People who self-type as rare and "desired" categories, such as INFJs, INTJs, 5s, 4s, IEIs, ILIs and all Ns by extension
Let me ask, to what extent would your self-worth differ if you concluded you were mistyped and to what extent would it change if you found typology to be a false idea?
Back when I believed socionics was the answer to everything at 15, I was negatively affected by that interest. I questioned many things about myself because I seemed to have traits that didn't fit my EII (INFP,INFj) type, but I settled on it eitherway because of my focus on morality. It didn't help how little self esteem I had to be of the least impressive of the 4 "intelligent" types (and in the circles I was in most types were dismissed as "normie idiots") Socionics changed how I saw others. I believed others lacked moral values and intelligence, thought in a manner inconceivable to me and would fundamentally be bad company for me (and I for them)
Enneagram too had me constantly questioning every aspect of my behavior in order to confirm that I was indeed a "5w4"
If you are invested in personality typing, I think you should consider the influence of your emotions on your investment and take a short break. It helped me realise these systems fail to predict human behavior and the categories are largely arbitrary: people believe because it allows them to be superior to the majority and because it's a safety harness. If you are no longer certain about these systems, it might be useful to share your opinion of them in retrospect
constant edits: I've been learning to write this year and I am disappointed at my early writing

They don't make pills for that...
One of the less talked about hallmarks of schizophrenia is the cognitive aspect. Typical antipsychotics work on D2 receptors, atypical antipsychotics work on serotonin 5-HT2 receptors, and both do an ok job at managing the positive symptoms of schizophrenia.
There are no pills for cognitive impairment. There are "cognitive enhancement" medications, but they are rarely, if ever, prescribed to people with schizophrenia, and their effectiveness is debatable.
There are things like diet and stress management (difficult when one eats the same thing every day for fear of being poisoned) that can aid in cognitive functioning, but there are no "magic" pills that "fix" the issues. Supplements are good, a balanced diet is good, but the problems with cognition and executive functioning persist.
Skill-building techniques help with the cognitive aspects of schizophrenia. Tasks that train working memory, processing, organization, attention, reasoning, etc. can help build up the pathways in the brain to support executive functioning skills.
While everyone's situation is unique and some people's symptoms are much more severe than others, people with schizophrenia do have the ability to learn and develop new skills. Just because it may take us longer than the average bear doesn't mean we can't do it.

MBTI - Your dominant function and your birthchart
🥑 this was inspired by an ask I got which, while I was answering it made me realise something about MBTI
🥑 this felt like too much to post as part of the answer so hope the anon who asked also finds this!
🥑 quincunxes tend to be about incompatible aspects of life, sometimes you may favor one of the other. with venus quincunx lilith, to find out whether the person with favor the venus aspects of their chart or the lilith aspects, it depends how well the placements are working
🥑 if venus is in domicile or exalted, they may most likely favor venus
🥑 if it is debilitated somehow (peregrine, fall, detriment), they will probably favor lilith simply as it is easier
🥑 in mbti people often favor their dominant two functions so if you want some real deep insight into your psyche and personality, look at your dominant function in mbti and then go and check out what planets are exalted or in domicile and you will see roughly the full 'psychic toolkit' you have to work with. what's dom or exalted will also likely flow really easily through your dominant cognitive function.
🥑 for example, I have the sun exalted in aries and am Se auxiliary (ISTP). results in me being kind of headstrong and translatinf this physically such as going into the outdoors and being very happy trekking and exploring, even somewhat scary or dangerous places
🥑 so for another example if venus was in domicile in taurus, the person in question would likely really really favor the venus aspects of their life and potentially use them to suppress their lilith. If they were (for example) an INFJ they might be super out of touch with their shadow functions and lower functions which may then express themselces violently due to suppression (e.g. binging due to being out of touch with their Se)
just some rambles.

How Cartman and Kyle’s MBTI and Cognitive Functions help deepen an understanding of their relationship
South Park in a nutshell: an ENTJ (Cartman) planning everything they want to happen without external input while the INFJ (Kyle) refuses to follow the morally wrong commands of the ignorant ENTJ and tries to reason with them on why they’re wrong. No, this is not going to change in the future– honestly, Cartman will NOT go soft on anyone. They just desperately need each other because they’re both goal driven. Looking at the big picture of the show, their common goals tend to simply be proving each other wrong. They strive on proving their points (mainly Cartman). Kyle just wants what's best for everyone, including Cartman, and Cartman couldn't care less. Kyle has a high Ti although he’s NiFe because he has very strong opinions and his mind does not change easily at all. This is what gets them in disagreements constantly– Cartman’s Te dominant and Kyle’s Fe and Ti. Cartman has a very very very VERY low Fe (He at least has some Fi because he uses his own opinions and makes decisions based off that), and Kyle has a very high Fe. Deep down, the INFJ wants to help the ENTJ at their lowest (Jewbacabra, TEOO…) but very rarely will that ENTJ open up. That’s what will help their relationship build instead of deteriorate. Another way is if Cartman matures his Fe and acknowledges other people have feelings. Instead, he’ll manipulate people like Kyle by putting on a fake act. And when Kyle believes it, he’s instantly willing to help (average XNFJ). Remember Casa Bonita? When Cartman gets all nice just to reserve a spot for Casa Bonita? Kyle said so after Cartman accepted he wasn’t invited, and Kyle's response to that was, “That’s all I’ve wanted to hear all along.” All Cartman needs is to bring out his Fe and mature, according to the mind of the INFJ.

Everyone keeps saying Anthony Lockwood is an ENFJ not an ENTJ because he is empathetic, emotionally supportive, sweet, constantly caring... But HEAR ME OUT, Anthony Lockwood is DEFINITELY an ENTJ!!!📣
Generally, ENTJ is described as "Decisive, Strategic, Organized, Energetic, Articulate", which is the perfect description for Anthony Lockwood.
To be more specific, we can look into the 2 functions that separate an ENTJ and an ENFJ:
📍1. Te as primary function:
📍Lockwood makes it quite clear that he cares about efficiency the most. That's why he left for the case before George finishes his research and is complained repeatedly by George because of how he does everything so fast, without enough preparation.
📍Lockwood is relentless, achievement-oriented, action-oriented, and is described as the exact opposite to George, an INTP (we all know that ENTJ and INTP have the exact opposite functions).
ENTJ: Te, Ni, Se, Fi
INTP: Ti, Ne, Si, Fe
"In many ways, Lockwood was the complete opposite of George,... He had no interest in the mechanics of ghosts, and little in their individual desires or intentions. All he really wanted was to destroy them as efficiently as possible." (from book 2)
Lockwood doesn't care about exploring and figuring out how things work, what causes the Problem,... He just wants to focus on the next goal, get work done in the most efficient way, wants to achieve, to make Lockwood & Co. become the best agency and so on. He is impatient with what he perceives as inefficient, which is spending a lot of time on preparing and researching like George always does. His Te primary function is obvious when compared with George's Ti primary function.
📍However, this doesn't mean he doesn't care about others' well being and feelings. You all need to stop saying Lockwood is an ENFJ because he has golden retriever energy, he is sweet and caring, etc... WHY CAN'T AN ENTJ BE EMPATHETIC, ENCOURAGING AND SWEET? An ENTJ is so much more than those harsh, controlling freak ENTJ stereotypes. Have you seen Gordon Ramsay, an ENTJ, spending time with kids and his own daughters? He's also really sweet, supportive and encouraging when the kids make mistake and stressed out.
Having said that, it doesn't mean Lockwood isn't being a jerk sometimes. Because of his Te primary function, he ignores Lucy's words to leave her out of public attention and go on to talk about to talent in order to promote his agency. Lockwood also left for the case without waiting for George and his research, leading to their enormous debt, just because of the same reason: his Te primary function.
📍2. Fi as inferior function
📍"Fi is ENTJ's last function. Fi helps them to assess situations to see how things match up to their values and beliefs. They may think of their Fi as their “gut instinct”. It helps them learn to be sensitive to the values and feelings of those around them. It can act as a warning system when they think a decision makes sense logically, but somewhere inside, Fi is the alarm saying it’s a bad idea. However, because Fi is the TeNi’s weakest function, they will often act with the swift decisiveness of Te first, before considering how their actions might affect the feelings of others or taking time to think about whether their decision lines up with their values."
Lockwood risks his life a lot just to build his agency's reputation. He loves dangerous cases as they make the agency famous, and also makes a lot of money to keep the agency working. Though this may sound like the fastest and most efficient way to achieve his goal, it is a bad idea. But since Fi is his weakness, Lockwood couldn't hear that inner voice and just do it anyway.
In the books, when Lockwood is stressed and in a weaker mental state, his Fi inferior function comes out. Then he will start to think about all of this, wonder why he does what he does, and if it aligns with his personal values...
📍We can also compare with ENFJs. ENFJ has Fe as their primary function, which means they rub off with others' emotions, they love to connect with people and they focus heavily on relationships.Lockwood, an ENTJ, on the other hand, is a bit reserved, he keeps personal feelings close to his chest and he DOESN'T connect with other people at all (at first, it takes quite a long time for him to actually open up, and before that, he just stays distant.)
Relationships is actually his WEAKNESS, since Te is his primary function and Fi is his inferior function. Lockwood prioritizes efficiency and task completion over personal relationships and emotional well-being (in both himself and others, but mostly himself), which is a very ENTJ thing to do. He risks his life for dangerous cases because those make the agency more famous, he avoids Lucy's personal questions and refuses to develop his relationships with George and Lucy any furrther at first. Then he grows and learns to open up, becoming a better ENTJ.
📣 Besides, he leads the team well mainly because of his charm, his determination, his recklessness and also his logical thinking, rather than his empathy and compassion, like an ENFJ does. 📣
📍I think his craving for public attention is an Te primary function.
📍The craving for public attention is rather a craving for achievements, because he wants his agency to grow and become famous.

Note
you made that post about tertiary Fe can you elaborate on that
No.
Actually, yes, of course I will elaborate.
Also, I apologize for how long it took me to answer this lol. Anyway. I wrote "There’s a pull to be social and, most of all, to hold the attention of the crowd, unlike inferior Fe. IxTPs will not be as inclined towards manipulating (not necessarily in the negative sense) the social sphere." and I stand by it.
I think that when it comes to learning about MBTI, people tend to forget that we do not have an accurate, objective perspective on who we are. Saying "ExTPs are more social than IxTPs" might cause ExTPs to mistype because they think that makes them social in general, when that is not necessarily the truth. We are talking about how people seem to be, to others, not to ourselves, and that is the mistake. We also need to think about how tert-Fe feels like to someone who has it, and not only what it looks like to other people. This type of typology is what prompts people to self-reflect, and that is the catalyst of self-improvement and positive change.
So how does tert-Fe feel like? Yes, it looks like being more charming, more sociable, more empathetic than inf-Fe, but what does it feel like?
1) A battle in the axis: Ti vs Fe
Ti and Fe are the most conscious functions of an ExTP. The internal logic, that inner truth and comprehension is the priority, but there is a constant question: how are others going to react to the truth? ExTPs, just like IxFJs, are more conscious of the way truth (Ti here) affects others, but unlike the IxFJs, the ExTPs will worry less about the social harmony because…
2) …it has to be fun.
I like to think of the tertiary function as our playground. I can elaborate on that on another post if somebody wants to hear about that one. But our tertiary function is supposed to serve our dominant function in some way. And to say that a Ne/Se dominant would be looking for a melancholic, stale environment is a big no. Fe still serves Se/Ne and that is looking for that constant flow of physical/mental activity, and that will come off, to a tert-Fe user, as if they are just using people for their own enjoyment. I'm not saying we are manipulative and use people, but I am saying that Ne/Se is still our dominant function and the social sphere serves to feed said function.
But at the same time, tert Fe (unlike dom and aux Fe) does not feel responsible for the social environment. That means, that if you get the sense that people are not having fun, you might simply disengage from the group. So if you're the type of person who has a hard time dealing with a Bad Vibe social environment, and your first reaction is to leave, then you might be tert-Fe. Also, that's what makes ExTPs known as clowns or trolls because they use Fe to, well, have fun — they manipulate the social sphere in a way that is enjoyable to them. And that's why a solid moral code is sooooo important for ExTPs. I can elaborate on that too, if you'd like.
3) Manipulating the social sphere vs not engaging with it
This is for the ExTPs who might think they are IxTPs. I made that mistake before. But the thing about inf-Fe is that it is completely out of your control. There is no, absolutely none, desire to control the social sphere. Notice how I'm not talking about being social, because ExTPs can be extremely awkward, also asocial, but there is a pull to not be, there is a pull to take that Fe and make it about Se/Ne and have fun with it. An ExTP will look at the charm of a xxFJ and think "I want that" while an IxTP will look at it and think "that's a nightmare".
extra) The "people-pleaser" ExTP that nobody talks about but makes a lot of sense in theory
This is an extra. I'm just going to talk about a type of ExTP I think is extremely underrepresented or just outright forgotten. As a 7w6 sx/so it took me a long time to accept that ENTP made the most sense to me even though I scored highest on NeTi in multiple tests, been typed by a bunch of people, knew that Ne-Ti-Fe-Si functions were the most relatable, but yeah. I am not an asshole. And being an ExTP does not equate being an asshole, which a lot of people tend to ignore.
Tert-Fe can be just as important as Ti to an ExTP. The more important it is, the more aware you are of it, the more conscious you are of your Ti-Fe conflict. But the tricky thing is not Ti vs Fe but Fe vs Fi.
It is known that for Socionics ENTps and ESTps have what is called PoLR Fi. That means that Fi is an ExTPs' "weakest" function. Following that logic, it can be said that ExTPs have a hard time understanding and being aware of Fi — the comprehension of themselves as an individual. That said, an ExTP might not understand how they feel about a certain situation, Ti can logic their way into thinking that it is more productive to go with what someone else wants, and Fe wins — they can completely disregard what they want for the sake of Fe.
The thing is, Se/Ne are highly adaptable functions — they mold themselves to the external world. It's easier to bend to Fe than to Fi and that can lead to the ExTP neglecting their own needs in a relationship, for example. But it's different from how a xxFJ will neglect themself, who will do it out of a sense of duty maybe, but because the ExTP just thinks their needs are non-existent.

Forever coming to terms with the fact that my brain injury gets worse over time. The fact that I will cognitively backslide. The fact that I am not crazy and I really do struggle so much harder now than I did as a teen. The fact that my cognitive abilities are getting worse and there is no cure. Struggling today

I’m glad you’re feeling better now, Snow White. I hope that you regain your strength quickly and completely. Please try to be careful of yourself more. We need our beloved blogger at her best. 💖✨
I was also wondering which websites you have researched about MBTI and Enneagrams - if you wouldn't mind, would you please share them for me one day? There are so many of them and I don’t have much free time, it is difficult to discern which one is accurate... 😞
I have taken the tests a few times before from sites that my friend said were accurate and every time I came out as an INFP. Recently the same friend told me that the tests may not be so accurate after all, and that if I want an %100 correct result, I have to read and find it myself. I would appreciate if you can help me. (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

Hello, dear 🛵🌻-anon! ♥️ Thank you for your sweet words; I appreciate them. And of course, I can help you!
I’ve read content from truity, personality junkie, and personality hacker.
However, I’ve also gone through a bunch of comments on Quora. One can learn about the cognitive functions very well there. Many people specialize in this field and have studied cognitive functions for years, and their explanations are pretty good (beware of newbies who think they understand the functions well but don’t really; it’s definitely safer to start with the websites I gave you).
For starters, I think it would be nice for you to take cognitive function tests instead of MBTI type tests. The mistype investigator is great and can give you a sense of what you’re searching for. Then, you can read the content I’ve shared with you and do some research on Quora.
I can’t say much about Enneagram myself because I haven’t begun to study it yet (the other post was more of me explaining how I would likely do the research; I haven’t done it yet).
I hope it’s helpful!♥️

Do You Ever Look at Someone and Wonder, "What Is Going On Inside Their Head?"
If you do, you will love this blog! I would love to share with you my knowledge about brain functioning, neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology and more!
None of this sounds familiar? Don't worry! Here's a quick explanation:
As you probably know, inside our skulls, there is a cream colored sponge, called brain (yeah, I love calling brain a "sponge", it's quite common in my native language and it's fun), but do you know how it actually works? Not only in the biological aspect (neurons), but also how it creates mind (yeah, it's not the same thing, mind is more than just biological structures), psyche and, what's the most important, a person. Maybe you wonder why you're feeling emotions? How memory works? How am I possible to learn things and understand abstract issues? How about self-awareness and consciousness?
Yeah, so basically that's it, but not only. There's so much more interesting things that I want to share with you (so follow me to stay tuned ;) ).
But, who am I (author)?
Hi, I'm Tobi. I'm a first year student from Poland. I'm stu(dying) cognitive science, so most of my posts will be just issues discussed in my classes (yeah, I need motivation to study more). Probably I'm going to share some of my everyday student's life because content based only on science will get boring quite fast (it's not like shitposting about random stuff is just easier way of being active in scm and I'm also a little bit oversharing).
