You were probably already asked this regarding your au. But would the reveal of Scratch’s human self play into your Brighton Bay AU in some way or is Scratch one hundred percent a sea beast? (I saw that one post you wrote and I can guess the ‘forget Molly’ thing would NOT show up in the AU.)

This is something I've thought about a lot, especially now after the series finale, I'm so happy you asked me this /gen

The answer to "is scratch 100% a sea beast" is both yes and no, let me explain

Sea beasts have the ability to curse humans to become sea beasts themselves (hence why Molly can become a beast whenever she touches ocean water, Geoff only half cursed her) and usually they only do it as a last ditch effort to spite beast killers (I mean why wouldn't you want to say one last "fuck you" to the person who barged into your house and stabbed you repeatedly?)

To say that Scratch killed a sea beast to get cursed is an overstatement. Perhaps I'll make a fic about that one day

I've actually been brainstorming a way to implement his past into the AU since season 2 started. Just spoilers in advance, he can't ever become human again, those curses are permanent. (This isn't even to spite The End, they'd been permanent since me and a friend decided they were a thing)

I imagine after finding out who he was, he'd reunite with Adia eventually, travel the world with her for a while, then come back for a surprise stay at Brighton for a few weeks before going on their next great adventure. Who knows, maybe they'd even bring Molly along on one?

Hi! I am such a huge fan of The Beauty of Blue Bones and I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know. I’m mostly a naruhina girlie and this was my first naruhinasasu, and you have fully managed to convert me! It’s really impressive how you managed to naturally build up each of the separate couples and then meld them together in a way that makes me care about all of them individually and as a unit. I hope you’ll feel inspired to write more for this ship once this story ends. TBoBB was also the first horror I read! I scare super easily and I have absolutely lost hours of sleep thanks to this fic 😂 but the writing was so captivating I could not put it down. I’m very much looking forward to the next chapter. thank you so much for enjoying it! it’s my first time tackling horror, and i am looking to explore more genres so i’m glad that i managed to do that well enough. i’m sure you sent this much earlier since i just uploaded chō’s revenge haha. it’s also my first time doing naruhina as an actual pairing instead of a break-up, as you can tell by my page, i usually keep things to sasuhina but i am hoping to also tackle other ships i’ve been interested in. i’m sure i can figure out another sasunaruhina story along the lines, these stories just pop in my head randomly sometimes so who knows?

if i was being honest, building them together was hard for me because i’ve never written a poly story before and i was worried that i would spend too much time with one ship over the other. the comments i get about how they all feel natural makes me sigh in relief. anyway, we’ll see if another snh story hits during my daydreaming! see you then 🩵

I don't know if it's been confirmed but I think Din and Grogu have been together for around 3 years? Didn't Jon F say that between the end of s2 and tbobb a year passed? I'm a bit confused too 😅

I think the time gaps between each season in canon have been similar to what they’ve been in real life. For example:

Almost 1 year between S1 and S2

Just over 1 year between S2 and S2.5

Just over 1 year between S2.5 and S3

I think that’s pretty accurate, aside from maybe S2.5 to S3. I know their story’s taken place over the course of 3 years, given that time still passes while the season’s events are actually happening. Grogu and Din were on Sorgan for probably close to a month in season 1, which is just the passing of time that’s hard for us to see.

My first and life-changing encounter with good ol' space cowboy was the live action version and I was enamored in an incredible record time of approx. half a minute, so reading you all growing to love him just warms my heart.

I honestly don't understand what problem some people have with the appearance or characterization that cad bane has in live action, I found it even more intimidating and terrifying than in animation, I even saw and reblogged a publication that talks about the makeup process or similar things about bane and it seemed quite convincing to me, what is your opinion regarding the appearance of cab bane in live action, I invite you to tell me, I am very open to hearing opinions

The moment I saw it, I screamed like a giddy school-aged girl. My first impression was “OH MY GOD, IT’S CAD BANE!” Once over the initial shock, I started to judge his hat. Thought maybe his skin color was a little off, but then I rationalized maybe it was the lighting, or the harsh dual-suns of Tatooine that made him this way.

His rostrum/“nose” area was too short. It needed to be longer. He needed less of a chin. The mouth threw me off. The teeth threw me off. He’s of course older now. Maybe he had dental work done. But overall, the makeup artists, the costume designers, I assume they did their best with what they had? That, or they half-assed it.

Personally, the more and more I watch the footage, the more and more sexy live action Bane becomes. I have no problem with it. I see some of the edits, and while they are pretty good, I just don’t know how that would translate into extended scenes?

I was slightly disappointed, but now I have gotten used to the way he looks. Bane is Bane is Bane. No matter what he looks like I will always love him. Dorian Kingi did an amazing job, and for his mouth to be able to move like that I am sure other sacrifices had to be made. At least they didn’t go full CGI I guess? I assume making realistic aliens is a complicated endeavor, but I don’t know too much about that.

I am just thankful we had a live action Bane at all, and I do not think he’s dead. Fuck that. Todo 360 is gonna rescue his old ass.

Did you already explain in your AU how Scratch can be this huge sea beast one minute and then be small enough to fit in a bucket the next? Because that amuses me.

I'm gonna be honest, I really only came up with that as a gag + to get him more involved in town shenanigans, I never really thought about the logistics of it, especially since this au is mostly biology based with as little magic/supernatural as possible

But I think it was @what-is-this-about (hope you don't mind the tag) that suggested he gets bigger or smaller based on how much water is available

The purpose of that is probably to avoid getting stranded (he didn't do it when he got beached or he would have been Even More beached) plus scratch is the one character that shapeshifts the most in the series so it'd make some sense

I may give each beast a unique ability like that (especially since Jinx seems to inexplicably command Sobgoblins) I'm not sure but the more I think about it the more fun it sounds

Honestly I'm kind of giving up on TBoBB at this point. There have been a few good moments but it says something that one of the best written episodes isn't even about the main character. I'll watch the remaining 2 episodes to see what happens but I'm not expecting much. I can only hope that Boba is treated better if he guest stars in future projects.

Also, also bearing in mind that said Vulcan first officer has to have sex every seven years or die. (Yes. It's canon.) And yes, Spock 1701% knew that when he made this declaration of "fuck everybody else, I wanna be alone with Jim forever."

So if they were to, as Spock so eagerly proposed under the influence of alien butterflies that reveal YOUR STRONGEST DESIRES -- as in these are not feelings fabricated for Spock, this alien just tempts him with exactly what is already there and brings it to the surface -- your own genuine, deepest desire, which for Spock is:

"Jim . . . We can stay. Just you and I. We don't need those others . . . We can go down to the planet. We can be together, always."

AKA Spock's feelings for Jim get allowed out of their cage by butterflies but them bugs shonuff were not ready for the geiser that is SPOCK'S FEELINGS and they just explode out of him like: "JIIIIIIM!"

I am going to take this time to once again remind you, Spock has to have sex with someone every seven years or he is going to die. And he knows this. But his greatest desire is to go to this planet (or maybe any planet) with Jim. Alone. So they can be together always.

So uh . . . I guess Spock has just made it quite abundantly clear; he has his mind made up about who he has officially chosen to be his mate for the remainder of his Pon Farr cycle.

That is, according to Spock's deepest, most genuine desire of having Jim Kirk all to himself on a planet so that they can be alone together, always. (Oh my fucking God.)

'ALWAYS' consists of A LOT of seven year intervals spent ALONE WITH SOMEONE who absolutely MUST HAVE SEX WITH YOU OR YOU'LL DIE.

So this popped up on my activity page, so I reread it, and wow! TBoBB proved me wrong on almost every single point. All that’s left is for Bo to pick petty fights with Din, which, judging by trailer, may be accurate.

Things I want out of Mandalorian Season 3 that I probably won’t get but am praying for anyway:

- Opening shot of the first episode is Grogu looking longingly at the mythosaur pendant. Mirrored by a shot of Din looking longingly at the metal ball.

- Cara teasing Din because the bounty for bringing in Moff Gideon and Pershing was HUGE and he used it to buy yet ANOTHER shitty, old ship.

- Din rolling the ball between his fingers when he’s sad or anxious.

- Peli chewing Din out because “what do you mean the Razor Crest blew up?! You know how much work I put into that thing?!”

- Bo Katan constantly picking fights with Din over the darksaber but she immediately backs off when he tries to just give it to her.

- Updates in how Grogu’s doing every episode.

- assurance Luke has been keeping contact with Din and updating him on Grogu’s progress.

- Din and Grogu reunite no later than episode 4.
