I just noticed that I forgot to post about Good Omens season 2.

The series "Good Omens" is based on the work of Pratchett and Gaiman. The second season offers a continuation of the adventures of an angel and a demon who face new challenges, including the disappearance of the archangel Gabriel, which may lead to a new apocalypse. New characters, interesting plots and funny moments make this season exciting, but there are some confusing plots and jokes, which may not be to everyone's taste.

'evil'/anti artstyle meme! inspired by excessive-moisture's post doing this same thing!!! i showed it to my friends and asked them to give out my own art traits and basically a list of things i should not do.

the result is this art style! soft colors, less purples, very round and soft, thin lines + no line weight, no trademark things like how i draw fur and mouths PLUS slightly different desighs to fit the style more! (for example spamton being drawn more like his shop sprite)

i drew several characters i'm known to draw a lot / mean a lot to me just to see them how different they are from when i draw them normally! HURTS to not have an oversaturated drawing, uegugh.... but coloring was the most fun part! i love working with colors! the worst part was the lineart because i got SO BORED. fun challenge anyway!

little explanations on each character under the cut since this is a multifandom + ocs post and i wanna short talk about my silly guys ever (my, what the kids call these days, blorbos,)

since this has multiple characters not everyone may be familiar with, here's a tiny bit of info on everyone

frostbite = my fursona! they're a bat / dragon mix. they're holding a mango! nothing much to say since they're just my sona. me, y'know?

spamton = you know him! it's spamton from deltarune chapter 2 !! he's a shopkeeper and a secret boss in the game where he appears in his 'NEO' form. he's based on scam e-mails and ads!

my freak of a son = toontown corporate clash oc - he's a goopy low baller that i call my son. or rather, toontown version of frostbite and i call him their son. regular frostbite as shown in this image and frostbite are separate. he was made using one of high roller's attacks.

scratch = my deltarune sona and self insert! they're the fourth member of sweet cap'n cakes. they're a dj! they're inspired by cat headphones, soundboards and karaoke machines! they're who this blog is named after :P

high roller = from toontown corporate clash! he is a cog 'manager' who only appears during a yearly event 'april toons'. she is a show host and a fusion of two characters ('dave brubot' and 'buck ruffler'). it's show is also the boss fight you fight when they're around!

cathal = full name cathal ray toby bravecog aka the multislacker, also from toontown corporate clash. he is a manager you can fight in-game after completing a set of 'kudos' tasks. they are the VP's son and are based on crt tvs! they're known for being 'lazy'.

blank = (full name blank b. addison) a deltarune oc for my big deltarune au named datapack au. he is an addison who got corrupted by a swatchling mask - which is a new concept introduced in my au. he used to sell movie related trinkets and was a stand-up comedian.

okay here me out guys

i legit have like a scenario (aka a fic that we have written out but have yet to publish anywhere) where essentially benjamin starts "befriending" winn out of spite/jealousy (tldr; gets jealous of brian hanging out with mac so is like "fine i'm gonna hang out with this mouse toon instead") but then it turns into trust as the two end up bonding

and so benjamin ends up teaching her how to box!!

also benjamin accidentally looks like the "let's take ibuprofen together" meme without winn in front of him lol

haunting of hill house (for my psychosis sisters). i liked the tv adaptation more than others but its just totally different thematically and as an experience

its a pamphlet not a fiction book but valerie solanas' SCUM manifesto is such an enthralling read, i really loved it. make sure to look into it a bit because valerie was a very angry person plus it was the 70s so it can read as offensive esp towards trans women

shows....... i loved interview with the vampire ^_^ i havent watched tv in so long omg i also dont remember any of it off the top of my head. well nothing that isnt kind of shit. oo i liked garth marenghi's darkplace and if youre a fan of what we do in the shadows, the spinoff show wellington paranormal is fun if you wanna hear new zealand accents (we sound funny)

anime: mob psycho 100 greatest anime of all time its three seasons its complete its perfect. keep your hands of eizouken is a great single-season anime that is just such a love letter to animation and looks so cool with great female characters (esp compared to other anime girls). oddtaxi is another great single season of anime, dont look up spoilers.

Howdy Caroline, I saw a post about Talk shop Tuesday so I thought I'd be nosy on main. I wonder, how does research factor into your fic writing, and what was the most taxing research you had to do for a fic? 🐸

oooh hi, iva!!! thank you so much for shooting the ask--god knows i always love talking about fic!

to answer your question: i think most of my fic-related research is limited to "what episode did character x do this/say that", just so that i have the timeline of events down. i know it's not the end of the world if i don't perfectly remember how a certain scene went down, but i can't help it--i like being precise when it comes to at least recalling canon events.

outside of that specific brand of research (just making sure my timeline/recitation of quotes is all set), i'll sometimes do wilder research for like ... au projects that are set in a different time. that doesn't happen often (i think the reason why i tend not to write au's that are set other than present day is specifically because i get overwhelmed by the amount of research to be done), but when it does, i'm usually stuck researching for hours. that's probably why i just never got around to posting this one period jwds au i have. the plot keeps shifting, mostly to suit the research that i've done. deep sigh. one day i swear i'll finish writing that story and post it, but right now it's just gotten a little away from me. it's marinating.

outside of that story though, i think i've been lucky enough to not need to do too much research for fics . . . maybe that'll change one day (especially if i ever fall in love with a more period-drama-esque story), but ! ! ! as of now, i think my research time really only takes up 10 - 15% of my fic writing process.

"Good Omens" is a series based on the novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, about a demon and an angel who try to prevent the coming of the Antichrist. This is a funny and exciting story with great characters and important themes.

the whole positive attitude towards the barbie movie is kinda confusing to me because i understand that stylistically a lot of those things are “in” right now as reactionary pushback against the kind of so-called feminism that condemns the enjoyment of “girly” things but…. i mean why are we all suddenly stanning a big obvious money-grabbing advert disguised as a piece of feminist cinematography? a few years ago people HATED fashion dolls because of their perpetuation of societal beauty standards. and they didn’t like mattel.

please, i feel like i’m missing something, can someone explain what’s going on? why is barbie different to all the other big-budget money-maker movies?
