Whew, I'm so glad I got it done in time!! Here's my entry for bahbahhh's DTIYS! Shoutout to the absolutely amazing #thedepthsau that this incredibly talented creator did for Linktober this year! @bahbahhh, thank you so much for sharing your talents with us; your Linktober this year was such a fun thing to see each day, and I am so, SO excited for the continuation! My character list for my Depths AU (species and age) is done,,, it may not be much but it's something! Adding ages just helps solidify character identity y'know? I've had their species picked out for about two years or however old this thing is and like ONE VC, lol!

Anyways, super excited to actually get this thing rolling. I wrote out a little correspondence at work but need to go back over it before posting it or anything, haha.

I MADE MY IDEA! Spitfire AU

So this has been rattling around in my head for a while. Essentially it’s and AU based on the idea of the RISE boys having Nepo dragons as a fun combo between the 2003 dragon forms and the mystic magic of the RISE universe

I tried to take inspiration from the 2003 designs but also alter them to fit the RISE turtles personalities and powers

I’m working on developing this idea more (things like names and how this would run in the RISE universe) but I’m so happy I actually got to draw them ( ´ ▽ ` )

DAY 31 - FREE FOR ALL

“How far are you willing to go for this?” Impa had recently asked him. Link stares down at the chasm. Five years later and the earth is still scorched black, a fingerprint left behind from the gloom. It’s a consuming darkness that waits for him. Without Rauru’s arm, he won’t be able to activate any new lightroots he finds. He won’t be able to teleport back out, either. He refused a Purah Pad when she offered him one. Technology, no matter who it belongs to, has brought him nothing but suffering. Things were so much simpler when he was Wild. He thinks about Zelda. That final, horrifying image of her. Knuckles bleached white, clinging to the Master Sword as her body started to swell with power, scales crawling across her skin, eyes bulging until they turned purple, her spine stretching and twisting and bending. After he does this—he stands on the very edge of the crater, so close he can feel the breath of that darkness, hear hit hitch in anticipation of his offering—there will be no turning back. But when Zelda swallowed the secret stone, there was no turning back, either. He bet the agonizing seconds before the light dragon burst forth from inside her felt like an eternity; like this moment does now. How far would will he go? For her, to the depths. The depths of everything.

Finding Zelda and the heart of the Depths…

Impa and Grannie would still lead Zelda and Link through their respective journeys, the latent power of the gods building within them until they both are powerful enough to create the Secret Stones of Time and Spirit respectively to use against Demise.

When Zelda seals herself away, she creates the Light Roots all throughout the Depths to hold the Surface together, stopping it from succumbing to the evil rot Demise has used to slowly decay his prison in the earth and turn it into to a breeding ground for monsters.

So @somerandomdudelmao made a version of their sona in a dystopia (inspired by @tapakah0 doing the same to theirs) and the person in this ask named the robot C.A.S.5 and I thought, ‘well then there’s at least four other C.A.S. units out and about in the world’ leading to this being the end result! It was a lot of fun to come up with the different customizations each C.A.S. unit has.

also, the design for C.A.S.4 (Cash) was partially inspired by @mobiitez post.

Been thinking about another time travel au...

But this time, it's Robin. Just. Robin. She lands the Friday before Will goes missing, and she immediately assumes Steve went with her. Because of course he time traveled with her, why wouldn't he?

Until she gets to school and sees Steve flirting with Nancy and joking with Carol and Tommy. His eyes glance over her without recognition and she realizes she's alone. She panics every morning period until deciding to just go up and corner Steve at lunch and explain to him, try to prove to him she's actually his best friend from the future, and get help.

It ends up with her sitting on the floor of the boys bathroom crying, holding onto (a very confused and mildly freaked out) Steve's hand, and telling him that her day has sucked because how do you even deal with timetravel without your best friend? How do you deal with trying to save the world without them? She can't do this without him and she's freaking out and she wants her best friend back.

And Steve going "hey, uh. Okay. So... you're my friend in this weird future you're trying to stop? Prove it."

Which is something Robin can do. She stares at him for a long time, thinking, and Steve's huffs

"yeah okay. Super weird prank or whatever. Don't bug me again." And goes to stand up but Robin tugs his hand towards her and stops him.

"you are so impatient! I'm trying to think of something to say that won't freak you out and has actually happened! Gimme a minute!"

And Steve raises his eyebrows but he does wait.

"your aunt Ev." She says, finally. "She was your favourite grownup. Loved star trek. You cried so hard when she died and- uh. At her funeral, your dad got mad at you."

Steve blinks at her, brows furrowed."How...how did you know that? Nobody knows that."

Robin smiles. "Dingus. I'm your best friend from the future. You did."

Steve frowns. "Tell me something else."

"okay" she nods "you and Tommy tell everyone both your first kisses were with Carol but the day before you kissed each other."

"what the fuck."

"do you believe me now? Because seriously I need your help with this but I can keep going."

Swallowing Steve nods. Gives her a hand up.

"great. Okay. So, I think we need to tell Jonathan and Nancy about this. Then go to Joyce and Hopper. I'm not quite sure? You were always better at gameplans honestly."

"what about Tommy and Carol?"

She looks at him, and tilts her head (the same way he does) thinking. "Sure. Why not. They'll be suspicious why we're so buddy buddy now anyways."
