Our transition + update!

Happy one year, TBC.

Hello, our followers and/or people coming across this post. We have a pretty important update to share with all today.

So, it has been a year since we made this page, and soon, it’ll be a year since we first posted, and both of these are extremely exciting but also kind of disappointing because we have not been updating as frequently as we used to.

When we started this page, we were excited and full of creativity to constantly post once our stories were done being written and proofread. Now, while we have given time to write other fics on other topics, we have been waiting for Admin Cat to finish her side of the fluff topics that we started on.

Now, to give a little spoiler…

We have plans for angst and horror tropes right now, and this is what this update is about.

For the past few months, Admin Kai and Admin Cressa have been writing and writing when we can and we have just been WAITING to post these because we are genuinely really proud of how far we’ve come with them and we have been wanting to share them with you all.

We were not kidding when we said that one of Cressa’s fics made Kai cry, and Kai made Cressa cuss them out with one of the ones they wrote. A few times we have cried writing our own stories. They have put through endless effort and strife, but at the end of the day, we cannot keep waiting.

So, we’re going to stop making an order on how we post our fics, and not worry about posting an angst after fluff, or a horror after a crack fic, because honestly, we don’t have the time for that.

As our followers know(or at least the people who read the admin introduction posts), Admin Cat and Cressa are in college, but Kai is not, at least not yet. They will be going in soon enough which means less time to constantly post, but don’t worry, we aren’t abandoning the page or handing it down to someone else.

We are simply taking a step back to make sure we aren’t overwhelmed or stressing over school, work, life, and what have you. Admin Kai is already posting a few of their new fics to AO3 which you can find by searching up ‘ka1zuha’ on the page, and Cressa also has the current fics from Tumblr on AO3 which you can find by searching ‘Melancholia_Cressa’

Now, be on the lookout for a few certain fics that will get us going into this transition and it will be going up on the page once confirmation is given that we are okay to post. We know a few of you have made requests and trust me, we are going to get those out but they will take a while due to the admins having busy schedules right now.

Remember, we appreciate every single one of our readers. We even appreciate the ones who read and leave a like, or repost but don’t follow us. Just giving us your time is amazing enough as is. It has been a long year, a tough one at that, and quite a lot has happened, but we are hoping to have many more, and hoping to see more and more people enjoy our fics as much as we enjoy writing them.

Now that I've finished TBC, I'm gonna take a short break from Warriors because I'm moving in two weeks and I wanna focus on that. Also it's hard getting these newer books from my current local library sometimes so I might as well wait til after I move so I can go to the much bigger library near my new place haha.

TNP is such an interesting arc for AUs due to how much it impacts future arcs, and thus how much changes in it impact those arcs as well.

currently I'm bouncing around an AU where several characters roles get shuffled around: Brambleclaw joins the Tribe instead of Stormfur, Stormfur dies saving the Tribe instead of Feathertail, and Tawnypelt gets the Dark Forest training arc that Brambleclaw had in the second half.

FLFverse beta call.....TWO!!!

hello all! as i (very, very slowly) gear up for part 2 of Free Falling, i'm looking for, ideally, two more betas to come help out.

requirements: familiarity with the source material up to season 6 (or the manga equivalent, i don’t know off the top of my head), ability to communicate via discord, familiarity with Free Falling and preferably other works in the series, but that is not required.

tasks: brainstorming and troubleshooting the outline, SPAG/continuity errors of finished chapters/fics, feedback on whether emotional beats and the like are working.

schedule (per month): 2 chapters of Free Falling, 0-2 side fics, random brainstorming sessions to fix plotholes or explore new ideas. you can opt not to read for certain things if they are not your preference or you just don’t have time on your schedule, it’s very lowkey.

duration: technically, indefinitely. part 2 should take about 6-8 months to come out, but i have no idea how long this series will go on and don’t currently have an end goal. you are, of course, free to leave and come back as you please, as long as you communicate.

A Happy New Year to everyone!

I'm still on holiday until tomorrow, but I thought I'd briefly drop in and say hi.

This year's going to be a busy one, lots to write, big word counts to try and hit. The target for January is 40,000. The traditional fiction story will be taking priority, at least for the first few months. We're over 80,000 words in now, and my prediction is it will likely be over 120,000. But I have a speedy writing speed, and some fantastic Beta Readers, so I am optimistic that the project will be nearing completion by mid-March.

I'll put up a full post later in the week with more details. In the meantime, if anyone has any requests for lore details, or ideas of what you'd like to see in the first bit of this year post wise while I'm tapping away at the full prose, do let me know. To my fellow Brits, I hope you're enjoying your bank holiday, or at least are getting extra pay if you're working. To everyone else around the world, all my best to you and yours for the coming year!

PS. I was given a Rhyming Dictionary for Christmas. You are all doomed to more poetry, this I guarantee.

AO3's been doing a thing lately to my summaries where, at some point after posting/updating a work, it deletes all the text written after a closing HTML tag I used for formatting the preceding text, so that the summary very obviously looks as if I forgot to finish writing it and then went ahead and posted with it that way.

And there's nothing better than checking AO3 and realizing that a work posted yesterday has spent all day with a partially deleted summary and that at least 50+ people (probably many more) have seen it like that.
