Losing my mind on the “the Fire Nation loves Zuko” tag on AO3 this morning, as you do. And I can’t get an image out of my head:

Zuko, post Sozin’s Comet, shot full of lightning laying in bed, looking at the maid who brought him tea (a maid who has just lived through the end of the war, but also who has worked at the palace long enough to remember Zuko at the tender age of 8 feeding turtle ducks),

“Leaf me alone, I’m bushed”

Thereby endearing himself to the entire palace staff.

Flashes of memories and faces but that's it #He believes himself to be a War Child. Ursa loved him but she was also distant in illness and grief.#She taught him to hide his real name and his firebending at all costs. Agni only knew what would happen to him if he was found out.#The last thing Ursa said to him before pushing him out of the burning cottage was to search for his Uncle in Ba Sing Se #He would help him. Keep him safe. And he had answers.#He could tell Zuko of his past and his memories and shed some light over his strange dreams and his mother's sorrow #He just had to reach Ba Sing Se and find him. The Blue Spirit episode (ATLA) is just so funny to me, cuz we have:

Aang: running around to look for a cure for his sick friends -> running away from insanely talented archers -> getting the closest to being actually captured he has ever been up to this point -> somehow managing to escape from that with the help of a mysterious stranger

Zuko: is the mysterious stranger & probably having his first mini identity crisis after their "do you think we could have been friends?" talk

Katara: holding on to her conscious mind as best she can, cuz

Sokka: is Hallucinating™ the entire episode (for the first time) and only comes back to himself after sucking on a frozen frog

Momo: having the time of his life on little missions Katara keeps sending him to, for reasons he can't comprehend but hey, fun is fun

Miyuki, the cat: "allegedly" fugitive from the fire nation.

okay like maiko annoys me for a lot of reasons but the consequences for mai helping azula to hunt down zuko being apparently non-existant to their relationship annoys me so fucking much. she tried to have him imprisoned and she's never shown feeling even any remorse about that?? and then they get together at the end??????? hello????
