I had a weird dream recently where I was on a team with Bill Bailey and James Acaster, so I'm gonna say them to start just based on that (and I guess we're the team of three). I feel like we need someone competent, so maybe a champion? How about Liza Tarbuck, and then get Susan Wokoma on for whatever the hell she had going on this most recent series.

6. What type of filmed task do you do worst at?

I was going to say physical, but that's like, only half true. Anything where I have to think quickly is also a problem. Music tasks are right out as well, I think. As are math-based tasks. But if I've got Bailey and Acaster on my team, I've at least got a chance to sneak past on music tasks if that's the team one.

🔒- which taskmaster contestant would you choose to be handcuffed to for 48 hours?

Oh heck - 48hrs? That means:

Going to the toilet?!

Eating meals (one handed I suppose)

Sleeping, probably!

I'd get a bit smelly because oh heck I'm not showering/stripping I don't think?!

Assuming we can't get the handcuffs undone by any means, ofc.

There are definitely contestants that are a hard NO. Folks that have that angry edge to them, or who I think wouldn't suffer fools gladly, or who would get real grumpy after the first 3 hrs. Josh Widdicombe for example, or Lou Sanders - both on my very nope list.

A shortlist:

Mel Geidroic might be a good one - she is, after all, incredibly nice, with the added bonus of probably having already seen everything there is to see and not being especially bothered about it.

Victoria Coren Mitchell would tear me a new one, of course - not suffering fools gladly - but she'd be just so very practical about it, I'm not sure I'd mind. She might help me get my life in order, in fact. I could imagine her going "Oh for goodness sakes - just make the phonecall. Look, I'll type in the number..."

Tempted to go for Ivo Graham, just to see how his brain works, but I think the poor man would have a breakdown. Not that I'm especially difficult to be around, I don't think - just that I imagine Ivo would turn into a pretzel over the awkwardness of the situation.

Sophie Duker is too cool to be handcuffed to me, but if we were, I'd want to go on a 48hr escape room bender with her. I think that'd be hilarious and by hour 20 we'd be an absolute mess.

Lastly, maybe Mike Wozniak or Richard Osman for "terribly lovely seeming men who'd likely try to work with me to make it as smooth as possible" - I think they'd also be fantastic to chat to with great conversation.

Final answer - Sophie Duker, but only if she's up for the escape room thing (or equally fun days out). Otherwise VCM with the hope that she'd show me how to be a proper grown up!

Blorbo quiz! I'm going to be real I don't know much about this guy

He reminds me of this other actor I know, Josh Thomas. Like they look similar.

Oooh man he's a tough one - he's a comedian first, so a lot of what he does is game shows, skits, podcasts, and other unscripted stuff. I don't think he's had a whole lot of acting/film roles.

I know the second one is him as Lars Pinfield in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (I've literally been writing a fic about it lol).

The first one I want to say is a comedy skit he did, though I couldn't tell you which one. Probably something with Ed Gamble.

And I don't know the third one at all, sorry.

Big is older than Kim so now he accidentally has a little brother. Someone send this child to bed and make him eat his vegetables. He’s not concerned, he just needs Kim in top shape for bitching and murder!!

I don't see that personally? Kim does have ultimate little brother energy. he is THE baby of the family. Porsche sees him and goes "oooh new brother" in 2 seconds flat while Kim sputters confusedly in the back. I have a group of college seniors and peers who adopted the shy lonely angry kid in mind for Kim always, and Tortoise and I once came up with a whole roster of old/older neighbors on Kim's floor who dote on him. he just has that vibe 🤏

but Big doesn't have a caretaker bone in his whole body. not even caretaker cartilage. he's one of the best protectors! but he doesn't read as a caretaker to me.

I do think that of all the bodyguards, Big's the only one who doesn't mind Kim duty (he sat through like two sittings of Kim grilling him on Kinn's security before he realized Kim just wants Kinn safe and hey, he wants that too!). I think he does also want Kim safe, but that's mostly rationalized as wanting Kinn's-little-brother-whom-Kinn-deeply-cares-for safe vs any specific feelings he himself holds for Kim, and it doesn't really come out in the form of Big looking out for Kim's personal or day-to-day well-being, but rather Big helping Kim scheme and snoop. and I think of all the guards, Big is the only one Kim can stand (except for maybe, maybe Arm too, only on account that Khun really likes him and he's a decent enough informant) (Porsche doesn't count as a guard, obvs, which is something Big agrees with him on though their reasonings are different). I think that shoving them together has lots of fun opportunities for them to realize they actually respect and even kinda like the other, I just like even more when they don't have the faintest clue what to do with it. talk to each other? increased interaction? admit it? fuck no.

also it's just really funny to me if these two (emotionally repressed idiots) are in their weird limbo of not being able to label their feelings on That-Guy-I-Definitely-Don't-Care-About-But-Kinda-Respect-And-At-Least-Don't-Want-Dead (a high compliment considering their lifestyle tbh, not that they mean it that way either), then someone (read: Khun) drops the bomb "awww you made a friend!" on Kim.

2. Greg or Alex? I'm partial to Greg because I also really enjoyed his comedy shows and stuff. But no offence to little Alex Horne, the show wouldn't be the same without either of them.

16. Favourite contestant(s)? This will be a pretty long list, but I just enjoyed all of their perfomances a lot (and I'm sure I still forgot about someone): Tim Key, Hugh Dennis, Mel Giedroyc, Mark Watson, Joe Thomas, Richard Herring, Alan Davies, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Ivo Graham. (Btw, if I had to pick just one single favourite contestant it would be Victoria because TM changed my entire perception of her…like, before I didn't really like her at all and then I was crushing so hard on her during the series… xD)

20. Tell me about a TM moment that lives in your head rent-free. There's a lot of these, but the ones that probably made the biggest impression on me are Mark Watson and Nish Kumar singing their song together…and Daisy May Cooper getting angry at Richard Herring because he didn't recognise her drawing of a hippo :D

Favourite show?

My all time favorite are Psych and Taskmaster (and Taskmaster New Zealand). Star Trek (TOS) will always have special place in my heart.

Currently I watch Merlin BBC for the first time and it's great. Merlin and Arthur share 1 brain cell and it never stays with the one relevant to the plot.

🤫- you get to give a contestant a secret, series-long task revealed in the finale - what do you do?

Well!

Let's decide what features we want for our task.

First, we probably can assume that Alex and production knows about the task, but no-one else does. Not Greg or the other contestants.

Do the viewers know about the task throughout the series? If they do, it adds delicious suspense to watching the episodes play out as viewers see the contestant attempt to secretly fulfill the task's requirements. But you'd need to somehow introduce the task in a meta way then - not shown in the studio. Using post-taping editing. That's never been done before. And you'd need to remind or retell the viewers every episode (in case you missed one, or watched out of order) and that seems unlikely. So we have to assume that the audience does NOT know what the secret task is, until the audience/contestants/Greg does.

It'd be fun, however, to have a task such that when you go back and re-watch the earlier episodes, you can see the contestant trying to do the task. So it needs to be visible. It'd be especially naughty if it involves the other players or Greg so you get to see that suspense - so it needs to involve Greg or the other contestants - either in the studio, or during team tasks.

And then basic things like - the people involved (Greg/contestants) can't work out they're involved in the task until it's properly revealed. The task do-er needs to try to keep the secret, etc.

Given all that, I'd go with something like:

Make the Taskmaster say "I love you." to you the most times. You must not let the Taskmaster suspect you are trying to make him say he loves you. If he questions you about it, you are disqualified. You have until the end of the series finale. Your time starts now.

And assign it to the wettest contestant you have. Ideally one who is burdened with an overabundance of intelligence, so that it will add an extra layer of complication to everything they're trying to do.

(You could do more competitive type tasks like "Don't come last in the series, but do not win an episode." or "This person is now your nemesis - you will get an extra point for your prize task if you score higher than they do in that prize task. No other person's score matters." but emotionally uncomfortable is winning out this morning instead.)

I can't remember all of them but I think I'd go with Bridget Christie just because I really like that look and think it wouldn't look to bad on me, or Noels because it's still my favourite of the boiler suit looks, and has the practicality bonus of, I think? being water proof

I'd probably try to come up with something clever, but end up way over thinking it and running out of time and having to with a more straightforward thing, or just fail to argue it and end up disqualified.

Not the full five, but I do think he probably deserved some at least. That said, I'm not it would have been as iconic and funny a moment if he had gotten the points, so in that sense I suppose I'm okay with him not getting them
