1. Random short story based on S1E6

Jean Beazely could name all the cities in Australia she had never visited by heart. And all the countries, and their capitols. Which is to say she could name every major city on a map of the world. She had never visited them, and she missed them all.

2. Call Me Seniorita

A small collection of wooden boats, seemingly held together by the tears of the Virgin Mary the locals painted on every wall bobbed with the tide while moored to tires or hunks of cement along a dirty beach.

3. Distant Shores

Lucien stood on the deck of the ship and watched as the shore of his homeland faded into the distance, and was glad to be leaving behind the ashes of the love he had burned to the ground. He knew he would never return. As the ship charged into the night towards darker distant shores he resolved to be a dutiful husband, knowing he would never be a loving one.

Was thinking today about some of my favorite lines I've written. It's easy, when you write a lot, to forget some of it, all of it, to be so focused on what's next we don't take a minute to celebrate what's been accomplished already. So I want to post a few excerpts I especially love now, and I also want to encourage other writers to share some of their own stuff that you're proud of! Notes: Happy Birthday Dee! @doctoraliceharvey Thank you all for your patience as always. I moved jobs and am dealing with some stuff in my personal life which is not leaving me much brain space to write. I'm struggling with the timing of the events in the next two chapters, hopefully I can work through it soon. Tried to find a balance between Mei Lin being a bitch, but still giving her a reason to why she's wanting to hold onto the family she lost and Lucien trying to be his beautiful gentle self but also calling her out on her behavior, I hope it rings true and doesn't give you whiplash.

Personally, your comments are the only thing keeping me writing at this stage. I'm committed to finishing this story, and I have the next three chapters loosely written, but if you could leave me a comment about something you liked about the chapter, that would go a long way to help me persist. It's a hard slog for me at the moment.
