going to eat? Could that be Gracie? I don't know.

All the star and constellation stuff suggests that something about the bear symbolism will help Beth get to D.C. I said before that I think she's arriving with the Wolves. I've also said the Wolves could be the people who take down Grady. Remember Gimple also confirmed that Crazy Tattoo Guy (one of the people who took over Terminus) would be tied to a bigger group of bad guys. That could be the Saviors, but it could also be the Wolves. I could put this together one of fifty ways, but it’s all conjecture until we know more.

What it comes down to is that Beth, Terminus, possibly the Wolves, and the bear symbolism all part of one circle of events. These events stretch back to S5. Because of the Sasha/Tyreese theory, I think whatever Sasha and Gabriel were talking about in 5x16, goes back not just back to Coda and the missing 17 days, but probably back to Terminus. I think there were a lot of things we didn't see in S5.

Bottom line: Whatever the bear symbolism represents, it should be arriving with Beth any episode now. I’m excited to see how it all pans out and I’ll be on the look for more bear symbolism as we go along.

P.S. Minor Spoilers: In episode 8x11, Dr. Carson supposedly gets caught in a bear trap. Hmmm.
