they actually do bring that up in 7-13! we don't get to see their dreams, but they mention that STYX has woken up the staff members and is having them help wake up the rest of the students + island residents (in the 'still in the dreamworld but mentally awake' way, I don't think anyone was physically able to wake up until Mal dropped the spell?)

Idia's the one calling most of the shots right now though, and he left them out of his attack plan on purpose because he knew they'd be concerned about little things like "endangering student lives" and "this is not a plan so much as an ill-thought-out series of ideas" and "you are a literal teenager, I don't think you should be in charge of figuring out how to deal with this global emergency situation". it's like they don't even CARE about how cool it looks when Phantom Ortho rocket-punches Malleus in the face. 😔
