screeches at the top of his lungs if he's there to see it. you know this man is holding your hand while you give birth (he definitely cries with you, does not look at the doctor when they're speaking to him, he's waaaayy too focused on you because this might just be the most important thing that has ever happened in his life.) so when that cranky old asshole snatches your baby from you he's fighting like a rabid dog—gets even worse if you try to soothe him or assure him that bailey means well—your precious baby shouldn't be tainted by the hands of that asshole!

idk. i really hope vrel can let the baby stay in kylar's manor like with alex on the farm. like. surely kylar's parents would love their first grandchild... lotta potential for an event where pc catches one of kylar's parents looming over the side of the manger cooing at their grandchild. like. CMON!!!! make the monster parents loveable pls. i want them to like me :( pls guys i literally want to marry your son :( pls like me even a little bit

but yeah. kylar would be furious. idk if he'd pull a knife in a hospital though, probably didn't bring it with him because even though he knows the doctor is just doing their job he does get a little jealous at their position between your thighs... yeah. he's THAT cringe.

Woah dang, waking up to 99+ notifs on tumblr almost always means that an old Homestuck piece is going around again... imagine my delighted surprise to see it was all notifs about Soli! That was a great thing to wake up to. Felt an actual flutter in my chest. Thank you so much, everyone! And apologies for how Elias' hair keeps subtly changing. You always kind of figure out exactly how a character looks and how to draw them as you go along with sequential art. It, funny enough, largely comes from figuring out their acting (so lots and lots of different angles and features that need to shift/change slightly to carry the weight of looking like they should feel, for lack of a better way to describe it ) At any rate, glad to see people are excited for chapter 3! next update will be next week, and will be a two page spread.

okay I'm thinking about the historical fashion/photographer au. again. damn it.

they go on a vacation and Dream brings his historical clothes (naturally).

cue candid photos of Dream in scenic locations in beautiful clothes. Half of them include Dream covering his face and trying to hide a smile because "Really, Hob, do you ever put your camera down?"

"I don't know, love, do you ever wear modern fashions?"

And he continues taking pictures.

They have a real conversation later about Hob's constant need to take pictures of Dream that essentially boils down to: I see art in everything you do. I am an artist. I have to capture it. If I don't it will eventually drive me mad, and what are you going to do with a mad photographer.

Dream sees the logic in this, and so he wears his one "normal" set of clothes (black jeans he tailored himself (🤢) and like, a black tee shirt), thinking this will give him a break from Hob's incessant photographs, but if anything Hob takes MORE photos that day, because he is completely transfixed by Dream in normal clothes. Dream who wears a fucking 1850s style nightshirt in a tee shirt and jeans? That's art. That's his love looking comfy and dressed down. He takes the pictures because he wants to remember this moment. Because he's in love and he has to.

When Hob explains this Dream can't even pretend to be irritated because he's so smitten.

They go home and have wild, emotional sex and when Dream rifles through the closet to put on his 1850s style nightshirt to go brush his teeth instead of doing the sensible thing and grabbing Hob's easily available button down from the ground, it just makes Hob smile.

#in this canon Hob's shirts will fit big on dream #because I said so #I'm haunted by my own brain #I just want to write the sequel to the letters fic #but the brain. she is having other ideas.#I hate sewing jeans. it feels like several disparate interests have grown so large they've kind of merged into each other and I'm kind of really enjoying exploring this space and learning stuff just for the sake of it
