the video version gets posted and part of it is alessia just rocking Lovie back and forth and bouncing her to calm her down

alessia could already tell that filming todays episode of the tooney and russo show was going to be a difficult one. not because of the topic of conversation, but because today all you wanted was to be by your mummy's side.

usually when alessia was filming the podcast it would be around the time of your mid day nap however today was an early start, the girls hoping to film a couple episodes in the short time that ella was down in london for.

"lovie, come on. i need you to stay here while mummy films with auntie ella and vick" alessia tried the soft approach hoping it would help to peel you from her arms.

"no." you mumbled your grip getting tighter as a few sniffles came from you, alessia sitting herself on one of the many colourful seats in the bbc studio. hoping that you would soothe, there still being a few minutes before filming was supposed to begin.

"hey less, is she asleep?" ella smiled as she pointed to you. alessia giving her best friend a look that said it all as she shook her head.

"she won't let me put her down" alessia whispered a small sigh coming from her as ella nodded sitting down next to her best friend.

"tiny?" ella tried as she tapped your small shoulder a small whine coming from you as you dug your head further into your mummy's body.

"tiny i need to tell you something it's really important!" ella tried again, as you peeled your face slightly from alessia's shoulder, the top of you head poking out your eyebrows furrowed together, ella being able to guess that there was a frown on your lips but she couldn't see it due to the lower half of your face being hidden.

"listen, how about after we've done all this boring adult things we go to that desert place that your mummy has told me all about and i know you love the waffles from there!" ella smiled as you were in the middle of thinking, but nodding your head slowly. you did really like the waffles from there.

"but you have to let go of mummy so we can do the boring adult things yeah?" ella added as you were now a little unsure. you just wanted to go back to sleep in the comfort of your mummy's arms.

you nodded slightly apprehensive but still loosening your grip as alessia made the move to sit you down in the usual area where you'd sit, on a beanbag with alessia's phone watching a series of cartoons.

alessia carefully walking away as if, if she made one wrong step that you would start to cry, ella and vick already say in their respective seats awaiting alessia to come so filming could begin.

alessia picking up her iced coffee and sitting down, the cameras started rolling.

"hello everyone! welcome to the—" vick got half way through her sentence before you started to cry, throwing the phone in your hand out and onto the hard ground. a small sigh coming from alessia as she passed her iced coffee to ella to put on the small table next to her.

alessia moving quickly to get you and soothe you. "it's okay lovie" your mummy cooed as you hid your head in her neck. alessia moving back towards the couch as she rubbed a hand up and down your back to soothe your small sniffles.

"she can just sit there y'know?" ella commented as vick hummed in agreement with ella, alessia looking up to the pair debating her options as she knew it would be filmed and while she didn't mind you being on social media she didn't want you to have a lot of exposure to it as a result of your young age.

"lovie are you gonna sit in your special seat?" alessia whispered as she felt you shake your head.

"no. wan be with mummy" you mumbled as both vick and ella looked at each other with a pout at your cuteness of being an all round mummy's girl. alessia admitted defeat and placed you in a more relaxed position in her arms knowing you would more than likely go back to sleep during the recording.

"looks like she's joining the pod for today!"

"hello, and welcome to the tooney and russo show with me vick hope and i am here with football's most famous friends! ella toone and alessia russo!" vick smiled making sure to add her clap and woo into the end of the intro like she did every episode. finally getting a good intro where you hadn’t interrupted or she hadn’t stumbled over her words.

"and for those who are watching on youtube you will be able to see special guest to the episode today and that is alessia's mini me, who is currently sat cuddling into alessia for those who are listening" vick explained as alessia hummed trying to get you to say a small hello however you were having none of it.

"i- she's drifting off back to sleep" alessia smiled stroking a finger over your cheek as your eyes were fluttering shut but then opening again a few seconds later.

"i mean i don't blame her!" ella giggled, as both alessia and vick hummed in agreement.

"yeah, we should clarify it's a very early recording session, it's seven in the morning" vick began as she also held a coffee in her hand.

"it's not great for me or for tiny clearly!" ella gestured towards you at your sleepy form as you were half asleep but were fidgeting with the string on your mummy's jumper.

a small laugh coming from both alessia and vick who both held cups of coffee in there hands. "no it's not great for ella as unlike me and alessia she doesn't drink coffee"

"but she is going to try it aren't you" alessia smiled in ella direction swirling the straw making the ice clank against the side of the cup.

"more like your gonna force it down my neck" ella complained into the mic. "yeah but it's a really nice coffee!" alessia tried to convince her best friend holding the coffee out for ella to try.

"less you do it all the time, and each time i never like it and it leaves a horrible taste in my mouth-"

"you've got sweets over there" alessia pointed out as you head perked up a little at the sound of sweets being on the go.

"what haribos at seven in morning" ella raised her eyebrows a small giggle came from alessia as she nodded. you tapping your mummy's arm as ella tried the coffee.

"me have a sweetie?" you ask with a tired look on your face as your mummy sat and thought about it for a second before nodding. waiting for ella to stop her dramatics before asking her to pass the sweet jar.

"has it got any better" vick questioned, as ella shook her head. "it's creamier but other than that it's rank-"

"tooney pass the sweet jar!" alessia tapped ella on the shoulder just like you had done moments ago, as she side eyed the blonde, "you said you didn't want any sweets before-"

"there not for me! for lovie!" alessia pointed out as you small smile came from you as you waited for the sweets to get to you.  your mummy handing you the jar as you looked up at her as she nodded her head motioning for you to choose what you wanted.

"i get two?" you asked quietly, alessia humming as she looked down at you picking your two sweets out, yes you probably shouldn't be having sweets this early in the morning but there was expectations like today.

"so i think we've discovered you both definitely aren't morning people" vick points out as both ella and alessia shook their head.

"no definitely not, i used to be worse when i was younger though. my mum used to leave me for hours before she spoke to me- but i've gotten better with age" ella smiled proudly at herself as alessia chuckled, ella definitely not being the best person in the morning to talk to.

"i mean i feel like you would think i was a morning person because of lovie but i don't know who made that stupid rumour that having a child makes you a morning person because it definitely doesn't." alessia complained, looking down at you to check you were okay. you still drifting in and out of sleep.

"yeah i can imagine your up early on a mornings no?" vick questions as alessia firmly shakes her head.

"some mornings i am obviously when i've got training, but i would say i lie in for me is about eight am. i usually get woken up by her jumping on top of me or lovie will just sit and tap me on the arm"

ella started laughing as both vick and alessia snap their attention towards the brunette, "no sorry but do you remember on england camp when-" ella started but couldn't get the rest out cause she was laughing.

"oh i wanna hear this now"

"tooney!"

"no, we was on england camp and alessia had fallen asleep and tiny wanted you for something but alessia had taken so long to wake up that by that point she'd forgotten what she was gonna ask-" ella managed to get in between laughs.

"but she was sat there for a least thirty minutes tapping you lightly on the arm and then alessia woke up in a proper bad mood cause she'd slept through her alarm"

"oh bless her, what is it like having your daughter with you on camp? cause i can imagine it may be difficult?" vick asked as alessia hummed into the mic, one hand on your back tracing shapes in your back as the other was still holding her iced coffee.

"i mean it can be difficult especially when we are travelling a lot and for her being so young it's can be hard but no the staff at england and arsenal are so good and always make sure that she's okay as well as the players" alessia commented, as she felt you kick your legs out getting yourself more comfy in alessia's arms.

"but all the girls love her so she loves being there. it always a struggle trying to drop her off at nursery as she would rather be with me at arsenal with the girls"

"and which you wouldn’t believe looking at her right now but she's a proper chatter box, less always says she gets that off me-" ella rolls her eyes, throwing a glare at the blonde sat across the couch from her. alessia shaking her head. "i disagree, i think she gets it from you-"

"every time i've seen her here she always so quiet and calm" vick smiles, shocked at the fact that your so chatty when every time she's seen you you've just always been so quiet but she had only seen you twice before today. you usually being at nursery when filming was taking place.

"oh she's anything but quiet and calm"

the podcast carried on, the girls talking about england camp as a whole and what they get up to in their spare time when they are not training, as well as answering fan questions about if they could be a kitchen appliance which one and why. that starting a whole debate.

while you say content as long as you were in close proximity of your mummy, one slight wrong more and you were whining for her. alessia soothing you throughout the recording, as you stayed in her arms.

the podcast taking another turn talking about nicknames as a fan had asked who had the worst nickname in the squad, the girls not being able to pick one. it leading to a question from vick.

"i've noticed that you have your own little nickname for y/n which isn't tiny like all the other girls call her. and I'm just curious as to why it's that?" vick asks as alessia lets out a little laugh into the mic as ella turns her head so she's facing alessia too.

"you know what i've always wondered this too-" ella points out, now realising that she's known you for years and doesn't know the reason behind your mums nickname for you.

"to be honest it's not really an exciting story as it may sound but she was born on february 14th which is valentine's day but also she's my little love so it just fits i guess and nobody else picked up on calling her that just me, like even my family call her tiny so" alessia explained as vick hummed, ella sat as she processed what alessia had said before humming understanding now the reason behind your nickname.

"but if anyone else apart from less tries to call her lovie she wont answer them. so that's probably why nobody else calls her lovie" ella pointed out as alessia nodded her head before whispering a true to back up what ella had just said.

"really does she not?" vick was surprised by that but could also understand why.

"yeah, watch-" ella whispered, turning towards you as you were playing with your mummy's phone on the camera app, you not exactly being an expert in photography more taking photos of your forehead or the side of your face. you just liking the feel of pressing the white button, as you were in your own little world.

"lovie, look what i've got" ella tried as she tapped your shoulder, you not paying any attention as you continued to play with your mummy's phone.

"right now you try!" ella pointed to alessia as she looked down at you, a small giggle coming from your mum as she watched you take a photo of the side of your face.

"lovie, do you want a snack?" your mummy asked as you looked up, nodding your head. stretching your small body as your arms reached up with your mums phone in your hands. being very close to hitting your mummy in the face as she grabbed your phone out of your hand.

"see-" ella said smugly as she looked over towards vick who was pleasantly surprised, "wow, they have such a cute mother daughter relationship though. it's adorable" vick pouted as ella nodded, alessia in the process of sitting you back on her lap with a packet of breakfast snacks.

it obvious to anyone watching how much alessia cared about you. the rest of the episode was filmed. alessia having to take the occasional break to rock you in her arms when you started to whine.

but when the episode aired, the comments were filled with wanting you to join your mummy and the pod every episode and even some wanting to do a episode dedicated to you when you were in the mood to talk.

the rest of the comments were filled with nice comments about how good a mother alessia was and the cute relationship she had with you and how gentle and caring she was.

the fans were hooked, you had said less than ten words in the entire podcast but as always you had stolen the show.

so this is how blood & cheese should have went down if hotd had actual good writers: the plotline starts with rhaenyra wailing and sobbing over luke's death on dragonstone. daemon tries to console her as much as he can stand to do so. she tells him that she wants them dead, every single last one of those traitors. daemon grins of course, because this is how he raised her to be: a vengeful, spoiled, hateful, vindictive monster (he has been grooming her since she was 8 years old to hate her half-siblings after all). the next scene in this plotline would have us see to daemon and mysaria in bed together in harrenhal, where he painstakingly details out what he wants her to do exactly. he gives not just mysaria, but us, the viewers, word for word the sequence of events that he wants to happen on the night of the assassination. we the viewers are deeply horrified by his orders, because what he orders is monstrous. book readers would be kept on their toes, because surely the show would change this event in some ways, right? daemon describing it exactly as it was in the book has to be a red herring right?, is what they would be thinking. and show-only watchers would be on the edge of their seats wondering throughout the entirety of the episode if something so horrific would actually take place on screen. both book readers and show watchers would be left with the question of, is this seriously what's going to happen? no fucking way..., when watching the episode unfold. the next scenes concerning the plotline would be mysaria hiring blood and cheese, a scene or two establishing their characters, them getting intel on where helaena and the kids will be, talking about how difficult it would be to break into maegor's holdfast bc of all the guards so the only option is the tower of the hand ... and then eventually night falls over king's landing and we are in the red keep. we'll be near the end of the episode, like the last 15 minutes, and we follow cheese as he leads blood through the tunnels to the tower of the hand where alicent's room is. earlier in the ep we learned helaena always takes the kiddos there to say goodnight to grandma. they sneak into the room where they strangle her maid, kill the guards in front of the door quietly, and beat alicent until she's knocked out and they tie her up and gag her so she cannot be heard. then cheese goes to stand next to the door in preparation for helaena's arrival, while blood sits on a sofa facing the door. the next scenes would be focused on helaena as she gathers the kiddos to go from maegor's holdfast to the tower of the hand, and we are getting eerie, dark gothic grunge vibes from the camera shots as she gets these weird premonitions, shivers crawling up her spine. but she still goes to the tower of the hand, while the viewers would be screaming and yelling and crying and sobbing at the tv begging her not to go there. but helaena goes anyway because this is a canon event baby. i told you in the beginning of the episode what was going to happen :^) and then it happens exactly as described in both f&b and earlier in the ep by daemon. the beheading would of course not be shown but i would have jaehaerys' blood spray all over helaena and alicent while she does the ellaria scream and alicent is crying unable to do anything bc her hands are bound behind her back and she has a gag in her mouth. the final few shots of the episode would be in slow motion (all the while you hear helaena's screams) as the entire red keep hears this harrowed shrieking and so the guards and the maids and the servants all run to alicent's rooms and we see the pools of blood underneath everyone's feet as they go in and out of the room then finally we come to the last shot of the episode which is aegon's frightened face as he slowly walks through the chaos, puts his hand on the slightly closed door, pushes it open (all the while we hear helaena's unending screams), and he quietly says, "jaehaerys?" roll credits.

that's how you write and adapt a fucking book scene @ ryan condal & co you pieces of worthless shit.

highlights from "searching for oswald...and chicken"

wow I loved this episode...I feel like I say that every time but I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this one

first of all its a Dagur episode, which automatically makes it great...most of the screenshots I took are of him. Honestly all of his dialogue is very quotable, especially since so many of the jokes they give him are thinly veiled adult humour

also the B plot with chicken was certainly something (and makes me think the writers were thinking about the end of the hidden world while writing it?)

ok so the beginning of the episode was already tugging at my heartstrings. I love seeing Dagur and Heather's sibling relationship, whether hey're arguing or getting along.

Well that's deeply upsetting! and the fact that he said "most of his life" makes me wonder how much of the confidence Dagur displayed as a teenager was a cover for whatever he was dealing with internally.

The part where Dagur hugs Heather and she looks happy but almost surprised was very bittersweet. It seems like she's still getting used to having a family, and affection catches her off guard.

This is funny but also very upsetting! Snotlout and Dagur really make a habit of using humourous line delivery to cope with being deeply unwell:

*clears throat* uh yeah Dagur, I'm sure you do love a good "fruit bath," from time to time if you know what I mean...

Come on, the writers, animators and voice actor HAVE to have known that line came across as suggestive. Like the way he sounds? His facial expression? They may not have intended it to specifically imply he was talking about getting in a sauna with some twinks, but it certainly sounded like something sensual was going on.

Also I didn't get a shot of this but when Dagur starts listing adjectives to describe Heather's reckless behaviour, Hiccup says "Sentinel" while looking at Oswald's journal. Dagur says something like "that's not quite the word I'd use," which makes me think Dagur was going to call her a not so PG word...

Snotlout staring directly at the camera while narrating Tuffnut's emotional breakdown in the style of a pun-loving mystery novelist:

What an asshole (I love him). there's something really funny about Tuff leaning against the tree with a hand on his hip. Poor guy. Astrid and Stormfly were clearly less amused than I was.

Ok let's talk about Hiccup motivating Dagur to open the door to Oswald's shelter. My little Dagcup heart was really soaring here. And look at the lighting!

Oooohh man, Dagur expressing guilt about his past and Hiccup trying to help him through it also really got to me.

Dagur: I was a villain!

Hiccup: No, you were a kid

Because yeah, Dagur in Riders of Berk/Defenders of Berk did horrible things, but he was also enabled by all the adults in his life who could have stepped up after Oswald left. I've already written (both in posts and in one of my Dagcup fics) about how being thrown into a dungeon as a kid only made Dagur a worse person (no one in the show talks about the scars on his face that weren't there before...). And There is clearly an opportunity for restorative justice when it comes to characters like Alvin and Eret that wasn't extended to Dagur despite the fact that they had already overpowered him and could have at least given him a choice between punishment and trying to make up for his actions. Anyway...let me not rant about that anymore.

Before the episode where Fishlegs helps Dagur fly Shattermaster, I would have assumed Dagur would make fun of Fishlegs for being a nerd -- but instead he appreciates it. I think their friendship is super adorable, and I wish we got to see more of it.

The Muppets Present: The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals

based on @the-muppets-present. saw their rule list and felt inspired. might do the other hatchetfield shows later if i feel so inclined :)

i just felt like the story of “average office worker who hates musicals gets trapped in a musical” was just begging to be muppetified.

so, without further ado,

ted- guys i went through so many options for ted. it was immediately hard. eventually i decided on rizzo, because i feel like similarly to ted, he’s kind of an asshole that causes problems for himself and everyone around him. plus, the “kick my head!” scene is even funnier if ted is like. one foot tall.

bill- kermit. i think kermit can and should be a sad dad. bill is like the most earnest man in hatchetfield and the idea of kermit being deeply disappointed that his friend won’t help him reconnect with his estranged daughter because he hates musicals so much is so funny to me.

professor hidgens- gonzo. duh. camilla is alexa. gonzo is the most eccentric bitch in the cast and would 100% kill people to get his musical produced. imagine gonzo shouting “come on you bastard!” at the apocalypse. gonzo would get struck by lightning and climb out of a pile of his friends’ bodies. he just would.

charlotte- miss piggy. stay with me here. from a meta standpoint, i always find it funny when piggy plays the secondary female role in a muppet movie and gets annoyed about it in interviews. from a character standpoint, post-infection charlotte’s high energy would be great to see if it was performed by the one and only piggy. imagine miss piggy singing join us and die. imagine the beginning part. she just beats the shit out of rizzo. gonzo shoots her.

mr. davidson- fozzie. idk i just got a mental image of him putting the newspaper down like jeff blim does at the beginning of the song and then fucking. waggling his ears.

sam- this one was hard because i had to think of you tied up my heart and show me your hands. i eventually picked link hogthrob. sam’s a pig, link’s a pig, etc.

alice- janice. hear me out. it’s not just because she’s “the other girl muppet.” imagine if alice just looked at bill and went “whatever, man” and walked away. truthfully thinking more about watcher world than tgwdlm for this one.

paul- jon matteson. paul stays the same, babeyyy. i think it just adds another fucking layer to his panic because not only is everyone randomly singing around him, they’re fucking muppets. just imagine la dee dah dah day if he was surrounded by muppets. he’s just some guy in a weird situation, and just some guy he shall stay.*

emma- lauren lopez. so i am breaking the number one rule of muppetfication to keep emma the same, but there’s a method to my goddamn madness. the only person paul can relate to in hatchetfield is the one other human being. plus, again, imagine the end of inevitable with emma screaming and crying while surrounded by fucking muppets.

*so i lied. just some guy he shall not stay. when inevitable starts, you first hear paul’s voice. he’s singing, just like he does in the show. emma very quietly goes “paul?” the same way, too. but what’s different is you can’t see paul. the camera pans over.

paul is a muppet.

he’s one of the lookalike ones, like from the first two episodes of the show and the jason segel one from the 2011 muppet movie.

I knew it.... I don't like Hina HAHA. Like, I get her, but you really left Nina just like that huh?

I love the moments where Momoka gets all serious/mature mode

Momoka apologizing.... seeing everyone getting shocked about it.... Honestly, this one broke my heart a bit. Momoka, who had lost all self-confidence, had rebuilt it very slowly because of Nina's and everyone else's trust in her.

So, seeing the song that was made by her with the members in mind not doing well must be a blow to that fragile confidence yet again. She was guilty that she let everyone down.

Everyone is tired (affectionate) of Nina's outbursts while Momoka looks awestruck... Of course, we will add this to the album of the Momoka Gayze (tm) but I think this is also related to her self-confidence.

I just said that Momoka felt guilty and like how Momoka blew Nina away in Ep. 1, Nina's outburst blew her away in a way that no, no one was blaming Momoka for their failure and the person that she is closest to still believes and trusts in her.

That awestruck gaze, admiring Nina's confidence and unwavering belief for her and the group. To the song. To their decision and that they weren't wrong. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but let me be lmao.

Okay, now for GBC as a whole: I adore this show so fucking much. I didn't expect to fall in love with the show when I started watching it, but man. I am so glad that I didn't wait for this to finish and got to wait each week for a new episode with everyone.

Personally, the ending was okay. It feels like it's just the beginning, so it didn't feel like an ending ending. Idk how to explain it. It just.... it's like not everything has been concluded.

Regarding momonina: I am not surprised that nothing happened on camera. But with all the subtext and hints, I will take it. Sure, I wished they addressed the confession more openly, but you can't win it all.

Overall, this is my anime of the season, possibly anime of the year, and definitely one of my all time favorites. Maybe I'll make a post about the ED (since it's an epilogue), about momonina, or my fave moments throughout the season but we'll see haha.

For context, I am a major swiftie and love Cobra Kai so much that I've written a fanfic with an OC named Zion. If you're interested it's on Wattpad, titled Cold Hearted, and my username there is the same as here. 

Anyway, I listen to this album and can't help thinking about Cobra Kai characters while I do.

Here are my thoughts. Feel free to add on if you wish!

Cobra Kai (CK): SamRobby. They were so shortlived and this is especially relevant if we go with the plot of Sam looking at Robby during the prom episode: “Your wife waters flowers. I wanna kill her.”

The Tortured Poets Department

Cobra Kai (CK): Amanda and Daniel because she always keeps it real with him: “This ain’t the Chelsea Hotel. We’re two idiots.”

Cold Hearted (CH): Elion (Eli and Zion) at the end of season 2 based on when he says he’ll be with her forever but this is from his POV: “At dinner you take my ring off my middle finger and put it on the one people put wedding rings on, and that’s the closest I’ve come to my heart exploding.”

My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys:

Cobra Kai (CK): Tory with Kreese (obviously not romantically) as he manipulates her but kind of cares: “I’m queen of sandcastles he destroys.”

Cold Hearted (CH): It’s the same but with Zion: “Once I fix me, he’s gonna miss me.” (Foreshadowing for season 6?)

Down Bad

CK and CH: Robby, because all I can think about is at the beginning of season 4 when he was lifting weights and debating leaving: “Now I’m down bad crying at the gym. Everything comes out teenage petulance.”

So Long, London

CK: I’m trying to make this one fit, but honestly none of the relationships are long-term and unhealthy enough (that I can think of?) in this show to really fit Taylor’s heartbreaking writing for this song. Even finding one for Cold Hearted is difficult.

CH: I feel like this can be Zion mourning the loss of Santa Maria and in part her mom with everything suddenly in her past when she can’t take the abuse anymore. But this song isn’t really about abuse. I’d come at it more from the idea of losing the good parts of a childhood home and her moving on despite what her dad may have wanted for her. Maybe.: “I’m just mad as hell ‘cause I loved this place for so long, London. Had a good run.”

But Daddy I Love Him

CK: Okay, so if I had to choose I’d say this applies to season 1 Samiguel with the whole Daniel hating Miguel by association with Johnny: “Even my daddy just loves him.”

CH: I think it fits Zion and Jess well by illustrating their coming out. I know it’s not necessarily queer song and is written from the lens of a massive superstar sick of everyone weighing in on her life, but it also captures the drama of being in high school and being gay in high school specifically. It also works for Tory and Piper who are girlfriends in CH: “I’ll tell you something right now. I’d rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this bitchin’ and moanin’.”

Fresh Out the Slammer

CK: I’d say this fits Tory and Robby, but instead of the slow burn with them in the parole office I’d say this applies to Tory’s escape in season 5 episode 10 when she meets up with Robby after finally breaking free from Silver and kisses him: “Camera flashes, welcome bashes, get the matches, toss the ashes off the ledge… I will never lose my baby again.”

CH: Zobby (Robby and Zion), if that wasn’t obvious from reading the later chapters of my season 4: “Now pretty baby I’m running back home to you. Fresh out the slammer I know who my first call will be to.”

Florida!!!

CK and CH: Miguel running away at the beginning of season 5 to Mexico: “I need to forget so take me to Florida. I’ve got some regrets I’ll bury them in Florida.”

CK: for shits and giggles this one is Silver. Just for the fact that he’s arrested as of season 5’s finale teehee.

CH: Zion because she never cheated!: “Without ever touching his skin how can I be guilty as sin?”

Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?

CK and CH: Literally any woman on the show! ANY! But if I had to choose it’d be the main 3 (Tory, Sam, and Zion): “‘cause you lured me and you hurt me and you taught me. You caged me, and then you called me crazy. I am what I am ‘cause you trained me.”

I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)

CK: Idk the Lawrusso shipper in me thinks this fits for them specifically in early season 4 when they try to work together and fail. Or when Kreese finds Silver and brings out the PTSD again: “Whoa, maybe I can’t.”

CK: I feel like if Johnny knew Taylor’s deep cuts he’d listen to this and think about Alli idk: “We embroidered the memories of the time I was away, stitching, ‘We were just kids, babe.’”

CH: Again it feels like an Elion (Eli and Zion) song but this time from Zion’s POV after he said they’d be together forever: “You shit talked me under the table, talking rings and talking cradles. I wish I could recall how we almost had it all.”

CK: Tory saying “I broke up with him because of this dojo, you bitch!” Yep. That’s her.: “Try and come for my job.”

CH: I feel like overall this also applies to Zion taking shit and just training through it: “I cry a lot, but I am so productive. It’s an art.”

The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived

CK: Tory with Silver after she learns about his involvement with Stingray's assault and the All Valley cheating: “You kicked out the stage lights but you're still performing.”

CH: The same with Zion and Silver but arguably worse: “And in plain sight you hid, but you are what you did, and I’ll forget you but I’ll never forgive.”

The Alchemy

CK: Lawrusso isn’t technically canon (yes it is), but if they were this is a cute song for them. I can’t really explain it, so you either get it or you don’t: “‘cause the sign in your heart says it’s still reserved for me. Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”

CH: Teehee this is self-indulgent but it’s Zobby (Zion and Robby): “Ditch the clowns get the crown. Baby, I’m the one to beat.”

CK: From Daniel to Sam to Anthony for the LaRusso legacy: “Them’s the breaks. They don’t come gently.”

CH: From Aisha/ Zion to Zion/Tory to Devon for the Cobra Kai girl’s legacy: “You’ve got edge; she never did. The future’s bright. Dazzling.”

CK and CH: Robby about Sam while he’s in prison and she’s training at Miyagi-Do without him: “Old habits die screaming.”

CK: It’s about the Miyagi-Do legacy Daniel passes to Sam and Robby OR Johnny explaining how to handle the trauma of Cobra Kai to the young Cobras: ”You were sleeping soundly when they dragged you from your bed, and I tried to warn you about them.”

CH: It can also be from Daniel to Zion about redemption and forgiveness after breaking free from Silver’s Cobra Kai and coming to Miyagi-Do: “I’ll tell you how I’ve been there, too, and that none of it matters.”

Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus

CK: Oddly enough I think pre-CK Shannon would find this song drunk and think about Johnny. She’d always wonder if he could have been there for her and loved her like he is now with Carmen. Maybe that’s a stretch: “Will I always wonder?”

CH: I feel like Robby for the brief part of season 5 when he leaves Zion he’d relate to this song: “You needed me but you needed drugs more. And I couldn’t watch it happen.”

How Did It End?

CK: Sam because her relationships are everywhere and each breakup - Kyler, Miguel, and Robby - is such a massive thing in high school: “It’s happening again.”

CH: This also applies to Zion because there are so many rumors about her. I’d say in the beginning/ early parts of season 3 is when this is most applicable: “‘Didn’t you hear they called it all off?’ One gasp and then, ‘How did it end?’”

So High School:

CK: I believe Carmen feels So High School with Johnny, despite me not being a Jarmen shipper. I just think about that little dream she had and want the best for her. Just like this song is the best: "You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her."

CH: Zion about Gabi, her former enemy who outed her in Santa Maria: “'Cause all that time you were throwing punches it was all for nothing.”

I Look In People’s Windows:

CK: I think about season one Miguel going over to the LaRusso's house and seeing Robby eating dinner with them when I hear this song. He jumped to conclusions and got drunk angrily without communicating to Sam, too: "So I look in people's windows like I'm some deranged weirdo. I attend Christmas parties from outside. I look in people's windows in case you're at their table."

CK and CH: What if I just say everyone at one point has related to this song? I'd be absolutely right.

CK: Tory because she is cursed with knowing Silver cheated without being able to do anything about it, she warns Daniel and he gets hurt, and then Kreese abandons her while she struggles to even stay at the dojo: “So they killed Cassandra first ‘cause she feared the worst and tried to tell the town.”

CK: Kumiko with Daniel for obvious reasons. I do love them.: “You said you were gonna grow up then you were gonna come find me.”

CH: Zion because she keeps running away when things are scary as a trauma response - for example with Miguel’s fall and Silver’s attack: “Ended with the slam of a door then he’ll call her a whore, wish he wouldn’t be sore, but as she was leaving it felt like breathing.”

CK: This songs reminds me of that one scene that shows a flashback of Daniel training Sam in Miyagi-Do when she was young: "Way to go, Tiger. Higher and higher. Wilder and lighter. For you."

CH: Zion to Ella in season 3 as she teaches her and tries to protect her from the world: “You’ll learn to bounce back just like your trampoline.”

"The first episode of the rebooted We Got Married hit the headlines and quickly climbed the charts.

Following the cancellation of the show, the TV station made the decision to relaunch it and invite younger idols to participate.

The pair that appeared in the first episode, however, was another factor that contributed to its massive popularity. The show featured two of KPOP's most popular 4th generation idols.

They are DayDream Y/N and Karina from Aespa.

The two first met in the cafe, where they talked as usual and got to know each other.

But that was only the beginning of the show, and what shocked the audience the most was the way Y/N proposed to Karina. It was assumed that Y/N prepared all of the decorations and planned them with her group members.

Karina's response to the proposal was both heartfelt and genuine. Fans on both sides are excited to see how they progress and are looking forward to their wedding ceremony."

While drinking her coffee and holding her phone, Y/N scoffed at the article, insulting the current uproar around her and Karina's appearance in WGM.

"Woah, an article is already up!" exclaimed Hayeon as she walked close to her.

Y/N belongs to the group's unnie line.

As she set the mug down, the girl closed the screen of her phone and tucked it away in her pocket.

The typical conversation about Karina Aespa began as she turned away from the girl and sat down on the couch with Dajeong.

"I hope this doesn't have a negative impact on our group," the leader began to speak up, a slight scowl on her face.

Y/N's face dropped as she took a deep breath in. "I'm worried," she expressed.

She threw her head up, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, as so many thoughts raced through her mind.

The worries also goes to Aespa because not only love and admirations for their participation in this show, but also hate and torment them because of the couple, which comes from fans who are simply incapable of understanding that idols are interacting behind the cameras and are fully capable of falling in love like non-idols.

Prominently, one of the reasons why Karina was so distressed of her appearance in this show.

She was concerned about how it would affect other members, particularly herself.

When Karina read a news article regarding the first episode of We Got Married and learned that the people were essentially talking about her and Y/N, her eyes widened and she nearly spit out her juice.

Ningning eyed at the older sister with concern as she turned down the TV's volume.

She sat down next to the girl and asked, "How are you feeling?" while rubbing her back.

Karina approached the maknae with a pout and a devastated face, hugging Ningning and pretending to cry.

She did, after all, fake a cry, but the emotion was genuine.

Giselle, who was just observing the two's interaction. "Things will be okay," the Japanese member assured their leader with a pat on the back.

The hugs came to an end. "Please help me, girls, or else..." Jimin grumbled, her hands in her hair.

As she laid her head on Ningning's laps, she shook her head a little harsh, her hands interlocking in her hair.

"Whoa, heavy head, be careful!" The unexpected weight made Ningning scream.

Karina slapped her playfully. "Shut up, I'm going crazy here!" she cried helplessly.

Giselle murmured to the girls, "This is what I feel when they batshit me," as she sighed and shook her head.

They all simultaneously nodded their heads. "Where's Minjeong unnie?" Ningning enquired of Giselle.

Gigi nudged her shoulders up, she responded, "Eh, she's probably asleep by now," as she glanced at the time.

1:31pm.

By the time it is now, Minjeong must be really sleepy, or she may simply be exhausted from their activities.

It was just another hectic day of filming for the second episode of We Got Married, and they were also getting ready for the couple's interview.

It's now somewhere between 8 and 9 in the morning, and Karina yawned dramatically, "HOOOH."

She shook her head to rouse herself awake and realise that her group wouldn't be there for her in the morning.

Now that she and her manager are the only two present, the girls will be seeing her for the evening shoots.

Once her makeup artist was finished, SM's stylist clothed her.

Her manager poked fun at her and asked, "How are you liking her?" smiling devilishly.

The inquiry caused her eyes to widen, and she gave the manager an odd look.

"I don't even have feelings for her!" she scoffed, poutingly denying.

The manager continues to waggle her brows and teasingly say, "Heyyy, who knows you will!" still maintaining the devilish grin.

She was furiously shaking her head and she mumbled, "It's only for the show, unnie," too exhausted to respond.

She replied, "Yes, yeah," with a smirk as the manager laughed.

Her face contorted as she turned to face the manager. "Why is everyone teasing me about Y/N and me?!" she wondered, her voice slightly raised in confusion.

The manager shrugged off the girl's query and walked away to get ready for something else.

The first episode's interview began after a brief interval.

As Y/N spoke, the camera focused on her face. "That moment when I proposed to her, woah, my heart felt like it was about to burst anytime" she described how she felt about the proposal.

She remembered how it felt to ask Karina to marry her as her hand was placed on her chest as she spoke with a hesitant smile.

"I didn't say everything I wanted to say, but it came out well despite my shaky voice," Y/N continued, chuckling.

These were the few comments she made regarding her feelings.

The director called a halt to the shoot. Y/N got up from the chair and started to leave the shooting location.

They are currently beginning with Karina's interview.

As the makeup artist finished her final touches on Karina, she cleared her throat and was ready to look at the camera.

"All right," the director said, signalling the crew to begin filming.

His hand motioned for "Action!" and everyone got busy.

"So, Karina, how do you feel about your first meeting?" the PD questioned.

Karina paused for a moment before responding, "Honestly, I wouldn't expect it to be her," she deceived, well, actually Y/N did lie about that as well.

"We spoke for a few hours and had a lot of awkward first conversations, but she is a natural at coming up with conversation subjects."

She exhaled. "Surprisingly, a bit fast paced too because she proposed suddenly in the evening but that's okay because that's the show culture," she added, laughing lightly.

They've finished the interview, which lasted nearly 30 minutes.

Karina became aware that Y/N was watching her as she conducted her interview; her gaze avoided Y/N, but the latter approached her.

"I like the way you talk" Y/N remarked suddenly out of the blue.

Not even a hi, hello or how are you, was uttered by her.

As Y/N stated those, Karina was looking at her in the dead eyes and her mouth was partly open.

Y/N's face likewise became expressionless and had only eyes that expressed regret, shame, and genuine embarrassment.

The older girl smirked "Emotional damage?" she pressed the girl in English.

What a devil this woman can be, she crossed her arms, leaned a little closer to Y/N, and peered directly into Y/N's eyes.

As her gaze swerved to another place, Y/N was in a rain of embarrassment. "W-what?" She stammered.

She rolled her eyes "Yah, Yoo Jimin you ruined my cool image" she pointed out.

Karina grinned broadly and laughed as she strode away.

"Isn't it fun to be annoyed?" she asked, alluding to how Y/N always irritates her

"But that's my job to do, Karina!" the younger girl whined, calling her by her stage name.

Karina sniggered, "Haa yes yes, keep annoying me," she said to the other girl, who was grinning like the devil.

Y/N jogged in Karina's direction and made an attempt to follow her. "Are you ready?" she questioned.

Her gaze was drawn to Y/N. "For the wedding?" she inquired.

"Not really, must be unexpected things again," Karina chuckled, refusing to predict or expect.

Y/N gestured that she didn't know. "This time our groups planned this so-called wedding, so expect the worst" adding sarcastically.

The other girl sighed "We should get going now, time is gold" Karina spoke as she walked out of the studio.

Because it is a spontaneous and simple wedding, the wedding preparations will take nearly two days.

The studio was almost completely empty when the younger girl was left there.

Y/N smirked at the girl, stating, "She can be bold at times," while watching the girl sway her hips.

It's somewhat true to say that Y/N is now captivated by the majestic woman who appeared to be straight out of a manga.

After two days, the show arranged for the 'wedding' of the two idols.

Y/N blew raspberries in annoyance, albeit not truly; the ceremony had taken her by surprise.

The fact that the day had finally arrived and the girl was now extremely anxious also irked her a little.

She is concentrating so hard on what to say, how to move, and how to breathe during the duration of the ceremony.

They booked a luxurious hotel ballroom, and the Aespa and Daydream members decorated it with balloons and fantastical decorations.

Aespa's members simply chose a less expensive wedding-themed dress, a white long dress with sleeves, for their respective leader.

The girls wanted Karina to wear a veil so they could emphasise her beauty even more, as there was a hint of delicate blue lines along her outfit.

They also assisted with the makeup, which was clean and enhanced her stunning beauty.

DayDream, who partnered with Aespa, believed Y/N would look chic in a white slim dress.

The slim dress has the same soft blue lines running over it, and this wedding is just plain crazy.

It was amateurish and chaotic, yet despite everything it will work.

"All right, Yoo Jimin, my daughter, you are the most beautiful right now," Ningning said, impersonating Jimin's mother.

Jimin reacted by asking, "What?" after Ningning pretended to cry and wiped her tear away with a finger.

The leader gave the maknae a strange look, and Ningning led her out of the dressing room to show Jimin off to everyone.

Would you believe it?

In front of you is a tall, attractive woman with a slim build who is wearing a white dress with creamy blue lines.

She was wearing heels, her makeup was simple and natural, and my God, her braided hair just makes everything better.

It has a knotted curl and is very tastefully embellished with little flowers all the way around.

Her slightly red kissable lips and smile drive you crazy.

Everyone, even the SM staff, was in disbelief.

Although it was just a playful wedding, they were all taken aback by how stunning she looked at the moment.

Why does she appear to be the most gorgeous?

Giselle approached her, "Oh my gosh, that's a woman right there!" and she yelled in shock.

She turned the girl around in a 360-degree round with her hands covering her mouth, but she was unable to comprehend the beauty.

Giselle made a slay hand motion and said, "Damn!" with a smug grin on her face.

Jimin was amused by her shenanigans. "I'm not getting married for real," she simply responded.

"So what?!" Giselle responded by pulling out her phone to photograph Karina's appearance.

When Minjeong snapped a candid photo of her leader, she was astounded to see such beauty.

The manager smiled at the girl's appearance. "Wow, really beautiful!" exclaimed the manager happily upon seeing the girl.

Her beauty fascinated her.

As she gave the girl two thumbs up and a pat on the back, she asked Minjeong to snap pictures of her with Jimin.

After a few minutes, everyone was getting ready for the 'wedding,' and some of the guests were also appropriately dressed.

Yet, the majority of them are also members of Jimin's and Y/N's groups.

"For some reason, I'm nervous." Jimin said to the camera that was in charge of filming the show's behind-the-scenes action.

The crews were getting ready for Jimin's shot, where she would go down the aisle carrying the flower while wearing the bride's attire.

The cameramen will start filming as soon as the pair is revealed during the wedding ceremony.

Jimin took a deep breath and smiled to loosen the tense atmosphere.

The show's filming was launched by Mr. Director with the words "In 1, 2, and 3."

"Action!"

Let's Get Married - William Singe

When the blurry image of Yoo Jimin strolling down the red carpet became clear, one of the cameramen captured the door opening.

The cameraman focused on Jimin as she descended slowly while wearing a veil and holding a bouquet of flowers.

Y/N's attention was drawn to Jimin's appearance as another camera captured it.

The cameras caught her reaction as she grinned heartily when her eyes locked onto Jimin's beauty.

She turned back to face Giselle, who will conduct their wedding, and could not help but smile brightly.

Father Giselle, I'm guessing.

She's a cool girl, that's what I like about her.

Giselle's jaw dropped when she saw the idol's reaction. "Girl, what?" she nearly yelled in shock.

Because she was very certain that Y/N was overcome by the attractiveness of her best friend.

As Jimin drew nearer to Y/N, she raised her hand at the girl to signal for her to turn around once more.

"TURN AROUND, TURN AROUND!" Gigi mouthed yelled to her 'in law'.

Jimin was already nearby when Y/N abruptly spun around, bringing them face to face.

She ignored the stare of the woman who was standing tall in front of her and couldn't help but smile.

When Jimin almost burst out laughing, she covered her face with the flower and laughed quietly but painfully.

As light applauses were presented to the couple, YN and Jimin linked their arms as they walked together towards Giselle's altar.

The couple was the groups' primary focus. "Woah, they're insane" Minjeong commented out of the blue.

"Focus!" Gigi demanded, literally nearly crying, obviously not serious, she was about to laugh as well.

While remaining motionless, Y/N stripped away her smile and cleared her throat.

The same goes to Jimin.

Everyone fell hushed and focused intently on the event as the couple finally reached Giselle's altar.

Gigi feigned a cough. "Everyone has gathered here, ladies and gentlemen," she began in English.

"Eyo!" Dajeong DayDream instantly vibed with Gigi.

They winked at one other while exchanging pointers' fingers.

One of the cameras managed to record this interaction, which fans will undoubtedly edit for the interaction videos and upload to YouTube.

Ningning took Jimin's flowers from her as they were supposed to hold hands and said out their 'vows'.

First, Y/N removed the veil from Jimin's face, revealing her angelic beauty.

Y/N's heart leaped a little and her breath was taken away.

Who wouldn't be drawn in by Yoo Jimin?!

Jang Y/N extended both of her hands, and Jimin joined them, gently embracing Y/N's hands.

When it happened, everyone joyfully clapped their hands and gave the loudest round of applause.

"To witness the union of two people, Yoo Jimin and Jang Y/N," Giselle began.

She wished she could smile. "Please read the vows that your members have written now."

Giselle gave the go-ahead for Ningning and a member of the DayDream to present the written vows to the couple.

As they were all involved in writing them and only the couple will read them, the written vows were undoubtedly nonsensical.

Y/N accepted the paper and turned the paper around to face her while she carefully read a few phrases.

"Okay..." she murmured, her eyes widening a little in the process.

"Don't you think we're the most attractive couple?" Y/N informed her 'wife', which was not in the vow.

Y/N smirked, teasing the older one, and Jimin responded with a quick glare.

Her left hand was clutching Jimin's hand. "To my wife, Yoo Jimin," she began to say her vows.

"I promise to never leave you and always stick with you for as long as we're married, even when I have to deal with your grumpy self, it's a must."

When she read that aloud, Y/N almost started laughing and wondered who in her group had written that.

She scrunched up her face in bewilderment and thought it was humorous to read it aloud.

"You are the light of my life, you bring to light my world, and you illuminate the room when you pull the curtain to wake me up."

Y/N was laughing in between her words and wasn't reading it correctly.

Nonetheless, the crews and guests who attended their 'wedding' had a good time.

"As a result, Karina Aespa, also known as Yoo Jimin, the most beautiful woman I know, I adore you, teeth or no teeth."

Y/N laughed, raising her head to face the people who stood before her while laughing "Who in the world wrote this? This is ridiculous!" the girl said, still can't contain her laughter.

Her vows, which were filled with absurdity and strange things, ended there.

Jimin was giggling along with everyone else at the vows, and she also questioned the writers' motives.

To the wedding speech, everyone clapped their hands and laughed together.

It's now Jimin's turn to read her marriage vows.

She gave a little chuckle and cleared her throat before glancing at the paper in her hand. "Well..." she said quietly, clearing her throat.

"Jang Y/N, my wife. Throughout this show, I hope to learn to love you and to get to know you better. Inside and out, honestly."

The little smile that had been on her face had vanished, but it wasn't because of anything bad; rather, reading it had brought her a little comfort.

A slight sense of relief could be felt as a safe and comforting sensation left her chest.

She grinned once more. "I promise to laugh at your jokes, even if they are dad jokes, because I really do love and like you."

Jimin's stomach was churning with butterflies.

"Let's stay together for as long as possible, I like you," her vows concluded.

Each of their hands was still tenuously clinging on when their eyes met, and they both smiled pleasantly in each other's direction.

"COME ON KISS!" Members of Y/N's group shouted from her seat.

The request caused the two to immediately tilt their heads in the direction of the screaming while widening their eyes.

"How?!" Jimin mouthed in a shouting manner to her wife.

With an anxious expression, Y/N hastily shrugged her shoulders.

The shoot was stopped by the director, who then approached the newlyweds.

"Yes, yes, do the kiss!" he said, waving his hand invitingly.

He wanted the couple to kiss, as is customary for married couples.

The pair exchanged frightened glances as they both nodded slowly. "Okay." Y/N said flatly.

Y/N initiated but stopped in the midst because she was absolutely dying within.

Their lips were so close, and their half-lidded eyes were being captured on cameras.

Everyone was cheering and anticipating their kisses.

Jimin has gone insane because she can't think of anything.

Y/N moved her gaze down to Jimin's lip, then to her right cheek.

She pecked it quickly and turned her face away from the camera, becoming shy.

Jimin's eyes grew wider as a result of the peck; okay, it wasn't with the lips, but the cheek alone was enough to catch her off guard.

The tension between them increased once more, becoming somewhat thicker.

Y/N cleared her throat while the person who had been pecked was still looking aside.

How will their photo shoot go now that they've just kissed?

The so-called newlyweds got ready for their wedding photo session the following day.

It was supposed to be a pre-wed photoshoot but they had to do a post wedding ceremony because of the schedule conflicts.

Aespa was the first to arrive at the studio for the photo shoot, and Jimin's manager is now conversing with the photographer about what should be done for today.

Minjeong declared to her leader, "Even though it's simply a playful marriage, I still want to congratulate you," with a straight expression.

The leader was simply looking at her with what appeared to be a look of incredulity on her face.

Jimin took a deep breath and exhaled heavily. "Oh my—" she was about to curse when she stopped herself.

Aeri entered the room, clutching the knob, "YOO JIMIN, COME OUT, Y/N HAS ARRIVED!" The rapper exclaimed joyfully.

Aeri's loud voice nearly made the leader jump out of her skin, and she turned to face her with an irritated look on her face.

She got up from her chair and groaned loudly before leaving the room with Aeri by her side.

The photographer gathered the couple at the photography location, and the couple stood apart on the white background.

It was quite awkward.

"What kind of photoshoot is this going to be? Is this a boudoir scene?" With an evil grin, the photographer inquired.

Y/N and Jimin arched their brows in response to the photographer's words, unsure what they meant.

The DayDream vocalist moved cautiously towards the photographer. "I'm sorry, what does boudoir mean?" she asked hesitantly.

Before responding, Mr. Director and the photographer exchanged quick glances and chuckles. "Well, boudoir is a photography style featuring intimate, sensual, and occasionally erotic poses as the subject" the photographer explained gradually.

When Jimin heard it, her face went completely rigid with horror, and Y/N's mouth dropped at the explanation.

The thought of it appeared to have traumatised them.

"Is that okay with you, or do you prefer the traditional one?" the photographer inquired.

At the same time that Y/N was glancing at Jimin with wide eyes, Jimin was also peering at Y/N with the same wide eyes.

When their eyes met, they both averted their gazes.

Their faces showed that they were agitated as a result of the sensual photography poses, and Jimin, in particular, was blushing slightly.

Despite the fact that the two men were only kidding around with them about boudoir, the so-called newlyweds reacted in such a way.

Jimin cleared her throat. "No! I propose a regular photoshoot!" She retorted, her words stuttering slightly.

Her suggestion to stick with the conventional was supported by everyone involved in the photo shoot.

That also applied to Y/N.

After retouching their makeup and taking some photographs, the two were discussing with the photographer what kind of poses they will do in the next session.

They were advised to be extremely near, with Jimin being instructed to sit on Y/N's lap as they both faced the camera.

The two were cursing internally as they attempted yet another stance, praying that it would all end sooner.

Y/N sat on the chair, watching Jimin approach her with apprehension.

While everything was solely for work purposes, they had to constantly remind themselves to act professionally.

She tensely adjusted her body position so she wouldn't accidentally drop Jimin afterwards.

Jimin uneasily sat on Y/N's lap, avoiding eye contact and focusing exclusively on the side profile of the younger girl.

Y/N was doing the same thing; she wasn't focusing on Jimin, who had just settled on her lap.

Suddenly, the photographer appeared in front of them, yelling, "Wrap your arms around Y/N!" to give them commands.

"Face one another! Come on, stare at each other intensely!" He exclaimed, cheering on the girls.

He was a girlypop photographer.

Uncountable movements of wide eyes were used today, and Jimin's eyes are now undoubtedly wide.

The Aespa main dancer hesitated to wrap her arms around Y/N's neck and took a slow, careful look at her face as she squirmed uneasily on her lap.

She's beautiful. Jimin had that thought as soon as she approached Y/N's face.

Y/N could feel her heart beating faster as they grew physically impossible closer to one another while facing each other.

Yes, she is very gorgeous. I kid you not. She and I are literally being referred to as our generation's best visuals. She continued to look at Y/N's face as Jimin spoke gravely in her mind.

"Hello there, YN! Look into her eyes!" To get their attention, the photographer yelled.

Y/N hugged Jimin tenderly by the waist and awkwardly nodded as she prepared to stare into her eyes.

Because they had their arms around one another and were looking into each other's eyes, the two were extremely physically near.

Unexpectedly, Jimin's heart was pounding as well, and she felt as though she was a little lost in the gaze of her workmate. At this point, she wished she could pull her gaze away from the person in front of her.

Because of Jimin, Y/N's attention was diverted, and she found herself staring at her beautiful red lips.

The need to kiss Jimin's lips was so intense at this close of a distance, and the proximity of her lips to Jimin's couldn't stop the temptation.

Y/N was clueless that she was quietly sinking into Jimin's lip, while Jimin's arms were still around Y/N's neck, she became aware that YN was slowly leaning in towards her lip. As a result, she started to pull her head back.

"Oh my god!" Jimin backed away from the kiss, disappointing the WGM team.

The first person to leap up from her chair was Y/N, who nearly caused Jimin to fall from her lap before turning to the opposite side with her face flushed.

Mr. Director groaned deeply. "Alright! That's alright! We should finish today and continue in the evening." He shouted out to let everyone know.

As Y/N turned around once more to apologise to Jimin for the rash action, she didn't see her and said, "Huh?" loudly.

It turned out that the Aespa leader hurried up to her dressing room to escape herself from the mental anguish when the director screamed for a wrap-up a few seconds earlier.

Y/N pressed her palm firmly against her mouth and badmouthing herself grumpily for the foolishness she nearly committed.

Jimin was hiding her head in her hands and resting her forehead on the table in her dressing room.

Aeri, Minjeong, and her cherished maknae, Ningning, were silently worried about the leader as they watched her drowned in agony.

They were so close to kissing yesterday, but it didn't happen because Y/N chose to kiss the girl on the cheek out of fear that some people might attack her if she actually kissed Jimin on the lips.

I should be asleep, but I’m still thinking about the latest episode of The Witch from Mercury. I’m not sure how the finale will go (or if it will be a season finale or a series finale). But something I’m deeply curious about is what will happen between Suletta and Prospera. So here are some sleepy thoughts and theories about Suletta, Prospera, Eri and how their story will end: 

There is a slight possibility that Eri is alive in some capacity after the end of episode 23. But I think Eri as we knew her is completely gone (which 😭😭😭). So what will happen to Eri’s mother and younger sister? Will they really be able to move on as a family like Miorine offered? Will Prospera even want Suletta now that Eri is [most likely] gone? 

For most of the show, Prospera has shown a smug confidence that clearly unnerves everyone who interacts with her. Delling was always wary of her. Miorine didn’t trust her or her intentions with Suletta. Belmaria was afraid of her and what she was capable of. The only person oblivious to Propera’s true nature was Suletta for obvious reasons. Prospera had a carefully crafted plan and was confident she would succeed no matter what. She adjusted on the fly when something didn’t work out exactly like she wanted it to.

So for much of the show Prospera was a woman who didn’t let anything get too deep under her skin. If there was a problem, she would handle it and get things back on track.

Yet the only instances where that confidence falters or isn’t present is in the most recent episode.  I’ve only watched the series once, so I may have missed a moment or two). 

First, there’s a notable lack of reaction when Suletta lays out her feelings while fighting Eri/Aerial. I don’t remember the exact wording, but Suletta says she wants to be the one to comfort Prospera when she’s crying and the camera pans to Prospera who, interestingly doesn’t much of a reaction. Her head piece covers her eyes which often reveal so much emotion in humans. I’d like to think Prospera was genuinely touched by Suletta’s words or maybe she felt some deeper connection to her other daughter. Maybe it was a flicker of that love that Prospera says she has for Suletta that’s been nonexistent for much of the show (at least to me). Whatever her emotional reaction was in that moment, Prospera felt something towards her other daughter and hid it as best she could.

(This moment is also interesting because it suggests Suletta has likely witness Prospera crying and has either been rejected when trying to comfort her mother or knew not to interfere. Or it could be a callback to the visions Eri passed Suletta in episode 19 or 20, I can’t recall). 

Then when Eri shields everyone from the super secret, deadly space laser, Prospera cries out for Eri to stop and appears frightened for what would come next. This is the strongest reaction we ever see from Prospera and it feels the most genuine out of everything we see. I don’t even think that was Prospera that we saw in that moment. It was Elnora Samaya who once again had to confront the possibility of losing her daughter. If Eri is truly gone, then what sort of emotional state will Prospera/Elnora be in when the next episode begins? Will she sink into a depression? Apathy? Shut herself off? Her driving force has been to create a world for Eri to live in, no matter the costs. And now, regardless of if Eri is still alive or not, that future is forever closed. 

Now Eri is gone and what does Prospera have left? Suletta? The daughter she loves, but has also abandoned multiple times? The child that she fed to the wolves? Will she really want Suletta when she will always be a remainder of Eri, the child that she lost TWICE? Can she even be a parent to Suletta when so much of their relationship has been exploitative and harmful? 

For Suletta’s sake, I hope Prospera and Suletta can build something together. I think Suletta is strong enough where she can survive without Prospera. (She has Miorine, Earth House and others in her corner. She’s better connected to her school too.). But she loves her mother and sister and I’m sure she’ll always want them to be with her. 

But I also imagine an ending where Prospera rejects Suletta. Miorine calls Prospera out for failing to love her daughters equally and Prospera counters that people won’t understand. I think at this point, Prospera is still so deep in her grief and longing for a better future, that she likely can’t accept what she currently has (i.e. Suletta). What even is a world without Eri? Will Prospera want to live in such a reality? She spent two decades planning to reunite with Eri and now she’ll have to find a new way forward. Will Prospera want that for herself?

[Miorine calling out Prospera is so fascinating because Miorine is operating from a place of once having a mother who clearly cherished and loved her daughter. And Prospera is both similar to and yet so different from Notrette]

I think most likely the Mercurys ending will be a combination of the two potentials: Prospera, once again grieving the loss of Eri, acknowledges she can’t be a mother to Suletta, but Suletta, being the kind-hearted and compassionate person that she is, keeps the door open for communication and a connection later down the road. It’s not a happy ending, but it’s not gut-wrenching either. And it’s probably the most narratively satisfying ending for them. Because the parents in this show are far from perfect. They may love their children, but they’ve also caused significant harm to all their kids and that tainted how their children showed up in the world. Prospera and Suletta have far too much baggage that they can ignore. And again, there is a big question as to if Prospera will even want something with Suletta now that Eri is gone. So the best we can hope for is an ending that’s not overly positive, but not totally negative either.

Thoughts on 5x01 - 5x11 again SO MUCH FUN watching this half season. Does the plot make sense? Not really. Was it a compelling storyline? Not so much. Did I laugh a lot? YOU BETCHA! The thing with this season (at least this half) is you cannot take it seriously, it is the most this show has ever been "meta" because this was just episode after episode of laughing at the Triangle of Doom. I would say DE got it the worse but even SE got hits against it too. Stefan was mocked by having amnesia Stefan point out all his worst qualities. Damon was mocked relentlessly via his insecurity. Elena was mocked by being the flip flopper that she is. It was beautiful. Silas and Tessa were great as scorned lovers/enemies and I truly enjoyed the doppelgänger shenanigans. Amnesia Stefan you will always be famous! Of course there's bad stuff, like Bonnie's storyline and Jesse's treatment and sadly that's not surprising because Dries (racist) was in charge. I touch on all of this below!

Poor Caroline, but at least Jesse is smoking hot.

Random observation: last season the beginning of the season did not look like it was filmed in the summer like every other season and I've always kind of wondered why that is. I think I read somewhere that they continued filming the beginning of S4 when S3 ended and that's why you never get the summer attire in S4 like we do here again in S5.

Katherine and Silas are having way too much fun making Damon feel insecure about Stelena and I truly love it!

Stefan saying he didn’t want to turn his humanity off so he could be himself when he murdered Silas. Classic Stefan! Revenge is his biggest motivation in life I swear.

The doppelgänger curse (aka creating shadow selves every 100-ish years because of Silas and Amara) is good mythology, I thought it was a good reason to explain the existence of doppelgängers. But I also think it hurt some of the special-ness that Stelena had because it cheapens the fate part about it (and that’s before we find out it’s a literal spell pulling them together). Tessa saying she watched versions of S&E fall in love over and over the last 2000 years makes it feel like it’s predetermined destiny, which is a weakness against a ship IMO. It actually gives more power to Delena because having a love that conquers destiny is a great trope. I'm not even sure the writers meant to make this hurt SE at first because I don't think they like DE either. I know Dries was the showrunner this season and it's hard to understand what she likes when it comes to the triangle (her fav is Katherine that's all I understand about her). Everyone always thinks it's DE but LOL the person who wrote this season does NOT like DE I assure you. It would make sense she'd think this storyline is strong for SE on paper, but in tone it's not. It's like she cut her nose despite her face.

Delena being described by Tessa "like a soap opera, but boring and with no volume control" best description ever!

I like that they almost made you believe Damon was going to leave Stefan there lol, but even Damon isn't that selfish.

This season is just one big kinda mean commentary on the show and I love it LMFAO. I can see why it’s hated because it’s not really an intriguing plot as far as forward movement (I mean Silas' motivation is to die). But I'd be lying if I said the way it’s being used to mock and almost break the fourth wall isn't giving me so much joy. I guess I’d describe it as camp? Like Silas said messy but fun to watch.

Am!Stefan being like “I need time to process that I let my girlfriend drown” I KNOW RIGHT? It’s so crazy isn’t it you’re just like flabbergasted.

Sometimes this show just hits my narrative and this episode is it baby! Am!Stefan knowing Caroline’s full name (unlike Elena), that she’s his best friend and BLATANTLY flirting with her saying she’s much hotter in person (the way he totally checks her out a few times too) THAT'S THE STUFF. Then you’ve got Caroline being the only one who actually stops the ripper because she reminds Stefan who HE is, not who she is (because just to point out again she didn't have to because he studied her pictures and knew her instantly!!!) Damon and Elena on the other hand keep telling him who they are (which is a bunch of liars) and that’s why Stefan trusts her and not them. Their scene in the crypt is so nice too, it's one of the first times they get a scene like this with the hand holding, the comforting emphasis, and a beautiful shot on the bench. Plus Am!Stefan staring at Caroline's lips *swoon* you can really tell he has a crush on Caroline.

This Bonnie memorial is so infuriating I can't believe this Bonnie is dead for 8(!!!) episodes was a plot.

This shows racism towards black characters is really disgusting the more you become aware of it. I swear everytime a character is cast that’s going to get tortured or brutally murdered they are always black. Luka, Jonah, Aja, Connor and now Jesse. There’s no way it was a coincidence.

Nina’s physical comedy as human Katherine is just perfect!

The costumes Caroline picked ARE KILLING ME! First having her and Tyler as Bonnie and Clyde because they almost ran away together (and perhaps a part of her knows they’re doomed like B&C). Having Damon and Elena as Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn because she hates Damon and thinks he’s so bad for Elena he’ll get her head chopped off LMFAO. And then Stefan as JAMES FRIGGIN' DEAN can’t make this up, I know I keep saying this but amazing, no notes.

CTFU at Am!Stefan TOTALLY IGNORING Tyler when he asks Caroline to dance with him, like even with amnesia he knows he doesn’t fuck with Tyler. Am!Stefan’s face when he twirls her HE IS SO SMITTEN (and so is she if we’re being honest), James Dean daydream look indeed.

EL OH EL Silas trying to get Tessa to admit that she’s still in love with him. Honestly Silas your doppelgänger is way better at this, Stefan would have gotten that confession no sweat.

Poor Forwood but honestly I do think this makes sense and neither of them is really wrong, they are both acting like themselves. It makes sense Tyler can't just let Klaus walk away after what he did, and he especially can't deal with Klaus giving him permission to be with Caroline. Caroline on the other hand wants to move forward with her life and as far as she's concerned Klaus is out of sight out of mind. Caroline's also not a big revenge person, I don't think she's ever cared enough to enact revenge on someone (with humanity of course).

Amnesia or not Stefan will always be smarter than Damon.

One thing about Stefan he has never seen a crazy bitch in danger that he didn’t want to save. I do really enjoy Steferine with human Katherine because it gave all the power to Stefan since she can’t physically hurt him anymore. It’s kind of like the scene in the series finale where Caroline comforts human Damon because he can’t hurt her anymore and she doesn't need to be afraid.

They really had to interrupt Bonnie’s first SEX SCENE EVER IN 5 FUCKING YEARS so she could scream in agony because the show killed another black character. Dries you will never see heaven!

Gee I don’t know Elena when is someone supposed to get over the fact that they were abused and raped by your fucking boyfriend. And you laughed about it with him! Never? I’m gonna go with never. It makes sense why he never thought she did with scenes like this. Mostly because Stefan compartmentalizes people but that’s a topic for later this season. Katherine though bless her heart is not blind and can obviously tell these two feel a tingle for each other.

Not sure how intentional this was but I like the parallel back to the scene in 5x07 where Stefan said when the safe opened he wanted Damon and Elena to be the ones he saw. And now that he went back into the safe to get over his PTSD from that (and their betrayal) the person he sees when the safe opens up is Caroline.

OMG Damon is insufferable! First his list of evil things Katherine did are all things HE did and now he's just torturing her because he's mad he broke up with Elena??? Can we just put him in the '94 prison world now I need him gone.

Stefan really switched from heartbroken to team Delena in like 3 episodes lol. I get it was the PTSD and we gotta speed stuff up but it did not take long. Another moment of "what are people talking about on Reddit" because they are always like "it took Stefan so long to move on from Elena" IT TOOK 3 EPISODES!

It's kind of amazing how many parallels and mirroring storylines Stefan and Caroline get with each other (these gifsets illustrate it well (x) (x)) but I really like how Steferine and Klaroline are used similarly for Stefan and Caroline in their journeys (these gifsets are great (x) (x)) and this season shows that a lot. Klaus and Katherine were both looking for love confessions from Caroline and Stefan respectively and while they sleep with their admirer/abuser they don't give them a love confession in return (because they don't love them). There's even the Klefan and Katholine connection as they are both used as their lackeys (Stefan in S3 and Caroline in S2) but then they also have a kind of understanding with each other. They both show pity for Katherine in this episode and they both felt remorse for betraying Klaus in 4x09. If this had actually been Katherine's death it was similar the Klaroline's ending on TO, with Caroline giving Klaus the date in NOLA and kissing him goodbye. Stefan sleeps with Katherine after she helped him through his PTSD, then he gives her peace with the memory before she dies (he thinks). Too bad the show had to RUIN that!

Look Stefan has his flaws (manipulative, enables Damon, can be a dick, serial killer) but one thing I love about him is he has a willingness to forgive the unforgivable. He didn't have to give Katherine peace after everything she had done but he did. I think it does come from a place of he believes everyone can be saved because he wants to believe he can be saved, but I also think he has a lot of empathy (at least for women).

The Katherine twist was great I will give them that, she's a survivor!

Lines that made me laugh:

Am!Stefan: I think I still need to be drunk to understand this story (REAL I chose edibles instead but YMMV)

Katherine: So are you part of the secret society? You know the "Society" (SHE KILLS ME)

In March, before the release of 'Watching and Dreaming', I wrote this comment to a post on the topic "You found a genie and wished for 20 episodes in the third season of The Owl House instead of 3 episodes. How can this go horribly wrong?". Now I have found it. I corrected a couple of mistakes and gave a little explanation in parentheses

Everything seems great at first. Each of the episodes tells about how Hexsquad get to know Human Realm, get into some kind of trouble and escape with the help of magic. In addition, we are shown how Phillip adapts to the modern world and studies it, and builds new stuff. Maybe Phillip visits Gravity Falls and Los Angeles (Hometown of the heroines of the "Amphibia" series), as he finds information that something strange was happening there. And at some point we become aware that all this time Phillip was watching Hexsquad through the cameras

Perhaps sometimes, instead of Phillip, we are shown how Bosha and other students of Hexside live and deal with their problems. Kikimora is still among them.

The events of the episode "Thanks to Them" take place near the end of the season. When Hexsquad realize that they have a rebus showing where the Titan's blood is, Phillip finds out about it. He takes the Titan's blood, but Hexsquad notice him and start following him. They arrive at his base, which is located in another city. While Hexsquad are exploring the base and looking for Phillip, he uses Titan's blood to activate a portal through which dozens of robots get to the Boiling Isles. Hexsquad find a working portal and pass through it, hoping to have time to stop Belos. Next, we are shown how Phillip is sitting in a room with monitors that show all the places where Hexsquad were before, including a room with a portal. After Hexsquad have entered the portal, he smiles, picks up a bag, goes to the portal through different rooms, and activates a device that makes him invisible, after which he enters the portal.

The next few episodes are devoted to how Hexsquad study the changed Boiling Isles and come to Hexside, where they meet Bosha, other children and a disguised Kikimora. At the end of each episode, we are shown what Belos is doing. He has re-equipped his old hideout and now, through numerous robots, he is watching the entire island. Later it will be shown that the robots have reached other islands, what gives you the feeling that Phillip probably will personally explore these islands.

All the worst will be in the final episode. We will be shown how one of the robots arrived at the Archive House unnoticed and placed various books, game consoles and just toys in a prominent place. The Collector will find these things and together with King will begin to study them. Luz and her friends will use a teleportation glyph to get into the Titan's head, but robots are already waiting for them there. The robots will shoot sleeping darts and Hexsquad will fall asleep.

Luz will wake up chained to a chair, she will be in Phillip's hideout. Phillip will be sitting across from her, they will have a conversation. Luz will be scared, she will ask where her friends are, she will threaten Belos. Phillip will calmly begin to tell what he has been doing all this time, how he studied the modern Human Realm, invented new things, spied on the Hexsquad and came up with plans. We find out that game consoles and other things were delivered to The Collector so that he would have something to play with. Phillip will say that modern Human Realm is quite strange, but he is used to it and is going to clean it of all the filth.

He will turn on a live broadcast on the screens of what robots are doing now all over Demon Realm. Luz will be forced to watch as robots kill hundreds of witches. She will scream, she will cry, she will beg to stop it, and Phillip will smile. When the robots are done, Luz will be silent and cry quietly. Phillip will tell her that she doesn't have to worry, because he didn't touch the dolls - it's necessary for a Collector to play with something.

Luz will quietly ask where her friends are. Phillip will say that they are still alive. One of the screens will show a room in which all the surviving students of the Hexside, Hexsquad and Kikimora will lie. Phillip will show that with the help of some spell, artifact or technology, he can control people. And then he will show Luz a drawing in which students, Hexsquad, Luz herself and Kikimora will stand together and smile, but they will be gray as a stone. Phillip will say, "You remember petrification, right?" and Luz will shudder at the realization.

She would beg Phillip not to do it. Phillip will say that Luz doesn't have to worry, Hunter will stay alive, but he won't remember Luz, her friends, or the Boiling Isles (And he shows her the memory gun). And that now it's time for Luz to go to bed. Phillip gives Luz a sleeping pill and she falls asleep despite trying to stay conscious.

Phillip frees her and carries her in his arms to the same room that was shown on the screen. He puts it with the others, and then uses the item that he told Luz about. Witches and human get into poses, open their eyes, smile, and Phillip turns them into stone. After that, it is shown to us that Phillip did something to Odalia's mind so that she would start to really take care of The Collector and love him.

After that, we are shown how Camilla and Vee are sitting at home and talking, they are worried about the guys. They hear the front door open and run to it. Phillip is standing on the threshold. He shoots them with sleeping darts, they fall asleep, then get into poses and Phillip turns them into stone. Robots take the statues out of the house and load them into the car. In the next scene we see that Camilla and Vee are standing in the same place as the statues of Luz and the others.

Hunter wakes up in bed in a completely new place for him. Phillip is standing next to the bed and Hunter smiles when he sees him. Phillip says Hunter is a little injured, but he will be well soon, and in the meantime, the two of them can play some game. Hunter happily agrees.

The credits begin. At the end, it says "Thank for watching" in large letters. It looks like it's written in someone's blood

That would be absolutely devastating to watch! Watching Philip once more create and carry out his plans in such a calm and collected manner would be terrifying, and it would really amplify how scary of a character he is. I also like the idea that Philip would be going around to other places of weirdness and anomalous activity in order to further his research. I mean, imagine if he and Stanford met and got along. The man would be so distraught to find out the true purpose behind Philip’s visits. The idea of him using robots is interesting, and I like how it’s a callback to Amphibia. All in all, a very interesting AU idea!

Things my version of Sir Pentious does do within the Hazbin canon:

Does:

• Show up to attack the Hotel in an attempt to kill Alastor and ends up ripping off a part of his coat.

• Attempt to infiltrate the Hotel later as a spy for the V’s and is caught by Angel Dust (with the caveat that he was planning on double crossing the V’s the whole time on the grounds of not wanting them to defeat Alastor before him)

• Believe out of paranoia that everyone in the hotel is attempting to murder him afterwards and creates new weaponry to fend them off until Vaggie intervenes

• Get thrown into the middle of a turf war along with Angel Dust by Vaggie and subsequently have to get dragged out by Angel because he has no weapons to fight with (Vaggie having confiscated them all from him)

• Not believe the Eggbois when one of them accidentally lets slip that Carmine killed one of the exorcists

• Bake cookies for Lucifer’s arrival and greets him with a salute when he arrives

• Listen to Mimzy’s story with Angel Dust about Alastor’s past as the Radio Demon

• Save Niffty from being crushed by fallen debris when the loan sharks attack the building

• Get drunk as fuck when Angel Dust takes them all out clubbing and gets wrapped up in an orgy

• Stay behind at the hotel to begin properly fortifying the place when Charlie and Vaggie try to recruit Carmine and Cannibal Town to fight the Exorcists.

• Stays atop the Hotel balcony to lay down suppressive artillery fire and direct the ground defensive to ward off assaults.

Does Not:

• Try to kill Alastor for the sake of obtaining recognition from the V’s, rather trying to kill Alastor for the sake of his own glory.

• Dress up in a sailor boy outfit with a giant lollipop.

• Panics when he gets caught as a spy and tries to call Vox to get help and then start crying when he gets told to off himself. Instead, he pretends to have been attacked, crushes the wrist watch, and then confesses how he was asked to spy and planned on planting the spy cameras in useless rooms to reduce as much information the V’s could obtain as possible.

• Lay down and ask to be killed quickly while crying

• Start crying when the Eggbois are taken away from him/become overjoyed when they’re given back

• Dive off the trust fall booth in hopes no one catches him because he misses his minions

• Flirt with/try to get with Cherri Bomb through the night at the club in episode 6 (he instead just sneers at her and tries to ignore that she’s there)

• Try and confess his love for Cherri Bomb several times/kiss her during the final battle (he is not attracted to her at all.)

• Die in the final battle. He sends his ship up to Adam with the eggs inside while he stays behind, and when the Hotel is blasted apart by Adam, he digs himself out of the rubble when the battle is over.

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 1

Hey guys, I hope to make this a regular thing every week! Before I begin, I want to state that I watched episode 1 and 2 when it first aired, but I didn't have the time to write anything about those episodes. Now I do! At the time of writing this, I have not watched episode 3. Anyway! Let's go!

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 9/10

Summary: A solid premiere that showcases what this new season will offer with the change in studio and artstyle! Some scenes felt a bit off but it wasn't too much of a bother!

I like the short recap at the beginning of the episode! It lets us adjust to the new artstyle and direction the show is going while also giving us a bit of a refresher as it has been 4 years!

This scene is interesting because first, AWWW ENDORSI NOOOOO SHES CRYING, and two, does this mean that they will add in the Bam and Endorsi scenes that were skipped? I sure hope they do their best to add in key scenes for characters that were changed or skipped in season 1!

OH MY GOD SHE SAID IT SHE SAID THE THING GUYS OMGGGGGGGGG

Why did Yuri's VA change? It will take some time for me to get used to it, but it's alright.

I like her look, they made sure to design her as closely to the webtoon as they could.

Jokes aside, it was VERY well done. I smiled like an idiot watching it and even replayed it many times.

I am unsure if it was done by a solo animator, but I hope they save their resources for this type of animation during very important fights.

Season 1 had very animated fight scenes too but they all felt slow to me. This? I love, the dynamic camera really adds to the action. Music is great too! Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying its better than other popular shows' fight scenes with sakuga animation. I'm just saying that if they maintain this current standard, I will be satisfied!

I do wish it was slightly longer and I am worried that this episode may be the only one with good animation for its fight scenes due to how much it was being used for promotion. However, I will keep my fingers crossed that they are cooking for THAT important fight later in this cour.

I LOVED the ending to this episode. Viole's flashbacks, and him standing in that elevator with the music playing. It gives you so much regarding Viole's feelings about his life and his surroundings at that moment. And the way the music distorts at the end adds to the tragedy of Viole in my opinion!

I LOVE THIS ED SO MUCH GUYS. THEY DID IT IN WEBTOON SCROLLING FORMAT!!! THEY EVEN ADDED SIU'S WAY OF CREDITING HIMSELF EVERY CHAPTER (He removed the TUS after coming back from hiatus tho oh no)

To me, this ED not only pays respect to the source material and how many of us read Tower of God. But also a way, in my opinion, of telling the audience that "Yes, we know about the source material, and we will follow it this time." And I like that it will show more every episode. (Also covering up all the events with Jahad's symbol like its "blocking memories" is kind of funny. I doubt the studio did it with that in mind but its still a neat coincidence)

Overall, a fantastic premiere to the new season! If they maintain this quality, we are in for a treat!

What are your top 3 least favorite episodes from each Next Class season & why?

Ooh, least favorites. Okay.

Next Class season 1:

1.) #ThisCouldBeUsButYouPlayin: This episode pisses me off. It's not just that Zig cheated on Maya. I still think it was a somewhat lazy writing choice that simplified what was going on with Zig and the tension between Zig and Maya, but in terms of what was actually happening during this episode I sadly bought that Zig would make the decision he did in a vulnerable moment. For me, the biggest issue was the Zoe/Grace arc. All these years later, I still can't rationalize why the show felt the need to write Grace as straight and make the entirety of the fallout Zoe's fault. Experimenting plots are fine. Questioning your sexuality only to realize you're cis/straight plots are fine. The problem is, none of that was told from Grace's perspective. Everything about Grace during the first season of Next Class was kind of shrouded in mystery with everything she said or did implying she liked girls and reciprocated Zoe's feelings. The show went as far as allowing Zoe and Grace to have sex only to have Grace come out as straight less than five minutes later all to facilitate a bullshit plot twist to break up Next Class's main straight couple. It felt really condescending and like the writers were almost lecturing the fans as well for making assumptions when the writing, editing, directing and acting was all intentionally done the way it was to lure everyone into believing they were getting lesbian representation in a pretty cruel way. In universe, I'm still not sure why Zoe of all people needed to learn that lesson when Grace refused to use her big girl words to tell her otherwise. Then obviously, there's the mess with Zig and Zoe. It was never confirmed that they slept together and outside stuff from the crew suggests they only made out, but it was definitely implied something sexual went down in the actual episodes. As a biased Zaya fan, obviously I'd like whatever they did to be anything else. But also, Degrassi repeatedly wrote sketchy sexual encounters that unintentionally skirted the line of how consent is supposed to work so I really don't want to have to work through "Zig only slept with Zoe because he was unaware she was making a sex tape of their underaged selves" on top of everything else. Needless to say, I can't be objective about this episode. The acting was strong and the Miles story line was good, but those aspects couldn't make up for such a frustrating episode. For all these reasons it will probably always be my least favorite Next Class episode, period.

2.) #BootyCall: In my opinion, this wasn't a great series or season premiere. It did an okay job reintroducing the characters to viewers who hadn't watched TNG or the recent seasons prior to the show's cancellation, but the tone always detracts from the episode for me. I can't explain it. I know Next Class is considered the weakest Degrassi show, but even beyond that something didn't translate well. it felt like a hard reset and not in the best way. In terms of writing things I didn't love, this was the beginning of Tristan's frequent biphobia that the writers never seemed to find problematic. Zig's suddenly bad at guitar. It's almost funny now.

3.) #SorryNotSorry: Hunter is literally an attempted school shooter who made an actual hit list involving multiple main characters, some of which were his own friends and a girl he'd already emotionally tortured for weeks. Somehow, the entire episode ends with Hunter crying prettily into the camera and being embraced by Miles. I understand Degrassi aims to make us empathize with all the characters and wants us to understand why they do what they do regardless of whether or not we like them. But at the same time, I'm so sick of sympathetic school shooter narratives. This is a perfect example of one thing I hate about later Degrassi. Hunter gets away with all of this rather than be held accountable. The school never knew Hunter actually had a gun and he returns to the school the next year like it's nothing. He's allowed to form another group with the friends he sent rape threats with the previous year as though nothing happened. Maya doesn't even get a proper apology from Hunter, and she helps that trashy group multiple times! I know I'm focusing a lot of the aftermath, but this was the beginning of that shift. Otherwise, Frankie starts dating Jonah and Zig keeps doing the "maybe he actually understands he was trash for cheating on Maya, maybe he doesn't" dance. I just feel terrible for Maya in all this.

Next Class season 2 (I'll have to do the rest of these from memory because I recently rewatched season 1 but have yet to get to seasons 2-4):

1.) #ToMyFutureSelf: I don't think I thought this episode was bad. I think it was just kind of underwhelming? Small things bugged me, but the plots weren't terrible. Lola was insufferable in this one. Five minutes after being educated about institutionalized racism, she lectures and shames Shay for considering sending an apology letter for taking part in the protest. Even Tiny understood. It's just one reason I'll never be a fan of this friendship. I barely feel like Shay and Lola like or respect each other. This was also the awkward plot where Maya had a thing for Peter of all people and was rubbing up against him on stage. Gross. Craig and Sav were right there and presumably single. Definitely one of the cruelest things the writers ever did to Maya.

2.) #TheseAreMyConfessions: I don't even know who Grace is during this episode. For some reason, she really wants to go on a summer road trip with Zig and is trying to become his girlfriend without having a proper conversation with either Maya or Zig about it, telling both of them things like "I think Zig's ready to move on" with it being clear that Maya assumes it will be with Esme because she actually knows him while Zig is told Maya's cool with a Zig/Grace coupling when she has no idea any of this shit is happening. I still remember watching this episode for the first time at like 5:00 AM over a stream from Australia because they were randomly airing this season first with my jaw dropped in disbelief. Grace finally got an A plot after all the bullshit and confusion and that's what she was given.

3.) #SquadGoals: Mostly, I just like the other episodes from this season better. I think it was a better season premiere than #BootyCall, but the plots mostly didn't keep me engaged. The aftermath of Zaya's breakup with Zig showing up at Maya's window was bittersweet knowing things between them were still pretty thoroughly broken and that there was zero chance of anything improving without time and distance away from each other. Otherwise, it's a pretty Hollingsworth heavy episode. I hate Hunter, and I cared less and less about Frankie with time. The Triles moment was sweet, though.

Next Class season 3:

1.) #HugeIfTrue: The thing about season 3 is that all of the episodes are good, so there aren't very many writing complaints from me. That might change when I rewatch the season. But out of all ten episodes, I liked this one least. I know it's a fan favorite, but I didn't love any of the story lines. I don't care about the gamers' dick sizes. Frankie and Jonah were never a compelling couple. The Shay/Tiny friction needed and deserved more screen time so that it could be understood where both were coming from. Shay at times didn't accept all of Tiny and it was unclear when that changed for her or if she was projecting due to her own insecurities about sex. Poor Tiny was mostly a peripheral character despite the fact he had loads of potential. And finally, I just don't like Mola. I've never felt the magic or been impressed by Miles's fourth consecutive romance with the only person that understands him. I do love that this is a bottle episode, though. It was well written and executed. It's just not a favorite of mine.

2.) #ThatFeelingWhen: Again, this is a good episode. I just like it less than most of the other season 3 episodes. I still don't like Miles and Lola together, so their part of the episode makes me cringe. But otherwise, Zoe and Rasha getting together was sweet, I liked Frankie beginning to realize relationships bring out the worst in her and (massive unpopular opinion) I was glad to see Tristan finally wake up.

3.) #PicsOrItDidntHappen: I keep repeating myself, but this was another good episode. Maya's plot was fantastic. I liked the other two plots slightly less. Miles was unnecessarily a dick to Rasha and seriously cast himself in a play that had only three parts. I'm never getting over that. I don't love watching Frankie and Jonah story lines. I'm really stretching to find reasons.

Next Class season 4:

1.) #ILookLikeA: I feel bad when I shit on episodes with really strong Miles plots just because the others are mostly terrible or forgettable in some way. Again, I will never like or care about Hunter. I'm not interested in his reaction to Yael's gender identity journey. I was also indifferent to Goldi and Winston hooking up. Otherwise, Miles's plot was great. I just wish the writers had bothered to touch on Tristan's biphobia because the opportunity was RIGHT THERE to resolve it.

2.) #GetMoney: I feel like the first half of season 4 is slightly weaker than the second half. This is still a good episode. But no plots jump out at me as being great. Saad's is probably the best one, but it's mostly set up for stuff that happens later in the season. Shay's story line didn't grab me as much as I wanted it to, but maybe that will change when I rewatch season 4.

3.) #GetYouAManWhoCanDoBoth: There's nothing wrong with this episode. It's just kind of average considering 405-407 and 409 and 410 are some of Next Class's strongest episodes. I actually like Tristan's story line, but I'll always be disappointed this was all we got of his recovery. His character was put in a coma almost entirely in service of Miles's plot. So as a result, whatever development he has is kind of relegated to this one episode because the writers gave him nothing else. The subplots are pretty good. The Lola/Saad stuff was mostly setup while the aftermath of Shay and Tiny's first time is mostly just there to give Richard Walters an excuse to dance. So, I can't complain.

ROY KENT? toxic masculinity-roy fuckin kent? oh hell nah, sorry in advance, this is gonna be long, you just jinxed yourself mentioning that. ;_; whoever said that did NOT watch enough of that boy because his masculinity is beautiful and there's genuinely nothing toxic about it at all. like, we did not watch him suck all his bitchiness up to have a relationship with his girl just for him to get called toxic. not to mention...

FIRST on my list of his display's of butchness: this is Roy "I gave my girlfriend head while she watched a video of me crying my head off" fuckin Kent! Y'all are not gonna pin him for toxic masculinity, c'mon. If that ain't the most butch-ass shit I've ever heard of...

SECOND: I'd put a lot more weight into the suggestion of toxic masculinity if he'd stayed the way he'd been at the beginning of the show but this is a man who grew a fuck-ton even in just the first couple episodes, not to mention throughout the show (which I haven't finished).

He's not a bully, which is surprising for such a hyper-masculine character. Hair as far as the eye can see, with a beard, furry thighs and arms, a low growly voice-But for all his swearing and other foul language, he isn't a bully. He doesn't pretend, he says no, and he sets clear boundaries, but even with children who he has loads of power over, he's very careful to never cross the line into bullying. He jokes, clearly knowing the children, barking orders and playing ball. He has a niece and even though he doesn't understand the book wrinkle in time, he reads it to her and only after getting three quarters through does he go to ted to demand what the fuck its supposed to be about.

THIRD: the way sometimes he looses speech and yet he STILL. FUCKING. COMMUNICATES. beautiful. Which rolls straight into FOUR, which is the way he communicates! He's very clear, very blunt, obviously. But its not just that. Its how as we get to know Roy Kent, more and more, we see how when he gets overwhelmed or annoyed, he often steps back from the situation so that he doesn't blow his temper at someone he likes or someone who doesn't deserve it...which is very, dare I say it? chivalrous! Its not a word you think when you think of roy kent, but he is! He's chivalrous! He isn't quite comfortable around rebecca, think of early season 2, but when he sees she needs it, he tells her she deserves the goddamn world in a partner, not just "fine", and he didn't tell her that because he had to! Keeley would've left it and he could've gotten away with a minimal answer. He told her because she deserved to hear it and he knew that and he's a fucking kind person!

just like that time at the end of season 1 when he and keeley were photographed by that man and he stole the photos and then handed them to keeley and gave the man back his camera. he could've smashed the fuckin camera. he's exactly the type of person to smash the camera! but he didn't. why? because they cost a shit-ton of money and because he wanted keeley to have photos of their first date. ;_; its called CHIVALRY. which. is. BUTCH. AS. FUCK. need i go on?

roy kent's masculinity is beautiful, it's a joy to behold, it's butch as hell, thank you, i hope you don't mind me dropping an essay in your askbox, sorry abt that.

OH SHIT YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED IT. you haven’t seen what they did to my bestie in the finale 😭😭 how they MALIGNED his NAME — if you do watch it come hmu though bc holy shit am i still livid.

anyway. yes to all of this!!!!! especially how he communicates while also losing speech <3333 i get so fucking upset every time someone calls him repressed bc like. he literally isn’t!!! he’s very aware of & in touch with his emotions!!!!!!!!!! what he is is stoic & it’s bc 1) he’s autistic 2) y’all are assholes. like. i feel like fucking crying every time i think about the scene in s1 when he’s just been benched: keeley’s excited but kind of impatient “oh, so you are ready to talk about real stuff now!!” and the way it makes it seem like a bad thing for him to need some time to process. & then her really sarcastic & dismissive response when he says how scared he is of losing what the entire fucking country has made his sole identity:

I think men that feel sorry for themselves are so sexy. And if you start telling me how hard it is that you play a game for a living, I think I might come.

i see fucking red!!!!!!! the show multiple times (including in the finale) belittles his feelings and/or throws away his characterization and then treats that like a #Feminist moment. & like in the previous example, yeah keeley prompts phoebe to say how she sees roy & that’s a sweet moment, but keeley never actually apologizes or says how she sees or thinks of roy outside of sex.

& then in s3 honestly his apology letter to her made me feel ill. like there’s a difference between owning your shit — which i do think she deserved an apology for him breaking up with her out of nowhere — and saying everything is your fault. that’s not growth, that’s still self-hatred. and like i understand keeley was going through a lot but i don’t think it was fair to him for him to confess his love & her fuck him while like. presumably knowing she doesn’t want to get back together.

i’m also so fucking livid about the show comparing roy and FUCKING RUPERT????? in that scene, again for some sort of shallow #GirlBoss moment. fuck that fuck the writers fuck like most of the fan attitudes i’ve seen.

also the way the “roy is sorry for not understanding keeley” scene is played — yeah, he should’ve communicated better, but she just started yelling at him out of nowhere & revealed she’d been complaining about him being clingy to all their colleagues. and she never apologizes for not talking to him sooner & her bottling her feelings until she exploded at him???? instead he apologizes for doing….. something she’d never told him she had a problem with.

i’m working on a fic about this aspect but the show has no fucking sympathy for his becoming disabled and it’s so transparent. obviously ted lasso in general is really bad at acknowledging systemic issues — “just be a goodfish!!” :))) — it’s a liberal show & you should overcome adversity by individual work ie therapy & forgiving your oppressors. but like there’s literally no acknowledgment after that scene when he gets shut down by keeley in s1 of how ableism affects roy’s self-image.

as a disabled person whose mobility impairment started with a knee issue in sports, i also think the show did a fucking shit job with his disability in general. like they played it for a laugh — you might not have watched 3x11 yet so feel free to skip this paragraph but “i played injured all the time / you can’t go up stairs!!” followed by jamie still playing injured to, what, make a point about forgiveness?? shows how fucking seriously they took that, and roy was walking up stairs earlier in that very episode.

similarly, “everybody run to the bus… except roy!” earlier in s3 was an emotional moment for me bc like oh they’re acknowledging how this affects his life!! …..and then they showed him running (on pavement!!!) with jamie all the fucking time. like sure not every knee issue is the same as mine, okay, whatever, but either be consistent or throw in a line about him having a good day today or something. jesus fucking christ it’s so ableist & careless & disrespectful.

anyway my hot take is that as they’re written, keeley & roy shouldn’t be together not because, as brenden fucking hunt put it, “he has work he needs to do on himself first,” but because she doesn’t respect him & fundamentally you can’t make compromises with people who think how you are is wrong.

i do really like keeley especially in s1, i think a lot of this is fuck-ups on the writers’ parts that keeley were she a real person either wouldn’t have done or would’ve apologized for. but as it’s written? fucking yikes.

anyway that got really off track from your thoughts lol but i absolutely adored reading this, it was a delight & i would love to hear more any time 💓💓💓

2023 drama year in review

Okay, this year I'm really late. But better late than never, right?

Joining the pantheon of my favorites:

The Glory--The highs of this drama made me feel like I'd taken a hit of whatever not-found-in-nature strain of pot Sa Ra was on.

Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san--Sweet, heart-warming, gentle. Its kindness made me cry!

Revenant--Just a satisfying, scary, sad, immaculately produced, wonderfully acted ghost story. In terms of sheer quality it may be the drama of the year.

Quite good:

Bad Mom--I loved how complex the character dynamics were here and wish the show would have gone more in-depth into them? Like, this mother gave her son an eating disorder (and was overall incredibly emotionally abusive), and by the end all is forgiven. Mi Joo hides from Kang Ho that he is a father, telling their kids all sorts of lies about their dad, and ultimately everything's okay and they're going to live happily ever after (we didn't even get the scene of them telling the kids, which was truly all I wanted). I'm glad for these characters that love was able to triumph over everything for them, but the genuine darkness of the beginning (especially that first episode, yikes!) primed me for something that was perhaps a bit more messy that this ultimately was. Still, a really enjoyable watch.

The Matchmakers--This one snuck up on me! Fun, funny, and disarmingly sweet.

Moon in the Day--Persuasively makes the argument that dating a corpse reanimated by a 1500-year-old ghost is a great life choice.

Moving--A great show about how dads are hot. I can't believe I spent the whole show waiting for JIS to be reunited with his family and meet his grown up son and the minute he does the camera zooms out and that's it and we see nothing.

My Dearest--"How much amnesia is too much?" is, it would seem, a question this writer has never asked. And yet, it was still pretty incredible. I just wish the last few episodes had lived up to everything that came before.

Perfect Marriage Revenge--I love a drama that knows exactly what it is and is determined to have fun with it.

Not bad:

Crash Course in Romance--There's simply nothing better than grown-up romance. And nothing worse than pointless serial killer plots.

The Forbidden Marriage--Ridiculously charming when it didn't pretend to care about the plot.

My Lovely Liar--"Spoiler" really was a banger.

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract--Poor Joseon Tae Ha really got a raw deal, huh?

WHY??!?!?

Joseon Attorney--I liked the part where the king decided to kill WDH's sister and never apologized for it and everybody, including WDH, was totally cool with it.

Lady Durian--Every episode was an out of body experience in terms of pure, glorious weirdness.

Our Blooming Youth--Every episode felt very long and yet also like nothing had happened. Which is also what the drama felt like.

Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3--So bad. So dumb. But Kim Sabu continues to have a smile that keeps me coming back for more.

Secret Romantic Guesthouse--It's certainly a bold choice to have your male lead be your least compelling character and performance. Kang Hoon is a star and a half and it's time for him level out of supporting roles.

See You in My 19th Life--It was okay (SHS great as always), but once I read the synopsis of the webtoon, I couldn't understand why that wasn't the plot of the drama.
