there is no conjuring something from nothing. there is a give and a take.
opinions may differ on this one but im personally glad they kept her death in the show. in the books tissaia is more of a mysterious figure of power and wisdom - her suicide metaphorically represents mages killing themselves my their own hands.
now, in the show the same metaphor stays, but also we saw a much more humane side of her. we saw a woman who gave and fought for her goal and that's aretuza. when yennefer wanted to give up tiss told her how she has so much more to give. The thing is, tissaia did not. but it's done wonderfully. yes, it heartbreaking but when she took her own life she wasn't losing control, she was ending things on her terms. because she knew she gave all she had, in that moment i believe she was content and knew she's leaving the world of magic in the good hands. but her time in it was up. she lived a long life, full of blood and heartbreak, but in the end she made something good, even if almost all of it was destroyed.

Yennefer netflix leading the lodge, can't say I'm surprise.
So:
-Yen steals Vilgefortz's role in Sodden
-No Phil fighting in Sodden
-Tissaia steals Philippa's lines
-no Rience vs Geralt (feat Phil & Shani) scene in Oxenfurt
-no Lodge of Sorceresses leaded by Phil with no Montecalvo
Uuuuh and this isn't even everything. I swear this is ridiculous. Soon enough Yennefer will be the empress of Nilfgaard, riding with the Wild Hunt during her holidays and also travelling between worlds.
Don't get me wrong, I love Yennefer (books, games), she is one of my favorite characters of the Witcher universe. But this is a robbery.
What pisses me off the most is the fact that Phil will probably do a coup (another) and take over the lodge while laughing like a demon. I hate when they just erase everything that makes Phil subtle and important. Now she is below Yennefer in terms of power balance and I hate it so much (and I bet book Phil too).
This moment was so important for me, you know how much I love the lodge. I'm sure they will erase Assire and Ida too. Poor babies. Or maybe it's better that way. With netflix we could have full confident Assire with a dog called Arthur and Ida being super rude with everyone except Sabrina.
I want a book lodge of sorceresses reaction to netflix lodge of sorceresses now.

I drew this one last year, just never posted. I was going through a "random lines everywhere" phase.
