Going from only forgetting a couple of things every week and being able to quote any text I read word for word after reading it once to forgetting a couple of things everyday and only being able to provide a detailed summary and maybe one or two exact quotes from any text I read after reading it once is one of the worst long lasting affects of the canoe attack, very obnoxious to have my skills reduced

Something I'm still trying to get through my own head. Boundaries are important. So I wanted to share this because I dont want anyone to ever forget this, and never give in to someone pushing your boundaries. Yes it's easier said then done. #traumaticbraininjury (TBI) is associated with an increased risk of late #neurodegenerative complications via unknown mechanisms. Circulating neurotoxic 5-hydroxytryptamine 2A receptor (5-HT2AR) autoantibodies were reported to increase in subsets of obese #type2 diabetes having microvascular complications. We tested whether 5-HT2AR autoantibodies increase in adults following #traumaticbraininjury in association with neurodegenerative complications.

The human cranium What to say about this? Why’s it important? I read once that all cranial faults “should” resolve with a walk in the woods or a good night’s sleep. I’d add with a decent work out maybe, a breath altering activity should do it too. And yet they don’t always and things get stuck… I teach a good deal about that in the courses. Pictured here, or highlighted, is the occipital and sphenoid bone which meet at the sphenobasilar junction. It’s cartilaginous which if I remember correctly means it is not innervated…. Which means the base of your skull is a hard place to sense? What do you think? Can you feel the mild expansion and contraction of this junction with breath? Can I or am I just making something up?😳😂😂 #cranium #cranial #cranials #sphenoid #sphenobasilar #proprioceptiontraining #proprioception #breath #breathing #cranialsutures #cranialnerves #concussionrecovery #concussionrehab #tbirecovery #adaptablepolarity https://www.instagram.com/p/CnuZD6BpFA1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

YOU DON’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE AFTERMATH OF A CAR CRASH ON YOUR OWN
Injuries from car wrecks devastate lives. People face large medical bills, loss of income, pain and suffering, and the disruption of lives and families. Sometimes people have severe fractures, back and spine injuries, or disfiguring scars. Then the worries creep in.
Here are the common concerns we hear from clients:
I need a rental car. How do I get one? Who will pay for it?
How are my medical bills going to get paid?
I can’t work. What am I going to do?
I may need surgery in the future. How does this affect my claim?
The insurance company is being unfair in fixing my car. What do I do?
IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU
Over three million people are injured every year in car accidents on our nation’s roadways, and fifty thousand dies. In Bowling Green alone, nearly one thousand people are injured every year in car accidents. Add in Scottsville, Brownsville, Glasgow, Morgantown, Tompkinsville, Munfordville, Franklin, Leitchfield and Russellville, Kentucky, and there are many thousands more, and hundreds more deaths each year.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
The first hours and days following a car accident can be confusing. We have some suggestions for you to help.
Call EMS paramedics and have your injuries checked out
Go to the hospital if necessary
Cooperate with the investigating police officer
DON’T talk to the insurance company for the other driver
Take photographs of your injuries
Take photographs of your car
Follow your doctor’s instructions
Contact your insurance agent
If you suspect that the other driver is drunk tell the police officer
Contact a law firm with experience in car accident claims. Mike Breen & William Williford will give you free confidential advice without obligation.
It is very important that you take care of yourself, and get medical attention if you need it. People frequently have back and spine injuries from car accidents that may not cause problems until days or even weeks after the wreck. Fractures may not be obvious to doctors or hospital staff at first. By going to the doctor you are making sure that you are getting proper medical treatment, and that your doctor has a record of all of the injuries from the accident. If you wait too long to get medical treatment then the insurance company might say your injuries did not come from the wreck, or that you waited too long and caused your own problems.
Car accidents require a dedicated personal injury lawyer. At Breen & Williford, Injury Lawyers, we’ve been there time and again. We can answer your questions about medical bills, wage loss, disability, pain and suffering, and more.
We will talk to you at no charge for as many times as necessary to decide if we can help you. Contact Bowling Green car accident lawyers Mike Breen and William Williford today.
OUR PERSONAL INJURY LAWYERS CAN HELP YOU
Our injury lawyers and staff want to help you, in the unfortunate event that you need our help. Just e-mail or call us for a free, no-obligation, confidential consultation.

i didn’t die!
hi guys. it’s been some time, eh? last time i spoke to you, i was freshly in a new relationship, so the end of February? well, it’s November now, and we’ve long since broken up. christ i loved that girl, until she moved 800 miles away from me and cheated on me twice.  since that debacle, i started my junior year in high school, my cat died, and i’ve fallen head over heels for a girl who lives in texas. what am i gonna do about that? not entirely sure yet, my heart is undecided between texas girl and someone who’s in a relationship at the moment. but that’s not the point of this post. i got another head injury! i’m currently recovering from a mtbi, and god it sucks! this is my fifth injury, and the healing process is brutal. so, i have more time to update absolutely no one on my life. i don’t mind that really no one looks at my account, this is more a diary than it is a “hey look at me look what i did”, i just can’t keep a physical diary to save my life. anyways, i’m growing n healing, as always. yours truly, val.

Sensory Overload: The Hidden Obstacle to Brain Injury Recovery
The Negative Impact of Sensory Overload on Brain Injury Recovery
#RT Sensory Overload: The Hidden Obstacle to Brain Injury Recovery https://ctbraininjury.com/post/sensory-overload-the-hidden-obstacle-to-brain-injury-recovery… The Negative Impact of Sensory Overload on Brain Injury Recovery Brain injury recovery is a complex process that often involves various therapies and treatments to help patients regain their cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities. However, one of the lesser-known factors that can hinder recovery is sensory overload. This phenomenon occurs when the brain is inundated with information from the five senses--light, sound, taste, touch, and smell--and is unable to process it effectively. As a result, the brain perceives this as a threat and goes into fight, flight, or freeze mode, which can exacerbate symptoms and delay progress in rehabilitation. Increased Anxiety and Stress When the brain is overwhelmed by sensory input, it can trigger anxiety and stress responses. These heightened emotional states can exacerbate existing symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, and cognitive difficulties. Moreover, chronic stress and anxiety can impair neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and rewire itself, which is crucial for recovery after an injury. #sensory overload, brain injury recovery, #rehabilitation, #anxietyty, #stresss, cognitive function, sleep disturbances, emotional dysregulation, calm environment, #neuroplasticity, #occupationaltherapy therapy, physical therapy, cognitive fatigue, sleep schedule, weighted blankets, fidget toys, gradual exposure, stimulating environments, professional support, neuropsychologist, sensory aids, interpersonal relationships, functional recovery, independence, sensory stimulation #tbisurvivor #tbirecovery #tbiawareness #strokesurvivor #strokeprevention #strokerecovery #stroke #strokeawareness #braininjury #braintumorsurvivor #brainhealth ABI Resources is a reputable organization that provides exceptional support to individuals and families in collaboration with various government agencies and community service providers, including the Connecticut Department of Social Services DSS, COU Community Options, the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services DMHAS, Connecticut Community Care CCC CCCI Southwestern Connecticut Area on Aging SWCAA, Western Connecticut Area on Aging WCAAA, Allied Community Resources ACR, Access Health, and United Services.
