On special occassions, Sai loves to bring his drawings for you to life, enjoying the look of amazement on your face

Ino Yamanaka - Gift Giving

This girl is gonna treat you RIGHT, believe that! She's is incredibly open with her feelings, especially when it comes to flowers. You will be getting flowers for every occassion, sometimes just randomly. She'll buy you other gifts like jewelry and clothes and books, but her real love language is flowers. Her bouquets aren't just randomly put together either, Ino carefully hand picks each one and take in mind the meaning of each one. The longer you date you will soon learn the different meanings, which makes her so proud. Although she doesn't really expect anything back every time, make sure to get her a lil something for special occassions, she'll appreciate it~

Shikamaru Nara - Quality Time

We know Shikamaru is a lazy bitch, but that's what we love about him! He may seem distant and seemingly uncaring, but if you look closely you can clearly see how he shows affection. Sure he may not wash you with praises or get you expensive things, but he stays by your side. Always. Somehow he always is in the same room as you, even if you are doing two different things. You're always together in some sort. He'll definitely deny it, but you notice he doesn't leave still. It's kind of like a cat, ya know? Shikamaru gets especially clingy when you're in bed together. This man doesn't get up for hours, and you aren't getting up either. You will lay and sleep with him for 3 more hours, no discussion

Choji Akimichi - Acts of Service

Just... just so sweet. My boy is such a sweetie oh my god. Choji is quite nervous in your relationship, both due to low self-esteem and just anxiety in general. Just you surprising him with a hug is enough to fluster him for a solid minute. Since more direct ways get him anxious, Choji prefers to do things for you, and his favorite thing is to cook for you. This man can COOK like no one's business! You guys will go out to eat on the weekends (there is nothing like fresh barbecue), but through the week he is in the kitchen cooking your favorite meals full of love. Seeing your giant smile and hearing your satisifed eating makes his heart soar. Also, you are one of the only people who he'll always share his snacks with, no hesitation (the other is Shikamaru, obviously)

Kiba Inuzuka - Physical Touch

Kiba is a toucher, hands down. He LOVES to just touch you all over. He is always in contact with you no matter what, appropriate or otherwise. Hands on your waist, head on your shoulder, fingers in your hair, sometimes he will just randomly pick you up to get a reaction out of you. Let's be real, Kiba's a dog through and through, and dogs adore attention. Whenever he wants your attention or love, Kiba will poke you and bug you until you give in and cuddle with him. Spooning is his absolute favorite position. Give this man his head pats and belly rubs god dammit, and don't forget Akamaru!. Oh and uh, warning, this man is also perverted. Quite perverted. Your cuddle sessions will devolve into him dry humping you 50% of the time. You gonna get manhandled and groped quite a bit (every touch full of love <3)

Hinata Hyuga - Words of Affirmation

You thought Choji was shy? You haven't seen nothing yet. Hinata was already a sweating mess when you were just friends, the moment you asked her out she literally fainted and collapsed on the floor. Thankfully she is better now (and didn't get brain damage), but it's still nerve-wracking to be in a relationship with you. You're just so... perfect. And Hinata wants you to know that. Throughout the day she is normally very sweet and appreciative, but whenever you are on dates or cuddling in private, she lets all her feelings out. You can call this a cop out, but let's be real, Lee is the embodiment of EVERY love language. He never stops gushing to you about your beauty and skills, and screams how much he loves you from the rooftops. Anything you ask him to do will be done in record time perfectly. He loves to give you extravagent gifts for your anniversaries and random occasions. Spending time with you is his favorite thing in the world, especially when you train together. And physical touch? He is always happy to hug and kiss you all over. Lee is just full of love for you!! He knows he can be a bit overwhelming at times and will calm down if you tell him. He just is so grateful to have you in his life, and wants you to know that every day for the rest of your life

Neji Hyuga - Words of Affirmation

It may come as a shock to most due to his sharp tongue, but the way Neji shows his love is by words. To most he is aggressive and stand-offish, and ocassionally is to you too. It's just how he is unfortunately. But unlike with others, he is noticabely incredibly soft with you and is much more open. Neji isn't afraid to compliment how you look or give praise when you succeed at something. Even when he gets annoyed he doesn't raise his voice or throw insults at you, he stays respectful. Tenten - Quality Time

Tenten is pretty easy going and prefers a partner who is the same. Of course some spice and excitement is greatly welcomed, but at the end of the day she just wants to sit back and relax with her partner. So spending time together means a lot to her. She loves going on dates where you guys try something new (just no long hikes, please) but if needed will default to the local weapon museum. By the way, everytime one of you has to go on a mission, Tenten will act cool but will secretly pout the whole time until you meet up again

Gaara - Physical Touch

As he's grown, Gaara has turned into a real sweetheart. With you he is incredibly gentle and cares for you deeply. You are his treasure, you deserve the world. He still is dealing with social anxiety, and can be a bit awkward sometimes. But Gaara is always comfortable touching and holding you. His touches are gentle and kind, and sensual when he wants. He likes to give gentle kisses all over you throughout the day, and whenever he leaves for work he gives you a loving kiss before he leaves. Gaara also really values cuddling together. Temari - Words of Affirmation

Temari is fiery as hell, and you knew that the moment you met. And her words are just as sharp! She isn't afraid to tell off people who annoy you guys (especially when you are on dates, they are DEAD). With you she is still mildly aggressive and intense, but in a more lighthearted way. She just gets so worried about you, she can't help herself from scolding you for being an idiot. Every word she says (positive or negative) comes from the heart. When you manage to not be a fool Temari is vocalising her approval and pride. Oh, and she has a habit of openly bragging about how amazing you are to your peers (much to your embarrassment)

Kankuro - Quality Time

This man is a teeeeeease (in a good way or bad way, your decision). He is constantly joking and making fun of you, reveling in your cute annoyance. He even likes to annoy you physically like blowing on your neck or pinching your butt. Kankuro is quite playful pretty much 95% of the time, but the other 5% he's actually quite sweet. Spending time with you is his favorite thing in the world! Yeah it's fun messing with you, but he likes to just have genuine connections and going on more mature dates. His favorite thing is dancing surprisingly, and he honestly is quite good. Holding you close and swaying makes him content ... Until he sneaks in one of his puppets halfway through, scaring the shit out of you in the process (he slept on the couch but it was worth it)

Sunagakure Worldbuilding Headcanon

My last post on Kirigakure made me think of some Sunagakure Headcanons. Here they are! This is very long, but I hope you enjoy!

People and Culture

The wind realm’s population is rather decentralized, so there are a lot of subcultures, accents and customs that have developed over time. The people of Sunagakure are very intelligent and hard workers and don’t take shit from anyone. They value their independence but also recognize the use of unionizing to achieve their goals. They use rather few words to communicate amongst each other in public, but in private they can be very poetic. Also, they secretly don’t mind the stereotype of tumbleweeds rolling around everywhere in the village, because they can relate. To outsiders, they seem secretive and mysterious, but they are in reality very friendly and hospitable. Once you make a friend in Suna, you’ve made a friend for life. Gift giving, especially in the form of food or other self-made goods is always appreciated. Suna citizens are hopeless romantics, and most soap operas and sappy romance books are produced there. They love to make music and sing together. Most instruments originate from the wind realm and its citizens proudly call themselves the creators of all music in the shinobi world. The wind realm is the country with the richest culture in the shinobi world.

Politics

Recently, Suna has been plagued by an economic crisis, as the wind realm daimyo has preferably hired Konoha shinobi to get missions done. This has raised the distrust in the wind realm government and made the people more loyal to the kazekage than the daimyo. The shinobi have started to prioritize the mission over the lives of the shinobi fulfilling it, however they make sure to give their teammates a quick and painless death if they get into that situation.

Clothing and Cosmetics

Most Suna Shinobi wear long sleeves and cover their head, to protect their skin from sun damage. It’s also very common to cover your face in layers of fabric, as the Suna sandstorms can be ruthless. Light brown, grey, white and black are the most popular colors, as they allow you to blend in with your surroundings and not get detected by enemy shinobi. All people, including kuniochis, keep their hair rather short, cover it or tie them together in some kind of way. There are a lot of unique hairstyles to deal with the strong winds, as can be seen by Temari, who wears four ponytails because the winds would otherwise just destroy her hairstyle if she wore just two. For festive occasions though, Suna clothes are vibrant and colorful, with very intricate details. The most preferred fabric choices are silk and cotton. Before the recession, Suna also had a booming beauty industry, with the best moisturizers, sunblock and body wash originating from there. There is an ongoing feud between the wind realm and the water realm about who has the better skincare products. Wind realm citizens are known to always smell good and take great care of themselves. They use bidets and shower frequently. The women are rumored to be the most beautiful in the shinobi world, however many of them have to deal with orientalism and exoticism from foreigners.

Nature

Flora

A fact that a lot of foreigners get wrong is that Sunagakure is covered completely in desert wasteland. Quite a bit of vegetation is savannah and what we call mediterranean. Still a rather hot country, it is characterized by agonizingly hot summers and barely existing winters. The actual deserts of the wind realm are sprinkled with oases, around which many settlements have formed. The terrain around those oases is very fertile and most of the country’s produce is grown there. Sandstorms are not a rarity here and during these storms there are self-imposed curfews as Suna citizens know that once you get buried in a sandstorm, there is no way anyone will find you buried under all that sand. Only a few nomadic families actually travel and live outside of the oases.

Fauna

The deserts that surround Suna are filled to the brim with the most dangerous, savage animals known to the shinobi realm. The snakes especially must not be underestimated, as their venom can kill a grown shinobi within minutes. Many marionette wielders therefore use it against their enemies. The rivers of the wind realm are full of crocodiles and freshwater fish. The fennec fox is seen as a symbol of good luck and suna nin believe their mission will be a success when they see one. Aside from other cats of prey like lions, cheetahs and leopards. Other mammals include hyenas, hyraxes, macaques, gazelles, oryxes, camels, hedgehogs and sheep. When it comes to rodents, you can find desert rats, porcupines, armadillos, meerkats and gundis. Suna also has the largest spider population in the shinobi world, and you often must check your toilet and shower for any venomous spiders hanging out there. At night you can see bats flying through the sky. The wind realm sea is a home to many kinds of saltwater fish and sometimes you can visit the dolphins, that are particularly friendly to children. Mosquito stings are nasty here, and many diseases, for example those that we call malaria and dengue fever are endemic here. Wind realm citizens have a natural immunity against them and sleep them off in a day, but there are vaccinations available for foreigners.

Food

Stew and other slow cooked gravy dishes The absolute staple of any Suna nin are stews. They’re elaborate and take the whole day to cook. Every family has its own recipes (and thinks theirs is the best) it’s useful to just cut up veggies and meat, and then slow cook it until it’s done. Stews made in Suna include gumbo, adobo, maafe, and many curries. Spices Wind realm citizens have the greatest spice tolerance in the shinobi world. The greatest variety of spices is produced there, from cumin, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, pepper, chilli, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, bay leaves, tumeric and a myriad of other herbs and spices. Suna food is very spicy for two reasons: many spices they use have a disinfecting effect, and the accelerated production of sweat helps cool down the body. Most spices are sold dried to increase shelf life. Many outsiders travel to Suna to acquire spices directly from the source, thinking they’ll get them for cheap, however, the vendors charge foreigners at a hefty margin. Sunagakure is the greatest exporter of all things spices.

Legumes Legumes play a very important role in the local eating pyramid. They serve as a satiating source of carbohydrates and protein. Beans and lentils can be turned into tofu, stew, mashed or baked, peanuts are often used as a base for stew and sauces in the form of peanut butter. Roasted and salted peanuts are a popular snack in Sunagakure. The biggest buyer of Suna’s exported legumes is Iwagakure.

Cassava This starchy root is soaked and then cooked for a long time to make mash, in stews, or fried. Cassava flour also serves as a gluten free flour alternative and many Suna nin use it to thicken sauces and stews. There’s also tapioca starch which is exported into other countries. Olives In the moderate climate regions, many olive trees are grown, which are then used to make olive oil, the preferred fat source of Suna’s people. Dairy It can often be purchased from nomad families, who sell it in the form of milk, yoghurt, kefir, butter and cheese. The preferred dairy variant is goat’s dairy; however, sheep and cow’s dairy are also available. There’s a possibility that the concept of fermenting milk to make yoghurt and kefir was once brought in by Kiri immigrants, however most wind realm citizens are too proud to give this possibility any thought or think it’s just a myth. Meat Just like dairy, meat can be purchased from several families that travel though the wind realm, or on bazars. It is dried often to increase shelf life. Sweets The best chocolate comes from here. The wind realm has a few islands where cocoa beans are produced, and Suna chocolate is known globally for its rich, earthy, fruity taste. Suna Nin are also the only people that regularly take coffee with them during missions. Most foreigners don’t like the bitter taste, but Sunagakure’s shinobis have realized that the caffeine within coffee beans is useful during missions where you must stay aware for long times. The most common sweetener is cane sugar and used to make coffee candy. Wind realm citizens don’t discriminate, and even children are allowed to have them. Another sweet food, especially popular amongst children are dates. On special occasions, Baklava are offered to the guests or given as a gift. Most foreigners find them way too sweet, but just can’t say no because they recognize the effort and craftsmanship that went into making them. The most popular fruit in Suna are: pomgranate, various kinds of citrus fruits, apples, grapes and green almonds. Ripened almonds are used to make marzipan, which is another one of Suna's culinary prides. Those who try persipan, a localized version from Kirigakure, think that it is a lesser version of their beloved treat.

Has a strict "no uggos" dating policy. However, his taste in people is...eclectic. So it's difficult to discern who's going to make him go insane with lust and who's going to make him go insane with offense to the gaze.

Loves eating coconut, but it always gets stuck in his teeth.

Lowkey likes the smell of sweat on a person (who's not an uggo).

Facial hair grows in patchy :(

Still sometimes has nightmares about when Gaara was largely ruled by Shukaku. In them he's often crushed to death via sand or has to watch Temari get trapped in the sand coffin.

Temari

Kind of goes out of her way to keep her hair coarse and dehydrated lmao it helps it poof up the way she likes.

Is farsighted, but refuses to admit it (it's why she prefers to be a distance fighter)

Can be a bit of a player!! She has a string of people across Wind thinking she's coming back to visit someday to reignite whatever it is they started while she passed through. And she very well might, for she loves a free place to stay.

Sucks at genjutsu and usually gets her feelings hurt if someone traps her in one during training.

Has, like, super steady hands.

Shikamaru Nara, Country: Land of Fire, Discipline: Men’s singles

Shikamaru went to figure skating classes thanks to Ino’s insistence (along with Choji) and ended up being really good, so the teachers encouraged him to go to competitions. In part, he decided to get along with it so his mom wouldn't bother him with other activities, and he enjoyed it enough. 

He placed well in novice and juniors, even winning international events. He continued to the senior level and was praised for his consistency, technical elements, clean and precise footwork, but felt choosing the music, choreography and costume troublesome and mostly left it for his coaches to decide. 

He has low stamina and tends to struggle towards the end of his programs. His nonchalant personality helped him become a fan favorite.

Temari Sunagane, Country: Land of Wind, Discipline: Women’s singles

Temari started skating later than what is usual for competitive skaters, at 12 yo. The Land of Wind is not a strong country in figure skating but she was a very stubborn kid and loved the feeling of flying when doing a jump and the wind in her face at high speed, and most importantly, winning in whatever competition she could get into. 

She improved fast and managed to go to international competitions as a novice and junior, placing well enough to be a strong contender as a senior in her first year. Jumps are her forte, her artistry and technique however are often criticized and the judges would usually give her a low score, which became more of an issue as a senior.

Because Suna didn’t have the best infrastructure for figure skating at the time, she insisted on going to skating camps in other cities, including Konoha. She eventually changed training sites there.

But instead, Shikamaru rose from his chair, nodded politely and moved away from his table. He glanced down at the board Temari stood beside, frowned, and made a curious shape with his bottom lip before shuffling away with a quiet “Thanks.”'

Summary: friendly competition turns in to fluff.

She glared at me, eyes unblinking as her chopsticks scrape the bottom of her bowl of rice. I refuse to drop her gaze, quickly shoveling one last piece of meat and some rice in to my mouth as my eyebrows knit together. Temari only breaks our connection to lift the bowl unceremoniously to her face, allowing me to do the same.

“Done!” We shout in perfect unison as the bowls slam down against the table. Shikamaru groans, face against the table in boredom as Choji laughs,” it’s another tie. You guys are going to be at this all night.”

“My bowl hit the table first, you seen it… right Shikamaru?” Temari stammers out, slapping her hands against the table as she stands.

“Why are you asking me? I’m not even watching… such a drag.” Shikamaru huffs out, sliding his chair in place with his foot and quickly making his way to the exit of the barbecue restaurant.

“Choji is right, it was another perfect tie. Can we settle this with something other than food? This bill is starting to look like a house payment, and I can think of several places I’d rather be.” Ino mumbles out, scanning the receipt the waitress slipped at the end of the table. Mouth still full, I grab it to see the damage. I choke at the final price,” yeah. You’re right, I’ll grab the bill.”

“Please. It was my challenge so I’m paying.” Temari quips back, snatching it from my hands before her eyes bulge upon seeing the price.

“Temari, it’s fine. Just let me pay it since it was my stupid idea.” I answer, quickly pulling out cash from my side pouch. She rolls her eyes in reply, sliding the receipt back over before standing,” fine. But I choose the next challenge.”

“You’re only here for another night, why don’t you just relax and enjoy the hot springs or something?” Ino offers, flicking her ponytail over her shoulder while opening the door.

“Why don’t you join us Ino?” I pipe up, catching up to them on the street with Choji in tow.

“Honestly? No thanks. I don’t want to think of how you two will make it in to a challenge.” Ino chuckles out, already breaking from the group in front of the flower store before continuing,” besides, we have a wedding order we have to prepare for and looks like the shipment just came in.”

I look at the remaining two behind me after Ino quickly runs off in to the shop and locks the door,” Choji?”

“I wouldn’t be much company unless you care to talk across a wall the whole time we’re there. I’ll go see where Shikamaru is hiding.” Choji dryly excuses himself as he’s already walking away. As my eyes meet Temari’s, she quickly looks to the ground and takes a second to regain her cocky composure,” well don’t just stand there. Are you waiting for me to ask if we should race there or something?”

“No, maybe we should just enjoy it. I have a mission tomorrow anyway, and you have a long trek back to the sand.” I shyly huff out, scratching at the back of my head and awkwardly adjusting my headband. She nods stiffly, robotically shuffling towards the springs. The short walk was silent, casually stealing glances and looking for a sign of competition. After checking in and getting in to towels, I let the evening air welcome me as the door slides open to the outside. Heavy steam floats lazily over the springs as the lights illuminate from underneath. The sun tinges orange as the night time hum of crickets settles in to replace bird song. I breathe deep, closing my eyes and tilting my head to take in the serenity that’s quickly interrupted.

“It’s peaceful.” Temari whispers sidling your beside me, motioning with her head to reveal the springs were empty except us. I nod back, sitting against the rock ledge to dip my legs in the hot water,” yeah. I guess that’s rare when the two of us are together. She giggles back and joins me on the ledge,” I guess so. But I enjoy us together- the competition part… friendly rivalry and all.”

Temari clears her throat as her face turns red before biting her lip. I could’ve mistook her blush for the rising heat of the springs, but we weren’t even fully in.

“Yeah, I enjoy us together too… I enjoy having a reasonable competitor I mean.” I stammer out, adjusting my hand and accidentally bumping hers. We awkwardly laugh together as our hands fly away at the touch,”s-sorry! I’m just- tired?”

I instinctively lean closer towards her, replacing my own hand on top of hers,” it’s easier when I let you win all the time. I just enjoy the look of happiness when you win.”

She sucks in her breath, gasping slightly,” y-yeah right. You’re just trying to catch me off guard is all. But it won’t work on me.”

Temaris hand quickly slides from beneath mine, inching closer towards my waist line as her eyes narrow. It was my turn to blush as her finger darts up to trace the hem of my towel as she continues,” or maybe you do have an infatuation with me like you claim…”

I quickly grip her hand with both of mine to stop her motion, setting both our hands in my lap as my heads drops,��� listen. I like you… a lot. But if you’re just going to use that as an advantage I can’t lie when I say it would honestly break my heart, Temari. That’s why I hide it, I like how we are.”

Tamari’s voice catches in her throat as her body stills,” I’m not one to play on someone’s emotions unless it was for the good of my village or my allies. I seen what it does first hand with Gaara.”

“So then, what are we even doing right now, Temari?” I utter out, squeezing her hand slightly.

She takes several moments of silence before replying,” enjoying a peaceful moment… together.”

Temari drops her head softly on my shoulder, sighing deeply before a soft chuckle vibrates against me,” I have to admit, you hide your emotions very well, Y/N. I thought you truly hated me and you were out to prove you were better than me.”

I slowly rest my head on top of hers, catching soft notes of lavender and a sweet scent from fresh cactus,” I could never begin to hate you.”

A yawn quickly escapes me as my eyes droop and Temari is quick to follow,” Y/N, I like you. Maybe more than I should with how far apart we are.”

“Listen, distance is nothing. I can apply for more aid missions in the sand village or whatever. If that’s truly all you’re worried about… it’s nothing.” I sigh, snaking a hand around her back and up to stroke the top of her head, admiring how her hair looked down. She hums in content,” or you could just transfer to the sand village completely… or I could come here.”

“Gaara needs you, he is Kazekage and he needs your support. Let’s take our time, okay? We don’t have to rush things.” I reply, wondering if distance would truly be our demise. Temari’s hand curls around my waist as she nuzzles closer and giggles,” so you are smart sometimes.”

“Hey! That’s a low blow. Plus it’s not easy for me, you can’t exactly just leave the ANBU.” I remind her, half of me hoping she isn’t upset, and the other half excited I only had three missions left.

“You don’t have many missions left, what will you do afterwards?” She asks, yawning again.

“Probably what most do, become a sensei to the Genin so I still have income and pester you when I can.” I giggle back as her head tilts.

I watch her face contort from argumentative, to a heavenly sight. Her eye’s drooped peacefully, blonde hair clinging to her misted face and pink tinged cheeks. Lips plump, almost begging to be kissed. They beckoned harshly, and I couldn’t resist. Quickly leaning down to break the distance and feeling as her body stills before leaning fully in to mine, coincidentally sending us both in to the springs. A yelp sounds from Temari as we both sink below the surface. I break through, gasping for air and wiping the steaming water from my eyes and laughing. Temari is quick to follow, slowly fishing our completely soaked towels from below.

“Well… there goes our modesty on the way in.” She laughs, tossing them against the edge with a loud smacking noise. I huff a laugh and splash a handful of water against her,” please, you of all people worried about your modesty? You dragged me under on purpose!”

“How else am I supposed to watch you walk out in front of me naked without asking bluntly?” She quips back. I shrug my shoulders as she splashed me back,” all you have to do is ask.”

As I wipe the fresh water once again from my eyes, my lips are quickly met with hers once again. She lingers for several seconds, taking in all my senses as her hands trace random patterns against my back,” well next time I’ll make sure to just steal your clothes from your locker so I can see you in my clothes.”

“Is that a promise?” I fire back, pushing her down in to the water. We splash each other a few times, quickly interrupted by a dramatic groan,” I knew you two would make this in to a competition.”

“Ino!” We both scream in unison, quickly covering ourselves.

“Please, it’s a hot spring. No need for modesty you weirdos.” Ino scoffs, dropping her towel above our soaked ones without noticing. Temari groans, quickly followed by myself,” and now all three of us will have to walk back naked.”

Ino looks to her now drenched towel, quickly grimacing,” what did you two idiots even do?”

I circle my arm around Temari and pull her close, receiving an eyebrow raise from Ino,” it’s a long story.”

“I’ve got time.” She feigns a yawn of boredom, examining her nails and pointing her sight to a now beet red Temari. Her eyes widen in realization,” I knew it! Oh no! Did I interrupt a love confession?”

“No, no. That parts already over. You missed it.” I laugh while quickly being pulled in to Temari’s body, one hand behind me and the other clamping over my mouth,” alright you two! Enough gossip for tonight. Don’t go running your mouth to anyone just yet, Ino.”

Temari throws a threatening glance as Ino just shrugs,” who do you expect me to tell anyways, Sakura? No thanks. Shikamaru and Choji are deaf ears regardless unless it’s about Shogi or food. It’s our little secret… for now.”

“So a more pressing matter… who wants to walk naked inside to grab more towels?” I giggle out, breaking the tense air Temari is giving off. Ino rises, letting the shifting water lap against her before she turns to us,” you two worry about covering your bodies but don’t bat an eye while making absolute fools of yourselves in the middle of the village… I just don’t get it.”

As she saunters inside, stark naked and hiding nothing, I turn to Temari and smile mischievously,” one last kiss before we part ways?”

She pecks my lips quickly, smiling back,” one for now, one for when I wake up in the morning next to you.”

Fighting for love was one thing, but a love for fighting is what drove us crazy for each other, and I loved the thought of fighting with her for years to come… playfully of course.

💕Every once in a while, Temari tries to lean into the soft girl, traditionally femme aesthetic... and she just can’t do it

💕To be honest, you don’t really know why she even tries. She’s too hardheaded, too opinionated, too proactive to play a gentle, non-kunoichi. Temari always snaps and it’s always glorious

💕There is, of course, nothing wrong with being a gentle, traditionally feminine, civilian, it’s just not Temari. And when you’re out on a date and she sees the district patrol goofing off on the job, you know it’s time to take a seat because she’s about to chew someone out into next week

💕One of her biggest flaws is that she has no semblance of a work life balance which is a byproduct of another of Temari’s flaws: she feels the need to constantly prove herself

💕She feels like if she doesn’t take herself seriously, no one else will take her seriously (and her social skills have been stunted as a result)

💕As the oldest child (especially oldest and only daughter) of three siblings with absent parents in a warrior society that values military power, yeah, she’s doing the most and taking everything with the upmost seriousness

💕Her seriousness and stoicism is something that she picked up to survive in her field and it’s not something that is to be burrowed through or taken down

💕Temari deserves and absolutely needs a partner who holds up and appreciates her accomplishments and validates her

💕Perfect match for anyone who is passive and indecisive because Temari has the personality of a natural leader. And as a natural leader, she’s taking charge. 

💕Temari isn’t pausing her ambitions for anyone, so the best dynamic is someone who leans into her nature to support her

I have never thought of that before, omg. I hope to GODS this post doesn't sound insentive at all. If it is, please let me know so I can educate myself and take it down/mend it.

I think there are radios in the shinobi world, which offer some music variety. Most shinobi don't really have time to learn any instruments or anything like that. I'd say that traditional Konoha music often involves the koto, a shakuhachi flute and other traditionally Japanese instruments.

I'm currently writing a fic where I incorporate my headcanon that the Uchiha clan owns a crustry dusty piano which hasn't been tuned or played in ages, but legends say Madara Uchiha himself has played that piano.

I think Suna has the richest and oldest culture on the entire continent, and most music probably originates from there. Wind instruments are rather popular, one of them being the ney flute, the arghul, Another instrument that can sometimes be heard is the Duduk. When it comes to string instruments, it would be a sin not to mention the oud, and another one being a special type of lyre, also known as a simsimiyyaa The voice is also often used in Suna music, being regarded as an instrument itself.

Nowadays, many soap operas and dramas are written/produced in the land of wind, adding a very dramatic, emotional sound to it as well. Sunagakure radios are often filled with songs like these. And I think while Kankuro enjoys them, Temari has grown tired of them after hearing them way too often.
