Listening to Michael Knowles yesterday and he made a great point that if you do not cultivate your reason and will, you are not free.
If you cannot be tempted with something and resist it, you are not free, you are it's slaves.
Our society speaks as if freedom is freedom to indulge perpetually in sin, cultivating no virtue, but that just makes you a slave to vice.
You need the information to choose and the will to choose, otherwise you are trapped and controlled by your ignorance and vices.

I don't think I'm mentally or physically prepared to see lil old 13 year old William Andrew Solace going to the plaza with Percy Jackson.
if that boy doesn't look horribly distraught and heartbroken I do not want it.
Also when Percy gathers the counselors for the second day is will gonna be there 😭
rick please give these characters a part in the plot before they're properly introduced, give us lil easter eggs. Like in the first ctf scene when Luke is running back, he has Apollo kids with him (itmaybehermeskidsidontremember) the perfect opportunity for it to be Lee or Michael running with him. I wanna KNOW these characters, i wanna recognize these guys from the backgrounds before they get killed. Lee is never mentioned until BoTL, Michael isn't introduced until TLO, and they both die in those books.
GIVE US LIL WILL FOLLOWING LEE AROUND THE INFIRMARY PLS
Or Jake and Nyssa following Beckendorf around, lil Drew, lil Cecil or Lou Ellen. I wanna see t h e m s

The only anime Matt can watch to stay relevant AND wholesome is Spy×Family
Tumblr media
It's brief per episode, already has a huge fandom (especially in the military) and it supports marriage with children.
He could get through the first season once he saw it as a typical mid-range family cartoon with a little bit of Cartoon Violence but an overall wholesome plot (which focuses on the family as a positive institution that orients people towards each other & their community). Animated shows are assumed to be Kid Cartoons immediately, and that isn't Matt's fault.
Let him get to know Mr.Forger/ Agent Twilight
Tumblr media
Show the agile maternal nature of the Thorn Princess
Tumblr media
Display the supernatural ESP of Anya alongside her whole-hearted desire to stay with her adoptive parents
Tumblr media
THE ENGLISH VERSION IS REALLY GOOD!
Tumblr media
Show Matt Walsh this isn't a Satanic medium of art any more than other illustrative art could be used to portray & honor sinfulness. Furthermore, the fact that such a show has been an immediate success (in a fanbase that is known globally for lewdness and social degeneracy) means the audience was primed and happy to receive such a heroic story.
The challenge will be getting Matt to live stream his viewing on Twitch.

In early March, I was featured on a Hershey Canada limited-edition chocolate bar for International Women’s Day. I was humbled to be a part of the ad campaign and hoped my inclusion would send a message about celebrating women in all our diversity.
Instead, it sparked a global campaign to boycott the company. Within days, I was targeted by figureheads of the American far right. Matt Walsh deadnamed me and called me a “vile, woman-hating extremist” to his 1.8 million Twitter followers. Brett Cooper dug up my pre- and early transition photos. Tucker Carlson—then still on Fox News—mocked me with out-of-context quotes from my Twitter and Instagram feeds and equated me with fascists. The day after Michael Knowles broadcast a segment about how “Hershey’s Transes Their Chocolate” on his Daily Wire show, he gave a speech calling for the extermination of “transgenderism” from public life.
The coverage was relentless. Scores of articles appeared in right-wing publications, and thousands of obscene messages poured into my Twitter mentions, DMs, and email inbox. Memes and caricatures of me were shared on social media. I was called a fag, tranny, groomer, and paedophile. I was encouraged to kill myself and threatened with physical violence. [...]

Twitter thread by the Indiana Mutual Aid Coalition covering the incredible show of solidarity amongst the students of Purdue University who protested, disrupted, and drowned out a Michael Knowles speaking event from beginning to end
[ID: A tweet by @INMutualAid that reads “Yesterday Michael Knowles, best known for recently calling for the “eradication of trans people from public life” at the largest conservative convention in the US, allowed by Purdue’s administration to advocate trans genocide on campus. The student body responded in many ways.” followed by an emoji of a spool of thread. END ID]

A queer look at the sacrifice of Isaac
content warning: political & religious transphobia, family rejection.
Tumblr media
Detail from "Abrahams Opfer" by Adi Holzer Werksverzeichnis.
Genesis 22:1-14 is one of scripture’s most disturbing stories. In it, God seems to command Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac.
Abraham exhibits an unquestioning obedience, even to this most cruel command.
If this is a test of faith, did Abraham pass?
…Or did God want Abraham to ask questions, to demand to know how such an atrocity would glorify the Divine?
After all, this is the God whose heart will be won some generations later by Jacob the god-wrestler; who will inspire psalmists to bring all their naked, honest anger and hurt and fear into their worship-songs — as in this Sunday’s Psalm 13: “How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?”
Let’s look at God’s response once Abraham has done as commanded, taking Isaac up to the mountaintop, tying him to the altar, readying the blade — God now cries out, “STOP! Do not lay your hand on the boy! Don’t do a single thing to him!”
We find that God does not thirst for children’s blood. God does not trade human lives for blessings.
God makes it very clear here: You may not sacrifice your children on the altar of your religion.
How does this relate to the LGBTQIA+ community today?
In their sermon titled "No More Sacrifices," Kate Davoli connects Abraham's belief that God wills his son's death to the treatment of LGBT children in our own era. The rest of this post is drawn from their sermon.
Anti-LGBT preachers and politicians have been offering up our lives as sacrifice for decades now.
They convince parents that their children are doomed to hell if they turn out to be queer. The kind and holy thing to do, they say, is to try to make your child cis and straight  — in spite of study after study proving that conversion therapies and lack of acceptance kill.
In spite of a God who says, “Do not lay a hand on the boy! Don’t do a single thing to him!”
If a child persists in being anything but cis and straight, the "Christian" thing to do is disown them, kick them out — sacrifice family ties to a hateful God.
They only preach the first half of the story: God’s command to sacrifice a child — and expect unquestioning obedience from parents.
Some go even further, offering up the suffering of transgender children as a sacrifice for national security:
“For the good of society … transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely… National decline is not inevitable…for a moral and religious people.”     — CPAC speaker Michael Knowles, March 2023
The growing wave of anti-trans bills that deny children spirit-saving medical care, attempt to wrest them from supportive parents, and lead to depression and even suicide, is an attempt at cultural purification in the name of God.
“Come,” they are saying, “Let us take your children, your precious children, whom you love — they are already doomed to hell, so we will sacrifice them on the mountain God has shown us and it will mean prosperity for the Land; it will turn the nation back around to receive all the wealth and security God promised us.”
That, friends, is blasphemy: it’s a lie about who God is and what God wants.
God makes known throughout scripture that Their will is abundant life for all, and particularly for the most vulnerable. Anything that harms children — that leaves them feeling broken and unheard, that puts their physical or mental health at risk — is not of God.
Call to action:
What will you do to fight against the sacrifice of these little ones?
How will you ensure that our fellow Christians who counsel “sacrifice,” and who call sinful what God has declared good, are not the only Christians speaking about “what God wants”?
How can you and your faith community show up for transgender children, and the LGBTQIA+ community as a whole?

“If freedom were merely choice, then God would not be free, because God cannot choose to sin, because God’s very being precludes evil.
God, obviously being free, is free because He wills perfectly and understands perfectly. We will be free only inasmuch as we align our wills and our intellects with God.
Intellectual darkness, lies pervading society, compromise all of our liberty, because they stop us from willing good and true things. And the society crumbles.”

Fandom: Trials of Apollo Rating: Gen Genre: Family Characters: Kayla She always said she was going to make it to the Olympics, and aged eighteen, it finally happened. TOApril day 5 - For the Best, and maybe I twisted that prompt a little bit here but Kayla deserves to be the best so here we go, ft. some background very proud fathers!
It seemed stupid, being so nervous.  There wasn't anything to be nervous of, not really.  Kayla was an amazing archer and she knew it - she couldn't not know it, with her upbringing, with her fathers.
It was just another target to hit.
The fact that it was in a different country, a different continent, and there were more eyes on her than ever before shouldn’t mean anything.  A target was a target was a target, and she’d been able to hit gold every time without fail at far greater distances than this since she was fourteen.  Aged eighteen, with a far more powerful recurve bow than most people expected to look at her, a mere seventy metres was nothing.
Except this was the Olympics.  This was Kayla’s dream, the thing she’d aimed for since the first time she’d held a bow – and Kayla didn’t miss her shots.
This was the world stage, with laurels and medals and broken records waiting for her.  The current women’s world record was 680.  Kayla could beat that.  Kayla had beaten that, training in Camp Half-Blood, where mortals couldn’t see her and would never know.
Part of her thrived on that, the little bit of showmanship flair she’d inherited from her dad.
(It had been one of the things she’d shared with Michael, for the scant few months she’d known him.  The inborn talent to show off, to settle comfortably into the self-assuredness that she could do whatever she set her mind to, and be good at it.
Would Michael be proud of her, for making it to the Olympics?  Would he be proud of her if she won?
She thought he would.  She hoped he would.  He’d been rough, didn’t understand how to be gentle, and she knew she’d only known him while he was grieving and stressed, but he’d been her big brother, and he’d grinned whenever she shot better than she had before.  She couldn’t imagine him not being proud of her.)
These mortals didn’t know her.  Well, some did, because Da had been an Olympic coach for years.  The Canadian team had watched her grow up, aside from the years she disappeared to what they’d always claimed was a boarding school – and she knew they’d feared her skills hadn’t had a chance to bloom away from her coach of a father, because they didn’t know that camp meant archery training as often as she could get away with, that there were days she’d been at the range from dawn til dusk just because she could.
But most of them didn’t.  She was an unknown, to the world stage.  Barely any competitions to her name, and even less of them recent.  By all rights, if she was someone else looking at her, she wouldn’t expect much.  Clearly something got her on the team, and it wasn’t nepotism because Da didn’t do that and Dad wouldn’t belittle her like that, either, but the other archers, the coaches from the other countries, the audience didn’t know that.
They didn’t know where she came from.  There were expectations, of course, because the name Knowles held weight in the world of archery – Da had worked hard for that – but no knowledge.
Kayla shouldn’t be nervous, because this was easy, she had made far harder shots when she was eleven and crying because she didn’t know if her favourite big brother was alive or dead.
But it was the Olympics and there were nerves creeping into her chest that had no right to be there, because this was her dream and how dare something as unnecessary as nerves interrupt it, but of course they were.  She hadn’t expected anything else, not really.
Da was on the sidelines, a distance that felt far further than the target ahead of her even though it was actually closer.  She was pretty certain Dad was somewhere in the crowd, too, and Artemis might be as well.  Not for her – or at least, not exclusively, in the case of Apollo – but because this was their domain and Dad had told her enough stories of Olympic competitions over the years that she knew he always went.
Why wouldn’t he?
That didn’t matter, though.  That couldn’t matter.  What mattered was that Kayla had one arrow left to shoot, and then her Olympic journey was over, one way or another.
Because she wasn’t so unknown to the crowds watching her, really, or the world, because she’d battled her way through all of the stages to this one.  The last one.
Whoever scored better here got the gold medal, and Kayla wanted it.
Eyes were on her, the upcoming, unknown archer with the record breaking score (not perfect, because Kayla was holding back.  She couldn’t stand out here too much, had to still seem realistic to all those watching mortals, and no-one scored perfectly in all of their shoots at the Olympics.  That just didn’t happen.  She’d ease that in slowly, next time and the time after, getting better and better until everyone knew her name and she held records that could never be beaten, only matched).  The official Olympic record was 680 for women, although the unofficial record was actually 682, and Kayla was one last arrow away from breaking the men’s record of 700.
She would do it; she knew she would.  This arrow would hit a perfect bullseye and catapult her to 703 – a far cry from the perfect 720 she had done at camp (had done several times at camp), but a broken record that put her name on the map without letting room for cheating allegations to take root.
(There would be some regardless, Da warned her.  Not everyone was gracious in defeat, and she was making waves breaking the records like this.  There was nothing to find, nothing to prove, because the only way Kayla could be considered a cheater was because she was the daughter of Apollo, a demigod born directly of the god of archery himself, and she refused to consider that cheating when it was just who she was.)
It was almost anticlimactic, in the end.
A perfect bullseye, the best arrow she’d shot all Olympics, because she’d been holding back but couldn’t do that to herself completely, if she was going to win, she was going to win, and the world exploded.
The immediate aftermath was a blur.  There was Da, jumping up and down in sheer delight and barely waiting for her to put her bow down before he was swinging her around as though she was still a little girl.  There was handshakes and hugs and congratulations from the other archers, no-one begrudging her score because you could be disappointed in yourself, in archery, but never in others doing well.
There was microphones and flashing cameras and the Canadian flag draped across her shoulders, and so, so, slowly, the realisation that she’d done it, that Kayla Knowles was the Olympic champion, the new World Record holder, and the youngest to do all of that, too.
There was Dad, too, making his way down and seamlessly merging in with the team even though he wasn’t one, and a flash of silver somewhere up in the stands was Artemis, too, although Kayla didn’t expect the goddess to congratulate her anyway, so she wasn’t bothered when it was only her father that came down to give her a massive hug and beam with pride.  Her siblings hadn’t made the journey, not because they didn’t want to but because they had responsibilities and there were so many of them it would’ve been impractical, but she knew they’d been watching from wherever they were and made sure to wave directly at all the cameras for them.
But it was the medal around her neck that finally brought her back to clarity, the Canadian flag high behind her, flanked by the South Korean flags of the silver- and bronze-medallists, and O Canada playing for everyone to hear.
She’d done it.

I found conservative Hazbin Hotel fans defending the show from the daily wire. Charlie Morningstar might be on to something. Just look it up on YouTube go straight to the Michael Knowles video and look at comment section.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m glad the people here aren’t that retarded but by god how on earth can you be a Michael Knowles fan and like Hazbin at the same time…wouldn’t the extremely gay vibes melt your brain or something?
Same with Tim Pool’s video.
Tumblr media
But eh, I can’t necessarily complain either, I guess I just find it really weird when conservatives are actually fucking reasonable and not lunatics. I’m just too online lmao.

You're not a feminist if all you post on your blog is anti-radfem content - if you're actually a feminist, show it: post whatever activism you truly believe in. Don't just tear down women who have slightly different beliefs than you. Stop bootlicking men, they aren't gonna fuck you for posting anti-feminist bullshit lmao
“If you don’t agree with fascists you aren’t a real feminists”
Bootlicking the patriarchy and demanding the genocide of minorities isn’t feminisms honey it’s fascism
You are not a feminist you are a misandrist that pretends to be an activist you will defend the tyrants as long as they say they hate trans people because you believe they are men
Just look at the bedfellows you share … Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles and every terf in the UK supports the tories and their anti gay anti abortion bs
Also I’m a cis man not a woman nor a troon (as you like to say) I’m an anarchist and anti fascist that has fought Nazis face to face for over a decade now(in the very literal sense btw) and I will oppose fascism no matter the genitalia it possesses

I watched Michael Knowles video on Hazbin Hotel so you don't have to.
I have sectioned off this post so you can just read the funny bits (in bold), there's a warning in the second paragraph, and some introductions to this in the beginning. I can't put subway surfer gameplay next to my blog but I hope this will do. I was shared a funny video about a highly religious YouTuber named Michael Knowles, which by the way no witch hunting it doesn't accomplish anything, and I found the video hilarious but I will give some warnings.
Tumblr media
His content can be incredibly offensive. He's proud of this but despite having nearly 2 million subscribers his last videos, which he posted in the past 24 hours, all have under 60k views one of which only has 11k. Despite the whole point of being a content creator is to be likeable and make content people like I'm sure he'll complain about cancel culture being the reason he's failing any day now. That's what people like him say to justify people not liking them. I'm also making this post because, even if you're not worried about certain triggers, this dude will not get out of my recommendations. I'm legitimately considering getting a new Google account. He is completely unironic although it wasn't until I watched a couple other videos to know this. I'm not making the typical "haha I thought this was satire it's so bad" joke I mean I genuinely thought in all honesty he was satirical. His whole personality is about how he thinks he's right about everything. The first line in his YouTube bio is "Bask in the simple joys of being right". That and about leftists yada yada. He doesn't have beliefs of his own, he's just an echo. He looks and sounds like a discount Ben Shapiro and even I think that's too mean against Ben Shapiro. He has a cup with "leftists tears" on his desk. To make your whole personality about how you hate everything must be miserable. Extremely, miserable. The amount of effort this dude spends trying to claim his mentality doesn't make him miserable is incredibly telling and the cognitive dissonance to dedicate a channel to things that offend you and then to claim you do it because others get offended so easily is incredible, but back to the main subject. The video actually starts of interesting. Hazbin Hotel has inspirations from various myths and legends and this person knows a lot about them and shares some light on where Vivziepop probably got some of the plot points from (e.g. How Lilith is portrayed in Judaism). It is all down hill from here though. This is me trying to be, no pun intended, open minded and a devil's advocate.
Despite the show being rated 18+ he claims it is for children and then after he's made up in his head it's specifically made for children he gets angry because of that. He talks a bit about "hook up culture" and does not seem to understand that two people hooking up can be beneficial for both people involved. That sex between two people can be an equal exchange for them. I feel so sorry for his wife. He also goes into how demons can't love but Hazbin Hotel of course does a great job at questioning this subject. If Hell is forever it doesn't make sense. Do you humans lose free will the moment they enter heaven? They're immortal at this point eventually they'll sin so would they not go to hell or is it inevitable even if you make it into heaven you're eventually damned for eternity? Can angels do whatever an remain in the sky? In the bible Lucifer shows there's a limit to what you can do so it is possible. However, Michael Knowles usually only tackles dilemmas he has an answer to and even then they're not great answers. He talks about how Eve was considered an equal to Adam in the bible but then goes into how Eve completely submits to Adam which would not be equal. Do keep in mind he watches the opening season to episode one and that is it. The rest of the show could expose him to a few too many beliefs that he doesn't share and we can't have that. He goes into how the right is riled up, radicalism, and satanism. This was a roller coaster the first time I watched it because the first minute or two I'm like "Oh cool it's kind of educational" and then the rest I'm like "Is this some sort of dry humor I'm not picking up?". "Leftism from the beginning has been a rebellion against God".

Michael Knowles, the far-right Daily Wire host who recently called for eradicating “transgenderism,” played a gay character in a student film.
On Thursday, Twitter user @RightWingCope posted a clip from the low-budget short. “The current headliner of conservative homophobia and transphobia played a gay twink,” they wrote. “So much for restoring ‘traditional masculinity.’”
Tumblr media
In the scene, Knowles’s character and another man are shirtless in bed, having apparently just had sex. “That was…wow,” Knowles’s character says.
Before becoming a right-wing pundit and anti-trans lightning rod, Knowles was a struggling actor, appearing in short films and television shows. According to IMDB, he even landed an uncredited role in an episode of the acclaimed Steven Soderbergh-directed series The Knick. But if you scroll down far enough on Knowles’s IMDB page, you’ll find a credit for a 2012 short film called The House of Shades.
The full student film, which appears to date back to Knowles’ time at Yale University, is available on YouTube, and it didn’t take long for Twitter users to unearth it. YouTuber Jackson Wagon also recently included the film a video in which he critiqued all of Knowles’s acting performances.
According to the film’s description, The House of Shades “revolves around the interconnected relationships of a group of college students and the student-ran nightclub/cabaret they call home.” On both YouTube and IMDB, Knowles gets top billing in the film.
In the film, Knowles plays a queer student named Gavin who, having just broken up with his girlfriend, sets his sights on a male athlete. After a night out, the two end up sleeping together.
youtube
The clip surfaced a little over a week after Knowles made headlines for a virulently anti-trans speech he made at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). In his speech, Knowles claimed that “For the good of society, and especially for the good of the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely — the whole preposterous ideology, at every level.”
Critics quickly accused Knowles of advocating for genocide. In response, Knowles attempted to walk back his statement, claiming he was calling for the eradication of an ideology rather than people. Being transgender is an identity, not an ideology.
Since the House of Shades clip surfaced on Twitter, users have lambasted Knowles as yet another anti-LGBTQ+ figure with some inconveniently queer skeletons in his closet.
