semi hiatus from september 25 - october 14 because it’s midterm hell week and i’ve got quizzes, assignments, and exams galore! i won’t be around much, writing will be queue based and i’m scarcely on discord. sorry for anyone waiting on replies! please wish me luck to survive these trials :’)

It hurt in the beginning, but it hurt much MUCH more later on. You aren't even really aware that things are happening to you. They are subtle like that. After all, They have had the chance to prefect this process down to almost the second of becoming like Them.

Unfortunately, the perfected method is very painful. You feel it in your bones. Just a dull ache that makes you think of growing pains as a child. Something that once was easy to do; no longer works for how your body is structured (like climbing a tree or how when you used to cry, it would always be with tears that made your face too hot).

The shift from bones to being in your muscles would seemingly happen over night. Tendons feeling too rubbery and bendable and cartilage always became brittle. The nosebleeds became normal, and you are reassured that it is normal. (After all, it is to them.)

Eventually, it buzzes under your skin. Sometimes it feels like a phone vibrating under anywhere that might have blood, but then others it's impossible not to think of their being insects just under the first layer. (There are no bugs in the End. You know that. At least, you haven't seen any Endermites...) You hear it in your ear drums. Your teeth rattle ever so slightly in a way that makes your jaw hurt. The perpetual motion makes stomachs easier to upset and falling asleep almost impossible.

But eventually, after sitting too long in discomfort, you find out the meaning of these sorenesses. It is so much easier to mold something if it has been made pliable. They desire to bend, to snap, to stretch you as far as you'll go and then go farther.

Watchers are massive things in their fullness. Large and hulking creatures that can blot out the sun at their full hight. But one simply does get to being that size naturally. No, they had to be pulled up; spines and fingers being elongated, arms and legs extending out, and smiles made even wider to show more teeth.

The smile is why Grian doesn't ever bother having one shown. He hates to remember hooks pulling at his cheeks.

obviously you love ABAP so i don't wanna be a hater but i'd like to share my take in a normal way. here goes: if ABAP was released by any random band i would be like, these songs fucking rip ass, love this album. because they do. they rip ass. but from FOB, most ABAP songs (not all!!!) are lyrically... not up to par. imo! and i'm not a SRAR enthusiast either so it's not like it was a letdown after that album. PAX AM and MANIA r more 2 my taste for being kinda weird in very different ways

yknow ive heard this sort of take a lot with abap (if another band released it it would be incredible, for fob it isn't, the lyrics aren't great etc etc) which i respect obviously if that is ur opinion! music and lyricism are subjective! but it will never not be an Odd take to me since a Lot (not all, but enough to be notable) of the lyrics were taken from pete's old writing. from stuff that was also used to write ioh and folie (i think) so i really just. struggle to see how the lyrics are actually worse, but that is just my opinion that the lyrics are really really good!

Horus when they are an heir, Ra when they are a pharaoh (or Horus depending on whether it is the Old Kingdom, ect., because those timelines put emphasis on certain gods and their roles), and upon their death, they become an incarnation of Osiris, but then also become Ra/Horus when the sun rises once again -- rinse repeat. It's complicated FSFDFSS. ; OH I FORGOT TO MENTION! In the Old Kingdom, they put a lot of emphasis on Anubis being Lord of the Dead, though this was later overshadowed in the New Kingdom by Osiris with Anbusi' role shifting.

I only knew that when a pharaoh came to the throne they were associated/became the manifestation of horus and in death, they became/were associated with Osiris, but i was def not aware that Ra was in consideration, as well as when the sun rises! for some reason my mind completely jumped past my own thoughts in my previous meta in regards to Nito, horus and osiris -thonks- must be my mind being tired from yesterday still RIP- THO i also didn’t know that anubis’ role got later overshadowed in the new kingdom! and when u bring that onto the table, I can see her ‘ears’ looking like pointy jackal ears as a reference to him bc of the time period where nito was said to exist which dates to much older than when the new kingdom started (and with it, Osiris taking the role of anubis)
