As promised, via not-so-scheduled post, the main reason I’ve been sitting on posting for the past two weeks: character profiles of the amazing cast of Operation Mincemeat!! I’m awfully proud of these so hopefully all of you enjoy them too. These poses were a blast to work (and stare at myself in the mirror doing for reference) and I can pretty confidently say I can draw these sorts of outfits in approximately 60 seconds or less now lmao. Not that I regret that, it’s just gonna result in these silly five making their way into my doodle rotation.

Now, to get a little personal for a second, I didn’t just draw these because I wanted to do solo shots (it did kill two birds with one stone though) See, I graduated this year (yippee, right?) and as is recent tradition amongst graduates I’ve send out grad party invites to celebrities who I admire. If you know me at all, though, then you know I couldn’t just send a card and nothing more. So, now that the envelopes are in the mail and I can’t take them back no matter what my anxiety says, I can post these! Cast, if you’re seeing this before the postal service does its thing, watch the mail lol 😉 Anyway, I’ve rambled enough. Listen to Operation Mincemeat. It’s phenomenal. I’ll probs be drawing more of it soon trust

The Path To Freedom

It's the longest fanfiction I ever wrote, and that despite of me summarizing many canon events; Also the fix-it that saw Luna, Ravus, Noctis and Ardyn live, Bahamut fall, and still usher in a new age for Eos.

Although I started writing it just for the funny banter between Ardyn, Noctis and the chocobros, it grew into so much more over time, taught me how to write in each of the character's voices, led me to discover my love for Luna and Ravus, an appreciation for Loqi, Gentiana and Regis, some understanding for Somnus, and Ardyn and Noctis building a mentor-mentee relationship on top of the "weird uncle and nephew" roles I had planned for them.

It was such a wild ride, and Ardyn, to this date, remains my favorite villain of all time.

It's Monday! And that means another question for the fans:

How would you feel about a big pdf version of Aurora being out there? Probably by having all the images downloaded and then put together using a program like pdf chain. I think having a file like that would make it pretty great to read on an e-reader.

Since the comic is ongoing, it would probably make sense to have one single file for all of arc 1. I'd be happy to put it together, but only if you're in favour of it of course! If you would want to have the file for your own sharing/reading purposes, I'd be happy to send it to you.

The comic is in the process of being edited for physical publication in summer of 2025, and ebook rights are part of the contract, so I would not feel good about someone stitching together and passing around a bootleg version.

It's not very organized, and not all information is of equal importance, but whenever I ramble about my characters and their setting in depth on a post, I try to add that tag so that they can be found more easily.

It’s the way that when Buck told Eddie that he and Natalia broke up, Eddie said, “welcome back to the world of the living, Buck; you were missed.” It’s the way that at the graveyard, Eddie said, “to be honest, you haven’t been the same since [the lightning strike] happened… but how could you be?” It’s the way that, to Eddie, Buck died for 3 minutes and 17 seconds, but he never came back to life. It’s the way that when Buck said he broke up with Natalia because all she wanted to talk about was death, Eddie saw the light in Buck that he hadn’t seen since before he was struck. It’s the way he missed the Buck he was before he died, but didn’t push him. The way he said, “you don’t have to be anything for anybody,” when Buck said he felt that he had to try to be the “same old” guy he was before the lightning. The way that even though Eddie did miss the old Buck, and he did want to be there for him, he gave him the space he needed to heal, even if it meant healing with Natalia. It’s the way that, when Buck told him that he broke up with Natalia, he raised an eyebrow and immediately welcomed him back. In that moment, Buck was alive again and Eddie had him back. It's the way he loved Buck back to life. It’s the way Eddie loves him to his core.
