ok im all caught up so here are my thoughts

i LOVE your concept art for mikey of ur human au and would absolutely adore seeing your vision for the other boys 🤲🤲 ALSO just watched the 2007 movie for the first on my terrible flight home yesterday and it had me kicking my feet i loved it so much. one of my top 3 iterations for sure so far but im also a sucker for leo/raph angst so this is no surprise >:) plus i LOVE casey jones in every shape and form (2012 is def my fave, but 07 really has heart now too) so i am mega hoping to see him in the mm follow up series !!! and the hockey stick drawing on the mm character quiz you posted definitely had me thinking many thoughts ...

AND YES 2007 MOVIE!!!!!!! it never gets as much appreciation as it so rightly deserves. 2007 was the predecessor for the 2012 style, what with it being the first cgi turtles movie. 2007 is so important to me, i’m so glad you enjoyed it and oh my god casey jones in that movie. what a loveable dork. malewife material for sure like. he’s perfect. i could also talk about how perfect the b team element of that movie was but i think i would just burn out my phone so i’ll just say it was perfect and that was all. for now.

and i think casey has been confirmed to show up in the mm series! i don’t have the exact link on hand but i remember it floating around a little while ago where they said he was for sure going to make his entrance in the show which is SUPER exciting !!! i’m really curious as to what they do with his character. considering they’ve made april a teen again, i’m gonna bet on casey being around the same age too. ik some diehard fans don’t like that but making 2012 casey a gangly, streetfighting teen was THE move. it really highlights some of his best personality points. as much as i adore 2003 casey, they dumbed him down a little too hard in some cases, so making him a kid makes some of those “dumb moments” a little more excusable — i’m SO looking forward to seeing how he slots into their world. give me raph and casey, platonic or romantic I JUST WANT IT

honestly, my favorite of my own stuff changes every time i post something, because my preferences for characterization/writing style evolve a bit every time i write - so, my most recent stuff is the best reflection of those tastes, etc etc.

right now, i'd say that i think "raised by winter winds" is my best written fic... but it doesn't focus on binghe enough for it to actually be my favorite, LMAO, so i'll say that my current fav of my own stuff is either "if you don't have your own boyfriend, rented is fine" or "stuffed with fluff (and blood and bones and rage)."

...basically, it really is more or less just "whatever i've written most recently" 😅

anyway, in the spirit of sharing fics we've enjoyed with others, i'm going to take this chance to also recommend a few of the ongoing fics that i've been enjoying lately!!

the mouth of the wolf, the eyes of the lamb by Elementicy binghe's cradle seal starts to crack prior to the immortal alliance conference, and he struggles to keep his new demonic instincts in check. feral binghe is always great!

okay so a few days ago you made that "akutagawa mistaking atsushi for dazai in a fevered delirium and leaving him wondering what he doesn't know" post (yes, I did go back to deliberately copy & paste) but have you considered:

established sskk where a sick and delirious akutagawa hears atsushi mention dazai for whatever reason and immediately goes into threat mode, staggering to his feet and grabbing his coat so he can protect himself, looking absolutely terrified, and when atsushi asks what he’s doing aku says something like “you didn’t do anything wrong. he can hurt me instead.”

needless to say atsushi has questions. but those questions will probably have to wait until he can get his partner out of cornered-animal mode and into bed because poor boy looks like he’s about to collapse on the spot

(I’m so nervous sending this and I’m worried it’s terrible but I also had a hard day so I am PUSHING THROUGH in hopes of making someone else’s bad day better)

OH MY GODDDDD PLEASE THIS IS SO GOOD..... combination of all my favorite things I love aku just being so so fucking terrified but he will do whatever it takes to keep atsushi safe and he just wants him to go back to bed 😭😭 he has to like physically drag him back and reassure him constantly that everythings okay, no one is going to hurt either of them, but aku will not let atsushi out of his sight for the rest of the night. jay ferin's fire motif will always get to me. she is a fire who burns strong and bright, she's the guiding light for her friends, both figuratively and literally (as the navigator of the riptide pirates). but she's also a fire that burns herself, a fire built out of something almost hollow as she's desperately trying to find the answer; is she ever gonna be ready to return to her old life? and every day, she seems to know less and less.

the friends she's made as a member of the riptide pirates are like new kindling. they're stoking the flame and they're the thing that's making it thrive and flourish and become stronger in the long run, but how does she feel? how did she feel? knowing that every single branch, every twig, every piece to be burnt, that it was all a lie, at least in the beginning? with her secrets just fucking breathing down her neck?

did grizzly know what he was doing, setting up that hallucination of chip brutally murdering her sister? setting it up so that the next episode, jay would be revealing that secret?

--because it fits perfectly, in the worst way possible. she joined chip because she was a fire burning on vengeance, wanting to find the bastards who killed her sister, but chip became her closest friend.

when she was willing to give up her life, give up her freedom, if it meant chip and gill would live? when she looked her greatest fear, her fucking father, in the eyes, she was shaking and trembling, weeping. she wasn't the jay we knew.

but she still looked her father in the eyes and gave in, because she had finally found out- the only thing she feared more than him was chip and gillion dying.

but when she shot gillion, and he went down with a fucking smile? when he begged her to just tell him what he needed to fight for because he would do it?

when it all became futile, just for a moment?

she had given up. jay ferin had given up.

she's a newly extinguished flame, she's smoldering ash. but a spark's been lit, a spark blazed to life on that boat, when she shouted with only her crew and the stars to hear, that she was jay ferin, and that she was going to be the best fucking pirate the world ever saw.

jay ferin is going to become an all-encompassing blaze that may consume everything in her path, may even consume herself in the end.

and i'm so fucking excited to watch.

I knew it was the solstice so spent a while looking at her while walking Stitch, my mum also pointed it out to me. The moon is so beautiful I love her.

The full moon of June's happening on the same day (ish) as the solstice which is rare- she's gonna be really pretty tonight and tomorrow too! Go look at the moon everybody, all this weekend she's gonna look fairly full. If it's cloudy I will flip some tables. but luckily I'm not in a big city with as much light pollution now so I'll probably be able to see her well :)
