Ahem. I present to you all, the best mock up of Steven’s apartment I was able to glean from obsessive screenshots and combs of episodes 1 and 2. It is not exactly to scale bc I was just trying to get stuff down, and if there is a “?” next to something that’s because I couldn’t find a point to see it clearly enough to know it’s placement/what exactly it was, but I think this is pretty good all things considered.

This obvs doesn’t include all the scattered books and shelf knick knacks, or a few things that aren’t 2D, such as Marc’s stashing nook to the right and above Gus’s tank in the kitchen, or the storage loft above Steven’s bed which the wooden supports hold up and the ladder to the left of his bed reaches.

A few fun scene placement moments below cut! (Sorry for weird video format!)

Steven grabs the masking tape from the “tape table?”-ish area when he puts up tape, and regularly tosses the tape into the “tape bin” near Gus’s tank every following morning (the roll is also seen placed somewhere else later but a few things move around and these were the solid points I saw)

Thinking about how important Steven has always been to Marc... Cause even before they actually talked to each other Marc did everything he could to try and maintain Steven's sense of normalcy while still completing Khonshu's missions. He always brought them back home and made sure to redo Steven's tape and locks and sand and restraints so that he could feel normal and keep living his life.

He likely went to work for him a few times, or dealt with things at the museum when he fronted by accident (Jake probably did too but neither of them are aware of it). He got Steven a new Gus when the original died while he had to take the unavoidable trip out to the alps for a few days (they couldn't let Harrow get the scarab and it seems like that was when they planned to stop him), and the entire time they were there he was fighting to be the one in front so Steven could stay stay safe and not have to see as much as he did.

It wasn't perfect, none of it was. Steven was struggling and confused and Marc fucked up a lot, but even when they got home and it was unavoidable that Steven would find out he missed two days, Marc still went through the motions in one last effort to keep Steven in a world that was his.

He tells Steven to stop looking because even though things are slipping he still wants to give him that out, that ability to go back into normalcy if he wants to (Marc is begging him to because he doesn't want him part of his world, he was never meant to be), and even after that wall breaks down between them he's always there to save them, and he tells Steven it every time because it's what he's used to, it's what he's always done. He always protects Steven and Steven is always ok.

But now Steven's seen too much and knows too much and he starts lashing out and getting in the way of missions because he's scared and trying so so hard, but he doesn't fully understand his and Marc's situation, and it throws off the balance of everything Marc worked so hard to create for them.

Steven doesn't appreciate that Marc's always tried to keep them safe, to keep Steven away from all of this, he just sees the negatives, and it hammers home all the bad things Marc tries to avoid thinking about himself. After all, what was the point of any of it if Steven just sees him as the villain? And he doesn't even get to process all that that because they're still racing against the clock to stop Harrow, and even though Marc is pissed and falling apart at the seams he still has to make keeping Layla and Steven safe a priority. Even when he's mad, that's still his goal and his job. He buckles down, gets serious, and keeps going.

But the trial and the relationship between Layla and Steven further exacerbate things, because Harrow's words are discombobulating, and the two people he cares about most were never supposed to meet and were never supposed to be in this much danger. These worlds were never supposed to mix, and everything Marc worked for, everything he tried to keep separate and compartmentalized for everyone's good is in chaos, but he can't stop trying.

And then Harrow shoots them, and for the first time in so so long Marc wakes up and Steven isn't there. He calls out to him in the mirror and he isn't there. That's not supposed to happen. He never wanted that. Steven is always supposed to be there, always supposed to be ok, always supposed to be a tether to draw Marc back and keep him focused, to keep him from going off course or going too hard. And so when he's gone, it just snaps everything back into perspective again. Even if he's pissed at him, he needs Steven to be there, to be ok, because otherwise he's failed.

And then they're reunited, and Marc holds on so so tight, and Steven holds him right back, and neither of them want to let go. So Marc doesn't, he goes right back to keeping Steven safe. He goes out into the hall first, has Steven trail behind, tells him to follow him, and it's right back into their normal, because Marc cares and has always cared. So so much.

Could I request a romantic LMK fic/ficlet with RedSon and a female reader asking them for help foguring out demonic self care? Reader is kind of in the same boat as MK where they absolutely just thought they were human and now they’re discovering they’re not and they’re kind of struggling to get used to their new body, in this case grooming wise. I was thinking a bat demon reader struggling to brush their teeth without breaking the toothbrush with their fangs or getting the fur between their new wings brushed because it’s getting matted lol (it’s already hard to get your back it’s super hard when there’s two things in the way). It can be a bit suggestive but it doesn’t have to be.

You know- you used to think demons were cool. You thought the monkey king's tail was cute, you thought about how convenient it probably was to have those claw-like feet, you thought DBK's horns looked cool [though you'd never say that to his face] and you still think Red Son's bull form is very pretty, fur and hooves and all.

Now, though? Not so much.

You weren't handling the change as well as you thought you would- being struck by the fact that you're not human, not even mortal, wasn't easy on anyone, but you didn't think you'd struggle with your new physical form this much.

While, yes, you looked cooler, you suppose- every new feature came with about a million more hurdles. You thought flying would be pretty neat? Wrong, you can barely stay balanced for over 10 seconds, and you got too air-sick to make use of it's travel anyways. You thought the new big ears were sick? How much do you like them out in public, when there's too many sounds attacking you from every angle, too loud and too overwhelming? And your sense of sight keeps deteriorating- you think you might need glasses now.

You hadn't left the house in a while- a long while, actually. Everything was just too much, and frankly, you were embarrassed being seen stumbling like an idiot in your new form, hunching into yourself at every noise and bright light. You hadn't been checking your phone either- you knew they had questions, you knew they were checking up on you, and it only made you feel more pathetic.

You were at home now, cursing your ancestors and stupid demon blood and stupid fucking bats, trying to wrangle your arm in position to brush out the fur on your back, but your stupid wings kept getting in the way, and you could barely even see in the stupid mirror, and-

You're not sure when you started crying, but you looked down to find teardrops landing on your sink. God, this was ridiculous. This was basic self-care, shouldn't you just figure it out? Demon instincts or whatever? You'd considered asking Red Son for help, and even though you know it's just your insecurities eating away at you, you can't help but be scared that he'd laugh at you-

'CRASH'

You pause, looking through your open bathroom- you think that was your front door. You think someone just busted open your front door. You think someone's currently in your house- you rush to grab a pair of sciccors from your cabinet, ears straining to pick up on the noise outside.

You hear footsteps, some angry mumbling, and your shackles slowly go down- was that...?

"I've called you thirty seven times! Thirty seven! Not that I got worried, but you're not responding to the dragon horse girl either, and I swear on the jade emperor's life if you don't-"

His rant comes to an abrupt stop once he sees you, cheeks still red with tear streaks, hair flat against your head, wings bent awkwardly to cover your sides from view. You smile nervously in an attempt to ease the tension, but it comes out strained.

"R-Red Son! Funny, ah, seeing you here- you could've rang the doorbell, or something-"

He scoffs at your words, walking closer- your wings wrap tighter around you, trying to shield yourself off- you don't want him seeing you like this.

"With how you've been rudely ignoring just about everyone, I wasn't even sure if you were alive, let alone willing to open the door." He hisses out, and although he tries to come off as mean, you can tell he felt on edge, his concern showing in the way his voice cracks at his words, his eyes boring through you. He's waiting for an explanation, but you're not sure you can give one.

"I'm sorry, it's just been- I didn't mean to ignore you as long as I did, really-" you stumble over your words, embarassed and guilty and scared, scared of how he'll react and what he'll say.

His eyes squint at you, his face softening as he takes you in- you look a mess, and as his gaze falls to the broken tooth-brush and tweezers by your sink, the way your fur is dull and matted down, he starts realising that you'd been struggling, and just what you'd been struggling with.

He sighs, slowly stepping closer, his eyes down-cast and worried. He settled his palm over your jaw, thumbing at your cheek to wipe away a tear. "You could've asked me for help, you know." He frowns, gesturing to your state, "There's....specific tools for this kind of thing. You can't just use your usual mortal appliances, they're too frail, and frankly repulsive. They're more likely to make it worse than anything."

You nod to acknowledge his words- you can't even pretend he was being dramatic and snobbish this time, he was right, your toothbrush being enough proof. You feel your frustration settle down into something quiter the longer he stays next to you.

Red Son suddenly pulls away, fire enveloping his form for a brief few seconds- you stand there, confused and wide eyed, as he returns with some form of bag in hand. You're not sure how he managed to get that so fast.

"Well then, up you go." He sets the bag down and shoos you towards the edge of the tub, urging you to sit down. You do so without hesitation, though you raise your brow at him and hum, a little dazed, "Huh?"

"I'll be grooming your fur, of course. As well as trimming your nails- they don't exactly look comfortable." He takes out a fancy looking hairbrush, better-looking tweezers than yours, as well as a few other things you don't recognise. You're still reeling from the fact that he's here, not making fun of you, and now he wants to take care of you?

"Wait," He pauses his movements to look up at you, hair crackling in the air above him, "You...you don't have to do this for me."

You're about to reassure him that you can take care of yourself [despite the fact that you rather evidently need his help] when his finger settles on your lips, shushing you entirely.

"I'm well aware I don't have to do anything, and I'm sure you're aware I wouldn't be caught dead doing something I didn't want to do."

He leans in to peck your forehead, a quiet show of affection to reassure you.

"Now stop with that self-deprecating talk and let me help you, alright?" You nod silently, your ears twitching lightly, and his lips tilt upward just the slightest bit.

Red Son instructs you to turn around so he can start with your wings and back- he handles them with care, especially around the tendons and legions where skin meets bone, the areas sensitive to his touch. His palms and fingerpads are rough, no doubt from all the handi-work he does, and they scratch pleasantly against your skin.

He washes out the areas you couldn't reach no matter how you positioned yourself with a wet rag and water from your tub, making sure they're clean before starting to brush your fur, "hold your left wing for me?"

You find yourself relaxing as time goes on, the rhythmic brushing and untangling soothing your nerves. You can hear Red Son's hair sizzle, his content breathing, the small murmurs he lets out every once in a while, and rather than overwhelm you it comforts you- you feel enveloped in his warmth.

"My mother used to do fur treatment baths for me, when I was little." Red Son starts quietly, his fingers prodding at certain spots on your wings, perhaps checking to see if something's out of place, or perhaps he's just fidgeting.

"I couldn't control my powers, back then, so my fur was always left charred and dry. It was a sensory nightmare for me, honestly. She hated trimming my hooves, though." He laughs a little, lost in a memory, "always said it was beneath her, but the servants could never quite get it right, so she had to until I was old enough to do it myself."

"Do you paint your hooves? Like, with nail-polish?" You wonder aloud, and you feel him smack the back of your head playfully. "Don't ask such ridiculous things."

"You're avoiding the question."

".....well, yes, o-on occasion."

You giggle at his reply- you'd already painted his nails over the course of your sleep-overs, and you were going to abuse the hell out of this new information.

"Speaking of hooves, could you turn around? I'll start trimming your claws, now."

You do as instructed, watching him pick up the tweezers. You hold your hands out on your thighs for him, watch as he eyes them with a thoughtful look. He picks up one of your hands, pressing it against his lips gently before settling it down again. You try to push down the flush rising up your face.

He rubs his thumb over your fingers, separating them so he can work better, the 'snip-snip' echoing through your ears, "I'll leave these behind for you, since sciccors aren't normally strong enough. You have to be careful not to go past this white line here, though, otherwise applying pressure to your claws will be painful"

You nod, a little speechless. It was easier when your back was facing him, but now you can see his face- the focused look in his eye, his pretty lips pursing in concentration, and you feel your chest warm at just how considerate and loving he's being. God, you should've just picked up the phone and called him so much sooner and saved yourself the trouble.

"Hey, Red?" You mumble with a smile, and he hums to show he's listening. "Thank you, for all of this. I love you."

He freezes, refusing to meet your eyes- you try to hold back a snicker, but you can't help yourself. You'd been dating for ages, and yet everytime you said that he got all flustered and shy like a schoolgirl. He grumbles, cheeks tinted pink, "Yeah, don't mention it."

Red Son rises to his full height, taking something you can't really see out of the bag before leaving it on the floor- you really need to look into getting a glasses prescription- grabbing your hand and pulling you upwards, towards your room. Your muscles feel lax and relaxed, and you yawn, realising just how taxing the day was.

"I think you should rest for now- we'll have to go to the market early morning before all the high-quality merch gets sold out." Red Son pushes you into your bed gently, settling down beside you, putting something over your ears. You feel all the overwhelming background noise drown out, leaving your mind fuzzy and....relaxed. You're not anxious anymore- you can't hear the earth buzzing constantly in your head anymore.

"They're noise cancelling headphones- loud sounds tend to...stress me out, sometimes. I have a spare back home, so no need to- mmmfh?!"

You rush forward to kiss Red Son- your wonderful, considerate, stupidly observant boyfriend, who you love so much you can feel it rush through your heart in waves- melding your lips against his. He starts kissing back once his surprise wears off, arms slowly wrapping around you to pull you closer. You feel refreshed, you feel happy and content and loved, and as you pull away you think he can see it in your gaze, because he smiles in relief.

You start peppering his face in kisses and messy smooches- all over his cheeks and jaw and nose, the corner of his lips, the endearing scar on his cheek, making loud kissing noises all the while. He tries to act annoyed, but the way he blushes and leans into you is telling enough.

"Glad to see you back to your old exasperating self."

You push him down onto the mattress, and although he's strong enough to flip you over again, he doesn't, simply laying there and letting you do as you please.

You kiss his jaw and trail down to his neck again, this time slower, paying close attention to the spot between his collarbone and shoulder, fangs just barely grazing the surface of his skin. You feel him gulp against you in anticipation, his eyes following your movements.

"Just let me thank you properly, okay?"

"W-well," his voice is shaky, your hands roaming over his body, claws now freshly-cut and scraping against his skin deliciously, "I suppose I can't say no to that."

Sun Wukong dating/relationship headcannons 🍑

Also, these turned out quite long (and I probably could've made them even longer, given how much I love this character), but I think/hope that you won't mind lol.

Also, not proofread, so sorry about any mistakes! Headcannons are below the cut.

First of all, he definitely calls you 'Peaches' or 'Peach' like, all the time. He will only call you by your name if he wants to show you that he's serious. Also he will occasionally use other nicknames, such as 'babe', 'honey', 'sweetheart'. But that's rare, 'Peaches' is still his favorite.

You are probably the only person he's willing to share his peach flavored chips with.

Also, he's kinda clingy and touch starved as hell. Can you really blame him though? This monkey was pretty much all alone for a few centuries.

So Wukong is almost always touching you in some kind of way when you are near him, even when you're somewhere public or not hugging or cuddling. Either hand holding, or he will curl his tail around your ankle or some more subtle things like that.

He will often groom your hair in search for bugs the way monkeys do if you sit next to each other. He knows you take good care of your hair and there's absolutely no way any bugs or insects could be in it. But it's an instinct, he can't help it. You don't mind however, he's so gentle when he does that that it's actually very relaxing.

He's touch starved to the point when if you have to get up while cuddling, he will whine quietly. But if you ask/tease him about it, Wukong will huff and deny it while claiming that you're just hearing things.

I have a headcannon that while he is very strong and all, his body isn't actually that muscular. In fact, he is a bit chubby. He's quite soft and squishy in a good way- I mean just look at him in the beach scene in season 4, he totally has a 'dad bod'- and you love it. Wukong's body is perfect for hugging.

I imagine his hugs being just the right amount of tight 👌 He's always warm and soft and actually smells really good- he smells of peaches and leaves.

Wukong loves hugging and being hugged, so you can hug him almost whenever you feel like it and he absolutely won't mind.

Call him Sunshine or Sunny or anything Sun related. Please do, he will literally melt.

Overall, Wukong's main love languages are: words of affirmation, quality time and touch.

We already know from the show that Wukong has no problem with words of affirmation, seeing how he constantly encourages MK and it is visible that he means every word. So this monkey will always and often tell you that he loves you and that you mean so much to him. You can count on him if you want some kind words to make you feel better. He may not be the best in terms of logical advice, but somehow you believe him every time he says it's going to be okay. Wukong also makes sure to tell you each day how good you look and say "I love you" at least once a day.

As for quality time, Sun really loves to spend time with you, it doesn't matter what activity. Although he prefers activities either at home or away from big crowds. He doesn't like to show himself in public spaces, the most he'll do is go with you to the cinema or maybe some not very well known restaurant or something. But he really loves to watch movies on his TV or laptop with you snuggled up to him on the couch. Wukong also loves taking you on walks around Flower Fruit Mountain or taking you for flights on his cloud. Honestly, as I said, to him it doesn't really matter what you do as long as he gets to spend time with you.

I already said some things about touch, but I can add that for some reason Wukong loves when you scratch him behind the ears, boop/gently pet his nose with your finger or pet his tail. These parts of him are quite sensitive, and he loves how gentle you are. He will literally turn into a puddle in your hands lol.

This monkey loves kissing you on the cheeks. Or poking you on them.

Generally when he's in the right mood he likes to teasingly poke you in various places on your body. And if you do it right back at him, it turns into either a poking or tickling battle, ending up with both of you laughing your butts off and snuggling with each other.

Sun sometimes likes to rub his cheek against yours.

Okay enough touch for now, I could go on and on about Wukong and physical affection lmao

You sometimes watch your boyfriend train MK when you have the time. You roll your eyes often at Wukong's smugness but at the same time you can't help but think how cool and badass he can be.

The Monkey King loves it when you watch them train, MK not so much, due to the fact that Wukong shows off a lot more when you are around and thus he is a bit harsher in training and more distracted, making it difficult for poor MK (that doesn't change the fact that MK really likes you and appreciates how happy you make his mentor).

This man is such a tease and a flirt sometimes honestly. He uses the most basic and overrated pick up lines just to annoy you. Be careful not to get flustered by any, because he won't ever let you forget it and will be proud as a peacock. Although it is slightly adorable that he's so proud that he got you flustered.

But sometimes you engage in his pick up lines shenanigans and tease him back or make fun of those lines.

"Did it hurt when you fell from the Celestial Realm Peaches?"

"Yeah, it hurt like hell, I landed on my butt."

Causing you both to laugh your butts off for a few solid minutes lmao.

Peaches or peach chips are the main things he eats, so prepare for always having a peach taste in your mouth after kissing him. Not that you complain, you actually like that fruit (although not as much as Wukong does).

By the way, he will absolutely swoon if you kiss him in front of other people out of nowhere (especially if you pull him by his shirt in order to do that); lovesick smile, dreamy eyes and tail shaped like a heart, the whole package lol.

Sometimes Sun likes to visit you at work or randomly pop in while you're somewhere public in the form of a bird or other small animal and just hang out with you, whispering comments about everyone and everything into your ear in this funny high pitched voice (I actually have a headcannon that while transforming his voice is higher the smaller the animal and the other way around)

If you're up for it, Wukong would love to teach you a few fighting or defense techniques. It would also make him much more relaxed and calm knowing that you have at least some basic knowledge on how to protect yourself, just in case. He'll always try to be there to protect you, but he can't promise that he will always make it on time or at all. He may be retired but still has some duties and other things to do.

A bit of a sad thing is, you both often think to yourselves; am I good enough for him/her? How in the world did I deserve such an amazing person as him/her in my life?

Wukong always tries to be happy, and hides his problems, fears or negative emotions behind his jokes and goofy attitude. I'm not saying that his personality is fake, he is a happy and goofy person most of the time, but there are some random days when he has trouble keeping it all in and fails to put on the facade that everything is okay.

If you want to help him in these times, basically all you have to do is sit there with him and be by his side. Give him a tight hug and sit with him in silence or maybe hum/sing something quietly if you want. Honestly your presence alone brings him a huge comfort; knowing that there is someone who loves him even with all his flaws, accepts him with everything he hides inside and with his past mistakes.

Overall, Sun Wukong has his problems and flaws, but he really tries to be the kind of boyfriend he thinks you deserve. And honestly you think he's doing a very good job; he is a very good boyfriend, maybe even the best in all the realms as you like to say <3

okay so one: I have never been more conflicted about a ship in my fucking life

this is ripaxel specific, because of course it is, what else would we be talking about here

on the one hand, no, not in a million years, what are the writers thinking, what insanity is this, I'm so confused and not in a good way at all

but on the OTHER hand...he did opt for using something she liked in a unique way to get her attention, and was like, mega cringefail about it but it still worked??? SHE liked it??? that's the important part.

so???? i'd have to see further how they progress with this before I decide, because oh god was the secondhand embarrassment horrifying during these past few episodes

on the other...Raj and Wayne being upset about cheating actually makes ME kinda upset despite how much I adore MK and Julia's antics!!! like!!!! the boys just want a fair fun game!!!!! how can you say no to those faces???? they're like puppies I stg

i AM relieved this is like, a cheating in the GAME plot and not a cheating in the RELATIONSHIP plot because that is ALSO a TD Taboo and I was afraid, they're still adorable and have an actual narrative, god bless

SPOILERS FOR LEGOMONKIEKID SEASON 4

DAMN CAN WE TALK ABOUT AZURE PLS?!? seriously I both love and hate him sm. He almost seems too good to be true in the sense that he genuinely seems to believe in his cause (like LBD) and believes his way is the only way (like LBD) but is obviously going about it the wrong way (like LBD) but unlike LBD he genuinely seems compassionate and kind BUT also simultaneously being cruel. I think the scene with DBK and his family is just peak representation of Azure lions character. His cause heavily suggests he's compassionate , but when DBK refuses to see it his way , he imprisons him and iron fan. NOT because he was once a demon who wanted to enslave the people Azure supposedly wants to protect ,or because he wanted to take over the WORLD , but because doesn't see eye to eye with him . I mean realistically he knew DBK wouldnt have stood against Azure and protect Heaven ( and probably wouldn't have even know about his plan if Azure himself hadn't told him.) ALSO just his hatred he has for PIF DESPITE the fact that she's no longer affiliated with Heaven and left heavens ranks to be with DBK. Also just him allowing Redson to get away just so all of Heaven could be waiting for their arrival and eventually gooping him all because he stood with Heaven (also can we talk about that scene like DAYUM.) Like dude you just gooped his parents OFC he's gonna stand against you !! Like characters like Azure are so conflicting because on one hand when he's talking I'm nodding my head like "yeah he kind has a point" but he's also clearly not a good dude despite the fact that his reason for fighting is genuinely such a good one. I dunno it almost feels like he's a solider fighting a war that's already over. He's a warrior people no longer need and that's why he's a bad guy? Like yes bad things still happen in the world but it's literally the modern age in LMK. People aren't as helpless as they used to be . if people get sick, they don't need to cry out to the heavens for help and wait on a miracle , they get up and take a trip to the drug store or go to the doctor. If someone's home burns down by the cruel twist of fate, they use their insurance , buy a new one , maybe even use machines too build a new one. Food , clothes ,housing , all mass produced and easily available (mostly anyway) I mean the city MK lives in canonically has a weather station that controls the weather so they can always have sunny beautiful days!! The people no longer need this antagonism , they don't need a "savior" to fight against heaven or create a "paradise" on Earth , because they already have one ! (Or close anyway lol), and that's why Azures plan is so unwelcome . (Also because it ends with the murder of the jade emporer but you get the gist) I dunno thats my take on it , regardless tho , Azure has my heart , but I also pray he gets his ass beat . Amen

Benched is a PEAK episode I mean, Pigsy singing? Macactus whump? Tang's inspirational speech? the energy was high during that scene. Anyways, ep breakdown LEGGO!! Wdym that's YT, its Wukong calling his ex bff "Macat" XD anyways. This ep is the start of "Wukong can't read" jokes which I've seen people get pretty annoyed at, but y'know, the actual punchline was that he has stage fright. He can read if he's been sending MK letters, he just can't do it in front of people. I don't know HOW you pinged Pigsy as a good singer but lmao, nice job. I never guessed it. My reaction was more of a "this may as well happen." Congrats to Tang for no longer being the token human, he didn't realize had powers at ALL until they fully manifested today. Machingling being in charge of effects makes sm sense for his character lol, for a shadow to control the lighting and smoke effects on set heh. the background player. Lucky for Tang this ep, he's not Macquackers here who routinely fails every evil henchmen mission he's ever sent on and gets his fluffy behind handed to him every time. Us, the audience knowing his situation and Wukong being so serious about Machocolate-melting-in-the-sun like he isn't the most pathetic wet beast this season is really funny. Yep, still in the lantern, because turns out. Yeah, he can in fact, stop at something and that's called "being electrocuted at point blank range and being super overwhelmed by the noise" lookie there! they threw in a Six Ears reference by how he reacted!

It was a very good episode.

I was going to comment on the not being able to read thing, but I opted not. I'm pretty sure lots of people already voiced my exact opinion on it.

It'd be better if the creators kinda went with the JttW route, Wukong being blind and relying on Golden Vision to see. And with it being paper, he can't necessarily read words that are printed on it. Not really possible in this story, but it would have made a bit more sense.

But, yeah, the punchline really being his stage fright. That's fine. I don't know many people who haven't experienced any kind of stage fright.

Pigsy being able to sing just seemed to fit into this universe lmao. Also, I think I've heard his VA sing before? I could be misremembering, but I think he can actually sing.

I'm happy for Tang. He deserves some powers. As a treat.

I mean, considering their past, Wukong has every right to treat Macbean as a serious threat. But it is hilarious bc we do know better.

Julia: I swaped her with Kel because mkulia and cactiflower are my favorite rarepairs. She bottled her feelings just to keep the image that she was perfect, which angered Axel. She played multiple spots but stuck to basketball since she was talented at it. Oh since mkulia is Cannon, they're still friends to ithera but they're dating without anybody knowing lol (she also acts like the real her around mk which she doesn't mind)

Damien: Pryia and him were friends who both practiced the violin and piano and got a duet together. The two met up early to get ready, which led to the incident. Damien lost his hat in the timeskip and cutted off parts of his hair because I refuse to believe that sunnys hair didn't grow during those 4 years.

Priya: her and Damien were friends which led them to the duet. She dated Millie because fuck Caleb. The two were close and Priya saw Damien as a little brother she never had. Too bad she died before their duet (I think, nobody says if it was before or after the duet okay?)

Millie: millie is the only one in the group with common sense. She usually gave the group facts and helped them with homework. Millie was the person who was most impacted by Pryias death, she didn't go to school for 2 weeks until her parents forced her. Julia would usually visit her and tried to help her move on, which led to a argument (I had to add the hero and kel argument somewhere, okay?) Since Millie was talented she got to go to college more early than the others, so she wasn't present for the group.

Don't get me wrong.

Some of the ways Red Son's parents seem to treat him early on ("Oh, don't worry, my useless boy," and "useless offspring") is kinda sussy, BUT I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE BULL FAMILY RN LIKE.

Specifically Red Son and his dad.

Already in jttw, I'm pretty sure it's established that Red Son (hehe Red Boy) and DBK were pretty close (I'm rusty on the details bc I haven't read it but I DID watch that one video summary series about it) bUT going into LMK, your first impressions of them are shaky.

BUT I'M GONNA BE HONEST BC LIKE.

I don't think DBK was rlly rude to Red Son except for when he was having issues with LBD. You DO see Red Son desperate for his approval and attention, yes, but every time he asks his father for a chance to prove himself, DBK just says, "yeah, dude, go on". Like. Before LBD, I don't think he ever actually calls him out for his failures? I could be mistaken, so correct me on that, but DBK rlly just let his son go off and do whatever he wanted (when it came to trying to help him with their ~evil plans~, I mean). I will take the offhand, "useless offspring" from the S2 special, but this brings up the possibility that both his parents might have an issue with calling him useless if they're a bit frustrated with him which isn't. Great.

BUT I'm not focusing rn on that. But I do think it goes into Red Son's characterization of wanting to prove himself constantly to his father (that he also hadn't seen in 500 years, so counting that, too).

But ANYWAY.

The fact that his father kept the ring. Wukong and Nezha yeeted the other two but DBK kept the ring in the one place he was absolutely confident it'd be safe-- with him. LITERALLY with him, in his fucking nose. He didn't trust to leave the thing he knew was apart of his son (and arguably hurt his son) in any other place other than on him.

AND GOD the S2 special actually. I wanna talk about them. So badly.

All the scenes?? Notice how at first, Red Son and DBK are kinda rough with each other. This is soon after the S1 finale, so things might still be tense with all of them. Red Son's probably still stuck hearing his father calling him a traitor and telling him off (even though it wasn't rlly him)

DBK's frustrated that he was once a very strong and powerful figure, angry that he'd been reduced to someone selling STREET food. He thinks it's foolish, while Red Son just wants to connect with his father on a different level. He wants to help his father get away from what'd happened in S1, have a "fresh start", like he said. And DBK is angry at that, and refuses to listen. And that's,, not great.

But then he gets kidnapped. And used as, like, a battery.

And Red Son goes off to find a way to help his father. That's his one goal in mind, and he's desperate enough to help him that he's willing to set aside his differences with MK and the gang and team up with them (he even forces himself to.. TRY to be nice to them. Notice how he starts off with telling them "not that YOU CARE, but my father was taken by spider bitch and I'm gonna steal your ship so I can help him" and after being met with resistance, he tries again as... Politely that HE can, and even adds in a frustrated (and probably desperate) attempt to convince them by saying, "save my father, and the WORLD"). Wukong LITERALLY weaponizes DBK's love for his family to get them all free from SQ's webs. DBK drinks so much respect women juice and loves his wife sm that he KNOWS she ain't need protecting and gets so angry at Wukong's implication that she wouldn't. Wukong SPECIFICALLY calls Red Son DBK's "half baked son" and tells him that SQ's gonna eat him or whatever in AN ATTEMPT TO PISS OFF DBK. and while DBK's leaving, he fucking spits out "Half-baked Son" like that sort of phrasing actually pains him to say. He starts to say it, stops, grits his teeth, and forces himself to finish it out. He does NOT like to call Red Son half-baked at that point.

And GOD when DBK goes to rip Red Son out of SQ's webs, and his eyes go from the angry glowy magic shit to his normal eyes, very worried and concerned, and Red Son's little relieved "father" LIKE HELLO? THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH?

And then when Mei tells DBK that Red Son did "a lot of great hero work", DBK just... Doesn't care. Not in the way that a parent just doesn't give a shit about what their kid does, but I mean like, he doesn't MIND that Red Son did some good that day. He doesn't mind that Red Son helped MK and the gang.

In fact, he just wordlessly looks to Red Son and watches his reaction.

He just looks chill tbh, maybe just wanting to hear what his son says about it.

He doesn't rlly look annoyed until Mei does her annoying lil laugh

And Red Son asks him to not tell his mother about anything that happened (which has some,,, Hm,, implications about it but this is focused on Red Son and DBK rn so I'll talk about that another time), and he's just like, "agreed, let's go home... Son" LIKE SIR FBAKFJSO

HE WENT FROM CALLING RED SON HIS "USELESS OFFSPRING" TO HAVING TO PAINFULLY SPIT OUT "HALF-BAKED SON" LIKE IT KILLED HIM TO EVEN CALL HIM THAT AND THEN AT THE END HE CALLS HIM "SON" AND RED SON IS S O HAPPY TO HEAR THAT THAT HE JUST STOPS AND HAD THE CHEESIEST GRIN LIKE I CAN N OT WITH YOU GUYS RN.

But like my original point yeah?? Just obsessed with how much DBK clearly cares about Red Son. He keeps a piece of him attached to him at all times-- a piece that he knew hurt his son, smth that was dangerous, that had to be ripped away from his son in order for him to be happy-- smth he was told to keep safe, and what did he do? Keep it on him. Bc the only person he trusted with it was himself. And Nezha and Wukong threw their rings away.

AAA I didn't expect you to reply but thank you :D! Here's the backstory! It's kinda all over the place lol

Candi (Real name Ash) was a huge fan of Tally Hall before they disappeared one day. While on vacation to America she passed by the forest where the Tallies live and heard the sound of crying (probably from Rob) and decided to investigate. She eventually found the Tallies. At first she was excited, how likely is it for you to meet your favourite band after they disappeared? But she started to get really confused and kinda scared when she realised what was going on. After they finished preforming Two Wuv she tried to run away but got cornered by one of the Tallies (Probably Zubin) and was killed. Once she woke up she was terrified. She had died, come back, and was now essentially trapped with the Tallies for as long as she existed. She's probably always home sick and misses normal life a lot. She chooses to call herself Candi because the Tallies are going crazy over someone named Ashley, and she doesn't want the Tallies to take it the wrong way or think she's Ashley.

She doesn't play any instruments but if a Tally is sick, doesn't show up or just doesn't want to preform she'll fill in, mostly just singing.

She's pretty chill with most of the Tallies, but absolutely LOATHES Zubin. She hates him for killing her and acting like it's a good thing for her. She doesn't talk to him much but if the two did talk it would end in an argument. She's probably closest to Casey since they're in a very similar situation.

I imagine sometimes the Tallies can get kinda clingy to her since she'd be the youngest there and the only fem person there, which reminds them of MK+A. But they do respect her as a different person with boundaries.

She tends to be by herself a lot, and likes doing things like picking flowers, reading, drawing, basically anything she can do to distract herself from her situation.

I did say something about ships, but it's just me generally talking about how I'm not interested in any of them because i hate romance.

But! I don't mind speaking about them and stating my opinion over them. (I'll talk about the ones i know, which are the most popular ones probably.)

so, first we have spicynoodles, Red son x MK.

This ship is..eh. It has potential, but both characters don't seem to have much interest in dating, that's why I don't see them having that much interest into a relationship, especially when both are simply friends, they don't know each other too well.

Then we have dragonfruit, Mei x Red son.

I already talked about this ship, which is one of the best in my opinion, even if i don't ship it.

I just see them being in a good relationship, that's it.

They fit together, and they surely bonded more than MK did with red son.

Then the threesome! the street light ship, MK, red son and Mei.

I don't see this because again the whole MK and Red son thing, yeah.

And because MK showed that he has no interest fully in dating Mei, he even threw up in an episode when "mei" confessed to him!

shadowpeach Is.. interesting.

Considering canon, this ship would turn out to be toxic on Macaque side, and plus these two hate each other.

It's a ship which i don't mind seeing, it's just not my favorite. I prefer them acting like feral cats whenever they see each other rather than lovers.

Then we have the ship between the mayor and spynx (or whatever you spell his name, i never notice him LMAO), which..is kind of a random ship? As far as I know they interacted once and it wasn't even a conversation.

Pigsy and tang are probably the only one who i could agree on, they do act like a married couple. But they seem more like best friends as well, and they probably are. But i won't lie, they seem like those best friends who gave each other privileges. (I swear they won't stop acting like divorced people)

there's Pigsy and wukong! Which is..as cute as it might seem because we can provide wukong being this simp monkey and Pigsy acting like he doesn't like the monkey but always makes him breakfast, which is indeed a cute scenario, i just don't see it in canon.

I always take canon in consideration because that's how I match characters. In ships, friendships ect.

Pigsy dosen't hate the monkey, but dislikes him for sure. and wukong is stated to be aroace in LMK if I'm not mistaken so they wouldn't be exactly a good match (i know aroaces can date, is just because wukong is the type who doesn't.)

there's tang and wukong which is probably simply tang upgrading himself into being an absolute simp over wukong, while wukong dosen't even acknowledge his existence.

Which is a fun scenario, but also, not a good pair.

i don't wanna talk about DBK and PIF because in LMK they are together and they are one of the most healthy relationship i love them sm

But PIF is hot i wouldn't blame DBK.

Then the princess Scorpion and the spider queen who are honestly a ship with no fucking sense but it's also good? Only because in fanarts they are so sweet to each other i love seeing it.

There's Tripitaka and Wukong,,and you can already tell i don't like it.

Just watched the first and second part of the LMK season finale and just AAAAAAAAAAA

I WANT LBD dead so badly, she hurt my boi SWK and made him hurt my boys Nezha, Red Son and MK AND THEN MADE SWK WALK THROUGH SAMADHI FIRE TO SNATCH MEI!! NOT TO MENTION SHE USED HER CHILD HOST AS A WAY TO MAKE SWK THINK TWICE LIKE THIS LADY I HATE LOVE HER SM

SWK is going to be HURTING later both mentally and physically like bruhhhhhh!

ANYWAYS RED SON MY BELOVED I love him sm! He exists and I’m just like zjfjmdjcjdkwjw ALSO THE BLUSH??? THE BLUSH?!!?? I love this boy sm I don’t care if it was simply him being embarrassed for being vulnerable, he blushed at Mei in my mind and I will rest easy with that

The friendship dynamic that is growing between MK,Red Son, and Mei is the best thing ever and also MK and Mei’s individual interactions with Red Son were so cute! Mei teasing and chatting with Red son and him being unable to figure out whether she or MK is more annoying but also it was surprisingly so casual. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FIRST TRAINING OPENING SCENE I LAUGHED MY BUTT OFF XD. Anyways and then I loved seeing MK and Red Son chat like brokis I love them sm like the part of MK throwing Red Son off the ledge to catch him as a bird but Red Son was still freaking out scared for his life is the content I live for!

ALSO BRO I HONESTLY CANT LISTEN TO PIGSY AND TANG SPEAK TO EACH OTHER WITHOUT THINKING THEY SOUND LIKE AN OLD MARRIED COUPLE LIKE BROOOOOO

First off Tang said “I met your parents.” And yes this can be taken as them just being friends for a very long time but to my brain I translated it as these two were/ have been dating and had at some point gotten to the step in the relationship where they met each other’s parent’s like please tell I’m not crazy!

second the part where Pigsy says ““you’re special to me.” To Tang! Not ““you’re special to us” it’s “you’re special to ME.” Like bro that might be a mis translation but honestly was it? XD

Third and final from what I saw! Pigsy shielding Tang from Macaque and Tang also holding onto the arm guarding him like please they are so cute and the fact these episodes came out the first day of Pride Month isn’t subvert my brain from jumping to conclusions I love this show sm like really

Mackie being prepared for something being up with MK means he might have heard a whisper of something from the future or he and Wukong had a talk at some point. I'm mostly betting on the former. tbh. I don't think he knew the full extent, but he knew something was going to happen so he had to Be Prepared.
