okay so no idea how i should refer to myself as so: hi!! im the person who had way too much fun writing ai/nino toxic yuri on ao3! i was gonna just lurk (me, tumblr account with privated likes, reblogs and follows) BUT how could i with the promise of people being normal about fictional unhealthy gay women. idk if this is the optimal way to communicate i use tumblr with the sole purpose of following 4 people and digging up ai content

i am honestly so flattered (but also kinda upset at the lack of content on them aside from my own 1k word long oneshot please keep recommending if you find more stuff on them) that you enjoyed and recommended my fics considering i just straight up had no clue where i was going: okay so top priority i want them to kiss —> but also with how things are nino would probably lash out (read: bite) —> ai would be hesitant but also is so desperate that she’d still accept it happily —> this will fuel ninos idea of ai being the perfect, invincible idol —> and then i ran and tried not to trip with the rest

your translations of the side stories and blog was probably what helped me get in to oshi no ko again because even though i am still not over ai being dead i can now listen to someone talk about how great and tragic and sad and miserable she was along with all the other characters so thank you again!

that said it does make me so happy every time I hear people saying my relentless oshi no posting stands out to them to the degree that it does lol. I guess I'm in a similar place as you where, as happy as I am for it, it does make me a little sad that it feels like there's such little fan interest in lengthy meta and discussion on Ai herself outside of some really banal, surface level stuff. To a degree, I get that with other characters having so much more time on the page and having ongoing arcs to speculate about, but Ai is sooooooooo fascinating to me and it really drives me insane how often I see people make zero effort to engage with her arc beyond her utilitarian function in the story. It also really bums me out how often I see her get reduced to just a stepping stone in the arcs of other characters — even though the manga is literally shaking you right now and begging you to understand and empathize with her more than ever, I straight up see people cheering and crowing about Ruby 'surpassing' her or 'becoming the true Ai' as if this is a good thing and they are not completely fucking missing the point lmao.

ANYWAY!!!! That's enough grumping because the actual point of this response was to say: the Ai posting will continue until I am physically forced to stop!!!! I have so many thoughts about my wife constantly and if I do not share them I will explode!!!

I really don't know if anyone would understand half of what I was saying if it was any other blog but θείτσα μ here have me bear my soul to you I think you'll at least find it entertaining to read?

Maybe I'm biased or was always choosing the wrong genre but as a Greek Kid reading Greek Books in my childhood I was always so disappointed to see the trope "there's no Treasure, the Treasure was the Friends We Made Along The Way :)" because that's just such a cheap cheat on an ending of an adventure genre book

Like as I kid I had personal beef with it. Like, why did authors have to back out on us. Like, "oh yeah y'all went on a three month summer adventure collecting clues and deciphering secret messages but there's no gold at the end of the trail because it's not realistic" FUCK REALISM I WANT TO BE REWARDED FOR MY EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT

And if it was one book it'd be fine BUT THIS TROPE PERSONALLY PLAGUED ME IT WAS EVERYWHERE does anybody have this specific experience or am I losing my mind.

Two titles that come to mind just cause I'm still salty about it are SPOILER ALERT Ο Θησαυρός του Ταϋγέτου and Στο Μυστρά Με Πανσέληνο (has anyone else read those?). Don't get me wrong I don't hate the books. Actually I do love them since I still remember the title and plot since I first read them, it's just... I'd just like to burn them in the τζάκι for leaving me hanging like this. Just mildly salty about it. :/

AND THEN ONE DAY

At some point στο δημοτικό I found a book series (πρέπει να ήταν μεταφρασμένη λογοτεχνία) στην δανειστική βιβλιοθήκη του ΚΔΑΠ που πήγαινα τότε that was the same group of friends (with a few new characters sometimes) going on adventures and unintentionally always falling into life changing adventures. Like I think I vividly remember a dialogue that went like "Oh, this summer let's go somewhere that we won't get involved in a great adventure for a change" and then me laughing because guess what they did. They went in a great adventure (again) and found treasure (again) and holy shit I love this book series. Might be inaccurate because it's been a long time since I last held them but who cares it's the memory that counts.

And it's been haunting me bc I don't remember the title AND I ADORE THESE BOOKS I remembered it randomly and it feels like I've lost part of myself :((((((

You can also give me the additional gift of friendship as a surprise but pleaase just give me what you promised in the beginning!

My other issue is that the search for the treasure - which is what attracts you to the book as a kid - is like... 5% of the book, and then it all gets resolved in five minutes in the end. I don't want to hear about the random uncle and the school problems of one's sister. I want the treasure!!! I think such a book for me was Ο θησαυρός της Βαγίας (The Treasure of Vaghia) because I still remember the disappointment.

For some reason I never read Οι πέντε φίλοι but the title was always there, in the Κινητη Βιβλιοθηκη :) Buy them and enjoy them all over again!

I've read 3 of the Song Fish chapters and I love how different the story is compared to Deep Dreams and also how it's different. At first I thought that 'oh it's gonna be a complete repeat sort of' but it's been very different so far and I'm really enjoying it!

I love how you're writing y/n this time around with their phobias of deep oceans and large objects/creatures. It's so well painted and described through your beautiful writing. I can very easily put myself in their shoes and really feel their terror, it's fantastic!

I was so giddy when I realized that Deep Dreams and Song Fish are connected, like really connected with them taking place in the same place just some years apart. AAA I LOVE IT!!

I'm a big fan of what you've done with Gregory too, he might be different from what he is in the games but I'm just very happy that y/n has someone nice to lean on. I'm very curious to hear about this mer he's hanging out with hehe~ I'm so used to y/ns being very oblivious to everything, but oh my god if they don't pick up on the clues soon I'll rattle them into tiny bits!!

Oh and the boys, THE BOYS!!! Oh my god I loooove them!! They're so patient and sweet and so AAAA!!! You know how I am with big creatures being gentle and caring, I melt and melt and MELT!! They're so beautiful too aaaa man.. I love them!!! I love the scene where y/n is on Sun's back and he and Moon are looking at y/n waiting for them to calm down, being so patient. 1. Are you named after anyone? I have no clue, apparently my mom liked the name Nichole but my dad vetoed so I am what I am now, no reason or explanation provided.

2. When was the last time you cried? oh man, yesterday. I have a lot going on in my life right now that isn’t very savory (severe chronic pain, some new responsibilities that feel beyond me, the slow decline of my last living relative who I have a complex history with). So my capacity for interaction or helping people is really really low most days and it’s just hard.

Because sometimes in fandom there’s like this unspoken feeling of ‘if we’re mutuals we must reblog and comment and interact with everything each of us does’. And like I wanna be supportive but I can’t turn fandom into a job, I can’t feel obligated to come up with Big Thoughts on everything, I can’t even make myself read meta rn because my brain is just on empty. All I can do is write because writing is disassociation time for me.

So I just felt stressed and awful and had a little freak out about it, I guess.

3.Do you have kids? No, no thank you, not for me!

4.Do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes. Too much, maybe.

5.What sports do you play/ have played? I don’t really do sports in a traditional sense. I was never on a team growing up, I never learned how to play any kind of ball games.

I guess if you consider jousting, mounted medieval combat/archery, and barrel racing sports then yeah, I do that.

6.What’s the first thing you notice about people? Hands! Like what do they do with their hands, do they fidget do they gesture? Do they have nice nails or are they chewed? Whether someone’s hands are taken care of says a lot to me so I’m always checking that out.

7.What’s your eye colour? Hazel with some fairly big amber discolored spots in them.

8.Scary movies or happy endings? Both! I’ll watch most anything.

9.Any special talents? I pick up most crafts pretty easily I guess. And I can open any jar despite having small hands.

11.What are your hobbies? Writing fic, 15th/16th century sewing projects. I don’t love gardening but I don’t hate it either, I take care of my plants as best I can. Going to art museums and traveling.

14.Favourite subject in school? I didn’t like anything in school haha I was able to read way beyond my grade level starting from first grade and I had severe undiagnosed adhd, so I hated it all. I just wanted to read the passages by myself, fill in the worksheet, and then read my own book instead of keeping pace with the rest of the class. I don’t think I enjoyed a single moment of school.

15.Dream Job? I do not aspire to labor haha If I could support myself doing some kind of creative projects that would make me so happy, but it would have to be stuff I choose and not commissions. I did commissions for a long while and dealing with people is so hard when they want stuff that isn’t really what you want to be making. Or working in a museum, I would enjoy that a lot.

Morning gaming sesh of call of duty. Rudegrrl2667 on twitch if y'all are interested haha. Anyway. I'm posting a pic rn because I have like... *Knocks on wood* perfect skin RN and I have no idea why. I haven't been avoiding the foods I'm allergic too (turns out I'm mildly allergic to wheat, corn, beef and whey I found out super recently). I've been going to doc appointments because very often I get small hive-like occurrences around my nose and also on my back that last for weeks and sometimes even months.

I wish I knew how to get rid of the hives or whatever they are for good but unfortunately they are unpredictable and seem to have no rhyme or reason no matter what I've been eating or not eating (I've tried cutting foods out and also not, and still it's unpredictable). But today is a happy day because they aren't around! First time in months. Interestingly, my father also has issues with his skin and rashes on his face occasionally. Anyway, my skin is doing crazy good rn and I have no clue why lol.

Gratitude is important. I have so much to be thankful for in life. I've experienced a lot of bad in my life, yes. But also so, so much good. I'm so proud to come from the family I come from. I'm so proud of all of them and I feel proud to carry the same last name. I want to start accomplishing things. My family are doers. I need to start doing.

I got a seasonal position at Nordstrom at the perfume counter, it's a short term gig but it's kind of adorable. Looking forward to having something to do and making some money in quite a bougie atmosphere tbh haha.

I have to admit, I struggle with holding down jobs. I don't get fired, but I have moved jobs many... Many times. I have had bouts of panic and depression that pop up without warning that makes me want to give up which has lost me my fair share of amazing job opportunities. The knowledge of this is a little painful. I just want to do well and feel successful in my life and it seems like that is the one thing I cannot seem to achieve yet. It's not like going on disability is actually an option either, I've thought about it from time to time. It's just not enough money to live off of ultimately. Idk. It's definitely the biggest hurtle in my life, or has been.

My partner has been kind enough to support me while I've been out of work this time. I don't know what I would do without her honestly in so many ways. She shows me so much love and support, I often hope that I am doing enough for her in return. My partner is a newly transitioning transgender female (mtf). I love her and support her journey fully. I didn't regret transitioning the first time myself. Being Joey was an extremely important part of my journey to becoming who I am today.

Everyone is allowed to regret transitioning if they want to. I'm not saying you can't do that or feel that way. I just.... Don't believe in encouraging that way of thinking. If I had a child who ended up transitioning, I would want them to know that they should love themselves no matter what their human bodies look or sound like. Just because I don't look or sound how I would have if I hadn't transitioned to be a man, doesn't mean I'm not beautiful just the way I am now. I just wish we all wanted to love ourselves and wanted others to do the same no matter what.

God. Sometimes I wish I could give my partner advice when it comes to the next two years of transition for her.... I would tell her to stop waiting to live. Stop... Waiting to "arrive" at the perfect you. Let transition happen to you while you're living your life fearlessly. We are never done "cooking" as I like to say. So just go out and live like no one is watching 😭♥️

I’m actually writing this bit right here 2 hours before the episode is even out bUT I had to share my idea of, with Din and Bo Katan not getting along very well currently, I would LOVE if they fought (maybe in this episode or the next one?) and Din ended up winning back the Darksaber??? And if it was in front of a bunch of other Mandos and they immediately accept him as Manda’lor unlike how they are with Bo Katan???? I’d scream I really hope that this is where the show is going and if it’s not y’all can bet your asses that I will write fix-it canon divergent fanfic for this concept

From some of your posts I get the impression you dont like talking/being reminded of TTB rn, and as someone who is only primarily a writer, (and can never finish writing a multichaptered fic personally, so godspeed to you) I get it. But I just wanted to say I read up to where you left off in the entirety of this afternoon at my work shift and really enjoyed my time! if ur characters were thrown into different saw movies and traps, what are their chances of survival? what traps would they go to?

so full disclosure i am still, in fact, very new to this franchise, and most of what i know after the first movie has been from me reading the wiki articles about the traps and going "wow that's fucked up" over and over. THAT BEING SAID, i'll talk about two ones i know and think are interesting conceptually and which characters would probably have the best chance. focusing on magic apocalyptica because that's what's rotating in my head the most rn.

putting under the cut, content warnings for descriptions of murder and torture (nothing graphic but still tread lightly!)!!

Bathroom Trap: So the bathroom trap is the one I care about the most and the one I know the most about, so that's probably gonna be. The one I mainly talk about.

Anyway, out of the Magic Apocalyptica cast, the one I can most likely see ending up in this situation is Howl, so for fun I'll throw Jackrabbit in, too, since those two are besties. AU where this is how they meet (actually not too far off from how Jackrabbit got his magic in the first place, but that's not what this is about).

So, a refresher for those who don't know the bathroom trap: the long and short of it is that two people are trapped in a bathroom, chained to separate pipes, and given a time limit to get out. There are clues hidden around the room, but otherwise there's not much to help them. Also, one of them is tasked with killing the other to be set free, and the other is just tasked with surviving and escaping. So, cool.

I think Howl would probably be tasked with killing Jackrabbit, but he wouldn't actually try to do it. He's a scoundrel, but he's not that kind of guy. However, I think he wouldn't saw off his foot or anything either, mainly because he is SO squeamish when it comes to blood. Like he might consider it but he wouldn't do it. Would Jackrabbit do it? Good question. If this is before Jackrabbit loses his arm, then maybe, but who knows! He's more likely to do so than Howl.

Anyway I think that Howl and Jackrabbit would both make it out, if only because I think it's possible that they'd team up and overpower Jigsaw at the first opportunity. They work very well together and they're both crafty motherfuckers, and I can see them finagling a way out.

Shotgun Carousel: Okay so this is the only other trap I've read about in a lot of depth (aside from some of the Nerve Gas House ones but those ones squick me out so <3) and it's one that seems kinda funky and creative to me. So I"ll also do this one.

So for those who don't know this one, the Shotgun Carousel is like. A bunch of people are chained to a carousel thing, and every now and then it stops with one person in front of a loaded shotgun. The only person not attached to the carousel has the opportunity to stop the shotgun from firing at them, but they cannot stop it from firing. It's going to fire the exact number of times needed to kill everyone, and the person outside the carousel can only stop it twice because every time they stop it, they get injured themself.

My first thought was going into the logistics of who would end up here, but the one I think is most likely to get out of this with as few casualties as possible is Gaia. Is this because Gaia and their fucky blood magic could find a loophole? Maybe. But if magic isn't allowed or somehow isn't a factor, I still can see Gaia trying to find a loophole through this. Depending on who's in the carousel at least.

I did just get the mental image of Gaia being given the chance to rescue either some of their coworkers or some of the subjects taken to the New Moon facility. That might be something fucked up to explore in the story.

Who would end up in a Saw trap in general: I just wanted to make a note that I think Prometheus would end up in a Saw trap and I have a vague idea of what would happen to him there and how it would go but I don't know how to express it.

Okay so I don't know if I answered this at all the way you wanted me to, but this was an interesting thought exercise! I am very entertained by the mental image of Jackrabbit and Howl teaming up to maul Jigsaw and claw their way out of the bathroom trap, and I also like the idea of Gaia being faced with a horrific, fucked up, painful choice. Probably not gonna do this specifically, and I probably won't even use it as inspiration too much, but I think Gaia should have some tough choices. And I think Prometheus would absolutely piss Jigsaw off and get tested for very personal, petty reasons.

currently, the chapter is set to come out within the next couple of days, hopefully before or at least on next Tuesday. I'm going to make a mention of it on the next chapter but TLDR things in life are busy and i think currently im going to want to play CS by when-i'm-available until start of 2023, in which fingers crossed im more available than i currently am rn.

Thirdly, I was trying to go to sleep the other day, and as I was laying there, failing to sleep, I had an idea for a Dabi x Reader story. Idk if you're taking requests rn, but if you are, or you simply want to store ideas away for later, I thought that a fanfic where the reader is a nurse at an asylum, and Dabi is one of the patients. The staff at the asylum could be the heroes and/or class 1-A, and the villains (mainly the members of the lov), would be the patients. Anyway, I thought I might share that with you, whether you'll use it or not 😄
