these girls and the times of warmth, comfort, protection, and affection throughout the span of this show. they brought me such joy, devastation, and empathy throughout the entire span of the show. i love them both so dearly.

every time i see where they started as children and the fate they were doomed to as sisters, my heart breaks into a million pieces.

they were both just children and didn't deserve all the misfortune that befell them. i wish they'd had a happier ending together, my weeping soul.

Ugh, I still can’t get over the twitch his mouth does in the first gif when remembering their first meeting. You can see he’s holding back the biggest grin, because why should he be smiling right now? He has no reason to (in his logical mind) considering Merlin’s just revealed a huge deception.

But he just can’t help it when it comes to Merlin. He’s SO in love.

The finale to Merlin is devastating, but you know what kills me? The tiny glimpse the episode gives us as to the banter we could’ve gotten if we had an earlier magic reveal:

Arthur is dying. And yet he gets this incredibly fond look on his face when remembering the day they first met.

Arthur is dying. And yet he looks at Merlin, the person who’s only just revealed his decade long lie regarding this thing that Arthur’s been raised to hate, and he jokes that Merlin cheated during their first meeting.

Arthur is dying. And he doesn’t really care that Merlin has magic. Only that he lied to him.

Can you imagine all the other moments of banter we could have had as Arthur found out all the other things Merlin did? How he didn’t really know how to juggle and that Arthur had a donkey voice for a bit because Merlin allowed it?

can't stop thinking about the TERROR. the absolute TERROR in Viktor's eyes. when he sees what Jayce promised, all his reasoning for placing such trust and forgiveness in him. that he himself even admits in the end that his course of action was futile, he realizes that it's all futile, that he will fold to Jayce's love.

and deep down, beyond the Hexcore, beyond the Herald, he wants to. all the love and terror balanced there within his eyes. he looks so overstimulated and frozen by the notion that all he does is pointless, that Jayce's words are true, that he and Jayce are destined. that no Evolution, no matter how Glorious, will change the fact that Jayce will win in loving him. I love seeing that horror.

I love seeing that fear in his eyes (he's FROZEN!!! DEER IN HEADLIGHTS!!!!) and that's likely the fear he has to face that's mentioned in The Line. the fear that Jayce's love will win in the end, that he's wrong.

Percy’s face when Sally mentioned Grover playing a role in getting him kicked out of school…

The way his face scrunches up really tight before relaxing? That’s anger.

But not the kind of anger we see in him in the last episode.

This is the kind of anger that makes you cry. The kind that’s underpinned by embarrassment and hurt and feeling like you’ve been treated unfairly.

Percy knows he didn’t push Nancy into the fountain and he thought that, if anyone would have his back, it was going to be Grover. And then he didn’t. And it’s unfair to Percy. It’s Wrong. Because no one believes him, apparently not even his best friend.

And the way he closes his eyes and takes a really deep breath? That’s a tactic that’s literally recommended to stop yourself from crying when you’re angry. It allows your body to “catch up” with your mind.

What do you wanna bet that Percy learned that from a school counselor?
