In the episode 'Timephoon', Gyro explained to Scrooge and family he'd been ("definitely not") cloning an army when his Time Tub was mysteriously stolen. It's my headcanon that Gyro created this batch of clones in 'Timephoon' specifically to protect him and the lab after the events of 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee', instead of necessarily just because he could or on a mad scientist whim.

'Timephoon' (where this screenshot is from) was the next episode Gyro appeared in after 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee' where the poor guy ended up locked inside a closet and then electrocuted, his lab's security compromised, and the whole lab totally destroyed. During the part of 'Dangerous Chemistry' where Gandra was standing next to the closet collaborating on the phone with her partner-in-crime Mark Beaks, Gyro overheard her and frantically tried to alert Lil Bulb and Manny ("You imbeciles! It's a trap! They're trapping us!"), and Gandra knocked him out to keep him quiet.

After the events of 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee', I like to think Gyro decided to clone an army to protect both himself and his lab/top-secret inventions from thieves, spies, or any other intruders in future in case security was ever breached again.

(I don't know if he created even more clones for the Moonvasion, or if he scrapped these ones at some point and created an entirely new batch for the Moonvasion)

And now!! The final OC that I have created so far!! Dr. Santiago Cabrera or as Fenton would call him: P'pa!! That's right!! He's Fenton's father! The main question I have always pondered was what exactly happened to Fenton's dad in the show. All we knew about him was that M'ma could have been a widow because she still kept his tuxedo that Fenton ultimately wears in The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee. For the story, Fenton had to have had a reason for his love of science, so I made it so that his father was a well respected scientist in his field! Not only that, but he also was Gyro's lab partner that he doesn't talk about much, but is the most likely reason he is so harsh on Fenton despite him being the only intern helping Gyro. That's because he feels guilty for not clearing his name when Dr. Akita accused and blamed him for the result of B.O.Y.D's attack on Tokyolk. As a result, he tried to expose Dr. Akita, but he "killed" him to cover himself up. Santiago spent most of his life in hiding, fearing to return back home and be ostracized by the community. But when his son finds him again after a trip back, he brings him back home to a joyous reunion with M'ma!! It wasn't all bad in Tokyolk though, as Santiago learned to speak fluent Japanese, and even get japanese kanji tattoos on his body to remember his devotion to his family, holding out hope that they still remember him! In terms of design, he looks pretty much like his son, but old and starting to show his wrinkles! I've seen many theories that Fenton's dad is actually the original Fenton from the original 87 cartoon. While he looks like Fenton in the DT17 verse, his hairstyle is close to the 87 version!

For at least a few weeks after the events of the finale, Gandra lived with Fenton and his mom, sort of for protection/emotional support reasons. Once a week, Fenton and Gandra cook dinner to give M’ma a break (and I’d like to think they’re both more than competent in the kitchen).

🍦 Name three good things about a character you hate.

I don’t necessarily hate him (and definitely not as a character), I just think he kinda sucks as a person: Mark Beaks.

1. He’s a good parody of IRL billionaires (especially the likes of Elon Musk).

2. He’s a massive OTT ham.

3. He can be genuinely threatening sometimes (like when he kidnapped Huey and Webby in The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee!).

Hi, I read your TSOF fanfic and I enjoyed and that twist of how the white swan and Aphrodite were the same person shocked me. It made me wonder of how the story would turn if they weren't the same person.

And I saw you had plans for Loopy, mind spoiling a lil about it?

I actually don't mind spoiling it a little, because while Loopy is going to be a character that I'll explore later, she's not going to be a big spoiler.

So, do you guys remember the scene in "The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee" where Launchpad gives Fenton dating advice. Here, let me refresh your memories (and sorry about the caption mistakes because they're from Youtube):

Well, it's a headcannon of mine that Launchpad has dated quite a few girls and had many adventures that weren't part of working with Scrooge and the Duck family. We saw that a bit when they all went to China to help Gladstone (deadly ninja??) and when he took Huey and Dewey to see Fethry (forbidden mermaid), and in TSoF, Launchpad had dated one of the nine muses (unbeknownst to him). Well, here is where I've connected Loopy to cannon DT17.

Meet Loopy (character design might change in the future), a genetically altered clone of Launchpad. I haven't perfected her backstory, but she was created in a very similar way as Webby and her clones were made by the same scientist, and much like Webby's clones, she had been aged forward until she was the same age as Launchpad when they met (pre-DT17). When Launchpad and Loopy met and dated, neither were aware of their...genetic relationship, but once they did, they decided to just be friends.

I'm still working on her personality and specifics, especially since I don't want her to be completely identical to Launchpad but still have a lot of things in common (nature vs nuture kind of thing). What I've come up so far is that she doesn't like flying planes, but she does like flying in general. Because of this, she learned some basic mechanic skills and joined up with a group of air privateers (basically pirates that people could hire to do things, mostly employed by the government).

So I realized that most of the things that I post or reblogged on here are about Rise of the TMNT and while I love that show to bits, I realized that I haven't talked nearly enough about my first love/obsession and that is Ducktales 2017.

Sadly as the show has been over for over a year now, I'm not into it as I used to be. Yet, I still read some fanfics and still love the characters, especially my boys: Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

I have decided to do a rankings list of the show. That being said, I haven't seen an episode in a while but my rankings are pretty much firmly in place. So, in this post, I analyzed how Gyro's fairly mild reaction to Fenton's sudden presence in the lab at the end of 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee' after the horrid night he had (and the fact that he didn't fire him for everything after that episode) seemed proof of how much he cared about and respected Fenton a lot more than he let on.

Something I very briefly mentioned in that post is something else that always sticks out to me about their interaction at the end of that episode. And that's Gyro's words to Fenton when he climbed out of the closet he'd been trapped in, onto the second-story platform, and says in surprise and irritation upon suddenly seeing him: "You. What do you think you're doing here? Shouldn't you be Gizmoducking around out there?"

Although he was being his typical irritable self, it's my headcanon that Gyro actually meant 'Oh, now you're here? Where was Gizmoduck when I actually needed him earlier tonight??'

I mean, he had no idea Fenton had been in the lab at all that night, especially not that Fenton took over the place behind Gyro's back in an attempt to impress his date by pretending it was his lab. All poor Gyro knew was that he'd been alone in the lab with nobody else but Lil Bulb and Manny, and that he'd suddenly found himself locked inside a closet by an unseen stranger when he was likely already inside with his back turned, then overheard a spy plotting on the phone with their partner-in-crime (which was obviously Gandra to Mark Beaks, when Fenton was preoccupied talking to Huey and Webby about his date), then got electrocuted into unconsciousness and locked back up. When he finally regained consciousness and escaped, the first thing to greet his sight was Fenton just working on some project. From Gyro's pov, he was probably irritated that Fenton/Gizmoduck didn't show up a lot earlier when the security of his lab- and his wellbeing- had been compromised!

I’m curious: when does everyone think the “This Duckburg Life” podcast takes place, chronologically speaking? 

We know it takes place after the events of “The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee” - or at least, the third episode takes place after then, since Huey references the fact that Mark Beaks left him and Webby on top of a building. But other than that, we don’t really get a sense of when these podcast episodes take place, especially with things like the lack of Della even being mentioned.

So, when do you all think these podcasts were done, in-universe? During Season 2? Between Seasons 2 and 3? During Season 3? Sometime post series? A mix of any of these?
