I have now completed a short course in a organisation that lets teachers of children age 8-16 to get a STEM industry person out to give a presentation and exercise with the youngsters. I am going teach a LOT of youngsters that tech is for EVERYone

It is going to be SO much fun!

And I am going to start every presentation with showing a picture of my polycule and then have them hack their schools network to enable chat communication with eachother in a way that cannot be stopped but IS very easy to monitor. How will the kids rebel or learn if no one teaches them how to poke at tech?

And then show thrm how you can just press F12 on any website. Then you mark some text in the website, copy it, then go to the inspector and search for that text. You will find it in the HTML and you... can just edit it

Then take a video of you interacting with the website because people think photoshop is the only way to fake this shit. And now you can convince most people about anything.

I will have them make jokes with it. But I will also be teaching a lot of kids to NEVER trust anything on the web that does not have a link as a source. :D

Man, this is why I always hated math class.

Khan Academy gave me this easy (or so I thought) problem to solve:

"A factory makes toys that are sold for $10 a piece. The factory has 40 workers, and they each produce 25 toys a day. The factory is open 5 days a week. What is the total value of toys the factory produces in a day?"

I said to myself, okay...

10 times 40 times 25 equals 10,000. That means the factory produces $10,000 worth of value per WORKING day.

10,000 times 5 equals 50,000. And then there are two days per week (the weekend) when no value is produced. So, per week, the total value produced is still only $50,000.

And finally, there are seven days in a full week, so $50,000 divided by 7 equals roughly $7,142.86. That's the total value of toys produced per day. Not "per work day", but "per day", as it specifically says in the problem.

But what does the teacher say as he guides us through it? 10 times 40 times 25 equals 10,000, so the answer is 10,000.

That's it. The end.

He even acknowledges: "So, you might be thinking, 'Hey wait, we didn't use all the information! We didn't use the "five days per week" information!' And yeah, as it turns out, that was information we didn't need."

'As it turns out'?! Are you kidding me right now?! I carefully read the question, precisely calculated exactly what it was asking for, taking all of the provided information into account... and now you're saying I'm supposed to have somehow magically known to ignore one of those pieces of information in order to make it easier for myself?

Just admit that your problem is worded badly, dude. UGH this kind of shit drives me crazy. Why can't people use words clearly >:(

#so in graphic design class i have access to all of the adobe software #so after i finish my assignment each day i rush onto animate #and teach myself to animate #so far this is the fruit of my labors #tomorrow im going to color it and give it eyes #im also gonna work on making it overall more detailed and prettier #id work on it at home #but NONE of the FIVE computers in my house are new enough to run adobe software #the plan is to save up some money and buy a new laptop and one of those drawing-pad thingies with a pen #and then i can animate in my free time too!#doodley dude #three pigeons in a trench coat
