Soul's Scream, ch. 31 - While They Were Sleeping, pt. 1:

A tug came on the triad’s bonds nearly an hour later, from Jasmine, their Gheyo King. Briar was instantly on his feet again, Jun and Rian less than a heartbeat behind him. 

As much as it pained her to do so—because she understood what her Submissive was going through right now—Jun pulled Briar behind her as they got closer, deftly avoiding the snapping fangs from her Submissive, and as a foreboding mood started hanging in the air, a mood that came from the area as a whole and not just from her Bonded.

Something was definitely wrong. 

Gardenia met them on the end of the street, a grim look on the ACE’s face. 

“You’re not going to like what we’ve found,” she warned them, but reluctantly let the triad through.

Right now, I update TBDH about roughly every quarter, unless something in RL gets in the way. I have a chapter slated for end of June (drafting) and early July (edits after getting it back from Brissy) for Ch 120.

Chapters are about 15 to 20k words long and there's a lot that goes into it, which also includes sending it to Brissy for betaing and then making the edits/shifts/adding in extra scenes, as I go.

At present, this update schedule works best for me. I don't want to rush to put out chapters or burnout on it, especially since we're over the 1 million word count. I have lots of little details and subplots to work with and I want to take my time and give them the attention they deserve.

I usually have updates for the next chapter on a post on my @scioneeris blog and on my Patreon page here, where I post a monthly schedule for the $1 tier that releases for public view about halfway in the month. It usually covers the current word count, how I'm feeling about the chapter and what I'm expecting to do in the upcoming days/weeks as I work on it.

Soul's Scream, ch. 30 - Preparations:

Harry didn't know why, but his Bonded seemed surprised when he woke up at his usual time the next day. 

Sure, he could have slept in a bit more, especially because no one had mentioned plans for the day the night before, but both Raspen and Alec had decided to stay at home for the day and he wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to spend some extra time with them. 

He did start growing a bit more suspicious when he decided to take a nap before lunch—his Bonded made for very good personal heaters, even the ones that weren't Fire elements—and instead of leaving him where he was, someone brought him to the resting room instead. 

And again, many of them seemed surprised when he was awake in time to eat. Harry was starting to feel like he was missing something…

Fever Dreams

@scioneeris So its 4am and I have a fever but its lead to a little daydream I thought you might enjoy.

Harry has a fever and only Charlie and Alec are home. At first Alec just randomly appears, snarks at Charlie, and then disappears but as the hours wear on without success the time between visits shortens. Eventually he stops disappearing and slowly starts helping. The scene ends as Theo walks in to discover Alec and Charlie pressed together side by side over a gently sleeping Harry. A wicked smile curves along Theo's face and he steps back outside the room sealing it with magic behind him.
