GUYS OMG I JUST SAW MY FIRST MUSICAL. my Highschool did a Percy Jackson musical and OH MY GOSH I was BLOWN away. now you get to hear about it (please keep in mind I have only read the first book, which is what the musical was anyways but it was YEARS ago and I don’t think I even completely finished it SOOO. also spoilers ig?)

Percy did so well and his solos and singing was so beautiful and he really portrayed his emotions so clearly and he was SO FUNNY FKTJRKWNDNFNNE LIKE OMG IF IT WASNT A THEATRE ID BE ROLLING

Grover did a fabulous job as well! He was also incredibly funny and I just love the little sidekick bestie vibes he’s got he’s so silly :)

ANNABETH omg. she did so well! she really got her emotions out there and her need to impress her mom and WOW THE FIGHT SCENE AT MEDUSA’S HOUSE WITH PERCY OR WHATEVER it was so intense! she slayed SO HARD and she was also a FANTASTIC DANCER YEA GIRLBOSSSS

luke! omg luke! HE DID AMAZINGGG I LOVED HIM HE ROCKED THAT ROLE SO WELL. I forgot he was the lightning thief so the betrayal scene was SHOCKING (HAHAHA IM SO FUNNY)!!! I really loved how he did him he completely fooled me with the friendly camp counselor or whatever he was I forgot JDJJSJRFKSJ BUT HE BLEW ME AWAY I LOVED THE FIGHT SCENE WITH HIM AND PERCY

so they had a scene and whatever with the farrier in the underworld AAAAHAHA THE FARRIER WAS SO AWESOME. SHE SLAYED THAT SO DANG HARD AND HER MUSICAL NUMBER WAS MY FAVORITE. THE REST OF THE ENSEMBLE SLAYED THE CHOREOGRAPHY IN THAT SCENE AND I WAS JAMMING ALONGGGG‼️‼️ it was such a funny scene and I hold it dear!!

HADES ISTG HADES. he had SUCH A DRAMATIC SCENE AND I CHEERED SO LOUD (dw everyone else did too) and he ROCKED IT SO WELL he perfected that snarky antagonist that doesn’t really care but still has motive and bonus of being a pain in the butt! and he drawled SO WELL I KID YOU NOT HE HAD ME CAPTIVATED. I LOVED his part!!!

dude… Poseidon… LMFAOOO IM DEADD. they had him portrayed as some dude in a Hawaiian shirt THE ACTOR DUDE I WAS ROLLING HE WAS SO FREAKING HILARIOUS. he kinda had that low chill surfer dude voice and he had THE FUNNIEST BITS especially at the end when he reunited with Percy and his mom. I love that take on his character. I’m PRETTY sure he’s not like that in the book 😂😂

And Percy’s mom was awesome too! her singing was GORGEOUS and I loved her moments with Percy :) not much to say other than SHE DID AMAZING‼️

BRO I CANT GET OVER THE TRIO THO. their bits were HILARIOUS and they definitely held those “stupid besties that r probably doomed but we’re rocking this anyway” vibe that ANY good book/movie main group holds AHDHEJRIE THEY WERE HILARIOUS. Dude Percy and annabeth did amazing together and Grover was so SPUNKY YES and the ENSEMBLE THEMSELVES AAAAAA I CANTTTTT ESPECIALLY IN THE UNDERWORLD SCENE THEY ALL HAD SPUNKY OUTFITS AND THE DANCING WAS AWESOME!!!! THE CAMP HALF BLOOD SCENES WERE ALSO SO COOL AND IM RUNNING OUT OF COMPLIMENTS BUT LMFAO THEY HAD A BIT WHERE THEY SANG ABOUT THEIR GOD PARENT AND ALL OF THEM JUST SLIGHTLY INSULTING THEM TO FULL ON INSULTS WAS BEAUTIFUL.

overall, this was a great experience for me! I could really tell all the love and passion the students/actors had for this and I appreciate that they wanted to share with me and the audience members! It was a magical thing and I wish them all a FABULOUS JOB because they DESERVE IT‼️‼️‼️💖💖💖💖💖 they really made my whole week and I might even consider joining theatre too :D

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. ALSO WHY IS THIS SO LONGA SDFJHG

- jason isnt bland, the fandom just kinda erased his backstory (thanks to @pjohoo-memes for the phrasing lol)

- reynabeth wouldnt have lasted/would have broken up several times. idk i just see them as two extremely powerful characters who have firm opinions and will definitely clash at some point. in a platonic relationship,, i can see them as really good friends but as lovers? idk i just think theyll break up

- the fandom needs to stop hating on octavian while worshipping luke. if u hate luke and u say u hate octavian too, then okay. but if u tell me ure a luke stan but u despise octavian?? imma disagree w u. luke was worse than octavian im sorry. first of all, octavian being a dick was kinda justified. hes been after the praetor position for so long, and everyone keeps saying to “wait for jason” when suddenly this dude, whos a son of NEPTUNE (neptune wasnt liked much by romans), and the camp decides to make him praetor?? dude i would be pissed off big time. and then afterwards, he finds out that greek demigods are real and the dude they made praetor is greek. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear 

- luke didnt go to elysium

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.

- the floor 19 crew of mcga is srsly underrated. like do u even remember halfborn gunderson, mallory keen, tj, etc??? bc i feel like we only remember samirah, magnus, alex, and sometimes blitz and hearthstone

- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while

- tkc and mcga need more love

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes 

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

the demigods burst into intense chatter and discussion once more

you turn your head back to your siblings and tilt your head in slight confusion

a few summers ago the apollo cabin defeated the entire camp leaving everybody speechless

it’s true they didn’t defeat JUST you but somehow you thought it was personal

but bc of the apollo kids your cabin’s record was tarnished

which is sorta why you started hating them (esp donghyuck their leader) so much

donghyuck caught on immediately and made it a point to compete just as hard as u

you only have 30 minutes so you need to make the best of it

you divide the two cabins into pairs so that an athena and an apollo kid will be paired together and in charge of smth diff

you have plenty of people on your team – 5 in athena’s cabin and 5 in apollo’s cabin

some will handle weapons and safety gear, some will handle mapping out the playing area which was basically the entirety of the woods, some will be setting up traps near your team’s flag to prevent others from coming close

30 minutes quickly pass and after dividing the work and planning your strategy with donghyuck and friends you turn your attention back to chiron who has his megaphone in hand

everyone’s told to gather outside the dining hall at the open field before the game commences

you, donghyuck, and your teammates briefly talk strategy once more . just to make sure everybody knows what they’re supposed to do

“let the game begin!” chiron blows a loud whistle and the demigods scramble out of the field, going to their designated flag locations

your spot is near a little creek, but the forest around your flag is quite dense so u figure it’s relatively hard to locate

it’s not that late so the afternoon sun makes your skin glisten with sweat

“damn, can you tell your dad to chill tf out for a while,” you tell donghyuck jokingly

he just rolls his eyes but on the inside he’s kinda glad you’re being casual with him rather than 😡😡😡😡😡 like u normally are

u don’t know what it is about him today but u swear he’s acting different around u

he wasn’t… as annoying while discussing strategy ????

it’s like the colour of sunflowers

you and donghyuck r in charge of guarding the flag while ur team members scout around for the other flags

easy peasy

you and donghyuck are at your base now, weapons drawn just in case

the flag is hung on a poll couple feet taller than you

you’re dressed in ur usual training clothes – a pair of washed out shorts, a very old orange camp half-blood shirt; your sword’s sheath hanging from one of the belt loops of your shorts

donghyuck’s dressed similarly – a pair of blue ripped jeans, the same orange camp shirt tucked into them, but he has a purple flannel on, which he takes off and ties around his waist

“it’s so freaking hot,” he says, mentally agreeing with the comment u made about apollo earlier

“tell me about it”

there’s a silence that follows, the only sound heard is the subtle flow of the creek water

you’re thankful for the silence

it’s easier to keep an ear open for opponents on their way to steal your flag

just as you think about it, an ares and a hades kid approach your base

they’re on the other side of the creek, less than ten to fifteen feet away

“hi y/n,” the hades kid you’re kind of close to says

you shoot him a fake smile before holding your sword in front of you

donghyuck pulls out an arrow from his quiver and nocks it in his bow, aiming for the two demigods in front of you

the creek isn’t that deep, so the two demigods cross it with ease

they have their weapons drawn; they’re now a couple of feet away from you and more importantly the flag

no words are said as donghyuck lets his arrow fly and knock the hades’ kid sword out of his hands

he didn’t use an arrow with a sharp tip, you note

the hades’ kid stumbles backwards, imbalanced after he gets unarmed

you stand your ground as the ares’ kid scrambles forward, attacking you with her sword

your blades clash defiantly

you continue to spar with all your might

from the corner of your eye you see that the hades’ kid, sword back in hand, is battling donghyuck on your left

the flag is right behind you and donghyuck; you can’t let the two demigods get near it

you and the ares kid are still battling each other, putting all your strength into making sure she surrenders

but u should know better

ares and athena kids have many similarities like their love for winning, their confidence in battle, etc.

it’s like looking in a mirror

you don’t have anything against this particular ares kid, though

“c’mon, y/n, give up already”

that REALLY makes your blood boil

you never give up, no matter what

with one final blow of your sword, you knock her sword out of her hands, making her think she distracted you with her words

she goes flying back, half her body landing in the creek water

her sword lies in between you and her, but you doubt she’ll have the courage to fight again

the hades kid sees this and quickly scrambles away from hyuck, picking up the ares kid’s sword and giving her a hand up

“this is why i hate you and your siblings–your huge ego always gets in the way,” you hear the hades kid grumble to his partner as they run away from you, shame written all over their defeat

hyuck laughs and wipes sweat from his forehead

you can’t help but laugh either

you love it here at 🧡 camp half-blood 🧡

a few moments pass as your teammates emerge from the dense woods, each pair with a different colour flag held between them

you smile in victory

you quickly bring down your flag from its pole and give it to hyuck

“me? it was your plan…”

“yeah, but i couldn’t have done it without you, hyuck”

he almost passes out at your choice of nickname

back at the main hall, chiron announces your team as the winner, and that the prize yall being excused from doing chores all week long!!!!

it’s not much, but hey, at least you and hyuck ended up working together and winning the game, right?

later, hyuck pulls you aside from your cabin mates, and walks you to the lakeside

you two sit at the deck, side by side, watching the water doing nothing in particular

you watch as hyuck swings his feet lightly, his toes barely touching the water

“y/n, do you hate me?” donghyuck asks out of the blue

you’re like 😳 what

now that he asks you that . like straight up . it makes u think

Ok so Everyone knows that percico is my OTP and i’m planning to write an story so please be a little more patient writing is hard AF. Stories about the other ships will be here soon too. but i’m going to give you some answers of why i ship them of how they came to be.

percico, yeah the story is coming and all that yada yada, the reason i ship them is because ...it’s kind of funny but before i read pjo i start looking at pjo ship and so the only name i remembered at the time was percico so i search it and it was kind of my favorite ship. then i read pjo and i realize they wheren’t canon and i got sad i’m not gonna lie. i continue reading the saga and i was still in the percico side, i did like percabeth but percico always was my number one ( and i got more attach because i got identify with nico cause i fell in love with a daughter of poseidon*cough* what?). and so like the fangirl i was i when to tumblr and search for fan art and stuff, viria became my number one artist and i praised tora and koe (cosplayers of Percy and Nico) and so on, so on. When i finish reading hoo i was disappointed of how all the love that nico had for percy and the bonding percy and nico had just.. puff disappear. Cause everyone that ship percy and nico know they have a lot of potential and they can be a amazing and cute couple because they complement so good each other. And so the percico become my ultimate OTP and that’s why i do all this art and the ask, cause the percico needs more love.

Jasiper!. i really don’t have much to say about them, they appear in Hoo and i just in an instant i loved the pairing. they made so good chemistry and how Jason is there for Piper and Piper for Jason, how they worry for each other just! awww <3.  i liked pipabeth and jeyna too but idk, it just wasn’t my cup of tea and i stick with the canon. Sorry pipabeth and jeyna fans maybe next time.

Reynabeth Ok this one does need a lot of explanation cause reyna and Annabeth don’t interact a lot in the books and they don’t have really a lot of bonding moments. At first i didn’t know who would have made good chemistry with annabeth, yeah percy does have chemistry with her but that’s not the point. I thought about pipabeth but then again the Jasiper was there and my head was like “don’t move my jasiper”. so i didn’t. I start to think about the character of pjo and then i remember Reyna, at first i wasn’t that convinced about it but then i remember how in the book Annabeth trust Reyna and so my mind start to move. Annabeth being scared and insecure because of tatarus and Reyna being the one that is there for her and sing her some lullaby song so Annabeth could sleep and Annabeth being there for Reyna when she talk about her heart broken. how they would make a good team in battle and how both would protect each other with there life. I think you get what i’m thinking. how both can complement each other pretty well. so i ship it and it came to be part of the percicovers

Franzel IT’S THE MOST ADORABLE AND CUTE COUPLE I HAVE EVER SEE, IT’S IMPOSIBLE NOT SHIP THEM. oh! and the Hazel and Leo ship ( idk how does it call) is an adorable and cute ship too. i kind of ship them too but sorry, the canon win in this one.

Willeo i don’t really know who exactly they came to be but i do remember reading the Hoo books and looking at the caleo ship, no offence it’s a good and cute ship but i didn’t like it, i don’t know they just...they didn’t connect in my head. “But Dragon they have a lot of chemistry yada yada yada” I know they have chemistry. that’s why i say it’s a good ship. but still, i just... i didn’t do click for me. And i was like, I’m not going to leave Leo alone?!. leave my baby without a couple and feel like the 7 wheel again?! nu-uh! so i thought and thought! who can be with leo?. Will solace came to my head and i start work!. how they can be a really good couple cause they both cinnamon rolls. Leo is a mechanic so that’s mean he have to work with a lot of heavy things and stuff, and it’s obvious that he would hurt himself with something soon or late. and i imaginate Will being worry and become overprotective everytime he hurt himself and evertime leo comes to his cabin he don’t let no one touch Leo, cause he is his doctor and no one else. Leo being afraid of feeling thing for Will cause loving someone of the same sex where he come from is wrong and Will being there to comfort him and helping him to love himself and be proud of who he is. And i’m not going to say a lot of details cause i’m going to write how they came to be too so please wait.

Louchel or Rachellen. I truly think i have to tell you a real reason why i ship them and stuff but this one really doesn’t have a lot of story. i just thought “the oracle and a daughter of hecate would be a pretty cool ship” and i ship them. no biggy.

Thalypso so since Leo is with Will i was like....”wait Calypso is alone!!” i was not going to leave my babe alone. so i thought about who was the one that didn’t have a couple yet. Thalia Grace “Oh yeah i see where this can go pretty well! Brain go back to work!” Calypso just got tired of boys broking her heart and she was just like “Fuck it no more boyfriends” , Leo and she still friend tho don’t worry. Thalia came to the camp to visit and become friend with Calypso, Thalia helps Calypso cure her broken heart and Calypso just feel in love with her. Leo was the first one that notice and he just bother her with it a lot. Calypso was the first one that notice that Leo fell in love with Will , so she could bother him too. But of course Thalia is a hunter of Artemis so she has to go and Calypso was sad so she just “Thalia!!, can i come with you?!!” “ oh..hm....are you sure?” “I am!” “ok then” and so yeah Calypso turn into a hunter too and the Thalypso came to be.
