It’s been a long day for both you and Tony at his bakery - while he’s been working from early in the morning to well into the afternoon, you swung by for a few hours to help out during the afternoon rush - and now, you’re finally on your way home together, on your way to get some much-needed rest.

Even though it’s still relatively early in your pregnancy, it’s still draining a lot of your energy, and if it were up to Tony, you would already stay home and relax as you’re growing a human inside your belly. However, you have convinced him you can still work a few hours while he is also at the bakery, wanting to keep an eye on you whenever possible.

“How’re you feeling, Peach?” he asks, his hand gently squeezing your thigh as he looks at you. You’re waiting for the traffic light to turn green, and you close your eyes, feeling the warmth of the late afternoon sun on your skin, as you lay your head against the rest behind you.

“I'm exhausted,” you admit, your weariness evident in your voice. He can see it in your eyes, and a pang of concern grips his heart at the sight, fearing that even the few hours you’ve been on your feet today may have been too much.

Just as he’s about to say something, the light turns green, and he doesn’t mention the topic for now, making a mental note to talk about it once you’re feeling better. He wants nothing but the best for you and your baby, and even though they’re not here yet, he can’t stop thinking about the joy of becoming a Dad. A smile tugs on his mouth as you look over, making your heart swell with love.

“Sometimes, I still can’t seem to grasp the concept that you’re growing a baby, our baby. A little human! With ten fingers, ten toes, a perfect nose, and the chubbiest cheeks,” he says proudly, his voice filled with warmth and love as he talks about them.

“But sometimes, all I can think about is what it would be like to hold them in my arms. What it would be like to be held by those ten fingers and tickled by those ten toes as I kiss their nose. However, the one thing I do hope is that they’ll have your beautiful eyes, Peach. Because seeing them makes me feel like I’m home and safe,” your boyfriend says, which makes tears gather in your eyes.

“Well, I was going to say that I think they’re just as good of a hugger as you are, but I don’t think my comment will top yours!” you say with a sniffle, though you also laugh through it. He always knows the right things to say as he tugs at your heartstrings, and today isn’t any different. He’s always been excellent with words, which is proof of that.

When Tony pulls into the garage of the apartment complex where you live together, he quickly gets out as soon as he’s parked, wanting to help you out of the car. Then, instead of turning around to close the door like you usually would, you wrap your arms around his waist, your cheek pressed firmly against his chest, making Tony blush at the sudden movement.

For a moment, you pull back enough to look at him and admire his flushed cheeks and soft gaze before giving him a piece of your mind.

“I have to say, you’re the best hugger I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait for our little Cupcake to experience them too,” you say, at which you both smile so widely your cheeks start to hurt a little.

“That’s just the greatest compliment, Peach. But now I’m definitely not letting you go anytime soon!” he says before gently pulling you closer again, hugging you tighter. In his arms, you feel safe, and you can only hope your baby will feel the same when they’re in his arms.

This love is good

Tim is tired, he’s exhausted from the day events and he’s relieved that he’s in bed with Lucy relatively unharmed. He’s sore and he has a few bruises as does Lucy but he’s okay and she’s okay and that’s all that matters.

He rolls over in bed and studies Lucy, she had fallen asleep awhile ago after being snuggled up to Tim. They hadn’t said much and that was okay because sometimes the silence says everything. He reaches over and brushes her hair out of her face, not wanting to wake her but he just wants to look at her.

He can see the handprint on her throat and he feels a rush of anger rise up in him at the man who had so viciously attacked her. He thought about the desperation he felt and the need to get to her. But he had to eliminate the threat first and then go to her. He runs his finger lightly across her skin, and smiles at how soft it is and the privilege he has of seeing her this way. She is in just his shirt, she had been too tired to get anything else out and he gladly gave it to her. He loved when she wore his clothes. Her hair was sprawled on the pillow like a halo and she was on her side. He watches as her chest rose and fell with every breath she took.

He almost lost her today, she almost lost him today. The thought of being with Lucy made him sick to his stomach. It was something he never wanted to think about because a life without Lucy Chen was a life he didn’t want to live.

He reaches out once more and drags his fingers across her arm lightly. And it just hits him, he loves her.

He’s in love with her. That realization sends a tingle up his spine that has him smiling softly. He knows if Lucy were awake, she would tease him for the dopey look on his face all of a sudden. He’s shocked that he didn’t realize this before.

But he loves her with everything he has in him.

It’s not like he hasn’t been in love before, Isabel for one. He loved her once upon a time and he really thought she was his ever after. He thought he would always be with her. But things don’t always work out and he realized that’s okay.

He could have loved Rachel, she was sweet and he really did like her. And Ashley, after awhile he couldn’t see a future with her but he could have loved her too.

But Lucy?

He knew from the time that they started dating that this was it for him, she was it for him. He wanted everything with her.

He hopes she knows that, he hopes she knows how much he wants her. He tries to show her everyday in everything he does and says, he shows her when they are tangled up in the sheets together.

But neither of them have said those three little words. And it’s a shame because he knows once he says them he will never be able to stop.

Lucy moves a little in her sleep, but she doesn’t wake. He smiles as he continues to watch her despite his own eyes growing heavy.

He loves her, and something had happened today. If she had gone to the building alone or he hadn’t gotten the man off of her in time. He never would have been able to tell her. He scoots closer to her and gives her a soft kiss on the cheek. And then loops his arm around her front. She moves a little and her hand is now on top of his and her legs are tangled with his. Even in her sleep, she knows where he is and wants to be close.

He kisses her again, this time on the back of the head and then closes his eyes. He would tell her he loves her in the morning. He didn’t want to waste another second of keeping that inside of him. He needs her to know.

His eyes slowly close and he falls asleep with the knowledge that he’s holding the woman he loves.

The next morning, Tim wakes up still tangled up with Lucy. He smiles as he leans over and kisses her cheek and then moves his lips down her body. He looks up when he feels her fingers in his hair. She’s looking at him through half lidded eyes and it looks like she’s still half asleep.

“Hi.” She mutters as he pushes her (his) shirt up and kisses her stomach.

“Good morning.” He says into her soft skin. God he loves her so much. “I have something to tell you.”

She takes her fingers through his hair, and looks at him curiously. He rests his chin on her stomach. “What’s that?”

“I love you.” He says. Her eyes widen and there’s a long pause before she’s pulling him up to her. He settles between her legs as she rests her forehead against his. She smiles and takes a deep breath.

“I love you too.” She whispers. Tim reaches out to run his finger across her cheek to stop the tears from falling.

“Yeah?” He asks.

Lucy huffs out a laugh and nods, she pulls his face to hers. “Yeah I do.” And he thinks back to when he asked her out and she said those words and he felt giddy because he thought he would never have a chance with her. He thought of how he felt and the excitement for the future. He has that feeling again, except this time it’s so much better because he just knows even with the bad guys still out there. Even with Aaron’s life hanging in the balance, he knows their future is bright and they can get through anything.

“Hurry” you yell out to Pablo , who for whatever reason wasn’t affected by the rain. He didn’t mind getting wet, possibly even catching a cold, which in reality was probably not likely seeing as it was the middle of summer here in Barcelona. 

Walking up to you, Gavi takes off his jean jacket and drapes it over your figure, his arms pulling you into his side while his lips leave a lingering kiss on the top of your head. 

Unbeknownst to you, a fan captured the little moment on video, the short clip already viral by the time you two get home. 

While the two of you were warming up together in the shower, washing away the rain smell from your bodies, both of your phones were bursting with tags, mentions and people overall gushing over the two of you.

Once the both of you were all dry and dressed, you finally sat down and checked your phones. 

Seeing all the positive comments and edits of the two of you, you turn to Pablo only to have him already looking at you, a smug and cocky grin on his face.

You captured the personality and the dynamic of the characters really well. I can decline on the bathwater but I imagine Miraluka would have tech interfaces to go with custom implants (attachments?) that possibly give them readings like wind and enemy positions while telling the Miraluka this information through ossal vibrations, like those bone-earphones I've seen lately. Perhaps all their blasters come with force crystals to attune to the Miraluka, but since those might be rare, maybe the tech is "attuned" to their force sensitivity instead... either way, smart blasters that don't rely on physical sight but the other senses sound really effective, imagine a gun that's designed to process noise!

All blasters in SW make a loud firing sound despite being lasers, so the design of Miraluka blasters could be built like aerial animal bones to receive and relay these noises and tell this information to the Miraluka. A partially hollow sonic blaster would look very cool...

Ok while all of our hearts are collectively breaking, I wanted to share a little irl story that I think about whenever I reread LTHY. When one of my best friends, who suffers from anxiety, started seeing her now husband, I asked her mom what she thought of him. And she told me she thought he was perfect for my bestie because "he's so patient with her." And that just really stuck with me because that's not a compliment you hear about people, especially men, often. You'd be more likely to hear something like, "he takes such good care of her" or something like that... but patient? What a beautiful thing to be for another person. To be someone who gives someone else the support, time, space, and compassion to work through things on their own. To show them love, respect, and acceptance of who they are.

Anyways, whenever I read LTHY I always think of this moment because Jungkook is just so patient with OC and it really is so beautiful. Despite the tough ending to this most recent chapter, he was so patient with her when he came to pick her up at the mall and as she tried on her outfits. Even as she was fighting with him outside of his parents house, he was so patient and understanding, knowing that it was probably her anxiety and trauma talking. And our poor OC can feel it, and is frustrated by it, hence her screaming "why are you like this?!". Because she doesn't feel like someone who is deserving of patience, so it doesn't make sense to her. But she does deserve it and I hope that eventually she can love herself enough to accept his patience.

Are there things that both OC and Jungkook need to personally work on for the sake of their well-being as well as their relationship? A thousand percent. But what I really want is for OC to stop shaming herself for the way she is. She already feels really badly about herself due to her experience with Jaehwa, but I think an important thing this chapter highlighted was that she's compounding that with feeling horrible about herself for how she's reacted to that trauma and how it affects the way she behaves in her current relationship. She can't erase that trauma from her past completely, so my wish for her is the self-acceptance that she may be just someone who needs a little more assurance and patience while she's working through that trauma.... and more importantly that she's deserving of someone who is willing to accept her with those scars and meet those needs. But until she's receptive to it and feels she's deserving of it, all of the patience in the world won't be enough unfortunately. Giving someone else patience is really extraordinary, but it's even more extraordinary to be accepting of deserving patience.

i definitely agree with you anon!! youre really pointing out some of the few things i really tried to hint at in the chapter! oc says it herself too actually both in the chapter "How even if you tried, he remained patient with you." and here. jk's patience surprises her over and over again. in the end, i think just because of his seemingly unwavering patience jk is able to be so understanding and empathetic towards oc. and its exactly that patience that oc cant accept because of what happened with jaehwa and her. they broke up just like that. there was no time, no patience. she was dropped like a hot potato and told to move on just like that.

i think even more than that its glaringly obvious also that oc never really offers herself any kind of patience. she gets so in her head and critises herself so much, how could she possibly go ahead and accept jk's patience?

both of them have a lot to figure out and i genuinely feel for oc so much because god knows that shes been through enough.

she was so cute and sweet and if i didn’t have a million of them id def take her in. someone texted me that she was a building cat but essentially a stray. so we returned her to the building. and i coincidentally had a friend cancel a spay appointment and that i could even pay for it and asked the girl that first texted me but she couldn’t take care of her. and today this other girl texted me that the first one sent the post to their apartment building complex and told them about the spay. and she found someone to take care of her and everyone is going to chip in to pay for her spay💜💜💜 im so happy about it tbh. i love when people come together to help animals in need😭
