Evvvren!! I love this question. I'm sorry it's taken me a while to answer, I've been thinking about it.

I guess we know from the Wiki that she was a photographer? And I recall from the letter scene that there were artsy coffee table books stacked up, I think there was one on Alvaro Siza, he does very modern, boxy buildings (kind of like John Wick's house) -- I have come to headcanon now that it was Helen who was into that modern aesthetic. (I can't shake the feeling that it doesn't really suit John Wick. He likes classic muscle cars and Victorian children's books. Left to his own devices, I think he probably likes a bit more ornamentation, but it's easy to imagine him going along with anything Helen wanted when they were starting their married life together. 😭)

Something that slays me about Helen is that she seems kind of basic? And I don't mean that in a bad way! It's a adorable. The whole daisy fixation is just ridiculously cute, it's such a happy hippy flower child choice. And like, she's obviously SMOKING hot, yet in that dinner scene with John she's wearing that almost dowdy soft pink shirt with the long-short sleeves.

It makes me think that she was so cool and comfortable with herself she didn't care. Zero fucks given. Like that woman must have had Personality. I think she was just a really bright light. Full of love. Strong. And she TEASED John Wick like no one else ever had. You can totally see it in the car scene at the beach, when they're holding hands over the roof of the car. And she's all "What are you doing, John?" in That Tone, LOL, I think she was good at getting John out of his shell and not taking things so seriously. I'm sure she knew he'd Seen Some Shit™ and made it her mission to help him let it go and live a happy life in his retirement.

I realize you asked about pre-marriage Helen. I'm guessing she was in the art scene in some capacity. I think she was cool, and not overly pretentious like so many artists are (can you tell I went to art school? LOL I can't staaaand that shit). I think she liked what she liked and didn't apologize for it, whether it was hippy dippy daisies, or an ex-mafia hitman named John Wick. 🌼🌼🌼

"Snuggle Buddies"

You woke up, feeling something incredibly warm on your chest and back. You tried to look around, but something heavy weighed you down. You looked down to the best of your ability. All you saw was black hair.

Black hair? Wait...Cesar is laying on you. You wanted to question why, but you were instantly reminded of last night.

It was pretty late at night, around 12am. You, Mark, and Cesar have been playing video games ever since 9 pm. Why though? Well, it was senior prom year for the three of you. So Cesar took you and Mark out to prom as a group.

It was fun though, the three of you danced, joked around, and overall had a good time at the prom. Once prom ended, Mark really wanted to go home and spend time together to celebrate the last day of school.

So, you ordered pizza, Mark connected his NES/SNES, and Cesar ran to the store to grab paper plates ( in his suit, which you and Mark laughed at) as Mark didn't have any and really didn't wanna do dishes.

So there's the three of you now. You on the couch, Cesar on the ground and sitting between your legs, and Mark sitting next to Cesar and not between your legs.

It was arguably better than the prom night. The three of you were in much more comforting and airy clothing, you all ate good trash food, and it was fun playing video games over trying to dance and make fools of yourselves.

Once it was v e r y clear the three of you should sleep, Mark suggested you all just stay for the night and he'd treat the two of you in the morning. You and Cesar just shrugged your shoulders and said sure.

Cesar demanded a fort, though you and Mark just wanted to sleep. So, Cesar wanted the next best thing. He didn't ask though, he acted. He flopped onto you and you crashed into Mark.

Yea he almost got hit for that one. After you and Mark recovered from your brief injury, you all tried again, just less like Cesar's way. Mark pulled you by your waist on top of him, Cesar taking his own cue and laid on you.

It was all warmth. You asked yourself why you didn't do this with the boys more often, but was just glad you all were doin this now than never. Cesar fell asleep first, him making a quiet snore and drooling a bit on your shirt. Thank God it was a shirt and not straight skin.

Mark fell asleep second. His chin rested on your head while the rest of his body was just laid on by you and Cesar. Not that he minded, he loved it actually. It was his two favorite people after all and his closest friends.

Which left you. You were a little uncomfortable, but it wasn't anything really unbearable. You had your arms around Cesar while his very soft and now unkempt hair all in your face. It did smell good though, like mint.

You closed your eyes shortly after Mark, passing out in the warmth of Mark and Cesar.

Your dummies who are passed out on and behind you. And they were all yours. You closed your eyes, letting out a quiet laugh at your own statement.
