Lu au where everyone is the age of their game
Wild is 7
Warriors is 10
Sky is 13
Twilight is 18
Four is 20
Wind is 22
Time is 26
Legend is 33
Hyrule is 37
Warriors and Wild are LITERALLY child soldiers, Sky is in middle school (and is more than happy to travel as it means he has less homework to do…)
Twilight is a fresh adult and doesn’t know what he’s doing with his life
Four is still as short as he is in the comic. Also much to Sky’s dismay Four basically becomes his teacher so he doesn’t fall behind in his studies.
Wind finally can legally drink…. He’s the wine aunt. He’s a nut case. The kids love him. He and Time were babysitting Warriors during the WAR and they’re both still mad they put a like, 9 year old into a war.
Time is freshly married…. He’s as bad (if not worse) then Sky ever could be when it comes to being lovey dovey.
Legend is mad he has to go on another adventure after he’s been comfortably retired for a decade. He becomes the new old man, despite Rulie being older…. And btw Hyrule is still his little brother.
Hyrule is aging wonderfully much to everyone’s surprise. He looks 25. He still can’t read btw but he has mastered life in the wilderness. He is like a mountain lion, he can hide behind anything and sneak anywhere now. Give him a leaf and he’ll find a way to hide behind it and you’ll never see him….
They would’ve never found Hyrule if they didn’t have Warriors and Wild with them, and even then them finding Hyrule was more so Hyrule allowing them to find him so he could check on the kids.

Things That Are and Are Not Changing as a Result of Re-Teaching Myself Basic Math
Things That Are Changing
I am less anxious about basic math.
I have more tools for doing basic arithmetic problems.
I'm better at identifying which will be the fastest or easiest tool for any given problem.
I can more quickly and easily ID when an exact answer is needed or when an estimate will suffice.
I'm marginally better at noticing when an answer can't be correct.
Things That Are Not Changing
I still transpose numbers frequently.
I still transpose operations frequently (adding when I should subtract, dividing when I should multiply, etc.)
I still have initial anxiety when looking at a math problem, before the "oh yeah, I have more tools for addressing this now" kicks in.
I still frequently mix up my right and my left.
My sense of direction is still bad.
I cracked Maths - No Problem! Textbook 4A today, putting me halfway through the series. I'm making this list for future reference, because I suspect the things that aren't changing will continue to not change.
Better math education won't change the fact that I have dyscalculia. I didn't expect it to, but I also didn't know what it would or wouldn't change. When I started this, I didn't know where my dyscalculia ended and my poor math education or math anxiety began.
Still, if we can fix "poor math education" and "math anxiety," I'll be much further ahead than when I started - and more willing to live with the dyscalculia.

In the 6th grade Nikita was enrolled in a math class. But he didn't gravitate towards science.
Marina Lytkina recalls: "The teacher had no pedagogical education, she's a programmer. And she interacted with the children as if they were students, she didn't explain anything to them. She corrected mistakes in the notebooks and said that they should have listened in class. People have never understood that he's not like everyone else: he will never ask for anything, always silent. Nikita stopped studying in the 8th grade. He began to skip classes, including in the main subject — mathematics. But back then, he was still listening to me."
But soon Nikita stopped obeying his mother. He studied at the energy college for a some time. He was expelled from there after failing the first midterm exams. The following year, in September 2010, he began attending classes at the construction college. Two months later, he and Artyom went on their first hunt.

The energy college. The construction college.
Studying at the construction college turned into trouble.
Marina Lytkina: "At first, Nikita was teased and bullied. And then they started extorting money from him. Then he was patronized by one of his classmates, and in return, together with the older guys, he demanded money — in other words, he engaged in extortion. They came to our apartment together and took everything they found. First, they took some money, then they took my walkman, and the last time they stole the gold. Nikita followed them like a steer. It was impossible to hide the loss. I found out everything and called the police. A criminal case was opened."
Later, Marina recanted the statement to the police — she didn't want that boy to be imprisoned.

Ethari: If you had 10 moonberry surprises and Runaan asks for 2, how many would you have?
Little Rayla: 10, 'cause Runaan knows not to ask for my moonberry surprise
Ethari: Okay, if you had 10 moonberry surprises and Runaan forcibly takes 2, how many would you have left?
Little Rayla: 10 and a dead Runaan 'cause you'd beat him up for taking 'em without my permission
Ethari: ...
Runaan: *eyes Ethari* That's true and you KNOW it
Ethari, sighs: Yes, I suppose it is

Kids these days are quite spoiled… they get to add, subtract, multiply, and divide any numbers they want without specifying their field or proving that the operations they’re using are well defined… do they just expect that the teacher will do all the work ahead of time??
Utterly preposterous…

hey i cant stop thinking about finance or mathematics teacher nanami x art teacher reader and reader is shamelessly eccentric with their bright coloured clothes, some of which they make themselves, their fancy shoes, elaborate hairstyles/head-wraps, odd earrings, a very messy desk (but they know where and what everything is), talkativeness and emotionality with a loud passion for the arts and it’s importance in society…
…and then theres nanami who is…just so different from you. he’s all astute, logical, two or three piece suits, simple, slicked back hair, quiet, neat, believes he fits in, stresses the importance (and sometimes, superiority) of industries and just the subjects of math and finances and economics and everything in between.
and in a way, he stands out like you do, due to your unique shared passion of your favourite subjects and your dedication to teaching such subjects and helping your students to understand their necessity.
too bad the passion you both have for your favoured subjects is the reason for your initial, mutual dislike for one another ;(

Taught a class on combinatorics today. One of the problems we tried to solve went something like this:
You have 40 books, but 7 of them are a series that you want to read in the correct order. Other than that the reading order is up to you. How many possible reading orders like that are there?
I hope that any Discworld fans in the class will then try to figure out how many reading orders there are where every subseries is read in order and accidentally learn some math.
(The math is not that hard, but it involves numbers like 41! and is, as such, best left as an excercise for the reader)
