Why is Starlight the witch of Wine? :0
For the AU we wanted our magic users to have unique skills and titles, and for Starlight I decided on wine for a few reasons.
One reason is that I adapted the Cutie Map episode as a gangster story where Starlight (Stella in our AU) is a crime lord that operates a speakeasy under the guise of a hospitable innkeeper. The AU takes place in the Prohibition Era, so it felt appropriate to associate Stella's character with alcohol/wine after coming up with the story concept.
The other is I wanted Stella's magic to be influenced by negative and intense emotions (much like her show counterpart), and I figured the wine theme adds a visual and specificity. In addition to her magic being powered by emotion, she also has the unique ability to hex food and drinks. We might elaborate more on this when Bix and I have something more solid to put out regarding the AU's magic system.
I want to keep her alcoholism and problematic qualities even after her redemption arc, it makes her really fun to write in my head.

it's amazing how everything is simultaneously overexplained and underexplained. like why didn't they describe the underworld afterlife system? they just namedrop "asphodel" with some vague explanation (and why are they bald trees I'm sorry I could not take that seriously). no jury deciding where you go when you die...they don't introduce the fields of punishment...elysium...isles of the blest...THE RIVER OF STYX...yknow things that are referenced constantly throughout the series. and a fun aspect of the books is the way these elements of greek mythology are written into the modern world/using modern systems (like souls waiting in an EZ line). I always thought the merging of real world/mythological elements was pretty clever in pjo. like where's the fun where's the whimsy

I love how fundamentally lame the captain is. like he's got less than zero swag and it fills my heart with so much joy. he's like if a boring 80 year old man was gay. and dead. and I love him.

"Zeus is the worst guy ever" Zeus is a girl dad who would forgive anything his daughters did. He would wear a cringe looking bracelet if young Athena made him one. He would personally electrocute a man laying hand on Artemis. He would sit through all of the embarrassing lengthy poetry competitions Apollo is in. He would literally give his children everything—

I just noticed, in your HHStargazers AU no one has pupils - except for Alastor and, if she's canon, Carmilla. Does that mean slit pupils are a sign of a demon in disguise?
Good eye! 👈👈👀 (Pun unintended.) Though I don't really plan for this trait to be repeatedly shared amongst the disguised demons. Mostly to not limit my designs to an obvious tell. But the slit pupils were indeed intentional flaws I added in for those two in particular. Because according to MY headcanon, both angels and demons are beings beyond human comprehension. Thus, it's only to be expected that even when they TRY to fit in, they'll be unable to keep EVERY aspect of their uncanny nature concealed. At best, they're imperfect imitations of what "normal" should be. It just so happens that in my AU, angels have a much easier time concealing most of their little quirks and oddities away than the sinners for my own reasons and as for WHY no one ever grew suspicious of the eye thing, it's because Charlie's curiosity could be easily curved. While for Lucius to point this out, he'll have to admit that he's been staring at Alastor's eyes a lot whenever he gets close enough to drown in the depths of his gaze and- EHEM!!! Which he's NEVER done, mind you! AhahaHAH- What slit pupils??? Never noticed those before. Nuh-uh. NO siree. NOPE! Lucius is normally so, SO normal about Alastors VERY much normal eyes in a TOTALLY normal amount of normal. A-ANYWAAAYS!!! Lucius would also be a hypocrite if he was bothered by them considering his own occupation and the people he's usually surrounded by (yet to be revealed). As for the other humans, Alastor doesn't care enough about their opinions for it to be a threat to him and people often just avoid the guy unnerving them with his creepy ass stare. So it's all good! Hope you like these bonus fun facts! 'Cause I have a feeling I left you with just as much questions as answers, but that's the fun of an ongoing story, yeah? Stay tuned~! 😉✨️ -Bubbly💙

the reason why loumand will always be perfect is bcus Louis and Armand will both be each other’s other women at the same time. they r literally both 🎶“I’m sorry I can’t take your touch, it’s not that I don’t want you, sorry I don’t want your touch, it’s just that I fell in love with a war and nobody told me it ended”🎶/ref like mutually in sync simultaneously. Often times about the same annoying blonde man!! Who for Armand was also!! A band aid he was trying to shove up his bullet hole!! To fill the void that was left by literally another blonde man who dictates every rebound for the rest of his life. They both watched their blonde man die <3 ! They r both trying to find the same thing in the other that neither of them possess <3
