Blood. Blood on her sheets, blood on her nightgown, blood probably on the mattress too, fuck! This isn’t fair! She’s too young to die! God, what has she done wrong? ---- Nanami trips over a milestone, and her resulting emotional rollercoaster derails everyone's day.

So, months and months ago, I had an idea. See, Nanami’s Egg really reminded me of menarche in some places (especially the bit where Nanami worries that she’ll be made fun of for being “late”), and I know I’m not alone on that, but I thought to myself, “if she had her literal first period it would have gone differently”. I made a post about it and messaged @palms-upturned about it back and forth a bit, and eventually (pretty recently) I had actual ideas for scenes and started writing a fic. It spun wildly out of control and this was the result. Have fun.

there's something to be said about characters in rgu who can't reconcile their perceptions and desires with the prince/princess dichotomy and what that renders them within ohtori's system. what i'm saying here is there's something to be said about nanami (calf-shaped prince who shouldn't be a prince but is, to a false prince, thereby shattering false prince's self-image), juri (boy-shaped girl who doesn't want to be a prince but is forced to be if she accepts her sexuality, thereby attempting to prevent her from doing that) and saionji (boy princess who would only ever be a prince for one person who, again, is a false prince). like tldr that's such a fucked framework for relationships and how it's expressed with these characters is especially interesting to me

They will literally contradict themselves within 5 minutes. Hi! I just found your blog and your TGAAC liveblog, and I'm reading through it right now! GAA2 is tied for my favorite Ace Attorney game with AA6 and AAI2, and I'm really happy to see more people enjoying it!

Do you have a favorite part so far?

Howdy! I am definitely absolutely loving this game(s)! To the point that... it's very tough to choose a favorite part. I guess if I narrow it down to the second game, then that helps a little bit. But it's still really tough... Susato as Ryutaro is absolutely incredible, and her return has already been amazing. I also have gleaned from some tags on my posts that apparently there's a chunk of people who don't like 2-2 much, but I really enjoyed it. Admittedly the timeline jump back to the middle of the previous game caught me off guard but I had a lot of fun with the characters, and there's actually one line of Shamspeare's that I've been saving because I have a feeling it'll be kind of key to my overall impression of the whole game, so it definitely ties in with the themes. So far, 2-3 has been lots of fun as well, and I am having INTENSE SUSPICIONS and am poised to freak out about a couple of things coming up...

Okay, I said just the second game would be easiest and then got excited about all three cases so far... and am fighting back the urge to gush about all sorts of various characters. I think perhaps one of my favorite scenes in game 2 is tied between Ryutaro's excellent takedown of Menimemo's hypocrisy (I also love the way it ties in to the overall themes)... and the bits I've most recently played where she and Ryunosuke are reunited. Their friendship is so so so lovely. .....Also the scene where Olive admits to what she's done. It was super badass and sad. ...Also also Herlock being stupid. I have a special place in my heart for all of his antics.

ik its too soon to speak but... im excited to see a post gojo jjk world... i think its too early to call it good or bad writing but me personally? i think gojo dying makes for more interesting possibilities for the rest of that cast and their growth and development as characters

So far I'm really enjoying the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles by the way. The themes in it seems to take itself a lot more seriously than the original Ace Attorney Trilogy, and while it does have its own strange cast of characters, it feels a lot more realistic, if that makes sense. There are parts of it that are 'out there' but it feels more grounded to the universe itself. You can really see where Phoenix gets his tendency to find the truth in every case from.

The number one thing I’ve learned from this whole Johnny Depp trial is that more people should learn basic legal practices in school. Like this is stuff real people actually get involved with and yet it’s nowhere in our education system outside people who study law in college and that is not okay
