Hello! When I found your account and saw you do this kind of stuff, I got super excited!! I hope it's okay that I request more than one thing in one ask, but don't stress and do it whenever you have time!
Requesting for the fandoms Harry Potter, Avatar (The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra), The Arrow, The Umbrella Academy, Outer Banks, Percy Jackson, Star Wars, and MCU.
I'd very much appreciate a romantic, and perhaps a platonic, match-up with any character from all fandoms listed above (if that's alright and not too much work)!
I'd also like a sorting for which bending I'd bend in Avatar (both series work), what my superpower would be in Umbrella Academy, if I'd be a pouge or kook in Outer Banks (just watched part one of season four 😍), which cabin I belong in Percy Jackson, what my Hogwarts House in Harry Potter would be, and if I'd be a Jedi or Sith in Star Wars as well as Lightsaber color.
So, my name is Rebecca, I'm a 19-year-old female, and I go by she/they pronouns. I've been going on and off with my sexuality, so now I just identify as queer (I was panromantic / panromantic sapphic / panromantic before... just can't decide my label)— so I have no gender preference when it comes to characters match-up.
I'm a February Aquarius, INFJ/ENFJ (it changes) and 3w2 (I think?). I'm an ambivert leaning more into introverted, but I want to become more extroverted. I'm just too tired / too shy to. According to the online sorting hat, I am a Hufflepuff but also Ravenclaw and maybe Gryffindor. I'm also drawn to the Goddess Aphrodite, so I say I belong to Cabin 1O when I actually have no clue, but I don't want these two points to influence your thoughts in any way!
People say I'm kind, caring, funny, loving, smart (that's on 50/50), cheerful, understanding, ambitious/determined, childish, polite, helper, perfectionist, indecisive, stubborn, shy at first encounter, etc. I am a good mix of "sirius" (sorry, I had to) and "childish".
I start a lot of projects but have difficulty finishing most of them, which is due to my ADHD. I get so many good ideas that I want to do, but never really complete them (I procrastinate on/push them) as soon as I start them.
I do aim to become ✨️ the it girl ✨️.
I'm more of a dog person rather than a cat person. Though I love cats, I own seven Chihuahuas. One of my friends says I have golden retrieved energy, and another sends me Instagram reels about clumsy orange cats, because that's me too.
(Also, my main Patronus I get on The Wizarding World is a Tonkenise cat.)
What animal is the perfect mix of a dog and a cat? Me. 🙋🏼‍♀️
Physically, I'm a 159cm / 5'2, kind of chubby girl with breast-length-ish straight blonde hair and green eyes (they're actually a mix of green, blue, gray, and brown).
My favorite color is pink, and people know me as "The Pink Lady". I usually dress in that color, however, now that I have started "university" (yrkeshögskola in Swedish— my native language), I've begun wearing other colors (I usually color-match, I can't wear too many colors or colors that don't blend together) just to seem a bit more "adult-y" since I am the second youngest in my class (there's another 19-yeard-old, I'm just a few months older than her).
I study TV-productionspecialist in "university," but I don't know what I want to do for work when I graduate "university"...
I do, however, aim to become an influencer as a side hobby and start my own business.
I'm in MANY fandoms, and I can't decide which ones I should "obsess" over most of the time. I also have a long list of crushes because yes.
---------------------------------------------
I think that's about it?
Again, absolutely no stress as I completely understand that I've asked for too much!

Hi, cariño, I’m so sorry, but that’s a tad too much and it’s kidna harder to work with so I ain’t doing it and I’m so sorry for that

If you love THE ACOLYTE you should read RONIN A VISIONS NOVEL by Emma Mieko Candon
The Jedi are the most loyal servants of the Empire.
You've probably seen a lot of stuff around the Acolyte about getting into the High Republic if you want more of the same. And while the High Republic is amazing and you should read it, beyond the in-universe worldbuilding connects and that they're both stories with a lot of Jedi, they're honestly not that similar when it comes to tone and theme. If what you like the most is the unique perspective The Acolyte is bringing to the franchise, you can find more of that in Ronin.
Ronin is an expansion of the season 1 Visions short The Duel. It proposes a much more interesting origin of the Sith than what is in Legends, where you have Jedi with the samurai influence turned up to max and they are the enforcers of a corrupt state and exploiters of the peasantry. There is no Light or Dark Side. And the Sith rise up against the exploitation of non-noble force sensitive Jedi, but in the end they're fighting for their own freedom including at the expense of others. Whether you identify as pro Jedi or not, seeing what the Jedi would be like if they were actually what their worst critics- both in and out of universe- claim is a great way to expand your perspective. It draws even more on jidaigeki and Japanese mythology in general. The writing style is very unique, invoking barely localized Japanese literature.
Two decades ago, Jedi clans clashed in service to feuding lords. Sickened by this endless cycle, a sect of Jedi rebelled, seeking to control their own destiny and claim power in service of no master. They called themselves Sith.    The Sith rebellion failed, succumbing to infighting and betrayal, and the once rival lords unified to create an Empire . . . but even an Empire at peace is not free from violence.    Far on the edge of the Outer Rim, one former Sith wanders, accompanied only by a faithful droid and the ghost of a less civilized age. He carries a lightsaber, but claims lineage to no Jedi clan, and pledges allegiance to no lord. Little is known about him, including his name, for he never speaks of his past, nor his regrets. His history is as guarded as the red blade of destruction he carries sheathed at his side.   As the galaxy’s perpetual cycle of violence continues to interrupt his self-imposed exile, and he is forced to duel an enigmatic bandit claiming the title of Sith, it becomes clear that no amount of wandering will ever let him outpace the specters of his former life.
As for the similarities to the Acolyte, you got a darker tone, mystery, learning the backstory of characters as you go, a new way of seeing the Force, and witch(es).
It's also extremely queer. The main character in pansexual. One member of the main cast, the mysterious Traveler, is non-binary. There's also a sapphic romantic subplot.
It follows the Ronin right after the events of the Duel, where he is forced to join the Traveler, Chie- a bounty hunter who hunts Jedi while believing in her own Force religion, and Ekiya- a member of a people who the Sith displaced and forced to fight for them, now trying to regain her people's homeland. You also get to learn what the Sith Bandit's deal is.
It is in its own continuity (although it has also had some one-shot comics also telling original stories), although in my personal version of Star Wars it is a mythohistory about the ancient history of the Jedi and Sith. This means I don't have to stress out about the specifies of technology and magic, but can use the general gist to create my own narrative in my head.

Sith Acolytes (Chapter 1)
Fair warning this is loosely based on Swtor for about the first four chapters then it's sapphic nonsense and whatnot. There's some drama, angst, and violence. But mostly just goobers.
This is done in collaboration with @the-churroguy who writes for Nox and most of the cannon characters.
Tumblr media
The air was hot and dry as the students made their way off of the transport. They had arrived on Korriban. Many of them tried to shield themselves from the sun, but it was no use as the waves of heat beat down upon them. There was a man waiting at the other end of the platform with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face that told them that he’d rather be ANYWHERE but here.
“Line up. All of you.” He barked as the rest of the acolytes fell in.
Among them, one in particular stood out. She was smaller, almost tiny. Definitely not one of the well off acolytes, but not quite a slave. She seemed more wide eyed and curious than broken or fearful. Just a few hours before she had been taken from her home, and now she found herself here. On an interestingly hot planet, surrounded by a great many people she did not know. The girl found herself looking at the man curiously as she took her place, she wasn't exactly sure how she'd managed to get here. But she was here none the less.
“Listen up, slaves.” The overseer spat, “You are here purely to fill numbers, and because you all just barely scraped enough power and stability to qualify to train as acolytes. I don’t expect ANY of you to survive, but I’m required to tell you WHY you are here.” He paced back and forth, “Lord Zash is looking for a new apprentice, and she had chosen your lot to select from, however…” a male Sith in black and purple robes walked between them all, shoving several of the other candidates aside, “This… is what a REAL Sith looks like. This is Fan. And he will surpass and destroy each of you on his way to becoming Lord Zash’s apprentice. You have your first assignments already, now go.”
The girl looked the man over, this Fan, he wasn't much to look at. But she wasn't one to care for competition. Instead she decided to focus on what she could learn from all of this, until her inevitable demise.
As she was looking at him, he sneered and stepped up to her, “Something to say, slave? Beg and maybe I won’t kill you.” He reached out and grabbed her with the force, holding her in place. She didn't resist, if anything she just seemed to stare at him curiously. It frustrated him how she didn't cower. Just stared at him with those odd eyes.
“Hey!” A gruff female voice called out. Fan looked over and was beamed in the head with a stone, causing a small gash from which a trickle of blood flowed.
The overseer sneered and looked out to see who it was, “Of course, I noticed we were missing one more.”
The girl, who was staring daggers at Fan, spat as she walked up to him, “You know the rules, basket case, no open killing of apprentices, the dark council forbids it… save it for the tombs.”
“Oh?” Fan reached for his blade, “Hoping no one will be around to witness as I cut you down?” He smiled wickedly.
“No. I just like places where no one can hear you scream…” she returned the grin, “Now get lost.” She cocked her hips out and folded her arms under her chest. Her brown eyes cut through him to the core as she looked like she was ready to end him in an instant.
The overseer finally stepped in between the two, “Fan! You have your task, head to the library and begin.” He watched as the pure blood sneered and turned to leave them, “As for you, slave… I should have you executed right here for sedition, attacking a superior in plain daylight, all to save this… trash.”
“I didn’t do it for the girl, I did it as a warning…” she shot back.
“For Fan? Please, he’s more than capable of…”
“For YOU, di’kut.” She cut him off, “Spoil your little pet too much, and he’ll gorge himself, making him a fatter target to kill.”
The smaller girl turned her attention to the other, still quiet. But her eyes were curious and observant.
“Why you impudent little-“ he cut himself off and sighed, “Well, I WAS going to let you know what your task was, but since you were late to the briefing, I suppose you’ll just have to find that out for yourself.” He smirked, “Do not enter the academy halls until you complete your task, slave. Begone.” He waved her off before turning and leaving.
The small one could actively see a vein twitching in the other girls temple as she clenched her fists, “Honestly, and they wonder why no one likes the Sith.” She looked down to her and raised an eyebrow, “And you, why didn’t you fight back?”
She just shrugged,"Who says I didn't."
“Standing there slack-jawed isn’t what I’d call fighting back.” She raised an eyebrow.
"I wasn't slack jawed?" She tilted her head in an oddly adorable state of confusion.
“Could have fooled me.” She huffed and crossed her arms, “You got a name to go with that crazy hair and face?”
"Aelia." She smiled,"You?"
She paused for a moment and eyed her up and down before shaking her head, “Nox.”
"Nice to meet you." Aelia giggled, her eyes brightening with her smile. They were odd, compared to Nox's soft brown eyes, Aelia's were a soft purple on her left, and pale green on her right.
“Yeah, sure. Real pleasure.” Nox rolled her eyes and looked around. “Well, fierfek… now where the hells am I supposed to go?”
"I know," Aelia shrugged still looking up at her,"Do you want to go together?"
“Suppose I don’t have much of a choice, now do I?” She pinched her brow, “Come on then, floss. Let’s get a move on.”
"Floss?" She tilted her head confused by the name.
“You know, floss. Like candy floss?” Nox looked back to her, “Your flamboyant hair dye choice.”
"Hair dye?" She looked even more confused,"I don't dye my hair?"
Nox rolled her eyes, “Sure. That’s all natural. Pink and blue blend, very common occurrence in nature.”
"Actually it's likely due to a genetic mutation, a mixture of ginger and an iron imbalance that…" She continued to explain a rather complicated chemical process that may have lead to her hair becoming the odd candy pink and blue half tone naturally.
Most of it was very boring to Nox as she simply continued to nod and add the occasional ‘uh-huh’ while they walked down and into the Valley of The Dark Lords. The sand was a deep red that seemed to go on forever. Ancient tombs and mosoleums dotted the landscape, the final resting places of many Sith legends. Nox narrowed her eyes as she looked around.
As they walked under one of the archways, Nox suddenly grabbed Aelia and pulled her flush against her as she pressed herself against the wall. Aelia’s back was against Nox’s front as she felt a decent squish on her shoulder blades. Nox’ hand slammed over Aelia’s mouth while softly whispering a “Shhh” into the girls ear. Her other arm wrapped around Aelia’s front and held her tight as they waited for something.
Aelia went silent and did her best to follow where Nox was looking without moving. She noticed their close proximity, but didn't at all seem shocked or bothered by it.
As they hid, a rather disturbing creature passed by them, seemingly hunting for something. It was like a worm with a mouth full of teeth, but it walked upright on legs and had two rather large scythe shaped appendages, no doubt used to grab prey.
The girls blinked a few times and watched it curiously.
It seemed to stop for a moment as another acolyte from their group, a young girl, was digging for something. It paused for a moment before pouncing on her. The girl shrieked in pain, but went silent after a bloody gurgle as the slug began to rip her apart and devour her.
“K’lor’slugs.” Nox whispered, “Brutal hunters, they move silently and eviscerate their prey. We need to move now; those things move in packs.” Aelia nodded quietly and gave her a thumbs up. Nox removed her hand from over the girls mouth and quietly moved along the trail past the slug. Their path seemed to continue until their was a split, leading to multiple tombs, “Okay, so what exactly is the mission?”
"Something about proving ourselves," she shrugged,"I wasn't exactly briefed…. honestly I'm not even sure why I'm here."
“Awesome.” She groaned and looked around. Nox raised an eyebrow as she spotted a small group of acolytes standing around and talking. “Let’s try asking them.”
"Following your lead." She shrugged.
Nox walked up to them as they all looked to her.
The first, a female with soft features went a bit wideyed, “Hey, you’re with our group, right? The one they picked up from Concordia?”
“Yeah.” Nox nodded, “You guys get pulled from your homes too?”
“Sort of.” The second, a larger male with short brown hair and a thick beard spoke, “We’re slaves, but I guess we got enough of an affinity that we’re trainable?”
“Don’t buy into that bantha spit, we’re only here to be targets for that one fella with the red skin.” The third, another male, this one on the slim side with long black hair, retorted. “Only way off of this rock is in a body bag.”
“What about you?” The girl motioned to Aelia, “You look like someone from the core worlds… how’d you end up here on Korriban?”
"I was herding nerfs in the back woods when I got bagged and dragged here." She said far too casually for the others to believe her.
“Seriously? Can you even use the force?” One of the boys asked.
She just shrugged again,"Probably not."
Aelia could actively see Nox’ eyebrow twitch a little, “Okay… so what does this overseer even want from us?”
“Harkon? We’re supposed to go and seek advice from an elder Sith named Lord Spindrall.” The girl commented.
Aelia took mental note of the names. Though she was still pretty lost on what exactly was going on, or why she was there. But she figured at least she could help Nox.
“Right. Spindrall… well, do you want to try to face him together? Or fight him alone?” Nox asked.
“Together? Like a team?” One of the males scoffed, “You really don’t know how the Sith work around here, do you?”
“We can either try to fight him together, win enough credit to get ourselves off of this rock, or fight him alone like ‘proper Sith’ and get killed.”
"Proper sith?" Aelia tilted her head looking up at her questioningly.
“I’ll explain later. Let’s just get this done.” Nox looked around. “You all with me or not?”
"Sure." Aelia smiled without hesitation.
The other three looked around and sighed, “Okay, yeah, let’s do this.”
They all were soon making their way towards the tomb, treading carefully as they went.
Aelia spent the walk observing them all, and keeping closer to Nox than the others. She noticed the girl seemed to walk closer to the taller man, while the thinner one seemed to favor his left leg.
Nox kept an eye out and let the others take the lead. She caught Aelia looking at the others almost like a predator observing it's prey. Nox raised an eyebrow before looking around the tomb, after a minute, she grabbed Aelia softly by the shoulder as she slowed her walk. Aelia slowed her pace without resistance and looked up at her, her eyes back to wide and curious again.
“In chess, pawns move first.” She whispered and watched as they came up to their first intersection in the tunnels. Aelia nodded and looked back at the others.
As they entered the room, the scrawny male was assaulted by two acolytes who looked like they had been down here for days. They killed him with relative ease before attempting to go after the girl.
Nox knelt down and grabbed a handful of sand, “Oya!” She called out and got one of the boys attention. She then flung the sand at them and hit them in the eye forcing them to drop the metal pipe they were holding. “Aelia! The rod!” She called out before jumping the next one.
She ran over and slipped down grabbing the rod before she whirled around and slammed the one closest to her in the jaw with a surprising force.
Nox seemed a bit surprised at her movement, but wasted little time in moving to intercept their other attacker. She brought her knee up into his gut and slammed both of her fists into the back of his head as he doubled over. She grabbed the weapon from his hand and drove it, full force, into the back of his neck, piercing his throat and killing him.
Aelia stepped back and looked at the two downed attackers,"Well….that was unpleasant."
“Yeah.” Nox retorted and passed by her, “It’s the fucking Sith, what were you expecting?”
She just shrugged,"Nothing."
“Look, I don’t know how much you know about these Sith…” Nox paused.
"Nothing." Aelia stated rather casually as she looked up at her.
“Well here’s all you need to know. They’re psychopaths, they seek to rule the galaxy and they’ll kill anyone who gets in their way.” Nox spat.
"Ah….how do they hold power then?" She tilted her head curiously
“They’re VERY good at killing people.” Nox sighed.
"Ah. Noted." She nodded understandingly.
“Yeah, now come on.” Nox looked to the other two, “Hey, you coming with us or what?”
The others jolted themselves out of their stupor and looked to them. The girl called out first, “Y-yeah… sorry, I-“
Nox cut her off, “It happens. Just stay closer to us this time, okay?”
Aelia hummed softly as she cleaned off the rod in her hands and walked along side Nox.
Nox looked over to her and raised an eyebrow, “You’re awfully chipper for someone who just committed murder in a tomb.”
"Am I?" She tiled her head curiously,"Is that odd?"
“Just a bit.” Nox sighed, “You seriously don’t know anything about the Sith or the force?”
"Nope." She shook her head,"I never left my farm…"
“Really? No one else on that farm taught you?” She asked again.
"There was no one else." She shook her head.
“Wait. You were all alone for that long?” Nox sounded surprised.
"Yeah." She nodded like it was completely normal.
Nox shook her head and sighed, “I’m beginning to put a few pieces together about you.”
As they walked, they entered the main chamber, where an elderly man with soft brown hair and dark circled eyes watched the four of them enter, “Ah, finally, the last of you approach. The stragglers are always my favorite.”
Aelia looked at him curiously.
Nox moved a bit closer and tightened her grip around the rod in her hands, “Why’s that, I wonder?”
“Because.” He stood to his feet, “Your kind is always either killed immediately, or proven to be resourceful.”
Aelia glanced at Nox and subtly stepped a little closer to her, her own rod held tight enough, but she wasn't exactly looking like a threat.
“So what’s this great test of yours?” Nox narrowed her gaze a bit.
Several more acolytes, most of them seemed as though they had been down here for months, emerged from the shadows and looked to the group.
“Remember the first and only reality of the Sith. Only the STRONG may advance. The weak, shall perish.”
"That sounds rather wasteful," Aelia mumbled looking at them curiously.
“How so, Aelia?” Spindrall asked, looking a bit intrigued by her statement.
"Raw power is only so much, and everyone can find use in a proper society." She shrugged, that predatory glint returning to her eyes as she looked up at him,"killing the weak is just depriving yourself of resources, from labor, to lab rats. Everyone can be useful." Spindrall seemed to smile at that comment, while Nox looked a bit put off. Aelia noticed Nox's look and frowned,"Did I say something odd?"
“Nothing.” She shook her head, “Keep him talking.”
She nodded and turned back to the old man,"what is your plan here exactly? Pit all of us against each other in some flawed ideal that only one can leave?" She shrugged and waved at him dismissively,"No wonder your empire has opposition. It's a slowly dying system. I give it another four or five years before it's collapsed at the rate I've seen so far." From what Nox had learned about her, she could gather that Aelia was making wide blanket claims to just needle the siths ego and keep his attention on her. She was likely just talking out of her ass.
Nox watched the conversation unfold and slowly began pacing, eyeing the other acolytes, noting which of them would be easy targets, and which ones would put up more of a fight.
“Indeed, you are correct, little one.” Spindrall nodded. “Our way of life is crumbling, the infighting of the Sith will spell doom for us, which is why I bring you all here now. One of you, today, I sense is DESTINED to rise and change the balance of power, not just for the Sith empire, but the whole galaxy.”
Aelia kept her focus on him,"But you plan to continue the same practice to find them?" She shook her head,"That sounds like a terrible plan. Clearly the method isn't working so change the experiment. Find a more efficient and effective method instead of continuing the insanity."
“We will see, little Sith, we will see.” He sat down and motioned for the acolytes to attack.
Aelia looked to Nox, Nox nodded and readied her weapon as the others began to move towards them.
As she stepped back towards Nox Aelia had her own rod ready, her eyes returned to that sharp look again.
The first group approached them as they seemed to push past the other two that they had been traveling with, moving straight for Aelia. Nox intercepted the first acolyte and struck them down with a single blow to the temple.
As the other closed in, Aelia struck him in the stomach, her rod piercing him, as she pulled it out to go for another strike blood trailed behind it, pooling at his feet.
The rest of the acolytes joined in, slowly pushing them in together, Nox fought them off as best as she could, but they were slowly becoming overwhelmed. Aelia did her best to cover her, but there were too many of them. Nox began to panic a bit as adrenaline and instinct kicked in. She grabbed her head and cried out in pain as electricity shot from all directions, striking the acolytes. Aelia barely managed to dodge out of the way of one bolt as she looked at Nox shocked, but a glint of curiosity sparking in her eyes.
Nox’ eyes seemed a bit panicked, “No… not again…” she whispered. Her eyes were wide and dilated.
Spindrall applauded slowly as he began descending the stairs towards them, “Well done… young acolyte, I knew I would not be disappointed.”
Aelia gave Nox a little smile and placed a hand on her shoulder,"It's okay." Then, without hesitation she placed herself between Nox and Spindrall.
“Dear child…” Spindrall chuckled while reaching out with the force and hoisting Aelia up, “I’m not here for you.” He tossed her to the side with ease as he approached Nox.
She tumbled a few feet away and seemed to go quiet as he was focused on Nox.
Nox took a step back, “What… what do you want from me?”
“To watch you thrive. To witness as you bring an end to the Sith, once and for all…” he grinned, “Cull the order in dark fire, and from the ashes, a newer and better empire will emerge.”
Nox could see Aelia slowly getting back up, but she was remaining eerie quiet.
She eyed the girl with an almost worried look, “Cull the entire Sith empire? Sure.” She scoffed, “Waltz into the emperor’s throne room and wallop his head?”
She was standing now, but her eyes were shadowed by her hair. The low light in the tomb making her look almost eery.
Spindrall shook his head, “Patience, my young friend. Patience.” He went over to a ceremonial looking box and opened it, pulling out a decent sized training saber, “Here, for your efforts. Return to your handler, let them know you have my blessing. I look forward to hearing from you again, young Sith.” He bowed.
Aelia was now looking at him with more than a little murder in her eyes, but before she did anything, she glanced at Nox. The look she gave her said she was following her lead. Nox seemed lost in her own world at the moment as Spindrall spoke. The realization hit her and Aelia snapped back to her usual air. Whatever shift Spindrall had pushed in her ended as she realized Nox was the one needing help. She shook her head and went over to Nox,"Oi. Snap out of it."
Nox looked up to Aelia, “Huh? What?”
She knelt down and put a hand on her shoulder,"Look you got the thing. Let's get out of here."
“Yeah. Sure.” Nox nodded and stood to her feet. The two left the tomb together and made their way to the sith academy.
Aelia kept glancing at her, the sharp look replaced by genuine concern.
Nox looked over to her and stepped away, “Okay, what’s with you?”
She looked confused,"What?"
“You swap between freaky pyschopath and total air head. Which is it?” Nox raised her voice a bit.
That made her blink,"…. I do?" She looked genuinely confused, she hadn't even realized she'd been doing anything.
“Yes.” Nox sighed, “Whenever the idea of fighting comes up, you get this look.”
"I was not aware of this." She blinked completely befuddled.
“Okay.” Nox nodded, “That’s fine, just… try to be calm here, okay? One look like that around a Sith Lord is going to get us both killed.”
"I'll try to stop it." She nodded looking genuinely concerned.
“Look.” Nox paused and grabbed her by the shoulders, “If you honestly can’t control, then let’s just be on the safe side and don’t make any eye contact with anyone carrying a lightsaber, deal?”
"A what?" She tilted her head curiously.
“Seriously? You don’t even know what a lightsaber is?” Nox asked, a bit frustrated.
She shook her head,"I don't know much outside of my farm…. I've had a lot of time to read the books that were left in the house. But they're mostly about machines and biochemistry."
“Have you lived in that farm all of your life?” Nox asked.
"I don't know." She shook her head and looked at her feet.
Nox sighed irritatedly, “Just… it’s a metal cylinder, usually worn on the hip. If you see someone in fancy robes or armor, and they have one on their belt, don’t provoke them.”
"will do." She nodded.
As they entered the academy, the two were surprised by how clean it was. Guards in solid red armor stood at either side of them at full attention as students and teachers alike passed through the halls. Nox let her inhibitions go for a moment as she looked around the grandiose walkways. Aelia giggled softly as she watched Nox, she was also looking around curiously, but she was enjoying seeing her companion let down a small wall.
Nox looked back over and sneered, “The hell are you laughing at?”
"I'm not laughing at anything, it's just nice seeing a different side of you." She smiled genuinely.
“A bit ironic coming from you, but sure, I’ll play along. What different side are you referring to?”
"Being wide eyed and curious." She shrugged
“Wide-eyed?” She blushed just a bit, “You’re seeing things. The desert is messing with your head.”
"Sure." She giggled and poked her cheek playfully,"And you're blushing."
She didn’t say anything else as they reported back to Harkon with the rest of the class.
“Ah, the last of you worthless slaves have made it, I’ll presume the rest died miserably then. I’m surprised you were able to make it out unscathed.”
“I’m full of surprises, Harkon.” Nox snapped back. Aelia just offered a shrug.
“Well, while you were gone, you missed Fan’s triumphant return. This is a true Sith. He will annihilate you all.” Harkon barked.
Aelia resisted the overwhelming urge to eye roll.
Harkon looked to the room and noticed a young red head off by herself, trying her best to avoid attention. He smiled wickedly and pointed to her, “Fan, kill Koran.”
“Gladly.” The sith raised his hands as lightning shot from his fingertips.
The girl shrieked in pain for several seconds before she fell dead to the floor.
Nox grit her teeth and clenched her fists as she resisted the urge to drive her training blade through Fan’s throat then and there.
Aelia just watched confused, that kill made no sense to her.
As they both watched, Spindrall’s message repeated in their minds, ‘One who will take this system of corruption, and burn it down, allowing a stronger and purer empire to rise.”
Nox caught Aelia looking at her again, this time a little uneasy.
Nox shook her head softly and held her hand out at her side, motioning for Aelia to hold her thought until they were alone again.
She nodded and said nothing.
“You all have your assignments, except for the late-comers that is.” He sneered at Nox and Aelia, “You are dismissed.”
Nox waited for the rest to leave before stepping up. “Got Spindrall’s seal of approval. For all the good it’s worth.” She showed Harkon the blade, “He’s more of a crazy old man if you ask me.”
Aelia stayed close to her, but back a few steps. Keeping her gaze low, but watchful for anyone who might try something.
“Spindrall’s nonsense about some Sith chosen one is utter bantha spit if you ask me, but he’s respected by Lord Zash, so he will command your respect as well. Now then, since you have a proper training weapon, I think it’s time we put it to good use.” He narrowed his eyes, “In the tomb of Tulak Horde, there is an ancient obelisk that holds one of his holocrons, you will retrieve this holocron, and bring it to me, or you will die trying.”
Aelia made a mental note of what he was saying. Whatever it was they were searching for, it seemed important. Or at least dangerous enough to get a reaction from Nox.
Nox grit her teeth a bit and nodded, “Fine, we’ll be back before the sunrise, come on Aelia.” She perked up and nodded as she followed her.
Once they were alone, Nox cried out and slammed her fist hard into the stone wall, actually cracking it, as well as damaging her knuckles.
Aelia didn't say anything, she just took her hand and gently inspected the damage.
Nox yanked it away and shoved her hard, “Stop it!”
She looked at her curiously,"Stop what?"
“Helping. Caring. Being nice!” She shook her head, “You’re just going to get us killed!”
"So use me." She shrugged casually,"Use me as a shield if you need to. I'm not exactly contributing much, I don't even know why I'm here. And I'm not getting out of this alive anyway. So let me help you."
Nox seemed genuinely taken back, “What? No- no way, I can’t.”
"Why not?" She asked curiously,"You're the more proficient of the two of us. And if I am just going to get us killed, I'm the one who's not a real loss."
“No. It wouldn’t be right. You’re a person, you have a family-“
"No, I don't." She shook her head,"You do though."
“That still doesn’t mean that I want to.” Nox shook her head again.
"Then trust we can do this together." She shook her head,"Whatever you are, you aren't the same as them. Sure, you use ruthless by tactics, but you extend a hand where they don't."
Nox thought for a moment as she considered her words, “Okay… we can do this together.” She nodded and took a deep breath.
"Good." Aelia smiled and took her hand again. She again looked at the damage. Nox sighed and let her work. Aelia pulled a small bag from her belt and cleaned up her wound, trying not to use too much of her small med kit, she had a feeling they would need it. Nox winced a bit at the pain, but let Aelia work. Noticing how well she could actually bandage with so little. It was a little surprising, but being alone on a farm meant she'd probably had to learn a lot fast.
After a bit Aelia nodded and kissed the top of her hand gently,"There all better."
Nox blushed a bit at the kiss, “Why?”
Aelia looked confused,"That's what mother's do right? Kiss it and make it better? It was in one of my books….is that not…. normal?"
“It’s… you know what, it’s fine, just, you’re not my mom, you know that, right?” She smiled.
"Yeah, but I figured it would be a comfort in all of this." She nodded looking up at her.
“Not really.” She shook her head, “You don’t need to pretend to be anything else.”
"I'm not pretending?" She tilted her head confused
“I meant with the mom thing.” Nox chuckled, “Let’s start as classmates and we’ll see where it goes from there.”
"Oh…." She looked a little bit disappointed,"I kinda thought we had made it to being friends at this point actually…"
“Once we get passed the trials, then we can talk about friends, but as it stands, there’s a very high likelihood that one or both of us will die, and I’m not ready to watch a friend die in a tomb.”
"Then let's not die." She smiled.
“We’ll do our best.” Nox nodded.
"Agreed." She grinned, earning an eye roll from Nox.

Star Wars Sapphic Week (2023) Masterlist: (Updated 5/28/23)
Below, I've compiled all of the works I wrote for the 2023 event, with links to where they're posted on AO3, ratings, and summaries. All works are written for Sabedala! (Sabé/Padmé)
Tumblr media
Day 1: First Kiss is a Kiss Goodbye
A Soft Goodbye. Rated G. Pre-Attack of the Clones.
Before they parted ways for Coruscant and Tatooine, Padmé and Sabé stole one last moment together.
Day 2: Battle Couple
Rebel, Rebel. Rated G. Canon Divergent AU.
One day, Sabé thinks, they'll learn how to stop running into blaster fire.
Day 3: Hand Kisses/Only One Bed
Certain About You. Rated M. Modern AU.
They have the worst boss in the world, they really do. One who can't even manage to book them a room with two beds in it for their business trip. But perhaps that won't be necessary for Padmé and Sabé after all?
Day 4: Hand Holding & Casual Touches
Every Five Years. Rated G. Canon Divergent AU.
From the time she was fourteen, Sabé had dreamt of how their lives might turn out.
Day 5: Best Friends to Lovers
Still in progress. Coming soon!
Day 6: Hurt/Comfort
Yours. Rated T. Canon Divergent AU, Post-Revenge of the Sith.
The Republic remains while Padmé's world crashes, leaving her few options better than returning to Naboo at Sabé's suggestion.
Day 7: Alternate Universe
Blended. Rated G. Modern AU.
It had taken years, but their family finally felt perfectly blended. At least Padmé thought so with Sabé's arms around her waist, watching her kids play with their dad and her parents, and thinking of Sabé's brothers busy in the backyard.

Hi Sam!!! Congrats on 300 followers; it’s so deserved! Figured I would send myself in for a ship request cause I’m curious about what you would say. For Star Wars related things; my favorite planet is Naboo, I’ve just always been obsessed with it (and Padme was my favorite character as a kid.) my favorite of the movies is Empire Strikes Back, but Revenge of the Sith is a close second. For real life stuff; I’m an introverted extravert: I’m very shy and in my own shell but wish I could get out more. Love reading and playing video games, also love to cook in my free time. In partners, trust and loyalty are super important to me but I also love a good sense of humour
Iris!! Thank you so much for celebrating with me, it really means a lot. I hope February has been treating you well!
Sam's Pen and Sword 300 Follower Celebration (Closed)
Warnings: Slightly suggestive and ever-so-slight bits of horniness, because I can't resist. (Minors gtfo)

Okay my friend, I thought about for a good while, but eventually I couldn't shake the idea of you and Commander Cody as a couple. The two things you mentioned as being most important in a relationship and partner? Trust and loyalty. Cody also values both those things more than nearly anything. Not to mention his sense of humor, which is the oddest combination of blatant dad jokes and dry wit. I think what is perfect about Cody as a partner for you is his recognition of balance. He's the type of partner who is willing and able to encourage you to come out and try new things. To put yourself out there. To focus more on yourself and him rather than the improbable awkward social situations you'd find yourself in. But he'll also know that encouragement and pushing you out of your comfort zone are not the same thing. He'll be incredibly conscious not to push you too far, and soon becomes able to recognize when you're more in the mood for a night in rather than dinner at a restaurant followed by a bar. And he's the same way! There are days where he'd love to go to brunch with you! Says "yes please" to mimosas and (space) English muffins and fancy frittatas. And there are also days where he just wants to come home. Be in his own space. Maybe curl under a blanket with you as you two watch a holoseries (that inevitably devolves into making out bc who would resist Cody). I don't see Cody becoming a huge gamer, but I see him becoming invested in both the simplest, most classic (think Space Mario Kart) games and the ones with mindblowing worldbuilding (think Skyrim and Mass Effect). And though I'm not sure the two of you would have the same taste in books, you love the afternoons where Cody whisks you away to your favorite bookshop with a cafe next door, and the two of you can spend hours browsing around and he absolutely spoils you (Victory!AU where Bail Organa becomes Chancellor and the clones finally get citizenship and rights and pay as well as monetary compensation for three years of service and trauma; Palpatine died in a mysterious accident that Fox swears he has no knowledge of).
Your lips were puckered with consideration, staring down at the pair of books in your hands. In one — a soft, smutty sapphic romance, full of yearning and shitty jokes and soft flirting and bad decisions. In the other — a classic. A book you already had on your shelf three times over, each different editions with introductions or notes or illustrations or covers. You did not need another. ... But it was one of your favorites, so you did need another. It came with a special box and had one of those fancy ribbon bookmarks and gold foil-rimmed pages and you wanted it! "Struggling?" "Fuck off." Ahh, yes. Your love language. Affection sprinkled between the swear words and sarcasm. Cody chuckled, and you settled into his touch as he came behind you, seaming his chest to your back and snaking a hand around your waist. His palm settled flush to your middle, big and strong, with just enough pressure to make your stomach explode with flutters. He knew what he was doing too, asshole, your thoughts said as he kissed the back of your head, not quite chastely enough for public. "Need help deciding?" You hesitated, then grumbled, "yes." Cody chuckled once more, hand smoothing across your middle as he stepped to be beside you. He never let go of you, squeezing your waist lightly. "Tell me about that one." You told him about the new book, the sapphic romance. Describing it to him and how it sounded really soft and appealing. Cody hummed lightly at the appropriate moments, hand occasionally smoothing down from your waist to your hip, to squeeze idly, then stroke back up again. You tried your best not to squirm. This long into your relationship, you reasoned that you shouldn't still be reacting to Cody's touch like a horny teenager or repressed noble lord. But it was Cody. And you simply could not get enough of him. And he definitely knew what he was doing. You managed to finish telling him about the book, and he would've looked thoughtful if not for the casual, flippant humor in his eyes. "Get both." "Cody!" He smiled a little, amused. You always reacted that way. "Fine. You buy one, I'll buy the other, and you can pretend to be surprised when I present it to you after dinner tonight." Your lip twitched. How many times had he pulled that now? You'd lost count. But regardless, you never failed to agree to it. Because you knew how much Cody loved to spoil you. Now that he had the means to do so, of course. Cody was just unfailingly generous and loved to take care of you. And it never failed to warm you inside. So that night found the both of you home, both of your new books tucked onto the shelf in the bedroom along with his own picks. None of them got read that night, the both of you busy with each other instead.

Honourable Mentions:
Kore. She/Her. Twi’lek. Lesbian. Meetra’s crewmate at one point during her Exile. Kore has a giant crush on Meetra, but it isn’t reciprocated.
Lunear. He/They. Human. Revanchist. Lunear was Revan in my first KOTOR play, but didn’t fit at all with how I charactised Revan, so I repurposed him. A very gullible, easily manipulated guy who just wants to do the right thing.
Hypna. She/Her. Sith Pureblood. Cynna’s twin. She controlled a small colony in Wild Space, before being killed by Bastila. This caused more issues than one would think.
Cynna. She/Her. Sith Pureblood. Hypna’s twin. While Hypna was alive, Cynna hated her and wanted to prove that she was the better. After Hypna died, she dedicated herself to tracking down and taking revenge against her killed. It, uh... doesn’t go according to plan.
Kae. She/Her. Sith Pureblood. Transfem. A child who is very powerful in the Force, drawing the attention of several big players in the galaxy.
Vanar. He/Him. Bastila and Revan’s son. Yes I know he’s canon but I dislike canon so I’m taking the concept and changing it. Likes making things explode.
Pan’sar. She/Her. Cathar. My original BH, but her personality didn’t fit with the class story at all, so I repurposed her and she is now Talio’s original mentor. No-nonsense, takes her job very seriously, but gives off big maternal energy.
Squirt. He/Him. Twi’lek. A kid who grew up with Talio on Nar Shaddaa. The only person in the galaxy that thinks Talio is smart. Also trained under Pan’sar.
Melom. He/Him. Human. Not my OC, but my friend’s Jedi Knight OC who I’ve got permission to include in my legacy. He’s a bit of an idiot and idolises Aisha. He understands maybe 30% of what happens around him.
Blight. He/Him. Twi’lek-Sith hybrid. Murrae’s half-brother.
Ceridwen. She/Her. Miraluka. Dark Side Consuar. Evil woman. Evil.

SWTOR - On Wasted Companions
Controversial opinion perhaps, but I think not using Talos Drelik, Felix Iresso, Ashara Zavros, and Akaavi in the main story of KOTFE/KOTET was a complete waste of some really excellent characters who had a lot to add. Talos, my dudes. Talos ,the archaeologist and archivist of the Sith who probably has a handle on Sith lore better than most of the Empire. Talos who is literally working on researching technology imbued with the Force - you know, like YOUR SHIP - when you meet him. And then never has a word to say about any of it - not Ossus, not the technology he and the Inquisitor researched on Rishi, nothing. Having Talos looking into the lore to try to find ways to defeat the Emperor, or looking at the Emperor's past actions at the Dark Temple and on Medriaas had so much potential. He could have actually helped Lana and the Commander figure out what to do with that holocron they pinched from Nathema, or taken them back to the vault to borrow some other formidable tech to defeat Valkorion. But no. Instead of using the resources at their disposal in the Alliance, the Commander just shrugs and says "Well, I don't know. I guess I'll be surprised uwu!"
Felix. Felix Iresso is the one character in SWTOR that leaves me bewildered. Specifically I'm bewildered as to why this guy doesn't have like the largest fanbase ever. He's good looking, he's smart, he's got a beautiful voice, and although I've heard the charge that he's boring, and I accept that people are entitled to their opinions, I'll admit that confuses me. The guy has a Sith holocron embedded in his brain and that's boring? He treats the Jedi Consular like absolute gold - if you tell him you're not interested in a romance he immediately understands and just becomes a good friend to the JC. He sends sweet, awkward emails. He wants to show you the holo shows he liked as a kid. If you take him around with you on class missions, he's got a great sense of humor. He respects the Consular's position within the Jedi Order and makes a point of not wanting to step on any toes with it. He actually goes to Tython to talk to the Council and answer their questions. Like, every fucking box you can check for Amazing Partner, he raises the bar.
Tumblr media
I'm sapphic and most of the time I avoid the M/F romances in the game. I don't avoid Felix (the others I like are Andronikos and Urtel, FWIW).
Anyway, in terms of KOTFE and KOTET. He has a history with Aric Jorgan. But maybe they see eye to eye on the fact that they're both fighting Zakuul. That would be a cool arc; the two finding common ground and working together. HE'S GOT A HOLOCRON IN HIS HEAD. What kind of plot points could they have come up with to try to extract that Forbidden Knowledge without hurting Felix? Could he learn to use it? Is there something in there that could help the Alliance stop the Emperor or help the Commander get rid of him and his family? Could Felix be attuned to the Force now and not know it? Hmmm, maybe Talos could work on that. OH WAIT.
Felix was supposedly imprisoned by the Eternal Empire and experimented on. Hmmm, but we go through a place with experiments. And we go through a lot of Zakuulan prisons and rescue prisoners. Maybe he's in Overwatch, where there's a specific bonus mission to free the prisoners. Maybe he's on that Eternal Fleet ship we commandeer with prisoners. So many possibilities - all lost. Now, to Ashara. A huge part of KOTFE is learning about the Force beyond the constraints of the Jedi and Sith Orders; and beyond light and dark as strict binaries. That's exactly what Ashara does in her own personal development arc in the class story. By the end of the Sith Inquisitor's story, she's reciting something that is neither the Sith nor Jedi Code, but appears to be close to the Grey Code. In her reunion she's channeling DS energy but carries yellow lightsabers. They could have used this character as a bridge between the Jedi and Sith - she's certainly lived in both words - and helped the Commander learn more about using all sides of the Force. Perhaps Ashara could have helped out in the Force Enclave. Akaavi. There was a Mandalorian chapter but we didn't see both Mandalorian companions. I'm perplexed as to why they could not have added her here. Akaavi has a great story of losing her clan and finding acceptance in the Smuggler's crew. Could she have found acceptance in the Alliance too? Hey, Mako's followed the Mandalorians even though she is not one. Could she have been the liaison between the Alliance and Shae? She and Akaavi still could have been a couple that way!
Tumblr media
We all know there was meant to be far more to the KOTFE/KOTET arc - a longer KOTET and a planned third installment that was scrapped. We know they had to do damage control and patch together everything into what we did get, with the unreturned companions having two minute reunions. Perhaps some of these companions who didn't have Alliance Alerts initially, like Felix and Ashara, would have had far larger participation in the story.
Could have, should have, would have - but every time I come across some of these characters I do think we could have had more with them.

Queen's Peril- Book Review
Tumblr media
(Nobody asked for this review but here it is. This is spoiler free but it does contain spoilers for the prequel movies. I’m not a book expert and I don’t even know how to speak in English to begin with, so excuse my poor grammar.)
Queen’s Peril is a canon Young Adult book written by E.K Johnston that narrates the events surrounding Padmé as a Queen prior to the Phantom Menace, focusing heavily on her role as the queen of Naboo and her relationship with her handmaidens. This book is also a prequel to her other novel, ‘Queen’s Shadow’, that I haven’t read yet but I ordered a copy already so I’ll keep you guys updated.
If you are a prequel’s fan and you want to expand your knowledge on the lore, this book is going to be an enjoyable read. It offers a unique perspective of the events happening in that sector of the galaxy and expands characters that are overlooked on the movies.
The relationship between the handmaidens and Padmé felt real. Even when the events occurred a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, this group feels like real friendship between real teenagers. When you learn more about each and every character the story feels more genuine.
The book also does a great job at introducing real themes without feeling forced. These themes are a part of the story as a whole and are not out of place at all.
The story doesn’t have a surprising plot, is quite predictable considering the fact that we as Star Wars fan have already seen what happens next in ‘the phantom menace’, but it’s a good plot and a good view into the details we may have missed.
Padmé is one of my comfort characters of the whole series, but Sabé is the one who steals the show for me in this book. Her arc and her backstory make her an incredibly complex character and this book let us see that she is more than a decoy for the queen. I can’t tell more without making spoilers.
My favourite part of the novel was how it’s not focused on only one set of characters, giving us an explanation for everything that is going on that finally detonates in the events of the movie. If you have seen the movies already, you probably wondered how evil Palpatine was involved in what happened in the Phantom Menace. This book will answer all your questions regarding that and more.
Also, in another note, every scene with the handmaidens as a group are particularly well-written.
This book made me laugh but it also made me feel really nostalgic. I was born in the 2000’s so I grew up with the prequel movies and The Phantom Menace was my introduction to the Star Wars Universe. Most of the times I really like a movie I wish I could go back to feel like I felt when I saw it for the first time, never really achieving the feeling. With this reading I felt like when I watched the movie for the first time. It was fantastic.
The story kept me turning pages. I finished it on the same day I started it, and it’s not a particularly short book. The way it was written made me feel hooked on the events, like watching a movie inside my head.
I didn’t really find that many things I particularly disliked from the book, since the novel mostly fixed what I disliked from the movie. I wish we had seen more of Maul as a sith apprentice, but then again, the fact that he is even mentioned was already something good and the story isn’t really about him to begin with after all.
Overall, this is a fantastic book. I would recommend this book to prequel’s fans, Padmé Stans, people who want to read a Star Wars story without a male gaze, people who have Phantom Menace as their comfort movie, sapphic people, readers interested in the politics aspect of Star Wars and viewers of the clone wars who enjoyed Padmé’s episodes.
If you are more interested in battles and war focused stories, or stories focused on the force and force users, this may not be the book for you. Also, this book is the story of a group of teenage girls from their point of view, so if you are looking for a more adult book, this is also not for you but I will make reviews of other books in the future.
It’s not a mandatory read to understand the lore of Star Wars, but I heavily recommend it.
I hope you find this review useful and give this book a chance if you are interested. I’m not from the United States, so I got my English copy from a website called Busca libre, but I think it’s available in Amazon as well.

Thoughts on the epilogue so far?
So glad you asked, anon. I’ve spend a while thinking over it, and I’ve got a few thoughts in mind. Mostly ramblings and potentials, at the moment.
Prefacing that with a warning, and some information:
All of the CW tags on the Epilogue are relevant. I’ve seen a lot of people assuming it’s a joke, or Hussie mocking people - but it’s genuinely not. The tags have apparently been checked by a lot of people (including trans folk and cis women) to ensure they’re relevant and suitable for the content. However, a lot of it is apparently just going to be talked about, not actually brought up in graphic detail during the events of the Epilogue - so please take caution as we continue on. I’m sure people will eventually write up a page-by-page of content warnings so that we know exactly where each potential trigger comes in, and someone, somewhere, will do a writeup of what happens to avoid the warnings altogether.
Additionally, the entire Epilogue has already been written up, which means we’re back to upd8 schedules. We’ll just have to see how they plan on working the upd8s, since, as far as I can tell, there’s currently no specific plan in place, or at least not one that we know of.
And now, into my ramblings.
First of all, the hints towards relationships? Very cool. It’s nice that we confirmed Dave, Karkat, and Jade have that weird dynamic going on that none of them even really understand, and that Roxy and Calliope remain a sapphic mystery to pretty much everyone. Hopefully a lot of this gets confirmed later on in the Epilogue - or at least that we get something more solid to hold onto than John’s non-understanding of relationships.
John’s lamentations on his potential relationship with Roxy also seemed incredibly sad, and actually furthers my theory on John as a True Heir of Breath. As does just about everything he mentions, honestly.
Since he still has his Retcon powers, he’s still technically “Free”; Free from Canon, yes, but also free from the potential destruction of their Canonicity. He’s also, once again, the person who has to Free everyone from that fate. He’s Freedom incarnate, but also, it seems, Apathy incarnate. The fact that he’s apparently barely been speaking to any of his friends, feels disconnect between who they were and who they are now, still seems to be struggling to find his place in Earth C, and (so far, at least) seems unable to fully connect with Rose and Roxy implies that his inheritance of Breath is slowly reaching its peak.
On the other hand, the talk of Canon is wildly interesting. I never 100% completed the comic - lost my place somewhere before the Tricksters, but kept roughly up to date on stuff that happened afterwards and have since managed to catch back up to Jane’s introduction, though I’ve yet to continue reading again - so I know she’s likely referencing things I don’t fully understand yet.
Having said that, there is something pretty disturbing about the ideas that Rose is presenting.
The way she puts it, there’s three categories of existence defined by the amount of three different factors within them:
Relevance, Truth, and Essentiality.
Canon has varying levels of Relevance and Essentiality, I’m assuming based on the fact that past events can be changed through something like a Retcon and thus nothing that happens is entirely Essential and nor is everything in Canon wholly Relevant. All things in Canon, however, are True - the full events of the story 100% unquestionable.
Non-Canon has no Truth behind it, and thus renders whatever Relevance or Essentiality it has meaningless. It doesn’t matter that the events happening in these Non-Canon scenes are Relevant or Essential to a subjective degree - that to us, or to the characters, they’re Relevant to development or the story, or Essential to moving the plot on in the direction the author wants, or in presenting an idea or foundation for a character’s development - because they’re not Canon, and they can never be canon unless brought into Canon by the Canonical author or characters.
Out-of-Canon has almost no Relevance or Essentiality and holds no baring on Canon events or plots at all, but remains Truth in the sense that it’s still part of Canonicity. These events don’t matter to the main Canon, the real Canon, but they aren’t exactly Untrue. They’re as real as whatever’s happening in Canon, but can be easily looked over, forgotten, or overall viewed as insignificant.
This is, essentially, what Rose is implying is happening to Earth C. It’s becoming forgotten and insignificant, it’s shifting too far away from Canon, and something very bad will happen if it does - not physically, but metaphysically. I think she essentially means they’ll either become Non-Canon, or they’ll lose their place as the Alpha Timeline.
That’s a lot to think about, so let me use an example I gave a friend who has never read Homestuck:
The Star Wars movies are considered to be Canon. These are what you go to when you want to watch the actual events of the Star Wars series - the main plot, the main storylines, the main characters.
The comics and the animated TV shows are Out-of-Canon. These events do not follow the main Canonical events of the Canon movies, but still happen within the same world at roughly the same time, or set up/explain events that happen in the movies. Sometimes they don’t even include main characters, and characters mentioned in the comics/TV shows may not ever appear in the movies, or even be referenced. These are True events, but hold little Relevance towards the watching of the Canon movies - and can hold varying degrees of Essentiality based on what the comics and TV shows are showing.
Fanfiction is Non-Canon. These are events that hold absolutely no Truth towards either the Out-of-Canon or Canon plot and storylines of Star Wars. Reading a piece of Fanfiction will never give you any additional, Canonical information about Star Wars unless it’s made Canon by a writer. Princess Leia might absolutely deck a Storm Trooper and single-handedly raid a Sith hideout and slaughter the bad guys with one hand tied behind her back to save Han Solo in a fanfic, but none of those events have ever actually happened in Canon. They might hold some sort of Relevance or Essentiality - either because they develop the characters better, or plug up plot holes, or spread some Canonicity of events, or even just help to keep the actual Canon alive by ensuring fans are still consuming anything about it so it stays firm in their minds - but they are never True.
So what Earth C has done is placed itself in a position where they no longer align with the Canon events of Homestuck. Homestuck finished as soon as they stepped through that door, but they are still very much Canonical. They no longer contribute to the progression of canon, but they are still a product of Canonical events and are 100% the Canonical players of Homestuck.
But the longer they stay Out-of-Canon, they lose their Relevance and Essentiality - their Importance. That’s what Light is all about, after all. Rose is essentially realising that the longer they stay living in Earth C, in a world that Hussie can’t ever fully write out, no matter how hard he tries, they’re going to become less and less important.
Rose’s marriage to Kanaya is Out-of-Canon. Wholly Canonical, and it definitely happened, but her marriage is in no way Essential to the progression of Homestuck. It’s losing its meaning and importance because it didn’t happen in Canon. The more they do Out-of-Canon, the more unimportant it gets - until eventually some drastic event occurs that means it’s completely lost its Truth.
So, John has to go back and defeat Lord English to ensure they stay Canonical. If he doesn’t, their timeline will go on - but they’ll no longer be the Alpha timeline, and they’ll no longer be Canonical. They’ll become Non-Canon. They’ll lose all Truth completely.
I have the feeling the Apophis thing that kept popping up in the 413 event on FFBF will also become relevant here. I mean, it’s literally a snake that’s meant to eat the sun, and we get told that the Green Sun has to be consumed by a supermassive blackhole - one that John’s been dreaming about “in anime”, which I think probably means something to do with Lord English. At the very least, Caliborn.
I’m incredibly interested by the idea of John going back into canon, nabbing their younger selves, and doing… something. He can’t attack LE head on, and they’re going after his younger self - so Caliborn, probably? - but I’m genuinely curious where in the timeline John will end up, and who he’ll need to take. Definitely Dave, at least, since Rose mentioned some sort of weapon he has, and I’m assuming by proxy that means the other kids - but which trolls, and does that also include Calliope? Is this the event we’ve been waiting for, where John goes back and saves everyone?
John’s dream also worries me. A supermassive blackhole devouring the entirety of Paradox Space, permakilling billions upon billions of ghosts as it spans the width of the universe. This makes me wonder if we’re going to get the final ending to Homestuck - the True ending. One where everything is wrapped up so neatly that every other timeline is devoured by this blackhole. There will be no more offshoots, no reason for doomed timelines or successful-but-not-Canon sessions. I get the feeling that’s where it might be going, or at least that’s what John’s dream is implying.
So what that concerns me with, then, is Rose’s hesitance when John says he’ll come back. There’s the implication there that, no, John won’t be coming back. Or at least that Rose won’t be seeing him again. Roxy’s concern, too - and Calliope’s ensuring that this is a choice John gets to make rather than something he has to do - holds some sort of worrying note I’m not fully sure of yet.
Talking to a few people, I get the feeling it might be something along the lines of these:
- John has to die to complete this mission.
John’s death is at the hands of LE, or in his attempts to defeat LE, and becomes a vital part to his defeat
John’s the “powerful being” who attempts the suicide strike to destroy the Green Sun, and that’s why he’s having dreams about it now
- John will be creating a new timeline, and will end up getting Canon-locked into it, meaning that he won’t be able to return to the current Alpha-timeline Earth C
- Something will happen to Rose? Her condition might be worse than she initially thought, or she might be downplaying it for John’s sake, and rather then being concerned about his safety, she’s actually concerned about hers
- John will create a timeline that has no End State, or will create a new Alpha timeline. Either way, he’ll be dooming the current Alpha-timeline Earth C.
In any case, I am incredibly excited to see what happens with this. I feel like it’s going to be a very long, very interesting Epilogue - one that, hopefully, plugs up a lot of the plotholes we’ve been complaining about over the past three years.

I didn’t want to reblog because I’m not sure this counts, but this is because of @sapphic-sith’s recent question about puns. I wanted to share.
Some years back I was running a superhero/teenagers from outer space type thing, superheroes in high school in a Jetsons style future. One of the main villains was Doctor Crom, a Doctor Doom type with a strict code of following the tropes of being a serial villain.
Not pun related, but, for example, he once captured the heroes, and in the middle of his monologue one of them attacked him. Upon which he knocked the hero around and then said, “Now, are you going to let me explain my master plan so you can foil it or should I continue to beat you?”
Anyway, at one point Frank Castle, the Punisher, visited this world. And, because of the bizarre laws of the place, gained the entirely unwanted power for his words to shape reality. By puns. Because, you know.
He once was watching some kids doing something he disapproved of. He said, “Youngsters these days.” Which his power interpreted as “Jungsters these days”, creating roving gangs who would corner people to ask them about their dreams.
Anyway the second, Doctor Crom in Doom like fashion eventually steals this power and sends Frank on his way. He proceeds to create his own supervillain team based on this, which became known as Crom and Pun-is-Meant.
Foe Paw, a huge but very clumsy creature that generally was more trouble than he was worth. Psi-Lens, who could increase her psychic powers by absorbing sound. And, while not strictly a pun but more a literary reference, the dashing Outrageous Fortune, who could somehow use a sling and a bow at the same time.
Then, there is the signature pair of this group: Raz and Nik. Raz is a fairly normal young girl, though she’s clearly seen some stuff. Nik, though, was a raging monster that for whatever reason had taken a liking to her. It would sometimes lose control, and she was the only one that could calm it down. As such, a frequent command from Doctor Crom was, “Raz, call Nik off.”
I created the entire team just for that. So, really, I guess I did do something bad for a pun.

"Capernoited" for any pancake?
Capernoited - Slightly intoxicated or tipsy.
Also, @sapphic-sith you enabled this, you get a tag.
I realize I don’t write or talk much about Young Aria and all the shenanigans she got up too. And this is like, very young Aria, we’re talking like early 20′s here, barely a Lord, just a bratty and arrogant sithling. Alcohol Warning ahead too. And possible stupidity as well.
She wasn’t drunk. She didn’t get drunk. Ever. She was merely tipsy.
That’s what she kept telling herself and everyone else that asked at least.
Her mother and one of her uncles had said she could ‘attempt to mingle’ with the other guests, or do whatever she wanted as long as she did not embarrass herself (and the family along with her). And she had of course promised to do just that.
She never said how long she would uphold that promise, however.
Normally she would try not to upset her relatives. That never ended well for her. But they were in somewhat of a bind now. She was a Lord now, and she was also the Heiress to be the next head of the family. And her taking over wasn’t too far away from happening now.
As much as everyone hated the least-pureblooded-of-all to be their next leader they had to bear with the idea.
And they also had to stick to the family rules of not killing other family members. Or hurting them.
And she enjoyed pushing the rules and all of her luck to the limit. It was far more entertaining than any Sith party.
Even so, she found ways to make it interesting. To her at least.
She’d already lost count of how many people she had flirted with, mostly women. That always managed to upset her relatives beyond words. They didn’t care much about what she was into, as long as she was into it privately, all they expected was for her to have an heir at some point and apparently they couldn’t conceive her doing that with another woman.
She had also manged to - though she denied it - make the champagne cup pyramid fall over and shower at least six Darths in the process. They were certainly not happy by that.
Her relatives were fuming by then, but also thought themselves far too important (or were too ashamed to claim to be related) to attempt and stop her at that point. Possibly the worst mistake they could make that night.
Stopping her would have been the smart thing to do.
The music had been rather tame all evening. Or more accurately, boring. Apparently everyone was trying to outdo each other on how long they could take the music without falling on their lightsabers.
It had taken Aria a while and a lot of credits to convince the band to play something a little bit more... lively.
And it had taken a lot more persuasion and credits for them to let her sing and play the piano along with them at some point in the night.
It might have also taken her to promise them safe passage out of Dromund Kaas after the party as well.
They were all aware the Lords that hired them would be less than pleased after the little stunt Aria wanted to pull that night.
The band began to play, just as they had been instructed and as expected that was enough to grab everyone’s attention. Seeing her up there along with them though, that managed to start quite the amount of disappointed mumbles and stares. Maybe a few shakes of the head as well.
She smirked. The plan was going perfectly.
She leaned slightly closer to the microphone “This one is to a very special Lady in the crowd. You know who you are.” She said, pointing towards a rather fetching Pureblood that just so happened to be with one of her Cousins or as she had to call him, Fiance.
Not that she hadn’t tried herself. Family had just gotten in the way of course.
And now they had to put up with her singing for said woman in front of every important Sith in Dromund Kaas. She was sure she’d ruined their night completely now.
And maybe she also had to admit that she was a bit more than tipsy this time around.
